Ritas Tearooms in Herefordshire, County of

Tried to book for Sunday lunch on Saturday, too late fully booked, be warned book well in advance. This did not put us off we returned twice more for lunch, once booked and another a drop in. We were not disappointed food was excellent and plentifull. Neil, even though busy, found time to chat to customers making everyone most welcome. Don't miss out on this little gem when visiting Eardisland.

Called in to the cafe on Thursday as staying in the campsite down the road. Had a coffee and decided to book Sunday lunch as recommended by Neil the owner as he said it does get busy. Well turned up Suday had the beef dinner. The beef was lovley as was the vegetables. Lovley afters as well. Great service from the very friendly owners Rita and Neil. Make sure do book if like a table. As people were turned away for the Sunday lunch as fully booked. But other food was available if they haveca table. Five star service five star food .

Visited Rita's tea rooms again and it never disappoints. Excellent breakfasts, great quality and generous portions. Quirk of the day must be little scissors for dealing with sauce sachets. Absolute genius !!

The cutest little tea room with amazing garden with plenty of shade for the dogs (dogs aloud in the garden). Staff were friendly and sandwiches were to die for. Will return!

Rita's is one of our favourite Herefordshire tearooms with great food and a friendly welcome. It is our default meeting up place for rides as everyone is keen to go there and savour the quality food. All diets are well catered for and portions to match for diverse appetites. It is hard to find a better place.

Sunday lunch for family of four; 2 vegetarians. We couldn't have been more well looked after. Lovely table and setting. Delicious food; soup/roast/pudding. Very reasonably priced and friendly service throughout. Thank you.

A charming tea room, which we found whilst visiting the lovely village of Eardisland. We had coffee and cakes, which were very nice and all homemade, in what had previously been the village post office. The tearoom is very quaint with low wooden beams in an 18th century building. Good friendly service from Nick, I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a nice village to visit and walk around.

What a find! Excellent environment very clean & cosy, the hosts were very welcoming and attentive and the food was excellent. Highly recommend!!!

been visiting Eardisland for a number of years but this was our first visit to Rita's Tearooms, just WOW 👌, we have missed out big time, I had the large all day breakfast and my wife had the brie & leek quiche with salad, I can honestly say my breakfast was the best I have had for a very long time, my wife's quiche tasted fantastic ( she did give me a taste. 😉) .All home cooked by Rita . very extensive menu but not expensive, lovely hosts, great surroundings, will definitely visit again. 👌

Local pub did not do lunch time meals but suggested Rita,s thank you so much. A warm welcome from Nick , extensive menu all cooked in house by Rita herself in a very cosy, relaxed atmosphere. Excellent meal , and delicious desserts Last but not least there is a lunch time arrangement with the pub , buy your drinks then go to Rita,s for your meal Malc / Leamington Spa

Lovely quaint tea room, run by a lovely couple. The breakfast was really good, hot, freshly cooked and served quickly. The atmosphere is really nice. We were sat by the woodburner and it was cosy. The amount of people coming into Rita’s proved to us that is a popular establishment. Another feature was the provision of ‘take away’ food, we ordered soup for later the same day, and took this with us when we left. We went back again for coffee, but unfortunately we were unable to take our dog into the tea room, but we were allowed to make use of the summerhouse in the beautiful garden, which I expect would be lovely in the warmer months. If we go to Erdisland again, we will certainly pay Rita’s a call.

What an absolute gem of a place.. we we’re staying in the caravan park and asked for a recommendation for a Sunday lunch.. this did not disappoint.. Rita, nick and raina were fantastic hosts, it was all home cooked and we left feeling very full .. would definitely recommend. We sat in the summer house which was a lovely little spot in the garden.. highly recommended.. £17 well worth it..

What a treat to find such an excellent cafe in such a beautiful village. My friend and I visited twice this week for lunch and weren’t disappointed. Staff that really care about their customers and delicious fresh food. The inside of the cafe is quirky with all the pottery figure collections and the garden is relaxing to sit in the sun listening to the water and watching the fish. Even my dog was treated like a VIP when we sat in the garden. Well worth a visit…..highly recommended.

It's a nice little tea room, and the owner clearly loves her business. The staff were friendly and helpful, but we were shocked at the cost of two glasses of Fentimans lemonade and a small bowl of bread and butter pudding (we didn't have ice cream or custard or cream on it). That came to £13.50 ...

