The best restaurants serving Asian food in Yorkshire and The Humber

Midweek visit. Wanted to spend the whole evening here, but alas we didn’t, all because of a young lady behind the bar, with what looked like daffodil prints on her face, was somewhat rude. So we spent our £200 somewhere else that evening.

The food is everything here. It's really, very good. Unlike the service and the canteen like atmosphere, which are both lacking. There are better places to eat, but it's reliable and tasty, if expensive.

Incredible food. The hot pork belly dish is sensational. Add the fried egg. It works. Definitely only for those who like spicy. 😋 The club next door's music making the whole place vibrate just adds to the Bangkok feel of the place.

Great curries extensive menu friendly staff The best in Shipley in my opinion .try to get there at least once a week , and the prices are very reasonable.

Having lived in Hessle for a number of years now I thought I’d book here as my husband said he’d like to try it one day. It’s a really quaint little place, lovely decor. Yes it’s a bit pricey compared to a pub but what I had was nice. The food was delicious, we both thoroughly enjoyed everything we had although not much meat for the price. The service……not great! We were told which table we were at, not shown to it although it’s a really small place it would have been nice. It took a while for someone to come and take drinks order, we were then told it would be a while for the cocktails. Husbands drink arrived and we ordered started before one of my drinks arrived (ordered 2 for £16). Starters arrived swiftly. I finished my drinks whilst eating the starters, no staff came to ask if we needed anything else. When we finished we then ordered our mains and another 2 cocktails. Mains arrived before my cocktails. When we finished our food and drinks the plates were cleared, empty glasses were left on table. We assumed someone would come back to ask if we wanted desert or another drink…..25 minute’s later nobody had come! Yes plenty of staff around, taking orders from other tables etc that we could have asked but they never caught our eye and never came to us. Just felt that service was a bit poor! Eventually on the way to the toilet I asked for the bill. I don’t like to be constantly fussed over by staff whilst I’m eating out but would have liked some interaction! There seemed to be plenty of staff (waiting staff) so not sure what the issue was. I also noticed that others seemed to be waiting for service!

Good choice of vegetarian dishes. Easy to order. Delivered a few minutes earlier than estimated time by a friendly and polite man. A few extras included. Delicious all round!

My husband and I had food poisoning from a veggie curry from here! If you fancy 14 hours of vomiting then this is for you!

Found this in my chicken tikka special. Not obvious at first but when it came to moving to a tub in order to freeze I noticed the dust ball an then the thread which was in the curry. I felt physically sick and did not expect this as usually curries from here are exceptional. I look forward to your comments. Kind regards Mr Peace
