Absolutely fantastic breakfast, cooked to perfection. The sausages were amazing. Best breakfast around. Also the nicest coffee .

…so it was perfect for us today! My chicken curry was also delicious and food arrived pretty quickly, plus it was all fairly priced too. Great to see independent cafes flourishing too as it was quite busy when we visited.

I have have drinks here many times over the years but today I took two friends to Milano's for lunch. The flowery passage-way was cool and pleasant on a hot day. We chose our meals and drinks, taking the drinks with us outside with the table number for our food. The food arrived after a resonable wait and it was very good, we had all chosen the same (panini) and they were large, piping hot and delicious, with a lovely side-salad and creamy coleslaw. We were offered sauces etc and we thouroughly enjoyed our lunch and have already recommended Milano's to family and friends.

Nice little cute restaurant so much you can order what you like well maintained in and outside of the building. The staff are friendly and polite and situated in the market town of Oswestry good for all ages

A large cafe. Breakfasts stop at 11am which is a shame. Their sausages are top quality. The toasty was good and husbands cod good. Accessible toilet.

Great food and very friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. I only wish they would stay open a little later.

Looking for somewhere for lunch and found this gem by accident. Lunch was very tasty, staff friendly and service quick. Liked that I was given the choice of salad or chips with my sandwich as I don’t like chips and often have to ask other cafes not to serve them with my food. The salad was large and the coleslaw great, which went well with the fab coronation chicken sandwich! I love my coffee too and was not disappointed with that either. Will defo be back when next in Oswestry.

We found Milano's while looking for a cup of tea while waiting for our car to charge nearby and the toasties were very tasty. We sat upstairs and admired the interesting conversion of what was obviously an old building.

I've had a lovely welcome and we're told we could sit anywhere, which is a refreshing change. I ordered a hot chocolate, toasted teacake and a sausage roll, for my dog. It arrived really quickly and was very tasty. It was really reasonably priced, less than £6. The staff very friendly and helpful. Only downside, I couldn't find a menu, but I'm sure if I asked, one would've been found. I'll definitely go back

Brought the mrs and hungry step son. We had tea cakes and two large breakfasts. The small breakfast at £4 is a feast of well cooked ingredients - scrambled eggs were fantastic and everything else followed suit. The staff are lovely and even offered a pot of hot water with the tea pot. There is plenty of space, swift service and the only negative is the fire door exit can slam when people nip out through it. 10/10

We had found this on a previous visit so looked for it again & were not disappointed. We had parimisht for lunch & they were excellent. Definitely not disappointed

I regularly eat here with a friend for breakfast. The coffee is excellent and the food is good. The staff are so clean and hygienic. As soon as they clear a table it is wiped and sanitised. Then the chairs are also sprayed and sanitised. They really are doing exceptionally well to keep us all safe. There is hand sanitiser to use before and after using the toilet with a very good one way system to enter and leave. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. How good to see them going the extra mile to keep us all safe when they can't operate at full capacity. Well done Milano's and keep up the good work.

The food was ok tho the jacket potato was cold. *****The main issue is that while we were here the all tables were routinely cleared of plates etc when people left BUT NOT ONE SINGLE TABLE WAS WIPED OR SANITISED IN ANY WAY. Our table was dirty when we sat down so I wiped it with hand sanitizer and tissues . But no other table or chairs or condiments or menus were cleaned AT ALL between customers. We stayed longer just to watch - it’s disgusting in normal times but in the pandemic it’s unforgivable especially as so many customers ate elderly. Appalled.

Called in yesterday for lunch I had lasagne and it was excellent very large portion it is excellent value for money would highly recommend

Hidden away in a quiet alleyway this cafe affords a nice coffee break whilst doing the shopping.Plenty of comfortable seating and a friendly staff. An excellent reasonably price latte. Will certainly call again.

Called here this week for a hot chocolate , and toast . Table sticky, didn't feel comfortable sat there . Hot chocolate arrived, i asked for small, but the cup was very small compared to other places in town, much smaller. half of it was froth, tasted bitter, and was cold. Toast eventually arrived after nearly 10 minutes, with a small pot of jam? i didnt ask for jam, and when i ordered wasnt asked if i wanted it. I think the staff there, especially the lads , look like they are very over dressed, in the very uncomfortable looking waistcoats. I dont know what this place is trying to be , but staff dressed like this in a coffee shop down an alley dosent do it for me.

Stopped in for lunch. Great seating. A little bit of coffee on the table I sat at but I cleaned it up myself cause the staff were busy and it wasn't a big deal like some people make it out to be. The staff were fantastic, coffee was so good and the soup was incredible. They have gained a regular.

