Wacky warehouse party of 20 kids all absolutely loved it Mel and her colleague amazing all went smoothly . As first time party for me and alfie all went smoothly and didn't need to worry about a thing alfie had a really good time. All the kids enjoyed themselves. Mel and her colleague ran the party perfect definently recommend others to have a party there xx

DONT PARK HERE!!!. I got a £100 parking ticket, I can't believe they've let the car park to one of them dodgy car park firms definitely not worth going here, go through the village there's a boozer with a bigger car park which is free and better food go there.

Called in for a carvery en route back to Derby. Best one we’ve had in a long while - well worth the trip!! Succulent meat and perfectly cooked vegetables, just like home cooking. Would highly recommend.

Brilliant pub staff are always so friendly and happy and the food is amazing for the cost...... I recommend the loaded chicken... AMAZING!! Also loads of great deals on drinks 🍺 like 2 for 1 on moretti at the moment

Had a lovey catch up with my friends this morning, Mel who was working in the wacky was so nice and jolly and really made me an my friends feel welcome. Was interacting with all the children which is nice to see as usually you don’t see that in many places. Look forward to returning!

A warm welcome from staff when arrived was then complimented by the aroma of the beautiful looking carvery. That was it myself and my family's mind were made up without even a glance at the menus, carvery all round. We ordered at the bar served by a cheerful fellow named Ian. Over the carvery where we were served by a friendly giant of a man, Alex if memory serves me correctly. The food was as expected, excellent We couldn't fault the experience from beginning to end. Even checked on whilst we ate by a pleasant young lady Kerry. Thank you waggon and horses staff for .making our experience a joyous occasion.

I’m a regular visitor, cheapest drinks in the area and staff are always up for a chat and banter.

We went for a mothers day carvery, the booking was on my phone, we were turned away as the booking didn't show on their system, my reservation showed as booked the week before quite clearly but i was told by the lad that as the booking didn't show on his tablet we cant get in, i was so upset I walked out and it ruined my day, my friend went on on a whim with her son in the evening and she didn't know about my experience, she told me the next day that she asked the bar staff if they had a busy day with it being Mothers day, the bar staff said alot of people didnt turn up and they had to turn a lot of people away, Green king, get your apps tested as they dont work, we are regular customers to this carvery

Food was awful. Sausages , bacon was burnt. I asked them to replace, and they brought me raw food. Their Sheff is not good and professional. Also i orderd a Coffee. Coffee was so bad 🤢🤧 No recommend at all.

visited with family on the 12th of April, 3 of us ate £40 for all of us, the food was excellent i had the carvery and for £12,99 it was amazing everything on the plate was perfect, the other 2 meals my fiancee and son had were good as well, we will be back but I seriously recommend the carvery.

Call your parking dogs off I ain't paying £170 for going into your carpark for 15 minutes to answer a phone call and going into the pub to ask for directions so tell the dogs stop harrowing me twice a week with threatening letters not good for my mental health

Just called in before school pick up. What can I say. We were greated with a lovely smile and a warm hello from the very polite lady behind the bar. Her name I think was Lisa. She was very friendly and welcoming. Great service and great choice of drinks. We had a look at the carvery which was on and looked beautiful. We will most definitely be returning here with the family for a what looks like an amazing Sunday carvery. Tha ks again and see you soon.

Last minute pop in at 5pm and though the food and service was good. I felt uneasy at the grotty seating covers. You need wipeable coverings when your daily customer base includes toddlers and manic under 5ys.

Great place to eat with the kids friendly staff food was hot and I was easily able to change an item my son was allergic to. Good range of drinks and a great outside space

We come here often as a family to eat, drink and play. Pricing is reasonable, food is good enough, staff are friendly but our favourite is Mel who runs wacky she's an absolute pleasure always has a smile on her face 😀

Mel is an amazing host for the wacky my children absolutely love coming here and never want to go anywhere else all because they love Mel and the slides haha! The cappuccino they make are delicious too!

Fabulous service, welcoming and polite staff. Food always fantastic and any special requirements catered for. Think I’ve become a regular over the past few months.

I’m a support worker for adults with learning disabilities, we regularly come to the wagon and horses pub for meals out. The staff are always incredible with our residents. Always understanding, patient and provide an amazing service. They’re been nothing but accommodating and adaptive to the people we support. One of the ladies working at the pub even reserved us a section that we regularly use without any pre warning, she just did it out of being really thoughtful and this kind gesture was very much appreciated by our whole group. Food is always nice too. Thank you very much you guys are super stars! Things like this go a long way especially with our guys.

Mel is the best host in soft play, always going above and beyond. Couldn't ask for a better front of house.

Come here once a week with a friend and our kids. Mel is great! She makes the visit, she knows all the children’s names and plays and interacts with them. She’s really friendly and on the ball. Definitely wouldn’t be the same without Mel!

