Crwst in Ceredigion

Food wasn't particularly nice. I went for Turkish eggs for breakfast but my toast was burnt and rock hard and the dish was plain and very oily.

A must visit if you’re getting breakfast/lunch in Cardigan. Amazing menu and food at good value. The building itself is impressive with an additional shop and bakery inside. Highly recommend.

We were looking forward to our first visit to Crwst Cardigan. Unfortunately after waiting for over 20 mins for 2 coffees and 2 sausage rolls it left us more than disappointed! There seemed to be a lot of staff, but that certainly didn’t reflect in the service. We won’t be going back but will continue to visit Newcastle Emlyn where the staff and service is excellent.

Had a fantastic brunch experience at Crwst, Cardigan. We pre-booked as a party of four, knowing how popular this place is—and rightly so! My halloumi and harissa burger was delicious, while my wife thoroughly enjoyed the cinnamon French toast. My mother-in-law, who picked Crwst as it's her favourite spot, was very happy with her scrambled eggs on toast, and her partner loved the special of the day, the pulled pork and fried egg burger. Couldn't resist grabbing a couple of cookies on the way out—perfectly gooey in the middle and crispy around the edges. A wonderful visit; we'll definitely be returning!

Trust the other 5 star reviews! The food here is excellent, the staff friendly, and the atmosphere welcoming, if loud at lunchtime.

Wonderful food! Truly something special in Cardigan. The brioche French toast was really amazing and the "side item" furikake fries m deserved it's own place in the main menu. We were greeted by a somewhat grumpy fellow who complained directly at us for not booking a table of 8 (the restaurant wasn't busy). The rest of the staff were really lovely and they made up for the first impression.

Today, along with friends I visited your beach cafe at Poppit Sands. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. We left in high spirits. When we were almost back home in Llanarth the realisation hit me that forgetfully I had left my purse in the car park toilets. To the anonymous person who haded in the mislaid purse I am truly grateful. To the staff who promptly answered my anxious phone call with the glad news, you were fantastic. Diolch i chi pobl dda Ceredigion.

Such tasty food, lovely drinks and sweet treats, and very warm staff!

Really unique, local produce focussed bakery, cafe and brunch place. We popped in for a Sunday Brunch and enjoyed the interesting brunch options (including sprout tops eggs Benedict) plus the immense hash browns with seaweed. Great coffee and fun place to chill out. Also major bonus - hyper dog friendly!

It is always a treat to brunch at Crwst. We often find it well supported and buzzing which speaks volumes. It might be a good idea to book a table first to avoid disappointment. The staff are smily and helpful and always bring a bowl of water for our dogs. We always send our guests here and then feel a little jealous afterwards, so find random excuses to venture to Cardigan! Things like signing the accounts, taking the lesser used car for a run and a well earnt break from a local Chritmas shopping trip. Last week I had the Haloumi burger in a brioche bun which was absolutely delicious and my husband had eggs royale, perfectly cooked , just beautiful. Coffees are always great, and it had such a nice atmosphere. I would rather go to Crwst once in a while than go anywhere else more often, there is simply no comparison. Just wondering what my next excuse to visit Cardigan might be..... hmmm, a trip to Crwst and .... a tap, yes, we need a plumbing supplies!

Very busy and quite loud atmosphere, definitely book if you want a low table or even a table at all at lunch time. The pancakes were really nice, chestnut, winter berry compote, and white chocolate pancakes, definitely good for people with a sweet tooth :]! I also had kimchi and seaweed hashbrowns. I will say, not really a fan of these, I definitely prefer the regular hash browns from here! I feel that I was given a lot more hash browns than my mum who had the regular ones, and I couldn't manage all of them (I like hash browns, seaweed and kimchi, but wasn't really a fan of the sour and salty combination of the 3 tbh. ) The donuts are really nice here though, and if you want a cinnamon roll, you need to queue for the counter asap, because there was only one left by the time we got to the counter, and that was around 12:30pm.