Recently started visintg and intend to visit again. Nice menu options at very affordable prices. Food very good and good portion sizes. Lots of seating upstairs and down. Seating at tables or sofas available. You do have to carry your drinks upstairs which can be tricky but food is delievered to you. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Downstairs is accessable but I'd say not upstairs. If I had to have a negative it's that the bathrooms could do with a freshen up as it does seem a little below par to the rest of the place.

Called in for coffee. Tea cake was burnt and the cloth seats where really dirty and stained. Tried 3 different tables and all had dirty seat covers. Doesn’t give a good impression.

We really enjoy the coffee, staff friendly, but having replaced the table and chairs with wicker furniture the cleanliness is not so good, the cushions on the wicker chairs are dirty I had to flick food of them, food gets lodged in the edge of the glass table tops which is more difficult to clean which is letting a good coffee shop down

Come on Milano's, you used to be the best coffee house in Oswestry, Great quality beverages,well presented cakes & salads, reasonable prices, appealing environment & interior, bubbly staff etc. Alas, we went in Saturday early morning (presumably the busiest day) and it was obvious nothing had been cleaned. Sticky tables, crumbs & bits of food on the floor & tables, seat's need a clean etc Also the service is...a little flat to say the least. Everything is gradually losing its shine. Which is a real shame, because it's still one of the best independent places for coffee around. So - to conclude, get yourselves a really good cleaner, don't let your standards slip & perhaps a bit of confidence coaching for the staff and hopefully you will be back on top in no time.

Everything is sticky and the cafe smelt of unclean cloths. Toilet had no soap and not clean. Took ages for food to arrive and it was average at best

Second and last visit to this cafe. First time we went we were served a lukewarm latte, told waiter and he replaced it with another lukewarm latte. Thought it might have just been an off day so went back again today.Ordered coffee and toast and toast served rock hard and completely burnt. Couldn’t be bothered to send it back as just wanted to get out of there ASAP.Not a relaxing atmosphere, the whole place looks like it needs refurbishing, nothing feels welcoming about it. Toilet area looks as though it’s not been decorated for several years, grubby doors and skirting boards, dirty floor tiles. Hand dryer out of order and no paper towels so had to scrabble through my bag for tissues to dry my hands.Place seemed noisy with kids running upand down , people talking loudly. Waste of time and money. I always like to support independent cafes but they need to step up and make it a pleasant experience not the disappointing experience it is

From the outside this looks a lovely place, but on entering and trying to find a table we were met with dirty tables with crockery that needed clearing before we could sit down. I did this as it was clear the young staff just seemed to want to stand and chat behind the counter. Food was ok but would not go back

We visited the Coffee shop for Coffee, saw the menu on offer and returned the next day for Breakfast, we were not disappointed,glad we made the choice to come here.

Lovely looking dog friendly cafe. Panini quite crunchy although very tasty. Hot drinks good. Problem was that both toilets had no soap, not good for a small cafe, wouldn't return as staff probably use them too.

We met with family on Saturday 9th Feb 11am. Our group consisted of 6 adults and 2children. We ordered drinks and cakes which amounted to £26.

We called in Milano in Oswestry for lunch and wasn’t disappointed. We ordered homemade leak and potato soup and sandwiches. Very good value for money. Plenty of tasty soup and a large warmed panini roll and plenty of ham and salad on the sandwiches. Delicious coffee and very quick service.

Called in as a family for breakfast as the breakfast menu was on at the table. No real waiter service here, you have to queue up at the counter, give your order and pay before you get it!

Great food and service although only half full took for ages for meals to arrive all spoiled by the fact that I don't carry much cash these days and like to pay by card but they don't except even bank cards "CASH ONLY" having payed tax all my working life why should these eastern europe peaple be in business getting away with it

Popped in here for coffee and toast early on a Saturday morning nobody else in this part of restaurant and only one table in the other part had people at, had not been to this coffee shop as last time ( months ago) service was so slow so though we would give it another try.

Stopped here on holiday for a quick bite. Very nice cappuccino (much better than the usual high st chain places). Also had a nice brie and bacon panini

I called in for an afternoon coffee and took my Americano upstairs to the cafe’s lounge area. It’s quiet, but it’s right next to the chef and the cooking area, so it’s easy to hear the conversations between the chef and the staff. Never mind, the seating is very comfortable and you can look out into the arcade to watch the passing world. The coffee was quite good, perhaps a little weak - but it was made by a machine so there’s not much to be done about that.

Called in for lunch. Very efficient staff but decor needs a bit of work but worst of all I had fish and chips and the fish (out of a packet) wasn’t cooked and leaked water. Horrible

We normally pop in here for coffee and toast on a Saturday morning early on and there is normally one young man serving and always helpful and fast service with a smile.

Last minute decision to call but a good one 😊 had full English breakfast and a cappuccino,both excellent,perfect poached eggs,friendly service and very prompt arrival of food.love having breakfast out and this was fab.