So disappointed, been coming here since I was a child. The food quality the past couple of times, has not been the best. Still gave it a couple of more tries, as it had been busy on these occasions but today was the worst I’ve ever had from there. The butter chicken was so over cooked i had to strip the coating off to eat it and the chips tasted like they had been cooked more than once. Definitely won’t be coming back.

We recently visited Wacky Warehouse and the place has improved a lot since the refurbishment. Mel is always very helpful and friendly with my boys and makes visiting very welcoming. I would definitely recommend for a good value for money kids soft play.

We come every week for the quiz and it’s a great atmosphere every week. Great fun with all teams and the staff are so lovely and helpful.

Was the worst carvey I’ve ever had . My first and last visit here: No turkey ! Gammon was nice but not cut for a while as first piece dry , veg was very soft obviously frozen . The roast potatoes were pale as rock hard no fresh at all .

I visited the Wacky Warehouse with my daughter tonight, and I was very impressed with Mel. We received a warm, friendly welcome, and she is brilliant with the kids. My daughter fell over and burst into tears, Mel came straight over to make sure she was okay.

Came to take my nephew for a play, a what an exceptional service Mel gave :). Talking and playing with all the children. Oh and the cappuccino I ordered was delicious too

I visit every Monday and Tuesday for the darts teams, bar staff are lovely especially Kelly. Always very warm and welcoming.

Come to the wacky most Sundays with my eldest son and youngest! Mel makes the best hot chocolate yummy! She is soo good with all my little ones and I am amazed how she knows all the children’s names! The place to be is wacky at the waggon and horses!

Had the best experience here yesterday the girls on duty were hilarious, Lisa I think her name is couldn’t do enough to make our time there more efficient she was clearly the manager and had everything under control…. Beth served our food to us and was so personable and treated my children like they were her own…. All in all great work from all and the carvery was fab too

Me and my wife called in for a quick bite to eat before getting the kids from school. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Especially Lisa who was very kind, polite & friendly. The food is great and there is a great selection of drinks on offer too. We would highly recommend for food or drink. There is plenty of choice for food also. Thank you for a great visit we will most definitely be returning. X

We came in for my step daughters 18th. Fast friendly service. Food was top notch. Staff were attentive and friendly. Manager made sure we were looked after and is clearly proud of his establishment Would absolutely recommend.

I came here with a lot of family and we all had a great time! The indoor play area was closed I think due to flooding after the heavy rain but the kids were happy to play in the outdoor area so that wasn’t an issue. The staff were great and happily gave us extra chairs when we were short. The staff are constantly working hard and we will be returning for sure. Highly recommended for a Sunday carvery with the family.

I love it in the Waggon and Horses it's a great pub with a nice carvery all very good value. Only negative i have is there never seems to be anyone taking charge or managing around the carvery. There are plenty of waiting staff but only one person serving behind the counter so when things run out he has to leave what he's doing to start replacing empty dishes, which then creates a big queue of people. It needs two staff on there especially at busy times. Also the server can sometimes disappear for quite a long time and nobody covers for him.

Daughters birthday lunch arrived for 3pm all had the carvery dreadful mistake the meat was dry poor choice of vegetables. I asked if there was any peas to the server he looked over and said no .. put gravy on probably not enough to be honest no sauces in the boats that was there asked again was told if there's none there then they've all gone . Food sorry to say was cold and not very appealing. All of us thought the same .Unfortunately this isn't the only time it's happened at this pub gave it a long time before we went back and will not be returning again

Came by for lunch, food and drinks are reasonably priced and service quick and friendly. I opted for the carvery which was good as I could choose what i wanted. My partner opted for fish and chips which she said was cooked just right.

Would have liked to have given 5 stars... But the cheeky so and so's carpark has sent us a parking charge notice!!!!! We've eaten in pubs and restaurants, all over the country and never ever had to pay for parking, I don't even remember seeing anywhere to pay for parking? We were so pleased with the food that we were going to make it our regular stop when we go to the nearby airport monthly. Well certainly not going to be doing that now!

Just visited today. The pub is quite dated in the interior and could do with a refurb BUT we had carvery which was really delicious! The meat was well cooked and well carved. A vast selection of lovely vegetables too. Piping hot thick gravy. Had an enormous warm fudge cake for sweet which was moist and divine. The staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit again!

Called in for a drink after work with my work colleagues as the traffic was horrendous will definitely be a new Friday thing the staff were brilliant and friendly. Perfect place to wind down after a long week at work.

Awful food and strange clientele. Won't be returning

Awful - I would not recommend this pub to anyone. Submitted a complaint over the soft play to Head Office only to receive a phone call. Spun the complaint around to make me out like a liar. Was expecting an apology, however I had to put the phone down as the phone call we realised quickly had not come from Head Office but a colleague of the lady who was really rude to us. Really unprofessional staff and the soft play manager is very argumentative. The staff member shouted at us for complaining. Disgusting service and I don’t feel that it is safe for families at all as my 2 year old son was hurt and the staff were more concerned with covering themselves than checking he was okay.
