From start to finish, fabulous welcome, informative and relaxed atmosphere, food really good (sunday lunch), and knowledgeable about local events and things to do in the area, we are booked to go back for the quix night, but we are really not quizzers but a good excuse to go back to this little gem

This is a gem of a pub! Fantastic service, great food, lovely environment in a cute little village...... we loved it!

What a gem this 12th century pub is. Visited for the first time recently and we received a super warm welcome, excellent attentive service and food that was just delicious. With only living 25 minutes away, we'll definitely be back.

If you like a great service and food then the Pandy is for you . 27 hungry cyclists rolled in on a early Friday afternoon and were met by fantastic staff who quickly jumped into action for us ,,, everyone enjoyed there meals , we at the Eastgate cycling club Gloucester cannot thank you enough for opening up early just for us it was so so kind we will be back .

We were staying in the village for a long weekend and decided to have lunch at the village pub. Lovely welcome by the landlady and waitress. Only one choice for a roast Sunday lunch which is unusual .We ordered the roast pork which was delicious . The plates need to be warmed a lot more as the food was cold towards the end of the meal.

Beautiful village pub , loads of character with warm and welcoming interior. Given a very warm welcome by landlady Lisa who made us feel at home straightaway. Excellent choice of local ales/ciders and a varied and reasonably priced wine list. Plenty of choice on menu with very reasonable prices. Our food came to the table beautifully presented and piping hot and was absolutely delicious - can highly recommend James' legendary lasagne and the chilli beef. Desserts were off the scale - Tam's sticky toffee and the lumpy bumpy cake were both superb. We enjoyed the whole experience so much we have booked another 2 visits during our holiday. Well done to Lisa , James and her staff !

Upon arrival at the Pandy Inn, we were warmly greeted by the landlady,who ensured that we felt completely at home, particularly with our small dog Bella. We had the pleasure of enjoying an exquisite meal, deserving of high praise for the chef, all set in a pleasant atmosphere. The staff’s service was exceptional. We extend our sincere gratitude and look forward to returning during our next visit to the area.

A beautiful pub in a really pretty village, Dorstone. The staff were lovely, very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Excellent food! I had the lasagne and it was very tasty! Would definitely go again.

Delicious homemade food. Very tasty and generous portions too. Dogs welcome inside. Friendly staff, nothing to fault here.

Good local beer and a well-earned rest after a walk.

We were staying in Hay-on-Wye and decided to visit one evening. The pub is in a lovely setting and is cosy inside. Lisa, the landlady, and her co-worker were hilarious and we really enjoyed the banter. We both chose the beef lasagne and it was the best we've ever tasted! We visited again on our last night and both opted for the lasagne again followed by the Lumpy Bumpy cake which was delicious. Would highly recommend.

Herefordshire has an abundance of excellent country pubs to choose from but trust me, The Pandy Inn is the best. A fantastic, friendly welcome is followed by a healthy choice of beers whilst you mull - over the small but perfectly formed menu. The food is top drawer and there's plenty of it. See you there again soon!

This is a truly wonderful pub with a marvellous hostess, Lisa. She has created a fantastic atmosphere in this wonderful old building. It's warm, welcoming, cosy - and the food is absolutely great. It's everything a country pub should be. I wish I had a local like this where I live in South West London. Very envious of the village residents having this gem on their doorstep.

Very enjoyable steak and ale pie. They also serve main menu food on Sunday.

A highly recommend, lovely 12th century Inn, dog friendly and a great little beer garden. We received a friendly welcome from Lisa and the team. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was spot on. 👍 The cider choice was also very good and would have had a few more if my wife wasn't persuaded to have a Bailey's concoction that meant I had to drive. 🙂 Thanks for a great evening. We will definitely head back if we are in the area again.

We visited the Pandy Inn today as we'd seen all of the positive reviews since the new people took over late last year. We had the Lasagne and the Australian Burger and both were excellently cooked and presented and tasted lovely. The barman / waiter was very friendly and knew every ingredient in every meal off by heart. We were made to feel very welcome. We will definitely visit again soon.

