Couldn’t of picked a more perfect place for something to eat… Trip advisor said #1 in Hornsea, in my eyes it would be #1 on the whole of the east coast after our experience tonight… Massive portions, great tasting food, bent over backwards for our family, will 100% be coming back…

Staff absolutely brilliant great vibes!!

Went here on stake night and glad we did, my wife had fillet and I had serlion, home made chunky chips onion rings mushroom and tomatoes , we both agreed it was one of the tastiest stake we'd had definitely going to pop back in the summer when we back in hornsea

Lovely village pub, with super friendly kind staff. Food tastes good and the portions are filling. Timothy Taylor Landlord on draught is kept very well indeed. Super pub, fab food.... we keep going back so says it all !

Our second visit in 2 weeks. It was very busy and staff apologised for the delay on our table and the long wait time for food . This was no problem...Nice to be kept informed. Food was excellent again. We will be back soon .

Sunday lunch. Generous portions, really great Yorkshire puddings, loads of vegetables and roast and mashed potatoes. 2 of us managed puddings which again were very good. Enjoyed my pint of Timothy Taylor beer, my brother had the Tetley's which equally good. Just under £100 for the 4 of us.

The best pub grub me and my partner have had in a long time! The girls working were all lovely too. Its a shame we aren't local as we'd definitely come back.

On arriving we was welcomed by very friendly staff, then was shown to our table which I had. booked a few days before. We ordered our food and drinks which was brought to our table. I ordered pork, my husband beef. On our plate was the meat, red cabbage, parsnip, carrot and turnip mash, Yorkshire pudding and the best stuffing I have ever tasted. In a separate dish was broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, (or order separate cauliflower cheese). The food was excellent, well worth the wait and the money. It's advisable to book.

Found this wonderful pub online. Booked a table for tonight, and we were greeted like old friends by a gentleman. We were shown to our table and a fabulous lady member of staff gave us the menus and bless her put the radiator on for me as I am always cold. We both ordered from the pie menu. I had minted lamb, husband had venison and cranberry. It was explained there would be a 25 min wait as pies were cooked to order. It didn't matter, great atmosphere, brill background music and pies worth waiting for. Absolutely delicious, very hot, tasty, great vegetables and homemade chips to die for. Served with your own little jug of gravy. We both throughly enjoyed our meals. The staff were attentive, served drinks to our table and a real asset to The Falcon. As we are greedy we forced a pudding each...not needed but couldn't resist. Home made bread& butter pudding with hot custard and a slice of cheesecake for ne. It was a lovely evening , delicious food, fabulous staff and excellent value for money. We will be bringing friends with us for our next visit. Thank you

We’re currently staying in Mappleton (Southfield caravan and camping park) for the week and decided to find somewhere for food on this Friday evening. The Falcon Inn is a Lovely Friendly village pub/restaurant with very polite staff and beautiful starters (prawn Cocktail and also Halloumi fries) followed by a beautiful Main course of (minted lamb pie and chicken,ham & leak pie) both mains was served with The best hand cooked chips I’ve ever tasted. Only cost us £62 with 2 Gin/lemonades and a Coke Zero. If I am touring up near this Inn again I Will Definitely be returning 100%

Terrible,, waited nearly 30 mins at table ,, just ignored,, went to bar, staff walked away.. then served next person through door, no hello, no "can I help you'. Appalling. Went elsewhere.

This has to be one of my favourite restaurants for quality, choice, service and value.

Lovely and welcoming village pub. We went for Sunday lunch and had a roast beef dinner and a steak pie. Both meals were delicious, well cooked and served with a smile. I wish we lived nearer so we could come here every week for a meal, it was that good!

Went to the Falcon today for Sunday lunch. What a great experience. I substituted the meat for a fantastic venison pie and it was one of the best Sunday meals I have had in many a year. It is easy to tell that the chef is a game and pie specialist.

Been a few times now and everytime the food and service has been flawless. Proper home made food with great portions.

Hands down the best roast dinner we've had in forever! Lovely place with warm staff and great atmosphere. Really clean and food was DELICIOUS, I can honestly not praise the roast beef enough. Any dish could be made gluten free and they have an excellent children's menu. It just ticks all the boxes!

