Amazing fresh fish and chips that all the family love and have other things on the menu that the kids and I love. Staff are lovely and welcoming, will never go anywhere else for fish and chips I recommend Frydays to everyone!

I visited this place with my family. I can say it is the best fish and chips we have ever had.. So crispy and tasty. Curry sauce is amazing! I don't live here but I will certainly come back.

I wouldn’t ordinarily leave a review for a takeaway but was in the village with my family over lunch time. Nice weather so bought fish n chips to take out and eat in a neighbouring garden. We all agreed it was the best we’ve had in years. Not greasy, not overdone, light batter and good service too. When something stands out, it’s only fair to share the credit.

Absolutely the best chips battered sausage and curry sauce I ever had! The chips are delicious and none greasy. The curry sauce sweet and slightly spicy. Wonderful customer service as well.

First of all the welcome we received was 10 out of 10 and the Fish&Chips was delicious and I asked for no batter on my fish and it wasn’t a problem we will definitely be going back we have never come across such friendly staff thank you

Had fish and chips from here and think it’s just about the best chippy tea I’ve had. Ordered a medium sized fish which is still a good generous size.

I will start by saying that I'm very particular about fish and chips and I've been known walk out of a chippy after just one step inside. I am a resident of Cottingham and have always seen Frydays as a three out of five BUT something has changed recently and it's not me, yesterday my nose dragged my inside and made me buy chips, they were top notch so this evening I went back and bought fish and chips to make sure it wasn't a fluke, it wasn't. The food I am now sated with was delicious and easily merits five stars

We got told to try here by friends and was not disappointed! I don’t usually eat fish from chip shops but I decided to give it a go and it was so tasty cooked perfectly! Good variety for the kids too at good prices we will defo recommend and only be returning back here ! X

We joked about leaving a review because we ended up here after a search for gluten free after watching a film in Beverley. Coming from Scarborough we are pretty picky about fish & chips but to be honest, this was really good, fully deserving of 5/5

After much thinking I have decided that I will have fish and chips.Going through my memories one place which never dissatisfied me . Fridays Cotingham. I have 2 large lightly buttered haddocks. Golden crispy was die for. The fish was so large and nice made my day.please keep the nice work. And see you soon. I don’t want to disappoint ted Somewhere else.

Fabulous fish and chips, freshly cooked to order. Really helpful and friendly people. Along with bread, fish and chips is the meal I miss most since being diagnosed as celiac. Fridays have solved the fish and chips requirement, I just need to find some decent bread now.

Some of the best fish and chips we have ever had. We travel from Sutton for these as they are so nice. Portion sizes are just right and the prices are very reasonable. Staff are very friendly too.

Firstly, they don’t take card even In the current climate when people are trying not to use cash. That was the first red flag. Customers all wearing masks... Staff not.Chips were greasy and hard, fritter was inedible and once we got home we realised that some of our order was missing!All for the low low price of £17 (for 2 adults and 2 kids). Not worth the silly price. Won’t be back.

3 x Haddock and chips, sausage, fish cake, pattie, peas and sauce and it comes to £27.20 Wow we normally pay less than £13 for a family meal at papas for much more and much fresher what happened here is it all about taking advantage of people during the current health crisis, very disappointing!

I love fish and chips . But I have started getting gluten intolerance. Luckily they started gluten free butter which I love and rest of family get normal frying. Thanks again for lovely foods.

After a day out we all fancied fish and chips and decided to give Frydays a go. Perfectly cooked fish and my dad even commented its the best fried fish hes had in a long time. My son was paying a visit up from London so he was just thankful for Haddock and he said he really enjoyed his. My mum and myself went for fishcakes and they were really tasty. Good prices, good choice and I can honestly say a lot tastier than a well known fish and chip place not too far away.Well done Frydays, keep it up and we will be returning.

Visited Cottingham today decided to have a treat for lunch. Fish, Pattie, chips and mushy peas from Frydays in Cottingham East Yorkshire. Sat in the Memorial Gardens to eat the food. Fish cooked fresh batter delicious overall an excellent lunch.

As always the best fish and chips in the Cottingham area. Always very crispy and gorgeous chips and of course mushy peas.

My fish & chips lunch from Frydays was superb, with the best fried fish I have tasted for a long time and a portion size that was more than adequate. Everything was freshly cooked and hot. I would certainly highly recommend this Cottingham chippy.

Another favourite for me in Cottingham. As a resident of Cott, this has to be one of the best chippies this village has to offer.

Went in on Saturday night to sit in and eat. Ordered large fish and chips and it did not disappoint. Fish was cooked perfectly, batter was on point and chips where great. Overall service was outstanding.

