It’s been ages since I left an TA review and the involvement of AI here turns me off. Nevertheless, felt we had to document this aspect of our first visit to Hereford. This eatery wasn’t on our radar at all for our day out. Now we’ve found it, we will long remember it. Typically we opt for places with no piped in music but exceptions must be made from time to time and on the day there was great jazz playing at a quiet enough volume to that we could hear each other. And a thoroughly inviting atmosphere overall. Sat indoors due to frosty weather. Lovely, welcoming service and a truly delicious meal of soup + focaccia. The golden milk and dessert of plum tart were also quite good. A really special local café. We also value its food hygiene rating (a 5).

Pequeño lugar encantador - buena colección de bebidas, personal bien informado y a un precio razonable. Un lugar imprescindible cuando visites Newcastle 🙂😍😍

Just had Afternoon Tea at The Chinwag Cafe, Newmachar and thoroughly enjoyed it, it’s a definite ’must have’. We are very lucky to have this great cafe on our doorstep. The food is faultless (especially the strawberry tarts 😂) and the staff are warm, welcoming and cheery. I highly recommend a visit, you won’t be disappointed.

Visited here for celebration dinner. We were treated to a fabulous meal. From the moment we walked in we were treated like VIPs . Nothing was to much trouble and all the staff were attentive and knowledgeable. We will make a point of visiting The Bank on our next visit to Blackpool

Steffan, you darling man! What a welcome we received, we were drenched, dripping with rain, but Steffan welcomed us with a warm embrace and a tea towel to sit on. We then ordered a cappuccino and a black coffee, where I was immediately told I was getting one sugar cube because any more would play havoc with my blood pressure... Quite right! We sat in front of the roaring fire (one of the best I have ever seen), drinking our coffees which warmed us to the bone, whilst my partner (Guy) bored Steffan with his cheffing stories. It was an absolute Gem of a find and made our cold, wintry Snowdon Walk worth every second! Ignore the ten negative (out of 1,500) reviews, you are one of a kind Steffan (They just don’t make them like you anymore), keep doing what you're doing because we will be back. Send our love to Dennis x Love Jade & Guy. P.S. How was the curry? I am sure a complete success.... For anyone reading this, if you do not do Pen-y-ceunant Isaf Tea House, then frankly, you haven’t done Snowdon!

The Salamander was recommended to us by other guest who were staying at our hotel as this was the best place to eat in Mevagissey. They did say we had to book early, as this was our last day we thought we had missed our opportunity. On the off chance that they had a spare table for that night we called at the restaurant that afternoon. The Salamander in tucked away up one of the narrow streets, but easy enough to find. The lady who answered the door to us was welcoming and invited us in while she checked the list. We were lucky they did have an early opening so we booked. Well we were not disappointed. On arriving we were again met with a friendly smiling welcome and shown to our table. The Staff here are friendly and very professional. The menu had some very interesting dishes and there was a good wine list to complement the food. Our food when it arrived was excellently presented and we hoped it tasted as good as it look. It was even better, my pork fillet was done to perfection, soft and tender and melted in my mouth, have not had as good anywhere else. We had a wonderful evening out at a great restaurant. It finished our few days in Mevagissey perfectly. Would definitely recommend dining here if you are in Mevagissey.

We travelled from Hertfordshire to a different place to stay 1 night with our dog on a trip to friends in Cornwall, the other place turned out to be a scam so we had nowhere to stay, we Googled for alternatives and called the Cartwheel Inn, who could offer us Bed and Breakfast. Sometimes things happen for a reason, the Cartwheel was beautiful, welcoming, and the room was comfortable, fresh, modern. The food that evening and the breakfast was delicious.
