The best restaurants serving British food in England

Llevé a mi hijo por un día en el castillo en las vacaciones escolares. Como regalo, fuimos a la cafetería por té y pastel. Cuando se trataba de pagar en la caja con una bandeja de comida y bebida, la máquina de tarjetas se jugó y tardó mucho en pagar. Siendo un niño pequeño, mi hijo no es bueno esperando. Pero se comporta muy bien. Es solo que puedo decir que prefieren no estar esperando. Así que mientras el personal jugueteaba sin cesar con la máquina, me volví hacia mi hijo y le dije: “ve y siéntate bebé”. ; El personal me hizo repetirles lo que había dicho. Así que ahora tenía que decir, “ve y siéntate bebé” al personal. Fue horrible.

Gasté diez libras en un sándwich de carne de res que me aseguraron (al preguntar) que tendría carne adecuada en el sándwich ) como había estado en un gimnasio - había menos de tres onzas de carne de res en la sanny - el propietario había llenado el sándwich con cebolla roja y mayonesa en su lugar! ¡Me sentí forrado! Terrible lugar Fuimos con un grupo grande, unos 30 de nosotros, para una hora feliz después de la oficina un viernes. Esperé años para tomar bebidas cada vez. . . Parece que la estrategia es servirle despacio para que las horas felices terminen rápidamente. . . La primera bebida fue una pinta de Peroni, la cerveza estaba rancia y tenía un sabor desagradable. . . Cuando me quejé con el barman, cambió por otro Peroni. . . Lo que también estaba rancio. . . Claramente necesitaba cambiar el barril, varios de mis compañeros lo intentaron y se lo dijimos nuevamente. . . Pero él se negó y siguió sirviéndolo. Cambiamos bebidas y seguimos. . . Luego, más tarde en la noche, un camarero diferente echó a perder una orden y causó confusión entre algunas personas en el bar, donde un chico afirmó que una chica había tomado su bebida, se produjo una discusión y un guardia de seguridad vino a echarnos. Toda nuestra fiesta pronto se dio cuenta y todos decidieron irse. . . Debido a esto, la mitad de la barra se vació. . . Este lugar tiene una gestión deficiente, un servicio lento y una resolución de conflictos terrible. No pierdas tu tiempo ni tu dinero. ¡Hay lugares mucho mejores en Covent Garden!

Used to be great but now pricey and batter on the fish is nasty!! All soggy and wet on the inside. What ever happened to crispy golden batter! The cod is sliced as thin as possible and slapped in thick stodgy batter… and bloody expensive!!

With it being dog friendky took our little old fellow..pubs own crossbreed dog attacked him 2xs ..luckily he was sat on husbands knee and lifted him out of way..dog obviously cant be trusted and wont be taking him or any young children in..so be carefull

Staff are always lovely and the coffee is of a consistent standard whenever I go. This is my local coffee shop so I go regularly and have never had anything but good service

The nostalgic trays get you excited, but the pies couldn't be less like the originals. Had steak pie, sausage roll and blackcurrant tart. I remember them like they were yesterday and they have nothing in relation to these new pies. The audacity of Pimmies claiming they're just like they're the original recipe - it's like saying blue is red. In isolation the pies themselves are less than average, probably a 2 out of 5, but given their ridiculous claim I have to knock it down to 1.

Ordered food for takeaway, had good ratings on just eat. Wish I'd read other reviews first. Delivery of food was bang on time, really friendly delivery driver. Food was hot, those are the positives. The negatives... Southern fried chicken way too overcooked,chicken nuggets way overcooked, were tough and chewy. The chips were hot, however they had clearly been cooked much earlier in the day and reheated, they too were tough and chewy. Fish batter was greasy. This was my first time ordering unfortunately will be the last, especially afterwards finding they only have 3 stars for councils food hygiene rating. Steer clear.

Looked good on the menu but in reality was awful. The veggie sausages were cold and didn't look as if they'd gone anywhere near any heat, the avocado tasted like it had only just been defrosted with hard lumps in and the other items hardly edible. The trouble is at London City Airport this is about the only place to get a cooked breakfast so they've got a captive audience.

Me reuní para almorzar aquí ayer, fue agradable, el encaje está lleno de carácter y cálido cuando entramos, se encendió el fuego, el whisby whe off parece estar en construcción, pero no se sintió como demasiado intrusivo en la búsqueda de café, solo tiene que salir más allá de las obras y en la tienda de ropa y más allá de la caja de la izquierda, pasamos el letrero dos veces jaja El almuerzo fue encantador, tuve el panini de atún y h bby tenía la sopa y el sarnie, pero encantador, lo único que puedo decir es que el pero de ensalada / guarnición en el lado estaba seco, tal vez un poco de amor por el verde y un poco de hidratación con un poco de aderezo en mi haría una diferencia Creo que la vista sobre el río es fabulosa y nos encanta sentarnos junto al agua en verano con nuestros nietos.

A wonderful local bakery! In a world of overpriced chain bakeries this is an absolute gem. Fresh baked goods that never fail to disappoint. Always a great experience.

Every time we go here they keep putting battered sausages in the order when we haven’t asked for them! Mum went and requested sausage and chips amongst other orders, got home and it was battered not normal. I went and requested 2 sausages and chips , thankfully noticed they were putting battered ones in the wrapping as I was stood at the counter. Said ‘no, I want and asked for sausage and chips not battered sausage’ the reply was ‘you didn’t ask for UNBATTERED!’ ?????? I don’t have to, I asked for sausage not battered sausage. If I wanted a battered sausage I’d have said battered sausage. Son went last week and I specifically said to him to ask for UNBATTERED sausage as I know what they are like. Guess what, he walks home and yes I open my orde to find a blooming battered sausage:( Why they are obsessed with battered sausages is anyones guess, but I’m writing the order down next time and handing it to them on a piece of paper in the hope they can get it right.

What a s**t hole !! Beds uncomfortable no bar no restaurant! , the nets at the window are a lovely shade of grey with a delicate edging of mould . The decking is rotten and god knows where you will end up if you fall through ! Bathroom skirtings are mouldy and the silicone is hanging off in places Avoid!!

Visitamos a un cumpleaños de un amigo. vivieron en los alrededores y decidimos probar algo nuevo. Pedimos cócteles como el sexo en la playa y no sepan bien sino una mala combinación.

Pre booked tables were being used, service dreadful, coffee tepid, cake arrived when we had all drunk our coffee, restaurant manager unfriendly and dismissive, tables not been wiped, crumbs under the chairs.Decor lovely and expensive but ‘fur coat and no knickers’ - need to get the essentials right pdq!!One positive - young waiter Tom was a star.