Had lunch here as a group of four - the food and service was excellent. Exceptionally friendly and attentive staff and Rita herself is lovely. She clearly loves doing what she does :-)

Looking for breakfast we came across Rita’s and met both Rita and Emma. Great conversation, great food and a great location.

We were looked after really well and all the food that we had was nicely served and good quality. Rita offers a varied and extensive menu and serves a full all day breakfast. Mu hubby had that and I had the scrambled egg and smoked salmon on more than one occasion. Really miss going there.

Visited as recommended by friends. Warmly welcomed to lovely tearoom. Plenty of choice and promptly served. Unfortunately that’s is where my good experience ended. As I found a dead wasp that had been cooked in my food. Although the waitress apologised, the owner and chef didn’t and no explanation or offer of discount was made. I am sorry but I found this to be rude and not good business. I don’t think we would go back which is a shame.

My wife and I had wonderful lunches there. Best Ploughman's I had ever had and even the sandwiches were superb. Staff were lovely and the food was excellent. Beautifully fresh produce and gorgeous bread. Wish I lived nearer.

We’ve been here many times as the food is so wonderful, fresh veg and homemade food is to die for as is the breakfast, as for the two wonderful ladies who own/run it their hospitality is 1st class, the scenery is so picturesque too we’ll be returning again and again 👍 x well done Rita and Emma hope to see you both again really soon x

Lovely friendly tearoom. Extensive menu including lots of veggie, vegan and gluten free options. Over a dozen homemade soup choices. Settled for delicious spicy parsnip soup and gluten free bread. Partner had sausage sandwich and chips. Great staff. Highly recommend.

Husband and I had a lovely steak& pepper sauce took cakes away to eat what a lovely find I would recommend 2 ladies working hard they were both very polite

We popped in for a coffee ,the staff did say there were busy but we didn't mind as not in a rush, we sat in the rear garden which was very nice. The building is an old black and white style which looks really good.

We stayed in Eardisland and had a couple of lunches in the garden of Ritas Tearooms. The staff couldn’t do enough to help, very friendly and informative on the area. We felt very looked after!

What a great experience. Customer service was first class from the moment we arrived until we left. Breakfasts were excellent especially the whole meal bread toast. Delightful setting at our table by the fishpond. Will definitely be back.

Just eaten breakfast here sitting in the pretty garden in the sunshine. Food, service and setting couldn’t have been better. A true delight.

We stumbled across Rita's while staying in Eardisland and were so pleased we did. The garden could not have been a lovelier place to sit with our puppy and enjoy a delicious breakfast. The bacon in particular was fantastic! The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and I was only sorry we didn't stay on for cake. They work really hard to make everyone feel welcome and safe, and have made a great effort to ensure it is Covid-secure.

On the way home from a day out we regularly make a detour to go to Rita's. It is well worth the extra few miles on our journey.

The pretty interior of this little cafe was a delight, & the log burning stove so welcoming on a cold day. I only had coffee (a nice latte), so can't comment on the food, but had such a pleasant chat with the lovely staff member, it made my day.

I keep my Motorcycle close by and regularly visit.. Either alone or with my Partner Carrie we've had snacks, breakfasts and as a family Sunday lunch..Food is excellent hospitality warm engaging not fussy just right..Dont be shy, give it a try. Eardisland is a stunningly beautiful village..

We visit here on a regular basis and we have the best service and food you could ever wish to eat. Rita and her husband Nick and the wonderful team she has working there are truly the best. If your ever passing call in you will not be disappointed.

This little cafe is an absolute GEM. the welcome is warm & very friendly, the food is excellent & well presented. There is a wide ranging menu from which to choose & a cooked breakfast is available ALL day! We have been here 4 times in a few weeks having made a point of returning after our first visit. It is a very old building with quirky touches within, making it an interesting place to cast ones eyes around whilst waiting & eating. We have sampled breakfast & lunches & taken away desserts yo eat later as we were too full at the time. The food is freshly cooked & ALL HOMEMADE by Rita herself, including a lovely range of cakes & desserts. Great food and good portions too all at reasonable prices. Just one thing to note CASH only is accepted NO CARDS! I cannot recommend this Tea Room highly enough!

