Lovely hot, very well cooked breakfast at very reasonable price. Will be going again.

Came here for dinner. Warm welcome at the bar, had a drink before being taken to our table. Great menu but also a specials board to choose from. I had the scallops to start which were delicious. I then had the "Cod Special ". It came with mash ( so creamy) and a side plate filled with vegetables. It was perfectly cooked and plenty of it. There was a lovely atmosphere, really friendly staff and nice and busy. We finished off our evening with drinks NY the bar in the cosy bar. A fantastic night, we will be back.

I have been to Hyssop while it was on High Street West, and then under its new name and premises, Hyssop and the Hare on High Street East. We had the chef's choice menu on an early Friday evening. The food is outrageously well priced given the quality. The pork belly and cabbage in particular was some of the best food I've ever tasted. One of my party commented that it was better than the pork belly at the Hand and Flowers. I can well believe it. The focaccia was unparalleled. Dessert was a pleasingly large slab of deliciously balanced sticky toffee pudding. I prefer the cosy environment and atmosphere that is the new venue, to feel so relaxed while enjoying such high quality food makes for a wonderful experience. The vibes are immaculate. The house red is excellent and we enjoyed a round of superb martinis. The service is warm and friendly, Mia is a delight and really enhances your experience. The waiting staff were knowledgeable about the food and could readily answer questions about the dishes. There is a £20 pp deposit, which is unavoidable and understandable these days, as is the apparently strict enforcement. I am so glad that after the devastating fire Glossop gets to continue to enjoy such an extraordinary offering. I look forward to trying the Cosy Thursdays menu.

The business is under new ownership and now just sells ice cream, rock, sweets and other novelties. We ordered ice cream and it was grainy so the children threw it away. Really disappointing.

¡Me encanta este lugar! Mi hijo menor y yo llegamos para un regalo del Día de la Madre, solo para descubrir y desconocido para mí, amigos cercanos también habían reservado y estaban sentados. El restaurante estaba muy ocupado, pero Barry muy amablemente creó espacio extra para que pudiéramos sentarnos todos juntos. . . Y entonces mi hijo mayor llegó inesperadamente y sin ningún alboroto, fue acomodado también... La noche solo mejoró una vez que llegaron los deliciosos 'Cócteles de Ron Blanco', luego nuestras comidas. El chef se superó a sí mismo con todos los (3) platos. Los otros miembros del personal eran increíbles también. ¡Volveré a por esa sabrosa salsa de escocés! Gracias de nuevo. Jo - : )

Delicious Fish&Chips cooked perfect and there was very busy as it was Good Friday and the service was good even though they was queue right outside into the street

A return visit with my friend to indulge in their delights. We have our all time favourites such as ham hock soup full of flavour and loaded with ham bursting with flavour I also have a lockerbie cheese and onion toastie, my friend has a BLT. We generally finish off with a piece of home baking and a coffee from their machine as fresh as if it was straight from italy.. We would not hesitate to recommend this eaterie to anyone and will definetely keep coming back.

Tried to book for Sunday lunch on Saturday, too late fully booked, be warned book well in advance. This did not put us off we returned twice more for lunch, once booked and another a drop in. We were not disappointed food was excellent and plentifull. Neil, even though busy, found time to chat to customers making everyone most welcome. Don't miss out on this little gem when visiting Eardisland.

This was a last minute booking because we were running late. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and the food was fresh and piping hot we had chille and it had a lovely heat just after eating it nothing to strong. We had apple crumble for dessert this was made fresh as the dishes were super hot but also amazing tasting will be beck next time am up this way.

I enjoyed a lovely tasty lunch with my cousin. The menu online had drawn me, and the menu on offer was even better. My cousin loved her fish pie, and my pork belly with a chilli and honey glaze was scrumptious. The lady who attended to us - the proprietor, I presume - was charming and friendly. I expect to be eating here again in the not too distant.

Cafe has to be clean and hygienic for me to enjoy a meal out. This was such a place. I felt comfortable sitting in this cafe on my own (not always the case) and I thought the food was excellent at good prices.

The three course meal we had was well executed modern cookery. The service was friendly and professional, and the restaurant atmosphere was easy going. We really enjoyed our evening meal.

A tad expensive for my liking. A kids sandwich is one slice of bread & one rasher of bacon for nearly £5. Not that I'm being cheap but one slice of bread.
