This place is gone, it was only a matter of time - They should have dealt with the staff better and also used some sort of business sense.

I can’t rate the food as I was told abruptly that there is no food . Don’t bother working in the service industry if being polite is too much . Rude . Unfriendly…. Spend your money with someone else and not her !!!!!

Won’t be back anytime soon ! It used to be a good but has fallen off the edge I’m afraid The cafe area is a complete shambles, full bin bags lying in the seating area, tinned drinks stacked up, bookshelves stood up against wall and no heating. Food is poor quality and hugely overpriced, with stale bread, salad leaves going brown and “ lumps” of cheese in the sandwich. The staff are less than helpful and appearance does not seem to matter to them. All in all a very poor standard set in all aspects

Cálida experiencia acogedora. Mesa junto al quemador de leña, pequeña área de 4 mesas. Personal muy amable y siguió alimentando la estufa. Sopa de chirivía y miel deliciosa y lasaña. Vale la pena visitarlo.

Second time we have visited, very good portions and were happy to swap out items for fussy people like myself. Comfortable with friendly staff and decent ingredients. Great place for a pit stop on a cold day.

Mientras nos alojábamos tuvimos desayuno, almuerzo y cena. He sido miembro de este club durante mucho tiempo y es una delicia poder visitarlo. Lamentablemente, ha habido un esfuerzo económico que ha afectado a algunos de los puntos más delicados, como tener que comer en el bar ya que la sala Brabourne está cerrada debido a que se utiliza para reuniones que generan ingresos muy necesarios. Sin embargo, me siento muy privilegiado de poder utilizar las instalaciones.

A unique little cafe in the heart of erdington inside a beautiful furniture shop, a lovely hidden gem. The staff a young girl i believed was called Natasha was an absolute treat she went above and beyond with excellent service and manners and nothing was to much for her a real credit to Cookes and to Edwards, myself and other members of my group would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

I booked Edwards for my mums 80th Birthday and can honestly say it was amazing. I pre ordered afternoon tea. Nothing was too much bother for them they sorted a table for 8 in the corner which we were allowed to decorate. My mum thoroughly enjoyed it along with friends and family. A big shout out to Natasha who was backwards and forwards with refills and anything else we needed Thank YOU.

Large cafe bar with outdoor space. Reasonable menu for breakfast, brunch or lunch. No guinness on tap. Food was good value and service was quick

This chippy has gone down hill. Over the last 12 months we've had to take back 4 fish been off, the smell was terrible however they did replace them with no quibble. The young man frying in 2024 was much better than the present fryer whom hasn't got a clue how to fry. Tonight 17 01 2025 the chips were anemic raw full of fat, the fish was OK but the batter was soft and full of fat. Question. Do you ever sanitize the chip bins ? Is the fish kept refrigerated? I'm done with the big fish.

I love going into this cafe on a Saturday with my mum and my cousin, they introduced me to it a couple of weeks ago for the first time, and I absolutely love having a drink here with them. They do the nicest hot chocolate, and I look forward to having one each time! The food always looks and smells amazing, I need to try something from there, and I love that they have such a selection. Would definitely recommend it here, it’s such a hidden gem, the staff are wonderful too!

My wife and I were on a cruise on Lake Windermere and we decided to get off and have lunch in this cafe. We both had tasty Leek & Potato soup, served with bread, along with 2 coffees. So nice just to sit at the table overlooking the lake whilst enjoying our lunch before continuing our cruise.

Arrived in the town, tired and hungry. Booked into a B&B and was recommended this place. Friendly staff, warm welcome, excellent food! The person serving us apologies that quite a few of the items were not available as they had sold out. That wasn't a problem ... if anything, it was an advert to how good their food was! Thoroughly enjoyed what we had. Would definitely return here for a meal and good company.

There are 'good' welcomes...There are 'great' welcomes...and then there is a Danyella welcome! From the 1st moment she was delightful, helpful, absolutely charming and lovely! Lovely fire in the REAL grate! Good beers and altogether a smashing way to drink a few beers! Thank you!
