Riverside Cafe in Ceredigion

Plenty of car parking available. Lovely food and the presentation was delightful. That Teifi coffee was a bit special too. The environment was an enjoyable story that made me feel quite contented. The serving staff were polite and knowledgeable, and very helpful. The whole dining experience was worth while.

Great spot if you’re vegan or vegetarian. For the prices, you get a lot of food. I got the falafel main, but ended up trading with someone for the quiche of the day which was just amazing. It was mango, mushroom, and something else but I absolutely loved it, flavorful with a crunchy pasty exterior. There’s also a playground right next to the restaurant so it’s great for kids!

Nice lunch at the side of the river the waiter who took our order was a very friendly and funny man originally from Italy!

Superb food! Found this little gem on Google maps. Menu was extensive and inspiring even for the non veggies in the group. Staff were friendly. Highly recommend the Vietnamese fries, which I will definitely try to recreate at home to impress my guests. Also had the gluten free coronation chickpea wrap which was super delicious!

We are fairly regular here, had lunches, breakfasts, occasional cake and coffee. We have also had the Thai night twice, once in the Summer in their garden space and the other tonight as a takeaway. We have never ever had a bad experience! The ladies are incredible, food everything you want veggie and vegan food to be. The Thai food in particular rocks our socks off. Thai fries are a must as are there Bao Buns. Thanks to you Riverside, please everyone support this brilliant business in our fab town!!!

We always loved visiting here if we were passing, however since the menu prices went up so much we can sadly no longer afford to eat here :( I completely understand as it’s very tough times, I just wish we could afford to eat here. Highly recommend their tasty veggie food to everyone.

We arrived in Newcastle Emlyn a little bedraggled after a few days on the road but we were made so welcome and fed with some fantastic vegan food. I had a fantastic curry which was good value for money. So good we went back for breakfast the next day!

Didn't realise this cafe was vegetarian until I came to pay. It didn't matter though because the food was excellent. Service a little slow but they were busy so to be expected. Veggie sausages were fantastic. Dog friendly too.

Saw this cafe did cooked breakfast and was on our way homefrom holiday in Cardigan. Good reviews on TA so booked. We had a great cooked breakfast which I really enjoyed, reasonably priced. Service was great if a little slow. They are also dog friendly. On paying the bill, I asked why there was no bacon in the breakfast, only to be told they were a vegetarian cafe. I would never had gone had I realised this but so glad I did. Sausages were amazing. I would definitely come back here.

Fantastic veggie food in a quirky beautiful place by the river(as the name suggests !) Prompt friendly service.

My partner and I visit this café often because we just can't get enough of the food. There are so many tasty dishes to choose from and everything is made beautifully. It is also situated in a lovely spot by the river and has cute outdoor seating. Also the staff are all really friendly and the overall atmosphere is just lovely. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Fantastic cafe. Thoroughly recommend. High quality food, thoughtful, friendly and helpful service. Lovely to sit inside or out. We sat outside as it was nice and so our granddaughter could play in the little play area. Worth every penny!

A quirky and friendly cafe right by the river and bridge over the Teifi with a car park. It is quite small but has a large covered and sheltered area outside. The hummus and soy seed salad was delicious, as were the chips (though the latter was quite a small portion). Good coffee as well.

Met a girlfriend for lunch at the Riverside Cafe, our first visit, always nice to be looked after by super friendly Ladies who run the cafe, huge menu to choose from, very chilled ambience - doggie friendly, snug and cosy. I had a massive treat of Posh Chips which were fabulous and followed this up with a Mocha Cheesecake. Almond milk lattes were served extra hot. No complaints at all, food was hot, beautifully presented, and delicious. Definitely found a lovely little spot for lunch!

A very varied menu with much of it home made. A very warm welcome and parking on site, well worth a visit.

You'd go a long way to find a better menu for veggie and vegan food. The choices are well thought out and have some great ingredients, plenty of which are local. The jack fruit burrito was next level stuff, so many layers of flavour! Incredibly filling with a nice side salad and some awesome chips. Nice relaxing spot by the river, perfect for a chilled lunch, don't expect quick service, good things come to those who wait though. The cakes looked fantastic, unfortunately too full to find out, but will be going back to find out. Prices reflect the quality of ingredients and cooking, but fair and good value. Staff are lovely and cheerful. Went back a few days later and it was every bit as good. Edit- Went for a Christmas party here and the food was an absolute treat, all three courses were cracking.

Great vegan cafe in a great location with private parking. Dog/pet friendly. We had vegan breakfasts which were delicious and served quite quickly considering how busy they were. The coffee ended up all over our table when brought over but the waitress was prompt to clean the table. A very enjoyable experience!

Often go to the Riverside cafe for saturday lunch. Veggie lasagne is a particular favourite. But today had veggie Kebab. Delicious!! Definitely 5 stars!

Fabulous vegetarian Sunday lunch

A gem hiding in plain sight. The town is quaint. Park up and stroll, a great antidote for achy legs and then, once you've built an appetite, head here. lnside was small, compact, so we sat "outside, inside". A large, warm, covered area with a superbly relaxing atmosphere and views of the river. The Italian owner/waiter served us, along with his huge, bubbling, personality. A great chap. The food was wonderful. All "home made", the coffee a delight. We didn't rush. We sat, listened, enjoyed the winter warmth. I look forward to returning, for next time we shall certainly be having pudding too.

Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. We sat outside next to the river and swing/slide so the kids had space to play whilst we waited for food. All our food was really delicious - even the meat eaters enjoyed the fully vegetarian menu. High chair available, and lots of great food options including for kids. A lovely lunch.

Sadly not for us. We tried two different cakes and both were bland and tasteless and the coffee wasn't very good either. Service was also quite slow despite them not being busy at the time of our visit. Newcastle Emlyn is a nice setting though and they are indeed by the side of the river (and road). There are a lot of coffee shops etc in the town from what we could tell, so you may be better off trying one of those instead.

We loved having lunch here whilst on holiday! Beautiful views and comfortable place to stop for a meal. A lovely menu with choices for everyone - healthy, hearty, delicious food. Highchair available for our son too.

Absolutely fantastic. Beautiful food fast and great service they are all so friendly and accommodating when we wanted different things. The food is outstanding soo many great tasty options and its in an idilic setting with beautiful deco. Theres a kids playground too which kept the kids happy the whole time we were there. I would go again and again

As a vegetarian for the last 47 years I've come across many veggie restaurants that just don't cut the mustard. Some are very good, but I have to honestly say that the meal I shared this Saturday and Sunday with friends was the best I've ever had? I can only describe it as "how mother used to bake it". To be honest, I can't stand the smell of garlic, and that was quite prominent at times. But I look past that and stand by what I wrote above.

Although not vegetarian we decided to give this quirky cafe a try. Sat over- looking river and ordered leek/pot bake and lasagna. Both were delicious and the salads equally so. We were very impressed. Staff were lovely and service good. Prices good. Added bonus is they are dog friendly. We took a piece of the rocky road cake home with us. Was sooooooo yummy. Would definitely return when next in the area. Thank you guys - we really enjoyed our lunch and glasses of wine.

Friendly staff, an lunch menu so much to choose from sandwiches, toasties, paninis n wraps, jacket potatoes all wth an array of fillings. Food Excellent n very tasty can definitely recommend a visit here, decking area for outdoor eating lovely atmosphere at side of River. Will be bk again.
