5 star Review ⭐️ I have to say, I’m only writing this because I can’t quite believe how friendly professional and kind the lady’s of Linton Kitchen ALL are, it’s a pleasure to go in, and then to top it off the coffee food and homemade delicious cakes make it the place to go any day of the week. I have to give special thanks to Alex, whom has never had anything other than the brightest smile on her face and my son now loves going in to get special attention from Alex. Linton kitchen staff, you’ve made moving here an easier experience for me and a warm welcoming home from home hub to go too.

The cakes are delicious and generously large. Unfortunately one cannot get a pot of tea, just a large cup with a teabag in it - more 'transport cafe' than teashop. The wooden chairs need cushions: they are uncomfortable to sit in for ages, while the rather slow service gets around to bringing the tea and cake.

Been calling in most mornings and now made it our mission to divert here whilst on our way to Newmarket. The food & coffee has been brilliant every time. Great to see there’s always a steady flow of business as Linton seems fairly quiet and a little ticked away. Will be a shame when our job finishes :)

We popped into this little high street café as part of a walk round the village. Welcomed by enthusiastic and friendly staff, we were stopped in our tracks by the fresh and sumptuous array of cakes, buns and savories in front of us!! Never mind what coffee we were about to order......................what delicacy should we chose????? I have to say it was difficult. The choice was sophisticated, varied and very different fayre to a Costa ( no offence Costa). A little more expensive than a costa/Cafe Nero etc, but worth very penny. The size of the slice of cake I had was generous ( not penny pinching) and the piece of cake my partner had was the same. Coffee excellent, so was the service. A real gem.

We must have been unlucky considering all the good reviews, but my polenta cake was so dry it crumbled on the plate with no flavour at all, my husband’s Blondie was so sweet it could’ve stripped the enamel off of your teeth! Not nice at all. Cakes not being displayed hygienically, all within touching distance without a glass shield. On the plus side a nice coffee. Our first visit, but we won’t be back.

I have been here a couple of times now but it’s not for me. I found the staff to be very dismissive and nonchalant. Cakes on display for everyone to touch and breathe all over. Cakes look lovely but dry and bland to be honest. Think the staff could do with some training in people skills.

Have used Linton Kitchen often to buy the odd treat with no issues. I went today however and the sandwiches were a disgrace. A 5 year old could have done a better job. For £7.50 a pop you expect it to be a reasonable sandwich not a store bought filling thinly spread on store bought white bread. Very very disappointed. If you're going to charge very expensive rate make it better than what i can buy at Co-op. Put me off visiting again as I felt like i was ripped off.

I ordered a celebration cake for my husbands 60th birthday. Not only did it look absolutely fantastic, it tasted delicious too. Having had my own cake business in the past, I was unable to make the cake myself this time for various reasons. And I have to say I was so impressed and would highly recommend their celebration cakes to anyone. I ordered a Victoria sponge covered with buttercream and a fresh fruit ring around the edge. As far as I’m concerned it was absolutely perfect 👌🏻

We arrived slightly after the main lunch period. It took us three gos from the daily board to get a sandwich that they said they could make for us - and then only with certain key ingredients missing. When the none-too-cheap sandwiches arrived - they were v disappointing - no butter, no moistening element (mayo/cucumber etc) - just cheese (good) and a bit of lettuce - furthermore the bread was like the slices that from a loaf that you would save for the bread and butter pudding - or for the ducks - the dry ends not perfectly formed. It was better value than the bakery down the road - but nonetheless - we were expecting more.

The Linton Kitchen is a small, beautifully furnished cafe on the Linton High Street. The staff are very helpful and very friendly. And all the food is delicious! I would definitely recommend their scotch eggs and brownies, but all their cakes are lovely. The drinks, including coffee, tea and milkshakes are very tasty too. We had their special breakfast and added some avocado. We ended up going their two mornings on the trott. The coffee is good and if they have sourdough have it - it is the best I have ever tasted! BUT they dont always have it. I must admit Sat breakfast was that little bit better then Sundays - the toms were cooked with just a little extra flavour and a dash of basamic on the rocket really made it (plus the sourdough - Sunday they were out and the brown bread although nice took away from it a bit) but I would definitely go back when i am in the area. Very nice friendly staff too.
