The best restaurants serving British food in England

We never ask for salt but today someone added salt to the fish and batter making it so salty we couldn't eat it! Won't be ordering from here again.

Terrible food. ! Dark , hard overcooked batter on the fish which was inedible. Chips were dark in colour and soggy. Gravy was so lumpy and thick, it was impossible to pour. A very disappointing meal and an annoying waste of money! It has really gone downhill now

Beach fronted bar, needed today as the temp was high and sunny, £17 for a round of drinks, rum and coke, gin and tonic, white wine and half a coke, coke was a panda coke really no taste at all, young man behind bar didnt look that intrested in been there today, does reflect as next door was packed out and theres only us four here

Visitado para almorzar en el centro de jardinería pidió del menú de la mesa el envoltorio de atún y una ciabatta de atún y queso tostado que no venían nada como en el menú el envoltorio estaba tan sobrecargado con suficiente atún mayo para tres envoltorios que era pesado mushoso y rezumado por todas partes Yo solo podía comer la mitad de la ciabatta estaba frío no queso a la parrilla sin derretir cuando pregunté por qué el servidor dijo que la máquina de parrilla probablemente no estaba funcionando llamó al gerente cuando ella vino le dijo mis comentarios parecía sin molestias y lo dijo una ciabatta fría y demasiado atún en el envoltorio ? en una mansión clientelar y la próxima vez para quejarse antes ! Incluso tuvimos que volver al menú ya que asumimos que la ciabatta a la parrilla debería estar caliente y derretida. Ella no se llevó los artículos para mostrarle al chef solo una disculpa y no le importó en absoluto mi consejo de atenerse al té y los pasteles.

Insulting and exploitive pricing and menu restrictions. Kids food (fish and chips) was very low quality. Starters poor, deserts ok.

Had a private party for my sons wedding. The venue was dirty.. the toilets disgusting. Guests complained of dirty seats. Table cloths not ironed and mess everywhere Buffet not as described. So disappointing and very embarrassing for us.

Solo fui porque mi aplicación Vodafone me dio una bebida caliente gratis y un rollo de tocino o salchicha. Los rollos estaban en el mostrador y hacían ping en el microondas durante unos segundos. Presumiblemente rollos blancos y tocino previamente congelados de origen desconocido. El café estaba bien, pero el rollo era solo comestible. No se ofrece azúcar ni ketchup, y ninguno es visible en ninguna parte. Las salchichas se veían bastante asquerosas. No pagaría por nada desde allí.

Traté de almorzar aquí con un amigo. Me dijeron a la 1: 30 pm que la cocina estaba cerrada a órdenes por el momento debido a la alta demanda (era el día de la media maratón de Royal Parks) pero que volvería a abrir a las 2 pm. Cuando regresé en ese momento, el gerente fue increíblemente grosero y me dijo que aún no estaban aceptando órdenes. Entiendo que estaban ocupados, pero yo estaba muy descontento con la actitud. Me hicieron sentir que no era razonable pedir pedir comida. En un pub. A la hora del almuerzo. El resto del personal estaba bien, pero la gerente realmente estaba decepcionando con sus habilidades de servicio al cliente

Pleasant spot for a tea break. Great choice of teas - we wanted decaf and Earl Grey and both were lovely... and in a proper large cup and saucer. There was a good choice of cakes although we resisted the temptation.

My husband took ill yesterday lunchtime and I can't thank all customers and staff enough for their help and support, in particular , junior doctor Clodagh and young lady with phone who were exceptional. After spending the afternoon at the hospital and being thoroughly checked over , we are home and well.

Just about everything on the menu was "off" and the chap serving was surly and rude. Made Fawlty Towers look positively welcoming. Don't touch the place with a barge pole.

Egg was cold(was the first thing I went to eat), as soon as I realised it was cold I let them know straight away and the man didn’t even apologised. He was defensive and said but I just cooked it I cooked it all at the same time. All I wanted was a hot egg(fresh) I’ve been here a few times and never had this issue! Very rude to me. I paid off card and they refunded me cash which is a joke.

This branch of Warren's Bakery closed permanently in November 2019. The prices were extremely expensive. The nearest Warren's is in our county town of Taunton. If you want to get a pastie from them. I wouldn't recommend it. The better pasties are available from other sources. Not Very Happy.
