The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving British food

Tje only complaint I have is table was booked for 5 o'clock but yet the doors did not open until 5.10pm. We were also reminded to leave at 6.50pm as table was booked for 7.00pm

Stayed for a couple of nights in a very clean & spacious dog friendly room. Met friends for Sunday lunch, & enjoyed one of the best 3-course meals ever. Roast beef was spot on, as was the very boozy tiramisu afterwards. Breakfast both mornings was also very good, with very fresh orange juice, omelettes & full English. All the staff were very friendly, & made such a fuss of our border collie. A lovely short break & highly recommended.

It's been 8 years since we've been here for a meal, and again, it did not disappoint. From the warm, friendly welcome to the absolutely delicious food. The same chef and owner for 30 years proved that this place is hard to beat. Travelled 5 hours from the other side of the country for this restaurant and their special steak. We will always come back as long as this place exists.

A real hidden gem. Very warm welcome, very accommodating and dog friendly We had the breakfast stacks topped with runny poached eggs, which were excellent From walking into the secluded courtyard then into the lovely decorated restaurant the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly Well worth walking up the hill for…….we will be back

We arrived at just gone midday and there was already a queue forming on the street! Because it was just the two of us, we got seated straight away - although it was at the stools directly in front of the window which meant the people in the queue outside were all staring hungrily at us while we ate, and we did feel a bit like animals in a zoo. My partner ordered the porchetta ciabatta and a poutine side, while I had the honey soy chicken bowl. Everything tasted fab and came in decent portions, and the servers were friendly and efficient. We had a nice lunch and I would happily eat here again, though I probably wouldn’t be prepared to queue up for it…

A very tasty well presented meal, with excellent service. We booked this at late notice due to our original restaurant closing due to sickness. Starters and mains were tasty and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Thank you.

We went for the Indian options. Not disappointed at all. Food was so good. Better than our local Indian restaurants. Service was very good as well. Can't wait to go back.

Great little seafood place close to Haymarket. The fish platter was well worth the price. I would most certainly consider coming again.

Just had a lovely breakfast here. We had Eggs Benedict for and pancakes. Really nice. Let's in dogs so that was good.

Visited the restaurant on Wednesday night and managed to get a table but definitely think you would have to book on a weekend which speaks to how good this restaurant is. We had the goats cheese and scallops to start, fillet steak and pork belly for mains with a side of seasonal veg and were too full for desert. It was great quality, very well cooked tasty food combined with fantastic service. A great visit!

¡Me encantaba ir a Wilmington los domingos! Los precios han subido (norma absoluta para Londres) pero la porción del delicioso asado del domingo se han reducido! El servicio es genial y la comida es buena, las bebidas son buenas también y los precios son altos, pero de nuevo, ese es solo el estándar para Londres. Las porciones de comida mataron mi alma 😣

Absolutely amazing experience. The staff are extremely professional and I was particularly impressed by the Sommelier as I was choosing the wine. The food was exactly what we expected based on the restaurant having a Michelin Star. We will definitely be returning for the tasting menu.

We went there for the first time last night, and we will definately go again. Lovely place. You can tell a lot of love and effort has gone into it. Food/service was 10/10.

Always good missed out on the steak and kidney pudding. Hi you have to be early for that! But amazing anyway.