Stayed in Dorstone begining of May, visited the Pandy twice during our stay, lovely staff, great landlady, was made to feel very welcome, it was my birthday and was given a b/day drink, the food was really good, on the second visit I had the Lasange with the best salad I have ever had.

We stopped for dinner after a long walk and we were delighted with the setting, service and food! The lady who greeted us was super friendly and ensured we had a table in the garden before taking our order. The steak was cooked to perfection and the accompanying chips, onion rings etc were delicious. The chilli beef is proper chunks of beef rather than mince and is served with chips, rice, tortillas, guacamole AND sour cream! Lovely pints of Camden Hells and Wye Valley HPA on cask, perfect. It was just what was needed, thanks.

This was a highlight of our trip. We stayed at the Pandy B&B and had supper at the Pandy Inn. Rooms were gorgeous and bathrooms fabulous. Supper and drinks at the Inn were delicious and the staff were wonderful. Breakfast at the B&B was perfect with lots of orange juice. Highly recommended.

A lovely village pub. 12 of us celebrated my mums 90th birthday, nice friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. A superb Sunday lunch, a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

So I invited friends to a celebration last night. Friends who were celebrating a great success. A magnum of champagne to share! A member of staff quietly arranged for a lift for those who needed one without disclosing my surprise! I have dined at this outstanding pub, I go there for the occasional drink and have found their cuisine outstanding, and their bar welcoming with a great choice of excellent local ales. But the discretion and care for my guests last night went so far beyond what one could expect, that I rate The Pandy as the best Pub in the area!! We were tired and damp from a long walk over the Black Mountains and the lady behind the bar made us both very welcome.Going back for a meal later.

Shouldn't tell you this really, the next time we come for a meal it may be full. This Inn is fantastic, it is friendly, welcoming, no glaring lights, real character, real wood fire, real ail is superb, the food is excellent, home cooked and really reasonably priced. We turned up on the spur of the moment with our daughter, a party of four, ordered differing meals and since the food was so good decided to also try and manage dessert, it was excellent, should this village lose this Inn during the ongoing decline it would be criminal. Cannot give any info on rooms as we have not sampled that...Yet.

Absolutely loved our accommodation but I'm sorry to say the beds were soo uncomfortable that we struggled to make it through our 3 night stay. Hosts were amazing, location amazing but please sort put the bed situation

We stopped off here on the way back to South Wales after a day shopping in Hereford. We didn't know what to expect as it was a Google search but the reviews all sounded positive. Well we were truly delighted. The warm welcome received as we walked in was great and the food and service even better. A little gem worth driving too.

We visited the Pandy on a December Saturday night with Mum, the three of us were given a great table next to the bar and log fire. Everyone working there was friendly and made us feel very welcome as we have never visited before. The food was stunning, everything having that lovely home cooked individual feel. The pub has fantastic Christmas decorations and a lovely ambience - although we live 200 miles away we will be back when we can!! Ten out of Ten for us, thanks so much for a lovely evening.

A fantastic pub that is well worth visiting. The food is some of the best you can get, with a wide selection of entrées. The beer and cider collection is also on par, with many options on tap and of great quality. The outdoor seating is also incredibly beautiful and scenic, offering a nice quiet place for an afternoon ale or a peaceful dinner.

Do not visit with small children. Owners told off my 5 year old daughter for singing, did not approach us as parents. Asked for child dessert menu and was met with cold response of no (there was a child meal menu, so it would follow that there should be child desserts). Owners response to us raising these concerns was to tell us we are bad parents and that our daughter was disturbing other guests. So troubling to find such an anti child sentiment alive in 2023 Britain. If you have small kids, stay away

Lovely old pub, warm and cosy. A friendly relaxed atmosphere. The staff were so lovely. I had the vegan option and it was beautiful. My other half had chilli beef nachos and he really enjoyed his. I forgot to take pics of the food ( unlike me). But I will be back for more, another day and I will take them then.