Food was absolutely perfect! Service was a let down as we had our food practically thrown at us by a rather immature waitress. Apart from this, everything was 10/10!

I will always rave about crwst, it's perfect - I go every time I go to see my parents and I have never had a bad meal/experience. If you try one thing try the hashbrowns when you eat!!! (and the doughnuts for afterwards!!) Lots of catering for vegan options on the drinks board which is great as well - including entirely vegan hot chocolate (milk & powder) which can be hard to find. The staff are always so friendly and helpful, when going on weekends/holidays I would definitely advise booking to avoid disappointment. There is also an incredible ethos because of their focus on local welsh food & producers, and they have a great selection of goodies to buy in store from west wales producers as well

The fact that anyone that’s visited here has not left a 5 star review is absurd. If you’re a foodie then this is a must visit for you if you’re in Cardigan. The food is made with passion and love and the service reflects that. You can tell that everything that goes on the plate has had attention and care put into it and that’s what it’s all about. We’ve made a point of coming back every time we’ve visited west wales. Well worth a special journey. Thank you 👌

Delicious food, friendly and informative service and great atmosphere! Service was super quick, something was missing from my meal but it was rectified straight away without issue. Will 100% be back.. even just for the hash browns!

stopped here for a quick coffee, macchiato. Excellent coffee and quick service. The place was full which speaks volumes. other coffee shops were empty in comparison. would definitely return for their food. Friendly staff

Well I have had the most amazing brunch today EVER ……French toast with cinnamon butter, squash ice cream, bacon and maple syrup with a side order of their amazing hash browns. 😍😍😍 The place was buzzing with people having the most amazing looking food. Well worth the hour journey 👍

Recommended to visit by a family member, definitely not disappointed! The menu has a whole host of breakfast and brunch options, as well as a wealth of sides. Unfortunately we were only able to stay for coffee and pastries but they were fantastic. There is a selection of local and in-house produced foody gifts such as coffee and honey so plenty to choose from!

Would Definitely recommend it as a bakery, perhaps not so much as a place to grab a meal. We got two meals for brunch, which came to about £30, much more expensive than the other cafes around. The portions of the breakfast was tiny. One sausage, two slices of bacon. A bit too little. However, baked goods wise it was delicious, the best vanilla doughnut I've ever had! Would go again for baked goods, definitely not for a meal.

Very rude customer service from a young girl who wanted me to know that she didn’t want to be there. Yawned in my face and rolled her eyes. Her colleague actually looked embarrassed when she asked her when they closed, which is an odd question seeing as she worked there too?! Customer service industry is obviously not for her.

The food here is super and it is dog friendly so you can combine a great breakfast with walking the dogs at nearby Poppit. I also buy excellent sourdough bread here. However, the ordering really needs sorting out. Please provide separate and clearly signposted tills for takeaway and the cafe. I waited almost 15 minutes to buy bread this morning while numerous people in the same queue placed large breakfast orders. It really isn't a customer friendly way to order. Three members of staff were positioned in the cafe area (often waiting for something to do) perhaps they could take table orders.

It wasn't busy that morning do it's easy and quick service. Enjoyed it.

Breakfast overpriced and poor quality. Charged £3.50 for a small piece of black pudding. Beans were dry and crusty. Staff were very nice and the venue is nice. Shame the food spolit it. Will never go.there again.

Visited Sunday lunchtime. The place was buzzing and had a great vibe and good food. Although we hadn't booked and the place was very busy, we were seated and served quickly. Would recommend.

Stumbled upon Crwst whilst on a bumble to get some groceries and really pleased we did, absolutely gorgeous food, fabulous staff and great value. Would highly recommend a visit to Crwst when visiting Aberteifi.

Great place for a quick bite while strolling in Cardigan. Food is tasty, the stuff is friendly, the service is quick and the atmosphere is good. Only issue, is that you cannot place your order with the waiter, but have to either do it online or go the cashier.