The Falcon is a hidden gem of a place, just a short drive from Rise Hall (in the interest of location), with a vast selection of hearty, real home made pub grub options to choose from with a super cosy atmosphere and an open roaring fire. A proper pub! The Sunday roasts are incredible - bursting with tasty flavours, a roast you will not find anywhere any better than here, for sure! Pie night and steak night are equally as divine. Mouthwatering selection of desserts - I was so full I couldn’t fit any thing else in, so I stole a little of my very kind, but equally reluctant husbands chocolate are brownie and ice-cream which was just utterly perfect! The quality of food is in my opinion Michelin Star, just on a larger scale! The staff are very welcoming and extremely attentive nothing is ever too much, and it shows! They bend over backwards to ensure your visit is enough to have you back time and time again. A great selection of ales and beers on draught, as well as bottled beverages and clearly carefully chosen fine wines. This place will absolutely not disappoint. I would recommend booking in advance as when we have just rocked up, it’s been very busy, yet have been accommodated non the less. Keep up the fantastic work Falcon! We will be back - no question ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I dont want to say how nice this place is in case you all go and I cant get in... it us our little gem... the food is fantastic quality and freshly cooked. The portions are HUGE. The staff are so welcolming and freindly and the price is great..you will love it

Lovely little village pub a few miles outside Hull. Warm & Cosy interior with a bar seating area at one end and more of a restaurant/dining area at the other. Timothy Taylors Dark & Landlord cask and Hopical Storm keg, along with Neckoil and the usual suspect lagers and ciders. The food is outstanding and huge portion sizes! Staff are lovely and friendly too, well worth a visit!

Without doubt the tastiest Sunday lunch I have had in a long time , everything cooked to perfection, staff were great and we were served freshly cooked food in a very reasonable time

We last ate in here pre Covid and it was good. We moved home so decided to go again. Saturday night and it was very quiet so we were a bit worried. We shouldn’t have been! The service was great 3 separate starters and 4 different mains all excellent! My partner praised the homemade Lasagna. The dessert list was very tempting but we were too full ! Maybe next time because we will definitely return

When we visit our Dad in Aldbrough, we visit the local village pubs. I'm certain that they've all kidnapped all of Yorkshire's Michelin star chefs because the food is top notch, the Falcon is no exception,big portions too!

The Falcon Inn is a friendly traditional village pub. There is a wide choice of beers and lagers including two hand pulled cask conditioned real ales. The pub is very popular for its excellent food including an enormous mixed grill. There is outside seating and a good sized car park. Highly recommended.

Went for Sunday Lunch and couldn’t fault anything about the food. We’ll definitely be going back. Just wish the chairs were a little more comfy.

We went here for a last minute lunch on Sunday and it seems we were very lucky to get a table because they were fully booked! The food was very good and filling. I had the cream of mushroom soup as a starter and let me tell you, it was... INCREDIBLE. So tasty, never thought I'd rave about a bloody bowl of soup, but here I am. And very generous for a starter too, I would've probably been ok with just the soup and a dessert. My partner had the chilli beef and really liked that as well. The portions of the mains were very generous also. I didn't like my salmon much, it was just a bit underwhelming after that glorious soup but I'll shut up about it now. Great service too, the ladies at the bar were very friendly and attentive.

Ordered the Sunday lunch and was pleasantly surprised by both the quality of the food presented and quantity. Bit of a trek but well worth it. Definitely coming back knocks spots off the competition👌👍👏

From the first sip of Timothy Taylor’s Landlord to the last mouthful of sticky toffee pudding. The welcome from the staff was warm (the beer wasn’t). The beer battered mushrooms were delicious, the steak perfectly cooked. I really didn’t need a steak knife, I could probably have cut it with a fork! All our meals were delicious and the staff made us feel like we’d been regulars for years. This was our first ever visit. Wish you were close enough for us to make that happen!

Wow!! I don’t often leave reviews but trust me when I say this is the best food you will ever eat in a pub restaurant, the staff are very friendly , the only disappointment is we didn’t come here sooner as we go home tomorrow, we would come back in the blink of an eye

This was a place we visited twice in a week. Fantastic food, Sunday roast was excellent and the steak night on Thursday incredible! We went with friends and they agreed it was the best food we’ve had for a long time, sadly we don’t live close enough to visit regularly. So a big thanks to staff and chefs for some beautifully cooked food, keep it up guys! 😊

I am the biggest judge of Sunday Lunch having grown up on Nannans, Mums and then my own (not to boast). It is my favourite meal and I usually struggle to give 5* across the board but this was... 👌 I will definitely be back. 😋

Best Sunday dinner ever Staff very accommodating

Very welcoming place. Staff were polite and attentive. We were a party of 7 and they coped very well. I ordered the Mixed Grill at 19.95 with no egg, no black pudding. There was so much I had to ask for a doggy bag!! And it was delicious 😋 Will definitely go back there again!

