Coffee wasn’t anything special. Tables not cleared or wiped down. Busy but not overly for the staff on duty. 1 lady taking orders at the till and making drinks whilst a ‘manager’ stood beside her cutting tags for cakes did not acknowledge anyone in the queue waiting. About 7 of us. Poor management!! Next time I will take my own drinks.

Recently refurbished and Rebranded as "Fire & Fork" promising a " a traditional American barbecue experience". No Bread available before Starters. - Pork Burnt Ends - Mixture of under and over cooked chunks of pork in a sickly sweet, slightly spicy smoked sauce. Need something acidic to cut through all the fat came with "Texas "Toast", Stale slice of bloomer spread with an unidentifiable substance. Beef Cigars - Lovely shredded beef in a crispy pancake style roll with a rich, smoked Garlic Mayo. Mains - XL Short Ribs not available so both ordered the 10 Hour Smoked Brisket. Served as described on menu. No discernable smoked crust or flavour to the Brisket. No mustard available at this restaurant. No Napkins provided, asked twice, got some from another table. we dealt with our cutlery shortage similarly. No water provided when requested. Inexperience of the staff evident but more than made up for by their enthusiasm and wish to please. Two Starters, Two Mains, Three pints and a Short / Mixer - £92. Option to add tip to card payment. Cash tip direct to server. This place has lots of potential but needs to overcome teething problems before one will consider a return

Went here with my mum for lunch. Ordered 2 sandwiches, a tea, a can of juice and 2 cakes... It came to £32!! The cheesecake & Panna cotta were £6.50 each, if I'd known this before I paid, there's no way would I have paid that price especially for the cheesecake!! I know the price of things has gone up but £6.50 is extortionate for a small piece of cheesecake!! Staff were lovely, the lady carried the tray to our table as I had mum in the wheelchair, very pleasant lady

We have been here before but, the service at that time was terrible. However, we though we would give it the benefit of the doubt. It wasn't too busy so, the waitress sat us at a window seat.We waited patiently for some time and my husband eventually tried to catch the attention of one of the several waitresses who were wandering around clearing tables. He was ignored on all three attempts. I eventually went up and asked at the till if someone could take our order. I sat back down and waited again as the waitress began dealing with another customer. There appears to be no one in charge at weekends and service is haphazard to say the least. We left and went next door

We stayed for a few days at Purdy Lodge in September & October. Whilst there, we decided to have dinner there on one of the nights. There is an area of the restaurant which is dog friendly which is great. Staff were pleasant and friendly The starter in Sept was delicious! Sticky Belly Pork & Black Pudding Salad. When it came out you would have thought we were dining in a fine dining restaurant. It was beautifully presented, and a good portion size too. It tasted amazing and the belly pork was soft and tender. It was just a shame when we visited in October it was no longer on the menu. PLEASE BRING IT BACK! The mains and pudding were just as good, but the belly pork was just next level.

Came for Mother’s Day lunch with family and friends , staff were attentive , the lunch as always (we come very Sunday) was delicious, hot, extra gravy, sauces and the extra touch of daffodils was such a welcome touch. Very reasonably priced as well, a credit to the floor and kitchen staff on an exceptionally busy day.

Booked an evening meal whilst staying in log cabin near by. Large portions of home cooked food, quick service and friendly and helpful staff. Reasonably priced, in fact we were surprised and were expecting to pay more for the quality. The decor is lovely as well, quite cozy on an autumn evening. Will definitely return next time we are in the area

Poor food menu and slow service and terrible value for money. English cheese at £9 is two small bits of brie and some crackers. How can you get a cheese plate so wrong. Burger is poor and again how can you get a burger wrong. Such a shame as pub and beers nice.

This is our preferred coffee/lunch spot when shopping in Oswestry. The hotel and Wilson’s are a great attribute to the town. Having been recently refurbished, it’s clean and trendy and always has a good atmosphere. The young staff are always friendly and there’s a car park. The menu is reasonably priced with plenty of choice. Recommended.
