I had booked this restaurant as we were staying in the apartments, so we wanted something local as we were having a family reunion. I booked the restaurant and when we arrived we had a drink first in the Hudson bar. A good range of drinks on offer and the bar is very stylish and welcoming. I went to the restaurant reception to let them know we had arrived and I wanted to check where our table was located. We have one member of our party who has a hearing implant so when restaurants are busy it can be quite loud when we are in a group and this isnt helpful at all for our family member. Because we were a party of 7 and they had paid attention to my original requirements we were located at the back of the restaurant where background noise was at a minimum. We were told to come through when we were ready and the restaurant assistant manager (David.....from Blythe) said he would watch for us and he would turn down the restaurant music as well just to help out. This was very welcomed and very nice to see staff being so accommodating, especially when hearing issues are not obvious. David was very helpful in this matter and discreet and even came over and asked if it was at an acceptable level. Can I say more restaurants should be like David! Olivia May was our Yorkshire waitress and she was a delightful young lady, good sense of humour and she was attentive. We had a great meal, lots of drinks and was made to feel very welcome. Thank you to David and his team for a lovely night. Much appreciated from the UK and New Zealand tribe. David is an asset to this restaurant, polite, great sense of humour, accommodating and attentive. Thanks for a great night.

I love Fish & Chips since my early childhood so always have nostalgia any time I have it, so I am always looking out for new places to try. I do not live local to this chip shop so maybe that’s why it has taken me a few years to finally get myself here as I wouldn’t have any other reason to come over to that side of Birmingham. It was a 15 minute bus ride in to town from mine and then 30 minutes on the X24 which drops you right outside George & Helens. I had to wait 10 minutes for the large Fish & Chips which was made fresh and cost £12.50p Shame there isn’t a seating area to eat inside and lucky for me the weather was good so I walked 5 minutes round the corner to a park and sat on the bench to have my treat. The locals in the park seemed very friendly and said hello as they walked past me, which I appreciated. I really enjoyed the Fish, the batter nice and crispy and the Cod inside proper flakey 👍 The Chips was nice but for some reason I was expecting them to be different to what I imagined after reading multiple reviews over the years. I will definitely come back and visit again and give them another go. The woman who served me was polite and good customer service.

Gezellige pub maar het eten is niet verschrikkelijk lekker, matig. Is wel leuk echt lokale pup met lokale mensen. We kwamen geen enkele toeristen tegen. En er wordt wel echt sport gekeken

Spent over £45 on 2 visits and staff wouldn't even give me a 20p fork for free after making the minimum card payment of £10 on both occasions they only wanted cash for the fork... food was great i was just disappointed with them expecting me to pull 20p out my pocket which I spent my last on the car parking
