Tried to book for Sunday lunch on Saturday, too late fully booked, be warned book well in advance. This did not put us off we returned twice more for lunch, once booked and another a drop in. We were not disappointed food was excellent and plentifull. Neil, even though busy, found time to chat to customers making everyone most welcome. Don't miss out on this little gem when visiting Eardisland.

A charming tea room, which we found whilst visiting the lovely village of Eardisland. We had coffee and cakes, which were very nice and all homemade, in what had previously been the village post office. The tearoom is very quaint with low wooden beams in an 18th century building. Good friendly service from Nick, I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a nice village to visit and walk around.

been visiting Eardisland for a number of years but this was our first visit to Rita's Tearooms, just WOW 👌, we have missed out big time, I had the large all day breakfast and my wife had the brie & leek quiche with salad, I can honestly say my breakfast was the best I have had for a very long time, my wife's quiche tasted fantastic ( she did give me a taste. 😉) .All home cooked by Rita . very extensive menu but not expensive, lovely hosts, great surroundings, will definitely visit again. 👌

Lovely quaint tea room, run by a lovely couple. The breakfast was really good, hot, freshly cooked and served quickly. The atmosphere is really nice. We were sat by the woodburner and it was cosy. The amount of people coming into Rita’s proved to us that is a popular establishment. Another feature was the provision of ‘take away’ food, we ordered soup for later the same day, and took this with us when we left. We went back again for coffee, but unfortunately we were unable to take our dog into the tea room, but we were allowed to make use of the summerhouse in the beautiful garden, which I expect would be lovely in the warmer months. If we go to Erdisland again, we will certainly pay Rita’s a call.

What a treat to find such an excellent cafe in such a beautiful village. My friend and I visited twice this week for lunch and weren’t disappointed. Staff that really care about their customers and delicious fresh food. Visited as recommended by friends. Warmly welcomed to lovely tearoom. Plenty of choice and promptly served. Unfortunately that’s is where my good experience ended. As I found a dead wasp that had been cooked in my food. Although the waitress apologised, the owner and chef didn’t and no explanation or offer of discount was made. I am sorry but I found this to be rude and not good business. I don’t think we would go back which is a shame.

Visited first of all just for a cuppa and were warmly welcomed by both Rita and her assistant. We were well pleased and promised to return a little later in the day after a pleasant stroll around the village on return we were again warmly welcomed and my wife and I selected a small All day breakfast which was excellently provided and well served our smaller elderly needs. Will definitely visit again this lively cafe when next in the area.

I arranged a lunch here for my walking group of 40. The meals were excellent and served by friendly staff. It was a most enjoyable occasion.

Beautiful scenic spot, absolutely stunning. Dog friendly. Food was amazing and atmosphere good too. Boat was running as water was too high but didn’t matter to us!

Only went in for a Latte - great flavour/strength. I have to write 100 characters but only went in for a coffee!

Rude, extremely disappointing, shocking and disrespectful staff! We arrived after making a booking the day before. I booked 2 Adults, 1 child aged 2. The booking itself was pleasant. We got slightly lost, rang in and again very pleasant. Arrived 7 minutes late and walked into a very ‘local’ pub feel. All eyes on us. We were told by the bar person that they were glad we found them. A woman appeared and looked at my Grandson and commented ‘we don’t have highchairs’ I commented that I’d booked ahead with a child on the booking? She said she would go down in the cellar and dust something suitable to bring up then asked me if I had a chair in my car???!!!! We approached the bar and I said I was confused as I’d booked a child ahead of coming. I was ignored, I said once again and the younger woman behind the bar looked at me and in a slightly raised voice utttered ‘well, yes she’s gone to get you something hasn’t she!!’ Based on this experience I told my Friend we were leaving as being treated like this was way beyond acceptable. I wasn’t happy and I let it be known! My Friend and I were left shocked and felt we had been treated appallingly by 2 extremely rude women. Whilst we were putting my Grandson in the car the older women came out and further patronised us with her offering of a dusted off cellar chair and we told her that her colleague was vile and it had gone beyond the chair. She walked off. Having read through the reviews I can see hands have changed and so this may be why I didn’t receive the reputation I had heard of. I have the feeling they felt they were above us! I’m not easily impressed so their Morgan cars and gold large Baroque chairs only further deepens my suspicions that they think they’re better 🤣🤣

As we entered the lovely lady came to us with menus. Food was brought to us on hot plates and presented very nicely. We all enjoyed what we had. Thankyou will return.