Regularly order breakfasts from here. I can't believe I hadn't visited earlier. All the staff are courteous and polite and nothing is too much bother. The building itself is beautiful. Such a quaint little gem we have in Eardisland. All homemade and handmade food,breakfast dinners cakes the lot. I'll be visiting again very soon.

We visited Rita's for Sunday lunch the beef was amazing Emma the front of house lady was warm welcoming and could not do enough for us. The food was tasty and there was 6 veg to choose from the tea room was very cosy the pudding were stunning Rita and Nick were fab hosts great food reasonably priced definitely worth visiting.

First time at Ritas tearoom; but, it want be my last. Everyone was really welcoming including the regular clientel. The homemade food was supurb and well worth waiting for and I cannot fault the service, it was second to non. Overall a really good experience.

We were welcomed very warmly and told that cooked food was available all day, which was wonderful as it was already just past 2 pm when we arrived. Our chilli con carne and chicken curry were beautifully cooked and delicious and we didn't have to wait long for the food. A charming tea room with excellent service and menu. Enjoyed yet another wonderful and delicious Sunday roast with friends at Rita's Tearooms. Rita never fails to produce a superbly cooked lunch - Lamb shank with 6 vegetables, gravy and mint sauce, followed by a good portion of Bailey's cheese cake.

Stayed in Eardisland for a family get together. Booked Rita’s for Sunday lunch for last day of our stay for the whole family of 20 follow a recommendation. It was the perfect end to our lovely weekend. From the first email Rita was extremely helpful and very patient especially as I had to email several times to make alterations to the booking. The food was just like the best homemade Sunday dinner. Beautiful fresh food, very tasty and plentiful. Everyone of our party thoroughly enjoyed it, from a 14 year old to our eldest at 82. We are talking about another get together and would certainly book there again with no hesitation.

Early morning motorcycle trip took us to the beautiful village of Eardisland. Following a lovely walk around the village we stopped at Rita's for a full English. Freshly cooked & delicious. Made to feel very welcome indeed. Will definitely visit again ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

One of my favourite places and in a great setting. The food including the breakfast is gorgeous, and the staff are so friendly and nothing is too much for them. The garden is cute and homely to sit and eat in too with nice little touches everywhere you look, inside and out. Haven’t stopped recommending this place since I first visited. Will be trying a Sunday roast next! Cheers guys

Popped into this little cafe during a visit to the lovely town...I was desperate for the toilet and asked a lady if I could use it,assuring that Inwould come back for a cream tea after finishing the tour of the town..well,not only wasn’t she kind in answering, but the coffee I and my friend ordered- feeling that we ought to, after her reply- was nothing but coloured water.Felt really disappointed.

Varied menu, suitable for all tastes. Brilliant Breakfasts, Sandwich’s, omelettes. If you fancy lunch then you’re certainly going to find something that hits the spot. For a Lazy Sunday Lunch Rita’s is the place but booking is wise. Make sure you save room for dessert, Crumble, slices of Cake or Cheesecake, it is fantastic.

I have visited Rita's in numerous occasions and have never been anything other than truly delighted with the food, staff and service. The tea room is a wonderful, quaint setting, and Rita, Nick and all the team always go above and beyond for their customers. The food is always fresh, delicious and they are always happy to customise the menu to suit the needs of the table wherever possible. The prices are extremely reasonable for the quality that you receive. When visiting eardisland I rarely eat anywhere else! I wish there were more than 5* to give!

My Wife and I decided to visit Rita's Tearooms after high recommendations from the caravan park folk. We don't know whether our fellow 'caravaners' were calling an early April Fools joke or whether it was a bad day in the office for Rita's Tearooms.

We had an all day breakfast which was amazing and Rita was such a lovely lady, we just had to come back for a Sunday lunch! We were blown away and blown out, lamb was beautifully cooked and veg was heavenly, lovely sized portion and followed by one of the best treacle tarts I have ever had.

A warm welcome and fabulous food, nothing was too much trouble and the cafe had a wonderfully friendly atmosphere.

I had decaff coffee which was very disappointing, very little taste. Cheese scone was quite nice but dont think it was very fresh. My wife had a very nice cup of tea and very nice toasted teacake.

Eardisland is a beautiful village so if you're in the area do visit and enjoy good home cooked food in a picturesque village.

Very welcoming tearoom in a picturesque village. Wide choice of food available, all home cooked. In December when we visited it was cold, despite the fire being lit. We have visited at other times of the year when it was a much more pleasant temperature.