Being a local in the area gave local business our support only to find myself Being ripped off with extortionate prices aimed probably at tourism I mean £28.00 for a breakfast a chicken and bacon roll And 2 coffees It the breakfast was special then I wouldn't have minded the price but it was the worst breakfast I've had for a long time. My disappointment was voiced to our waiter who you would have thought would have told his manager but no one came to see us so we left never to return so my advice is if you have worked hard for your money then don't go to Crwst

Wow 🤩 thank you to the lovely efficient staff for fitting us in on a busy saturday morning. we all ordered different things for brunch and everything was delicious. especially loved the seaweed hash browns & turkish eggs! the pastries and the deli goods were also amazing, highly recommend

Ate at Crwst last week on holiday. Asked about gluten free options and the staff were clued in to cross contamination. I had a bacon roll on a gf bap with fries and an organic cola. The bap was the best gf bread I’ve ever had, the bacon was delicious and the fries are possibly the best I’ve ever had. My partner was also very happy with his burger. Nice atmosphere and dog friendly. Recommended.

Very expensive...3.50 for a slice of black pudding!! ! £28. 2 coffees. I breakfast and a roll and crisps!!!! Definitely not going again!!

1st visit to this restaurant 1st impression very friendly waiting staff very pleasant then it goes downhill Orders were 2 coffees 1 chicken and bacon roll And one full breakfast £28.00wow ok wait till it arrives it will probably be very good for that price then another wow out comes the breakfast what a disappointment half a tomato 2 small shrivelled up bacon ( bare in mind they charge £2 a slice if you ask for extra 1 sausage some mushrooms and A egg and 2 halfs of toast oh I also had black pudding at £ 3.50 EXtra And beans, they looked like they had been left out in the sun for a week For the price it is the most disgusting breakfast I have ever had for the price we are local people not tourist when asked by a member of staff if everything was OK I voiced my opinion as to the cost for the quantity and he just left with no explanation So at this point, you would think a senior member of staff would have paid a visit to our table not a chance Well needles to say I ate all of my minute breakfast which probably cost more than a staff hourly rate much to my disappointment to the extortionate price So to round up this experience I will never set foot in that place again and I will not ever going to recommend it to any of my friends So sad to see local business rip off local support thumbs down for me I'm afraid

Really good food here. We went here for brunch, had the full brekkie. Amazing quality food and good service. Ordered the side of hash browns, the BEST item on the menu, the most crispiest and tasteful hashbrowns I've ever had. They've also got an amazing takeaway section for treats including a massive cinnamon bun and small filled doughnuts. Would definitely go back and enjoy more

Thank you Hedydd for the most fabulous Lemon Meringue Celebration cake! It made the best showstopper for our 74th Wedding Anniversary celebrations! The cake was well packed and the topping well protected, and following your instructions of taking it out of the fridge for 30 mins before serving was perfect. The sponge was firm but moist and the cake had just the right level of lemon tartness to it. Fabulous, would highly recommend and hope very much to sample the Eton Mess next year!

Wow - come when you’re hungry as they don’t skimp on portion sizes!! Brunch here was amazing. The eggs royale were exceptional and the hashbrowns are something else!! Best I’ve ever had. Husband had the full breakfast which looked amazing too. Excellent coffee, amazing food and brilliant service - what more could you ask for? Oh! And dog friendly too - bonus!

What a lovely place this is. We only popped in for a cuppa, and after seeing the food going out to the customers, we had to try. The Egg Royale was delicious 😋 The smoked salmon was amazing and so fresh, all washed down with their own coffee ☕️ they also sell cakes, that looked amazing. Beautiful place, well recommended 👌

Very average. Over hyped to us so was expecting something good. Very expensive, bit dirty (especially the massive windows all along the shop front), minimal, un-attentive service, everything is charged as an extra on the menu (even cream for your coffee), and it was 20° outside and they had the fire on; too warm. We were told you had to book, as so popular, we did so a few days ahead and arrived to a near empty gaff that never exceeded 1/3 full while we were there. Vacated tables left uncleared for 30 mins and after being seated, wasn't spoken to beyond average food being delivered. E.g. I had "full" breakfast at over £13 and had to buy a 2nd egg. Shambles. The beans came in a thimble (2 mouth fulls) and the sausage was poor, even tho t was big and looked like a proper butchers sausage. Eggs snotty and small and coffee unremarkable. Over rated and over priced. Don't bother.

