Food is nice. I had the carvery. Service was ok, and there wasn't much atmosphere. The place could do with a big refurbishment. The chairs are very worn and areas very outdated. I would go back based on the food.

I have used this place several times as a convenient place to stop and have a drink &/or a meal when waiting to collect people from the airport. I have even recommended it to friends & family. However, the last time I arrived after it was dark & must have missed the sign which was not there previously & now I find that they want to fine me £100 for the use, £60 if I pay promptly. This is not the way to treat customers & in this instance you have lost more than the £60 you have taken from me.

Not impressed. Food was very poor. Steak was disgusting. Bar staff was very poor. Time was against us otherwise we would have gone somewhere else. Avoid this place at all costs. We shall never return.

Brilliant pub staff are always so friendly and happy and the food is amazing for the cost...... I recommend the loaded chicken... AMAZING!! Also loads of great deals on drinks 🍺 for adults great place to watch sports ⚽

We use the car park occasionally as a drop off for the kids with grandparents. We have also eaten here several times. Last Saturday we were in the very empty car park for a grand total of 17 minutes and have been given a £100 parking charge. I appreciate you have a business to run and suspect you have parking problems with people leaving their cars far longer but this feels overly harsh and ensures we will never return for food again. Update: I contacted the pub and was told nothing could be done. I have since received a second fine for a 17 minute drop off. I will do my best to ensure everyone is aware.of this situation and avoids this establishment.

Me and my partner came for a ride out and found this lovely place food was lovely and the landlady was very friendly and polite we are coming on Sunday to celebrate my partners birthday and also going to bring our 2 boys so they can play in wacky warehouse and in their lovely play area outdoor thanks again for a lovely afternoon

We love coming here, always welcome with big smiles and Mel will always go above and beyond, along with the other staff of course. Nice cozy soft play which allows you to see your little ones no matter where they are. Enjoy your nice cuppa. Honestly it's a great little place and great value for money. Mel really is a great credit to your team, such a lovely, warm, welcoming personality.

Great food. Carvery was very tasty. Kelly was really nice and friendly. Desserts were really nice too, especially the ultimate sundae!

Great staff as per usual, all very friendly and accommodating, even in 27 degrees and working until late evening. Always a pleasure. Carvery is lovely too!

Appalling! Worst carvery ever. Tough meat, awful veg, roast potatos must have been par boiled then deep fried or frozen; all topped with watery tasteless gravy. The whole roast when plated looked more like a beige buffet! Peppercorn sauce was warm and looked rancid. When questioned the waitress couldnt speak because she was busy chewing a mouthful of food. Unhygienic place, it was like walking into a vault in the 80s. The place being practically empty should have been a clue!

Me and my wife called in for a quick bite to eat before getting the kids from school. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Especially Lisa who was very kind, polite & friendly. The food is great and there is a great selection of drinks on offer too. We would highly recommend for food or drink. There is plenty of choice for food also. Thank you for a great visit we will most definitely be returning.

We buy a monthly pass at the wackywearhouse each month it has loads of areas to play. It’s perfect for my 3 year old, I take him a few times in the week because he absolutely loves it and is always asking to go. the pass is great value for money too. He adores seeing the staff members, especially Mel he even brings her name up in the car journey there. she’s so welcoming and treats my son like her own. she’s amazing in every aspect, she’s takes her time to know the children even by their names and I don’t think we would go as much if it wasn’t for how she is with everyone. She makes it such a safe space to bring my child. It’s nice to think my child is going to grow up coming here.

Really nice atmosphere. We took a 2 year old with us and it was great for her. Food came quickly so she wasn't waiting long and John who worked on the carvery counter went above and beyond for us!

