Really recommend here. Me, my husband and 2 children ( 7+3) visited today and loved it. The staff greeted us and helped us find a table. Food was delicious- and there was plenty of it! I was informed that Harrison’s Cafe Bar is a great place for cocktails when on a night out in Nantwich town! This was my first visit and they have some fantastic drinks offers after 7pm, such as 4 x Gordon’s G&T for £10! My only gripe was that early in the evening I’d asked if this deal included the pink Gordon’s and was told yes. Later in the evening when making the order, I was charged over £16 and told that pink gin was not in the deal. This was quite annoying and should be stated on the poster seeing as the staff can not agree on the deals.

Good food, quickly and efficiently served and there was a good atmosphere . Plenty of people in so obviously popular with the locals. A place I would visit again when in Nantwich.

Harrisons is a lovely place to visit for coffee, snacks and meals, all served piping hot by friendly and welcoming staff. They do early week morning treats - Monday's coffee for £1.50, free toast with a hot drink on Tuesday's and tea/coffee and a tea cake on Wednesdays fir £2.50 or £3.50 depending on the coffee. It us always spotlessly clean and has recently been re-furnished to a high standard. One thing to bear in mind - no pushchairs or children under 3 years of age.

We were going in for a sandwich and coffee at 1pm. Turned away for having a young child (7 weeks old) in a pushchair. Wake up Harrison's this is 2018, completely outrageous company 'policy'. I can guarantee if you asked every customer in the establishment if they had a problem with young children being with familys during lunchtime hours there would be a resounding no. Evening hours I could understand but not at 1pm. I can assure you I will never step foot in the place again and neither will any of my family. After reading the replies on other reviews they clearly think it's acceptable that because having a company policy in force for several years it's considered acceptable. They call themselves a family run business, there is nothing family orientated about this business.

Pretty certain it’s illegal for any businesses to discriminate on grounds of race, gender and, most relevantly, age. Surprised therefore to be turned away from Harrison’s with my 6 month old son due to their policy not to serve anyone with children under 3 years old. Nothing to do with licensing or health and safety. According to the young chap who unceremoniously kicked us out in front of a 2/3 full restaurant with plenty of space and seating, it’s just ‘their policy.’

We vIsted Harrison's for a late lunch and found it very quiet. We ordered our food and were asked if we would like to order chips, we declined as on a previous visit we had ordered but they are always the same, frozen and under cooked with no colour. The food took ages before it was served by an unfriendly waitress. The scones we also ordered were served on a plate that seemed to be dirty with marks left on from the dishwasher. By the time we ate these the cream was none existent as this was cream from a can.It will be sometime before I return to this establishment as there are more coffee shops in town to chose from.Personally I think the prices are high for the quality you receive.

I have been to Harrison's Cafe Bar on a number of occasions over the years and have always had a pleasant experience. Lovely food and good service.Unfortunately, on my last attempted visit I received a very different experience. Having been long standing customers of Harrison's before we had children, my husband and I attempted to enter today with our 6 month old who was fast asleep in her pram. Apparently there is a 'no children under 3 policy' so we were turned away. Fair enough perhaps in the evening but I think that turning away a family in the middle of the day is ridiculous. I will not be spending my hard earned cash here anymore so you have lost two regular customers. Harrison's are clearly only interested in my business when it's convenient for them.

Harrisons is a fabulous venue, both day and night. I am a frequent customer during the day, and also enjoy visiting in the evenings, when I get the chance. Having read some of the previous reviews, I'd just like to offer an alternative point of view - I work in a nursery, and have my own children, Harrisons provides an alternative to the other establishments in town, by not having babies and toddlers on the premises. I find when I want to enjoy some 'me time', without the children or a reminder of my job, I can truly switch off and relax there. After discussing this with a number of my friends, who also frequent the establishment, they have agreed that this is a major pulling point of the place. I personally hope that it continues to provide a place of refuge for us mums wanting a little peace and quiet on our days off!

Gorgeous food in great sized portions at a great price, efficient and friendly service, a warm and enticing atmosphere, and great weekly deals! Upon entering Harrisons, you are greeted with a warm welcome and top notch service. Staff are well presented and friendly but not overpowering - something that I feel is extremely important for an establishment of this kind. The food! Where do I start! I have most probably eaten 75% of the food on the menu or more, and none of it disappoints. The soups are especially delicious, and if you are lucky enough to visit on a day with the pie as a special, then you have to try it!The atmosphere is relaxed and warm, with order at the bar service. Evenings at Harrisons are well run, with great music, DJs and some cracking drinks deals. There is an extensive cocktail list, and the bar is extremely well stocked, I can hardly imagine a person would be stuck for choice! All in all, a wonderful place that I visit regularly. After moving to the area in 2014, Harrisons was recommended to me as a decent place to eat. I've given it three chances, and unfortunately, have had add another establishment to the "no-go" list. Staff have been consistently unprofessional (loud, private conversations) and failing to meet and greet with a smile or pleasantry were two areas of failing for me.Twice, the food has been served to me not resembling what was on the menu - a Mexican Burger had replacement baked beans on it instead of those advertised on the specials board - the plate left in front of me with no apology for the switch. It's saddening that the staff here, front of house or kitchen, do not understand, or maybe do not care about how simple it is to please people - be nice to them and give them what they ordered is a good starting place. I don't expect to be treated like a visiting superstar, but good food and good service is hardly a mystery.

Food has got expensive, on the website states paninis £7.75, when the actual price in the cafe is over £10. We had 2 paninis and a pot of tea, the bill came to over £27. We use the cafe on a regular basis, but will be giving it a miss from now.

The most appalling 'meal' and service that I have ever been subjected to. We ordered steak and ale pie and this was brought out to us and placed on our table and described as a pie. However, there was absolutely no pastry, just a bit of gravy in a dish. When I called the waiter back he said 'to be honest, we've ran out of pastry' - are these people for real? To add insult to injury, the manager actually tried to charge us for the pies we never received!!!! Shambolic and not for the first time, but definitely for the last. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME/MONEY!!!!

This place has a vast amount of things for children to play on. However don’t expect to get food quick- they have two cage areas but one is never open and the other has a constant huge queue because the staff take forever! Even if you want drinks you have to queue with the food and last time we queued for 25 minutes! Ridiculous when you have children to supervise and feee!