Beautiful place to go for coffee/tea or food. Usually come on a Sunday but came in the week and was really lovely. Enjoyed the cinnamon bun! Friendly, smiley staff and helpful to us. An overall relaxing, chilled atmosphere. Enjoy coming here.

I used to think Faun in Malvern was the best until I came here. Exceptional food and service, 5 star plus!!

The food was delicious!!! You couldn't ask for a better breakfast/brunch. Everything was fresh, chosen from a well laid out menu which offered a good choice for everyone. The service was good but I didn't like having to queue at the till to make payment and would've preferred it taken at the table. But that shouldn't put anyone off, it was a lovely visit!

We (4 of us) arrived at the door for 1:30 and we’re told unfortunately there we no tables available right there and then but could book for 2pm which was fantastic news, only a half hour wait. We returned on time at 2pm to be greeted by the very same person (American lady) that had organised the booking for us. She was oblivious to ever seeing us before, I reminded her that we were booked for 2pm at which point she took us to a table for two and threw the menus on the table. I told her the table wasn’t appropriate and that we’d booked the table for 4 people. She flew off the handle, berated me about the fact she’s sees 50 different people in an hour and how was she to know! Anyway we resolved the issue by sitting at a table that was free when we’d first visited at 1:30. Nobody takes your order, you have to do it through a QR code like we used to back in the COVID days, come on really….. this is now just lazy. My food was amazing and my wife’s still going on about how great the yoghurt was, one of our party had avocado on toast. The toast was made from sourdough and unfortunately too tough to cut up or even eat. Moral of the story, visit here if you wish to be verbally abused by a middle aged, American and break your teeth on the toast.

Good location with a wide range of food and drinks on offer. We visited on a busy bank holiday weekend which probably explains that some of the food was cold. There was also nearly an hour's wait.

Asked for allergen list for a breakfast product to which they said their list hadn't been updated with the product. Chef came out to tell me the allergens.. which is ok but not good enough. Noisy atmosphere and cold metal seats. I have been here before but won't bother again.

Haven't visited for a long while so not sure if taken over by new team.Disappointed this visit,they forgot our order so waited a long while for Tiast and Granola.Coffee cold by this time.The lady at till was grumpy and everything seemed too much trouble.The granola was lovely but tinned strawberries not fresh ones and the portion definitely smaller than last time.

First class friendly service at the door, prompt to a table. The coffee was some of the best I've had in a long time (I'm a coffee snob and have just spent 3 weeks in the States) so I had 2 cups. the bacon roll was delicious and a round of toast and home made jam, outstanding!

This was my first experience at this restaurant. Sadly we couldn't get a table so definitely make a reservation for your visit. They do have a carry out line which moves quickly so was able to sit outside at one of the picnic tables. Now the donuts - wow - sugar covered filled with salted caramel - very good. Also took a chocolate chip cookies for later and that was tasty also. Next time I will make a reservation so I can try the menu

Lively atmosphere, great food, really worth a visit.

We popped in yesterday and we thoroughly enjoyed the bacon and fried egg butty. Plenty of bacon and the fried egg was perfect. The whole butty tasted scrumptious 😋 Thank Muna David and Locan x

Good food and coffee, but very noisy.

rude barista, poor service and very poor communication between workers. we paid for our drinks (2) which was then followed with a customer being served 4 coffees (we ordered ice lattes), after that several other customers were served who ordered after us. when i asked about the order, i was presented with appalling attitude from the young barista as if it was MY fault that she didn’t get my order. after we spoke about the situation, she served another two customers and once we had our order she slammed them down on the counter. if you can’t handle your job, don’t do it. and don’t make the customers feel like it’s their fault when it’s really the poor communication between workers’ fault.

