I absolutely love these noodles. I have the combo, which is noodles with chunks of meat and prawns. They have small, medium and large. The small is £6.. They've lots of other dishes. Be aware that they only take cash. At the time of writing this, the opening times are 11am to 10pm. I've only 1 bad thing to say. It's suppose to open at 11am. 3 times I had to go back and today (Mon 23rd Sept 2023) the door was open, lights were on, but they still weren't ready for customers. As I have a bus to catch. I couldn't wait. Very disappointing with the opening times.

It's salty and bad. I've never eaten such an unpalatable takeaway fried noodles, and I will never patronise it again. not recommend

Went here today on my lunch break. I'm from our of town and it was local to the job. I felt sick I paid £8 for a box of rice noodles and a bit off sauce. Tasteless and shocking. Chucked most of it in the bin.

Online order - order never arrived, tried to contact them on numerous occasions but were so rude when they did answer the phone and told to contact Uber when youve sat and waited an hour for your food to come i think its appalling they couldnt try to help us but stated they were too busy, not too busy to take £46 out of the bank account though no idea what happened to the rider as he called on a no-caller ID phone and then asked to ring back!!!! !! shame really as the food is good. Appalling service and now not answering the phone ignorant and rude!! id add photos but food never arrived!!!!

I really have no idea how this place has a 4+ rating. I got the Pad Thai box with the drink... I think it was something like 8 pound something... The positives: The food was fresh and warm, they make it on the spot and you can see them making it. The boxes are a good size. I got the regular and there was plenty of food. The negatives:... Where do I start.... The food has absolutely no flavour... This tasted nothing like Pad Thai noodles... It even has a bland colouring. There were like 2 or 3 pieces of chicken and almost no vegetables... All the vegetables were at the top so once that's gone you're left with bland soggy noodles... I don't even know why they're soggy since there's virtually no sauce in there. I ate about a quarter of it and then it literally tasted like soggy watery rice noodles... I had to go to the kitchen and put on some soy sauce and mexican hot sauce to give it some hint of flavour.... Maybe they just don't know how to make that particular dish and maybe their other dishes are better... Or it could be that they cater too much to the western palate.... I'll give it another try at some point and edit my review if it improves. Also, they don't take cards... Only cash.

Paid for extras didn’t get them

Specifically requested for no prawn or shrimp in the combo boxes and this requested wasn't followed. There was an issue with th3 collection as someone else tried collecting the order.

Order was incorrect, was remade but didn’t have double meat in as paid for.

I have not been to Huddersfield in the past five years. Mc Noodle King was the first restaurant I sorted out when I got here. The ambience has changed, however, the food tastes the same and that's wonderful. They now have better-improved deals 2 days a week. Extra spicy means extra hotness indeed!

Friendly fast-food chinese/east asian shop. Generous portions. Has a few tables to sit at but also takeaway. Tasty.

Girl at the till got my order completely wrong, I asked her multiple times for the satay box with no veg, and told her multiple times as she was struggling to understand, to get home and realise she had put hot box, I’m allergic to chillies and luckily it’s not a extreme allergy but couldn’t eat it at all and also still had veg in it too which I couldn’t eat. Not happy as it cost me for something I couldn’t eat and went to waste. Normally spot on but think they need to get someone on the till that can understand better.

We bought the sweet box, satay and pad thai... The sweet and satay boxes were bland and didnt have any flavour. Both were basically just noodles with a small amount of meat. The pad thai was also bland and tasteless however it did come with some spice to add heat but that didn't help overcome the lack of flavour. Overall i was disappointed as it used to be much better.