Never been in this chippy and there’s not been a queue which in itself speaks volumes. Totally white fish which was skinned (thank you very much!) to order without problem. Always spotlessly clean with fantastic food and lovely friendly staff. Thanks guys 😊

Just strolled in today, I not really a fish shop person but hunger was in control. I had a medium fish with peas n pattie and a heart warming exchange with the friendly staff. I may turn out to be a fish shop person after all. The fish, perfect and bigger than expected and pnp lovely. Actually, I’ve saved a bit for tea. Thank you Fryday’s I’ll come again. John

My wife very happy that it is Vegetarian friendly - we sat in and for a change had Pattie and chips with gravy- very short wait and very friendly and chatty staff . Food superb - great fish and chip shop,will be back again soon .

Called in on spec,and so glad we did.cooked from order so fresh. The best batter thin, crispy,and delicious.the fish inside was superb quality.all served by happy people.would recommend without hesitation,by far the best fish and chip restaurant in the area.

We are on holiday and after reading reviews about this fish and chip shop decided to drive the 10 minutes to try them. We ordered cod and chips twice which was made to order but no longer than 5 minutes wait. The cod was large and very tasty, chips very good too. Defo worth a visit. We were given a patty to try free of charge and this was nice also. Very friendly staff and overall an excellent place to eat. Thanks.

I have never tried fish fritter before going to this place it is fish between 2 layers of potato in batter.... and WOW so tastey recommend peas with it!!! So nice Thank you Frydays. This is my new favouriye treat.

I absolutely loved the Fish and Chips from this place, the fish was fresh, it's very hard to find a chippy where this is the case. The food was great and I will definately be going back!

I decided to have some good old fish and chips for lunch and had heard about this chippy so thought i would give it a go. The fish was really tasty and perfectly cooked and was accompanied by some nice chippy chips and lovely mushy peas. My perfect lunch, thanks!

As an American who didn’t even like fish before going to the UK, I can honestly say that Frydays was the best part of my stay in England. I tried many different fish places in England, and nothing compares to this one. The fish is always fresh and cooked to perfection. On top of that, the customer service is top notch. The staff is so friendly, and makes you feel welcomed every single time. I will definitely miss Frydays in Cottingham the most out of everything in England. I would go back to Cottingham just to get fish from here.

Me and my family had takeaway chips, battered sausage, scraps and three lots of fish. Everybody enjoy there food and we all will come back again. Would recommend anybody to try this place. Did have a 15 minute wait for our food, but to be fair there was only one guy working there.

Got four portions of Haddock & Chips around 5pm today to take home for tea. Got two medium & two large....Didn't have plates big enough to accommodate the large Haddocks although the medium ones were a very tight fit...Fish was cooked well and did not suffer from uncooked soggy batter like most do...The chips were just as I like them cooked to a nice light brown colour and not soggy, bendy and stuck together.. Also got a couple of patties and I couldn't fault them either...Best fish & chips that I have had in a very long time.

I have been getting Fish & Chips from here for many years and love it. Great being able to eat in too especially at Christmas when Cottingham is lit up. The kids absolutely adore the Fish Fritters and cooked in vegetable oil too so even my vegetarian partner can enjoy a Pattie and Chips.

Very good fish chips and peas cooked to order. Sat at the small but adequate tables. There were five of us and we all enjoyed what we had. Could be difficult to find a parking place.

After seeing a post on a FB group about how helpful the place was, I thought I'd give it a go myself.

The fish was absolutely delicious- the batter was beautiful. Took a while for the cod to be cooked, but I understood why once I got it home to eat it- definitely worth the little wait.

Lavabos para el vinagre. La carne añadiendo más al sabor. . Sin duda, mejor. pescado y patatas fritas en la tienda Cottingham.

Frydays - Anlaby or Cottingham - consistently serve excellent fish and chips. Portions are good, the batter on the fish is crisp and the fish is succulent. Chips are superb. Everything is cooked superbly. Queuing is very much worth the wait - you will not be disappointed.

Another long established business in Cottingham, serves both take away and seating facilities, good quality fish served with other traditional foods in a Fish & Chip establishment open 7 days a week lunch and evening serves.

I don't use Frydays on a weekly basis but, when I can't find anything in the freezer, or can't be bothered to cook I know I can pop into Frydays and be guaranteed an excellent meal.

Frydays is situated in main road of cottingham and serves excellent fish and chips !!! Lovely crispy batter with fish not overcooked. Chips also cooked to perfection and served fresh and hot. Reasonabke prices. Best place locally for fish and chips ! Happy friendly staff.

Always believing Hull and environs to be the best place in UK for Fish and Chips, having one of the best on my doorstep is fantastic. Excellent food ,service and value. Love it