We visited as a party of 3. Myself and 2 children. The ambience was lovely and the food delicious. But as a parent of a child with additional support needs I feel I’d be remiss not to mention the incredible service. The hostess was lovely and the counter staff were great. But the waitress who brought our meals took time to check in and chat to all of us including my non speaking son. It felt like a proper welcome :) It made his day and mine. It’s a place I’d definitely recommend!

We stumbled upon this wonderful restaurant 10am on a Tuesday and we were lucky enough to get a table. Service was exemplary and the food was excellent. Very helpful and happy staff and they welcomed our two small dogs. We would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Cardigan.

First the negatives - we waited over 45 minutes between ordering and getting our food on a Sunday afternoon, and although the front of house manager was super welcoming and efficient, her team of young, inexperienced and uncommunicative staff really let the side down. BUT - all of that became insignificant when the food turned up because it was absolutely delicious. Packed with flavour, well presented and perfectly cooked. The seaweed hash browns are AMAZING. Would be great for the young staff to up their skills a bit. One just handed me my food for me to take from him directly rather than just setting it on the table and I had to chase part of missing order too after only 2 out of 4 items arrived at the table.

Excellent food, and the staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. They were disappointed when we complained about the draughts when seated by the door, and immediately moved us with as little fuss as possible to a more sheltered table, even though they were crowded. They made sure we were comfortable. It can be noisy, though.

We had a delicious vegan brunch here on our way up the coast. Make sure you get hash browns on the side, they were a revelation! Nice vibe, great for dog spotting

Always a staple whenever we visit Cardigan. The food here is out of this world. They use only fresh produce and it really does make a difference. You can see each time we go that the customer is always their biggest priority as they always make changes to make the customer feel right at home. Always a great atmosphere and the most attentive and friendly staff. 10/10 diolch! :)

Long time lovers of this spot but on our latest visit this week we were blown away by the quality and flavours of our breakfasts, absolutely phenomenal and we cannot wait for next time. Amazing work by the whole team! Only constructive criticism would be more relaxed music and a lower volume, but lovely interior aside from that 😀

Great coffee, very friendly staff and quite possibly one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The Turkish Eggs were simply killer.

We had Turkish eggs and the beans on toast. Absolutely delicious. We bought the dark chocolate granola to bring home. It is quite pricey, but so lovely! I wish we lived local, we’d be in there all the time! They were turning people away for tables, it was busy, so book ahead if you can. The queues past the table were a bit annoying but the food was worth it.

I doubt this place needs more rave reviews - the wait list was long! But the staff were so chatty and kind. The food was clearly home made and well sourced. We loved it!

Atmosphere and deco in Crwst was excellent. Very relaxed and welcomed us with two young children and food came within 10-15 minutes of ordering and was fresh. I had the berries and pancake, my partner tried the Avocado on toast and we got some pancakes and toast for the kids which everyone happily ate. Portion sizes were excellent. Compared to London prices were a bit on the high side. Staff are very helpful and they have highchairs on request for young children.

Very pricey considering it's location, I'd say more expensive than London. Other than that, very nice service and food. Wide range of options. Always good quality. Good option for a treat.

Went here for lunch. Set in a converted garage/warehouse type building with tall ceilings and exposed steel roof struts. Feels quite funky on arrival. Service was excellent. I had a vegan breakfast and coffee. Very well made, very tasty. Some nice touches, such as a seaweed hash brown. Was quite busy when we arrived, which gave it a nice buzz.

Great coffi great donuts and pastel do nata. Didn't have the savoury, but they looked good too. Nice vibe.

Big place. Kids recommended it to us.

"Early menus" from 8:30, the large breakfast menus are available from 10:00, incredibly good place. Good vegi food available. Food is of high quality. The falafel roll was very nutritious. The toast with chocolate & hazelnut was excellent :-)