Went for breakfast here this morning and ordered two English breakfasts which didn't come with beans so I added them on at an extra cost which was fine. The food come out with no toast so we asked the man does the breakfast come with toast and if not could we buy some as we need it to put the eggs on it. He said he wasn't sure (how can you not be sure what comes with a meal when you work there!) and he would get us some so he went away and didn't come back. We started eating the breakfast hoping it would only be a few minutes as it is toast but half an hour later nothing arrived. I went back to the till with 4 staff behind it and asked a man if our toast was on the way which he replied it shouldn't be long. He brought 2 slices of toast over (no butter and didn't ask) and I told him I wasn't too happy as our eggs were now stone cold so I would not be eating them anyway. He apologised and the another man which looked like the manager came over and I explained that our toast has taken half an hour to come out and now our food was cold, got no apology from him he just said he would go and see what happened. He went away and came back with the receipt from the till saying we didn't order toast! I had already explained to him that we had asked the waiter if we could pay for toast as it didn't come with the breakfast (what full English does not come with toast). The man then went back to the kitchen and then came back and was told that the chef had said we should have ordered toast at the till at the same time as the breakfast if we wanted it and there was nothing they could do! How rude and unprofessional I was not impressed. I would have ordered toast at the till if it was such a problem to order some at the table when we realised there was none with our breakfast. There was a big queue with 4 staff behind there with no clue what they were doing and my food would have gone cold. Had no real apology from the waiter or refund for the cold food we had left or did he offer to cook us some more eggs for our toast. I had given up by this point and just left. Absolutely appalling customer service and management never in my life have I been spoken to like this in a restaurant, I had better service from weatherspoons in the evening. Never will I be spending my money there again.

We went for a midweek lunch, we had paninis- there was a very good, varied menu. The coffee was tasty and I had a delicious piece of chocolate orange cake. The staff were pleasant and friendly.

We live in the town and thought we would try here for change but it wasn’t that nice and disappointed the staff seem to busy talking between them selfs and not interested in service and customers. The hot chocolate is basic and the victory sponge...

We stopped off in Oswestry on our way from Chester to Shrewsbury and dropped into this café for a light lunch. It was very busy, which is always a good sign and many of the diners seemed to be regulars, as they were greeted like old friends. We found a vacant table in the conservatory area, which is a lovely space. However, this table and others had not been cleared and when our lunch was brought we had to ask for the previous diners' dirty plates to be removed. The table was not wiped clean.

We stopped off here when isn Oswestry shopping for a bite to eat, to me this is a good cafe that does nice food, plenty of seating, nice staff, well priced, good place.

Nice coffee, average food with panini and greasy chips. Wasn't outstanding but alright. The main problem was the whole seating area felt grubby; sticky tables and food all over the floor. We asked for the table to be wiped and the staff were friendly about it but didn't really scratch the service; needs a proper clean down.

Having recently moved to the area was looking for new places to eat and drink, me and my fiancee stumbled upon Milano's what a great find it was, the pasta dishes were amazing and so filling, the coffee was so lovely no idea why people on here have been moaning about stuff, we found it welcoming and very pleasant

Dirty and out of date, poor quality food and poor selection of cakes. The staff don't want you to be there and never smile. Why don't they just shut the doors. It wont be long before they have to at this rate. No Wifi,Go to Costa you know what you will get and it always good the staff are trained and the coffee is good.

Milano's serve just the best coffee..so much choice and do decaff specialty coffees too,Cakes are amazing..see photo.Reasonable too - 2 x large decaff cappuccinos, 4 slices pf toast with butt er and little pots of marmalade and jam for just over £7.00 ......in some places you can pay over £3.00 for just a large coffee.We love the revamp of downstairs seating and much more comfy.Great for a light breakfast or main meal for lunch.

Nice comfortable interior, and really nice coffee, good alternative to the Costas etc, similar price range. Nice range of snacks and cakes, definitely recommend.

Stopped here for lunch on Saturday whilst on the way to Ironbridge.y partner and I both had a Panini and a cake each, both delicious. Coffee was amazing too! Will be coming back again.

Having had a disastrous experience at another cafe a few minutes earlier, we entered Milano's with a bit of trepidation. We needn't have worried. The staff were very open and friendly. We had a panini each and they were really tasty. I also ordered the homemade coleslaw which was an absolute delight. We will make a point of visiting here again on our next trip to Oswestry.

When in Oswestry this was our usual haunt for coffees etc, not any more I'm afraid. All the furniture in the conservatory area has been removed (and it was in keeping, i.e. conservatory style) and in it's place there are now brown, uncomfortable bench seats, and a few brown low backed chairs, all of which have seen better days and reminded of seating seen in old men's clubs or the not too salubrious pubs. This place used to be buzzing, but word must have got round as we were the only two in. Won't be calling again as there are now nicer places for coffee in Oswestry.

