This is a wonderful slice of Scottish culture. Food, friendship, and tradition are rich and plentiful. Housed in a charming venue outside of Edinburgh, it is worth finding and driving to. There is absolutely no doubt that Kenny and his team will make you feel welcome. If you’re looking for a fast meal, forget about it. This place is about slowing down and getting to know what Scotland and its people are all about. Every single aspect of this evening is great. If I lived in Edinburgh, I would make it a point to take my family and visitors here often. I’m sure I will never forget the evening we spent there.

Friendly staff and huge portions

Such a bad service. My mum 85 year old and 3 of us waiting for the food.It took about an hour to get the food to the table.no one acknowledged about the issue.we had to ask numerous times. And finally they got wrong food on the table. Got only one egg instead of two in the plate and no concern from the staff.very rude. Asked for water but nothing delivered on table.it ruined all morning for all of us The girl was good apologising. I would never visit this restaurant again.

Food was amazing, there was a lovely atmosphere, excellent milkshakes and the woman who served us was very kind. Would go again

Arrived here with a group of friends, landlord came out and barked at my friend for bringing an unopened soft drink which they weren’t going to open and then proceeded to stalk us angrily on the CCTV. Extremely unprofessional, won’t be coming back unless the owner changes again.

A great wee cafe tucked away on the road to Peebles! The food is as good as home cooked, it's always fresh and never disappoints. We're regular visitors, and it's always the first place we think of when heading out. The staff are amazing, providing great service and a welcoming atmosphere - any requests are met if they can, which is handy with a fussy toddler! Can't recommend enough, come by and try it

Searched Google for places to eat breakfast whilst visiting and came across The Ditsy Teacup. What a find. Excellent food. Friendly, helpful and polite staff and a really pleasant setting. Will definitely visit again when next in the area. Trying the homemade fresh scones is a must!

Always been well fed and 1 of the best cafes around

Simply one of my favourite places in the world. Loads of lunch, cake and drink options - with plenty of choice for GF, VG etc. Food is all made with high quality local ingredients and it's very child and dog friendly. My wife judges all other hot chocolates against the dark hot chocolate from Linton Kitchen!

Perfect evening and Gabriel was so welcoming. I popped in earlier in the day, had a chat and booked a table. The food was delicious and so authentic. It is a small venue and all the diners were socialising with other groups. A unique restaurant. Gabriel - sorry I have taken so long to post this....it was in my drafts. My son is coming over at Easter and I have told him not to miss dining with you.

Lovely food and lovely hosts! The chips and onion rings are amazing! Pork belly bites were out of this world!

My favourite fish and chip shop! Always look forward to visiting. The staff are really friendly and greet food!