Staff are not helpful and angry. The service is poor. I've been here a few times now and it is the same. I have now learned that this is not a nice place to eat and will not be coming back

A family party of us met for lunch. 3 of us had all day breakfast, the worst breakfast ever. Staff couldn't care less about anything. One of us had to help an elderly couple while waitress stood and watched. We will not be visiting this pub ever again 😒

The place is very tired and needs a good bit of tlc inside and out. The food was ok, although took a while to arrive. Service was ok no real complaints. It has a decent outdoor climbing frame for children to play on. It did the job for what we needed this visit but would t be rushing back. Could be a great pub, but needs some serious attention to it to bring it back to life

I've been a few times for the carvery and its never up to scratch, gammon stringy, beef fatty, and the veg not cooked long enough, sprouts like bullets, unless it's busy I think the food suffers. However the staff were nice the pub is clean and tidy.

I came in recently for food with my children we all had carverys, a tall ginger lad was serving us I think his name was matt, he was so lovely and very patient with my children who were indecisive about witch meet they wanted but he helped them make there decisions, then another lad called Josh came to top out the vegetables who was as equally lovely. Both gentlemen made me and my children feel very welcome we will definitely be coming again soon the service was amazing the day I came in.

Carvery was dry and looked as if it had been there for hours. Opted for food off menu chicken mix. Disappointed meat and meal warm. Had dessert sticky toffee pudding and custard was lovely and made up for a disappointing meal.

Wacky Warehouse- My boys love coming to soft play here. It’s just the right age range for them (4). Very reasonably priced, with well priced tea, coffee and cake. Really friendly staff too.

Food was great served on the carvery by a lad called matt and what a lad he is made us all feel welcome and had a great chat with him just a shame the staff in the restaurant weren't the same a short girl with brown hair (didn't catch her name) looked like she didn't want to be there and spent more time on her phone than anything else not a great look in the restaurant in front of customers

Visit regularly with my partner & the kids, the ladies behind the bar & serving the food on shift today (11.6.24) are always polite, very welcoming, lovely to talk to also make an effort with the children, can’t fault the service or the food!! We will be back again!! The taxi driver & his Mrs

Hubby Had to wait 40 mins for his main dish to arrive.ordered sirloin steak n chips.meat very chewy n fatty.chips hard not cooked properly.i had the carvery.needed an axe to cut through sprouts n cauliflower.wasp flying around and landing on mash potatoes at carvery counter.Took 5 mins for me to get served at carvery counter.stood around for about 5 mins waiting for server to come and show us where to sit.she was too busy writing on a piece of paper and never even acknowledged us

Had a meal with family had to wait for Carvery to open, once open limited options available, food looked nice but once we sat down to wat food was very undercooked mediocre and bland, the meat was cooked to a low level standard all other option like veg potatoes undercooked, for a Carvery I would of expected to have garden peas, stuffing the normal stuff but nothing just basic food

My son and nephew has a fab time playing at the wacky warehouse, and Kelly was great with the kids and very friendly. Would definitely recommend to tire the kids out.

My visit was very enjoyable. The pub was clean and tidy and there was a good atmosphere. I was served quickly and efficiently even though the pub was busy, and the staff were pleasant and polite. There were two ladies on duty at the time of my visit, one was called Lisa and I think the other one was Beth. They worked well as a team but were individually very pleasant and friendly. Lisa made me feel very welcome and is a pleasant and jolly lady, smiling at the customers and ensuring everyone gets what they want. She reminded me of my Auntie Edith from when I was young, who used to have a kind word for everyone and hand out sweets to the children. And Beth is a very friendly person, serving customers promptly and efficiently with great customer service levels. She was very polite to me and just radiated feelings of kindness and goodwill. In fact I would go as far as to say that if she wasn’t in hospitality, she might have chosen a career in the church, such is the joy and goodness that radiates from her. Greene King, you need to hang on to these two. They are employees to be proud of! I didn’t eat on this occasion but the food looked delicious so 5 stars for that too. Highly recommend this establishment.

Best Carvery around for miles. You need to prove you are staying in the pub to use the car park, by buying something (anything). I always buy the first drink. I have witnessed the staff being shouted at and abused for no reason, just buy a drink!!! Staff friendly and just the right amount of attention. Frequent customer, menu food great too.