We have been going to Ritas for years, it is a lovely tearoom, you always get a very warm welcome from both Rita & Emma her very capable assistant. They have a very good menu which caters for all tastes. Rita does a superb Sunday lunch with all the trimmings & all her food is very reasonably priced, this place is well worth a visit.

We stopped for lunch on our way to Presteigne. From an extensive menu we chose the All-Day Breakfast (Veggie for my husband, full English for me). Food was soooo tasty and, along with our Double Espresso and an Americano, was served with a smile. Not sure if/when we'll ever come through Eardisland again but, if we do, Rita's Tea Room will be our port of call!!

So glad we found this lovely place. Visited there when we were on holiday a couple of weeks ago. Had to return for a funeral in Ludlow but we decided we must make another visit and go the longer way home. Unfortunately we had had breakfast at our b & b so were not able to fit another one of Rita's exceptional breakfasts in. However you can always make room for the treacle tart. Delicious! You will find this Tearoom is quite an experience, as Rita & her staff will make you very welcome throughout your stay. Rita has a very comprehensive menu which will suit all tastes. Everything is freshly prepared & cooked to perfection, you will not be disappointed, you will also be provided with generous portions. All this & quality service throughout your stay & when you request the bill, you will find this to be very reasonably priced too. This place is very popular & worth a visit !

Yes five Dots for a great welcome from Rita fantastic breakfast to match lovely village setting it’s the first time in the area but we are already planning to go back in the coming weeks and stay at the arrow touring park just outside the village

My husband and I fancied an outing in the fine weather and decided on a walk around this pretty village and a lunch at Rita's We both opted for a mushroom brie and garlic quiche with salad. The meal filled a large plate! The quiche had a great strong taste and the salad was made distinctive with grapes and kiwi fruit, different types of tomatoes as well as leaves, radishes beetroot amongst other ingredients. We sat in the lovely garden slightly shaded and blasted away by the scent of the wisteria!

We visited with our Auntie after a stressful issue with the dog following a walk. Rita was welcoming and we instantly relaxed to enjoy lunch.

We have been a couple of times for snacks and lunch, a wide selection of lovely home cooked food. Tried Sunday lunch last week, excellent selection of vegetables cooked to perfection with pork, the crackling was out of this world. Several pudding choices of the same standard. So good we’ve booked again for this week.

We called in during the afternoon and met Nick who quickly understood my sense of humour. He assured us that he was the unpaid stand in for the afternoon. My treacle tart and Ice cream went down well apart from having to share some. The crushed ginger ice cream by Rachel made up for the sharing.

We visited Rita’s Tea Room today on recommendation from a friend I would like to keep it a secret but my conscience won’t let me this is a little gem, the staff are so friendly and willing to help in anyway that they can in order that your visit can be as enjoyable, as the food they serve we had an all day breakfast I don’t think I will need to eat anything else today. So thank you for a very enjoyable afternoon, and a must for anyone who is close to them, or passing.

What a lovely place, came in this Easter Monday morning to a fabulous welcome. Ordered two breakfasts cooked to our very demanding instructions of crispy everything. Plates came out hot as did the food cooked to order. The fire was roaring making it feel so...

My husband and I were stopping at Arrow bank in our motorhome and decided to take our little Doggy Eric for a walk when we spotted Rita’s tea rooms. As we had our dog we sat outside and ordered homemade leek and potato soup.. amazing....

we have visited about four times now and had a very pleasant experience each time. Food was good and the staff were very helpful and polite. Have always visited whilst on holiday in caravan on site near by. We will hopefully visit again this year. Thankyou.

Well in need of tasty refreshments my friend recommends Rita s Tea rooms and was not disappointed .had a loveŕly welcome in the cosy tea room with a fire going. decided on the breakfast the small one ample with loveŕly freshly cooked items and loveŕly toast n butter with a good cup of coffee fresh made . there a good choice on the menu for most tastes .What was nice there was no rushing you to move on oh we had two good mugs of coffee .. and Rita n her other half did make us most welcome .and if you were looking for somewhere in loveŕly village and wheelchair access n parking close by that's the place will return

We were well pleased and promised to return a little later in the day after a pleasant stroll around the village on return we were again warmly welcomed and my wife and I selected a small All day breakfast which was excellently provided and well served our smaller elderly needs.