The food is good and plentiful, the service is excellent but there is no atmosphere. I visited for Sunday lunch in July expecting a busy pub with lots of people, both diners and drinkers. This was not what I experienced, but it is worth a visit.

Sunday dinner was absolutely lovely, shame that there was only beef left though.

We visited for lunch as a group of 19 . We had pre booked our meals and we were warned the normal chef was away ….you would never had known. The meal was gorgeous and huge portions. The place itself was lovely and the staff were amazing - thank you so much!

Booked last minute, they were super helpful at taking our booking, food was great value and big portions. Only marked atmosphere at 4 because pub was quiet. Definitely going again!!!

Booked a table for 6 on Saturday Spring Bank Holiday, upon arrival no table set for us. Furniture re-arranged and we had to clean the “crumbs “off the table and ask for cutlery. 6 starters and mains ordered-no problem. Waitress came back 10 minutes later-no steak pies left and offered ham hock pies as an alternative but only 3 available. 2 of us ordered the Falcon burgers-no burgers available. We amended our mains orders and I changed to a mixed grill and cancelled my starter. 15 minutes later-no mixed grills left, so ordered beer battered fish and re ordered my starter. Another 15 minutes passed by and my starter appeared but nobody else’s. Waitress then said she had lost everybody else’s starters and could we re-order. I finished mine and over an hour after we sat down the other starters arrived. Complained to the management and were offered apologies, a round of drinks and a bottle of wine between the 6 of us with our meals. Main courses arrived 30 minutes later. My fish was obviously from the freezer, breaded(not beer battered) with a dozen chips and crusty mushy peas. Asked for tartare sauce-none left. Handed the meal back and asked for it to be taken off the bill, which was met by a growl from the waitress. When the bill came(no deserts offered thank fully) and the plates were eventually cleared they had not charged for starters. Never been for a meal anywhere where 3 different main courses ordered and none eaten and free starters. Excuses given were that they were busy-but did they know think it might be on a Bank Holiday!!. If they had said from the start the problems they had then we would have gone for a curry instead!. Poor service overall and would not recommend to anybody-unless the staff had a bad day🥴 Maybe they should have spent a bit more time on the restaurant customers instead of the regulars who were all outside under a marquee appearing to celebrate somebody’s birthday. Nearly snatched a bit of the cake to stave off the hunger🥴

Not very good this time, salmon was done to death but the veg was almost raw however, the cheesecake was gorgeous. Good service, hasn't put me off will probably go again.

Had Sunday Lunch for six people. All thoroughly enjoyed our meals although portions are large, especially the chocolate brownie which would have been better at half the size.

Great pub, a work friend recommended this place and we had a very rare kid free night I was a little nervous straying from our usual places we eat but so glad we did such a friendly atmosphere and the food was amazing we went on pie night and was completely stuffed when we left, we will definitely be returning

Called in for Sunday Lunch on Easter Sunday, thought we might struggle to get a meal but staff were very accommodating. We both had the roast chicken which was lovely with lots of veg, parsnips, broccoli, carrots and cauliflower, mashed and roast potatoes. With Yorkshire pudding and plenty of gravy. Lovely food and lovely friendly staff too.

Got to say this was one of the best Sunday dinners I have had out before, big portions, extra gravy and a lovely cheesecake to finish. Highly recommended.

Went here based on other reviews I had read. WOW! The best meal I have ever had, and that's no exaggeration! I had the chicken, ham, and leek pie with chips, veggies, and mushy peas. My patner had steak pie with chips and onion rings. The food was fresh and delicious, and the portions were big, too. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely stunning food! First time we’ve visited Falcon Inn, but I think it’s now our go to pub for a Sunday Roast! Lovely little pub but with enough seating, all the girls working were very polite and helpful. Honestly can’t remember having a better Sunday Roast anywhere else! Lamb Shank was delicious and my little girl loved her food too! 10/10

Visit the Falcon. First visit to Falcon and very pleased with food and service. A friendly atmosphere and excellent choice of beers. All meals are proper tasty with specials served at reasonable prices.

Such a lovely, friendly pub and restaurant. The open fire is lovely and the food is fantastic. The lady who served us couldn’t do enough to make our meal perfect. We will definitely be visiting again, this time parking in the designated car park that we somehow didn’t notice on our visit!!! 🤣