Fantastic unique pub in superb village surroundings, with super friendly staff that welcomed us like family. We didn't book, but were squeezed in the dog friendly section with our two dogs and it sure was dog friendly with water and treats supplied. Atmosphere and decor was excellent along with a quality drinks menu. Food was excellent, I had the pie and was pleased with taste and amount and my partner had the most perfectly cooked steak. Excellent.

We were staying in Dorstone and ate at the Pandy on two occasions. A good choice of meals with excellent friendly service. The portions are large and well cooked. Difficult to resist a pud, which we shared. Well worth the visit.

We enjoyed a lovely meal at the Pandy inn. Great choice and value and friendly efficient service. All the food was well prepared and tasted wonderful. My husband loved his lasagne and I enjoyed my chickpea and cauliflower tagine. Also great pudding selection and spotted dick and custard and bread and butter pudding didn’t disappoint. We’ll be back!

Our meal was made special by amazing friendly service that just crowned the excellent food. Steak served just right with a wide range of accompaniments, a fishcakes dish with a salad that was well above a normal pub salad and puds that we perfect. Good drinks to add to this, but it was the service, that on a busy Saturday evening, made this special! Well done and thank you!

Stopped by for food and was greeted by a lovely, friendly lady who made us feel very welcome. She was very accommodating of our two fur babies and made sure they were happy during their stay, even providing treats. The food was excellent. The steak was the best I've ever had and cooked exactly to my liking. The tart tartin was so delicious and well worth the wait. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the pub is amazing and the food is delicious. Couldn't ask for more.

The Pandy Inn was a lovely stop off for a Sunday roast and the service and staff were so lovely and accommodating. The food was delish and the doggo was able to relax from the hot sun and enjoy it too.

The meal was excellent and service very good. I would however have preferred my steak beside my salad rather than on top as the salad wilted.

Visited the Pandy Inn twice while we were staying near Hay on Wye. It wasn't the local pub but we had seen some good reviews and so decided to visit. It was well worth the twenty minute drive - a fantastic old pub with friendly and efficient staff who went out of their way to welcome us. The food was excellent with great choice, huge portions and great value. Was very popular and quite busy mid-week - worth booking to avoid disappointment.

We came across this lovely hidden gem by accident. The staff were welcoming and helpful (we were lost!) We came back for some food, and honestly it was the best food we have had our in a very long time. The steaks were actually cooked as requested (rare) they were full of flavour and came with lots of sides that were all amazing, the chilli beef was large chunks of succulent beef not minced beef. The deserts were all incredible, a great selection. The wine menu was also great. Children and dogs welcome and the garden was well loved and beautiful. Thank you very much, we will be back.

Fantastic experience, lovely food and the staff were brilliant. Nothing was too much for them very welcoming friendly and looked after their customers. The landlady even bought me a birthday drink . We will definitely be returning on our next break in this area .

It was a lovely experience with nothing to fault at all. The service was perfect and the food delicious; I would thoroughly recommend to anyone. The ladies serving were polite, friendly and personal and the food arrived well presented, hot and tasted delicious. One of the best pubs I have visited in a very long time.

Fabulous pub, in the middle of a very pretty village. Such a lovely welcome from the staff and very good food. Good ciders, wine and local gin. Lovely local food, steak, chilli and lasagne. Good portion size so no room for pudding but a good choice was available. Would definitely return. Car park at the rear but also opposite.

Stumbled across this place on a drive out through the country. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming, the village was quaint and lovely and the Sunday roast was exceptional! We'll be back if we're driving in the area again!

Such a super little pub. Oozing tradition, but not in a stuffy way. Amazingly accommodating and fitted us in for Sunday roast even after their allotted serving time, plus it was really reasonably priced. Staff were superb and it was really lovely being able to spend some time talking to the owner, who was particularly lovely. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Lovely old pub. We stopped by on Sunday afternoon for a quick drink after a walk.Staff were really friendly and made a fuss of the dog, who was made very welcome with a biscuit and water. We had a quiet drink in a lovely environment.