I was looking for a coffee shop that I could take a few weeks old baby for a coffee and to feed her when I came across Milanos. I found it to be spacious,accessible, clean and comfortable. The staff were most accommodating and I was able to enjoy a very peaceful coffee break whilst feeding my baby.

This use to be such a lovely place to stop for coffee but recently it has deteriorated. Needs a good clean, smelly toilets scruffy conservatory.The young man lacked any customer service experience looking as if he could not have cared less !

We visit Oswestry once a month and my husband and I always go here for the Cappuccino and toast for breakfast.Choice of breads ( always nice and fresh) little pots of jam or marmalade - coffee is delicious and service excellent.Always very clean and never felt rushed either.Selection of homemade cakes to die for, we have had lunch here a few times too and food always very tasty and you can tell home made lasagne and coleslaw.Well worth a visit and would recommend the cappuccino.

Thanks to very strict dietary requirements there was nothing on the menu that I could eat. I asked if there was any chance if I could have an omelette (not on the menu) and I was treated to a beautiful one made just for me. Couldn't have asked for better

We asked for two flat whites. We got two boiling hot lattes definitely with single shots, tAsted like dish water . We left them unfinished. I ordered mine with what looked the best of what was an apauling selection of cakes. In the end that turned out to be a tasteless homogeneous mass catering cake of crap. I ate it cos I was hungry. Wish I had taken it back. My wife had a toasted baguette . The chicken was dry tasteless and took some serious chewing. Ambiance crap, layout crap, lighting crap. We will not be going back. Seriously how hard is it to make a decent coffee and buy/make a decent cake and figure out what makes a place feel nice to spend time in. Go somewhere else save your money.

Tried to go in today as like this cafe . We walked in and mist tables were full so decided to go upstairs knowing that you have to order downstairs . No menus at all upstairs and the tables looked like they could do with a clean . Booth style seating flaking and tired . Walked back down and joined the queue alongside 7-8 dirty food laden plates , what a shame . So disappointed .

Found this coffee shop by chance and we are glad we did the service was good and the seating area was well spaced out and we could relax,not busy when we went in but it was 1530 in the afternoon,I had tea and the others in my group had mocha coffees which they said were good.Would visit again when next in Oswestry.

Scrumy soup and tea, visited with in laws and my baby girl who was 8 weeks at the time . Back of cafe ideal for a pram, plenty of room. Worth a visit if your after a drink or light bite.

A lovely place for coffee cake tasty lunch or afternoon tea. It's welcoming, clean and with happy smiling staff where nothing is to much trouble.however,they have now stopped the cooked breakfasts which were huge portions hot and delicious. You can still get a breakfast bap tho. Not quite the same. We will return.

I regularly visit Milanos and the staff are always friendly,there's lots of pushchair space and spacious clean toilets,big comfy sofas,and good drinks and cakes.

Always come here while in Oswestry for hot chocolate and a cupcake. Nice, relaxed atmosphere and friendly, prompt service. Very reasonably priced too and close to the main car park.

This weekend, my girlfriend and I planned to spend a few days in snowdonia national park and climb the peak at snowdonia. On the way I wanted to pop into oswestry and take my mandi to a cafe where I have had lunch with my work colleagues previously which we all enjoyed. The cafe Milano has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are really friendly :) we both had a ham and mushroom carbonara along with a coffee and cakes for pudding! We both really enjoyed the carbonara as well as the carrot cake and lemon drizzle! This was a great start to our weekend away :)

Good coffee, good value, nice cakes! Pleasant setting. We have been to Milanos a number of times and have always found it to be decent. I have no complaints!

Enjoyable morning coffee and toast as ever, always clean and tidy, staff always nice and welcoming, I can only comment on the upstairs as thats where we always sit, we like it as its usually child free and quiet, chairs very comfortable, highly recommend as not far to walk from main car park and nicely tucked away.

I go here often for lunch with friends and family and it's always been super.I was starting to get used to the low prices when I took three friends from Birmingham and they wowed in awe over how cheap and good quality the menu was. Have been here many times and never disappointed.

On entering, we were met by 4 young staff, one of whom was on the phone, one young man was standing in the doorway and the 2 girls behind the counter were talking to him. No-one paid us the slightest bit of attention until we asked if it was counter or waitress service. The elderly couple behind us were also ignored as the staff shouted at each other, continuing their conversation about a dog. The coffees we eventually drank were rather bland although the rocky road bar was nice. The coffee house is very smart and modern and has a lovely conservatory-style frontage but the service was woeful and the toilet floor littered with paper. Staff need reminding about customer service, but we won't be back to see if it works.