I visit the wacky at the wagon and horses quite abit and just want to say how lovely it is there my son enjoys the soft play there and the staff are lovely, polite and easy to have a chat with the food over at the pub is also very nice! Will definitely continue to visit regularly and highly recommend! X

Good place to bring the kids to burn off some some energy, also very affordable. Mel who works here is brilliant with the kids and gives very good customer service. Would definitely recommend!

We came to the wakey warehouses at the wagon & horses on Monday morning with a very bored two-year-old and my nine month old baby, the Venue was very clean and smelt very fresh. The lady behind the counter was so accommodating, I was struggling, taking my toddler to the toilet, whilst looking after the baby very good value for money definitely be making this a regular thing on a Monday.

Great place to go, food was lovely so were the staff and locals. Played darts all night long.

Paid £27 for two large carvery and drinks but was given a stingy amount of meat at the carvery. We tried to get more veg but were told we weren't allowed, its been fine to do so at other Greene King pubs. Not good value for money. While the food was good, I can't recommend this place to others

I ordered a ultimate mixed grill everything on the plate was cold I spoke with a staff member who arranged another grill to come out and the steak tasted like the meat was off never again will I eat from there

Great food, professional staff.

Had a table booked on Saturday night, turned up a little early. Busy-ish and order food at bar. 1 hour and 10 minutes later we got our food. Had to ask where it was. That said food was awesome, chuck burger was one of best I’ve ever had. So score is on the wait and fact no warning of it.

Love this place, we take our son every week and couldn't ask for better service in both wacky with Mel who always goes above and beyond. The staff in the pub, Beth, Ella, Tasha, James and Chris are amazing great service, Lisa always goes above and beyond for us. Really recommended the place, staff and food amazing.

A warm welcome from staff when arrived was then complimented by the aroma of the beautiful looking carvery. That was it myself and my family's mind were made up without even a glance at the menus, carvery all round. We ordered at the bar served by a cheerful fellow named Ian. Over the carvery where we were served by a friendly giant of a man, Alex if memory serves me correctly. The food was as expected, excellent We couldn't fault the experience from beginning to end. Even checked on whilst we ate by a pleasant young lady Kerry. Thank you waggon and horses staff for making our experience a joyous occasion.

We are relatively new customers and I’m so happy with the food and service, that I will be making sure my son comes here for his healthy hearty lunch to carry him through his busy afternoon of play. Lisa has been especially nice and welcoming. She is extremely patient on the phone and really helpful answering any questions even though you can hear how busy it is in the background she has been very nice and explaining things and not in a rushed or impatient way as to get you off the phone. So thank you for this Lisa it makes the world of difference to know that your needs are cared for. My son has additional and complex needs and this place has very good experience with young people and adults whom I believe return there on a regular basis and I believe they always try to cater for this as far as trying to make sure that you have your same seating each week. Although I do understand that ...if you don’t book ...this might not always be possible as other people will be dining too. I have been sent photos of my son tucking into his hearty food with beautiful looking vegetables and even down to the sauce included dishes have been served on a separate dish! This is 5*****s for me because to know how important this can be to somebody with additional needs means so much to my heart to know how important that is and to put this into place just means the world to me that our children’s and adults needs are really taken care of and that they understand and more to the point “care” So huge thank you for this everyone xx There is also a slush machine that works very well as a “special surprise/treat/reward” or bribe lol for good behaviour 😉 We will be a regular from now even though we live miles away, you can’t beat the service and friendliness and good food that you get here 😁 Brilliant well done and keep up the fabulous work xx

Went into the Wacky Warehouse today with my 6 year old niece. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, especially Kelly. Great place to go with the little ones :)

Have been spending the past few weeks visiting every Tuesday for Darts but today was the first time eating in the restaurant. Food was lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful as always!

We recently took our Grandchildren for a teatime meal after visiting the Wacky Warehouse which is adjacent to the pub. It’s a pub that caters for families so our expectations about the food quality were not high. However, it took ages for the food to arrive despite the pub being fairly quiet (late afternoon) which when you have children aged 4 & 2 is quite a challenge. The staff seem completely disinterested in chasing up our order and when it did arrive it wasn’t what we ordered. The pub is very shabby and in need of investment but most of all it just needs some TLC from staff who care.