Paid for extra beef and prawn only to have 2 pieces of beef inside. And hardly any chicken or veg in there either, just a box full of noodles. Very bland too

Order completely wrong and when I called up the girl at reception was absolute horrible I got told that they where not gonna do anything about it and hung the phone up on me absolute disgrace and I’m really upset as I order from them a lot and never had that before

I hate writing a bad review but it’s deserving. I literally had super long strand of hair in her food. But two packs of noodles yams lost appetite after literally drawing a long strand of hair from my mouth. I could have taken it back to complain but I believe they won’t have believed. Sad and horrible experience

The food is always delicious however the last 2 times I have visited I have recieved terrible customer service from a youngish man working on the til. The man I have encountered before was very polite. On this occassion I was placing an order, and the man looked down at his phone playing a video, I paused, after about 30 seconds he looked up and rudely said 'i'm waiting'. We placed the order but I will not be returning during the day if this is the shift he works. Me and my partner were appaled!

Delicious noodles made quick for a good price, and that's not even including the student discount. Deceptively filling, too. The small box is still more than substantial enough to be a full meal.

Satay box is too salty. All of my friends tried it and had the same feeling. But I tried the hot box and I think it's good.

I went into this place recently to get a meal. I am a mature student and had an NUS Student discount card. They offer a student discount of ten percent but when I presented the card for my discount, the guy behind the counter, scrutinised it for at least 30 seconds turning it back and forth, then refused to accept it. He was really rude too muttering under his breath "nah". They certainly won't have my custom again. I only wish that I was able to give zero stars as I would.

Best noodles ever. Especially the combo box . I'm literally driving 15 miles to buy this food. Since I tried this place I feel sick only looking at noodles fr somewhere else.

I thoroughly enjoyed eating here, whatever the friendly services or tasty foods. As a Cantonese, the feeling like eating in my hometown. Btw, if it can offer breakfast from 7 a.m to 9 a.m, it will be more suitable for somebody I think.

Got a large combo box. Total rip off. Just a bunch of noodles and no meat. Got 1 prawn, 1 chicken and 1 beef trimming with barely any vegetables. Then the cherry on the cake, got diarrhoea within 4 hrs of eating it. Oodles down the road is better with a good meat:carb ratio for the same price.

Their food use to be good 9yrs ago (2013) when I was here so I was keen on trying it again (2022)! Still good but surely not as good. Customer service is terrible now sadly. Atimes the food is even either too salty or not salted...seems they are not paying much attention to their quality and standards..

Noodles are ok but they seem to have a problem not understanding NOT SPICY,feels more like you can ask but they will do it the way they want to,because they know better....

Friendly staff and order on time, Mee Gee was so spicy we couldn't eat it. Unfortunately there was no mention of that on the description like others. Thai red curry was not spicy at all so not sure what happened there. Lesson learnt on my side lol

I don't eat here but my work colleagues have me pick the up lunch every Tuesday. If you like rice or noodle boxes you'll like Mc Noodle king.

Their chicken is halal and the Satay box is awesome.

Would advise cooking the food nearer to time I chose to avoid food being tepid.

Amazing food for amazing prices. Honestly, probably the best Chinese food in Huddersfield. You can customise any of the boxes too. Only downside is you have to remember to take cash with you as its cash only.

We normally love McNoodle King, the food is great. However on this occasion the food was actually quite poor with little taste and the extras we paid for were not added to the dishes. Will still return again to give them another chance as it’s usually good, but this time it was poor.

Love their noodles. Their chicken is halal. So if you are looking for a halal option you can get the combo box with chicken for 4.99 pounds.I believe they have some offers for students as well. The seating area is not very well, but you can eat inside.

I'm loathe to leave a 2 Star review for this restaurant as the food is excellent after ordering numerous times where it's always been piping hot and tasty. However, on this occasion Deliveroo has seriously let them down. The delivery time continually extended, which I know can sometimes happen. But, the food delivered was clock cold and the delivery rider begged me, at my front door, with hands clasped like he was praying, for a tip! I have never, ever known that and it made me feel extremely uncomfortable and angry after paying £2.99 for delivery and after I also tipped the restaurant! Absolutely fuming

This company makes money by selling you ‘noodle boxes’ that are literally 96-97% noodle and 3-4% veg+meat. Don’t believe me? I was so astonished that I decided to weigh and photograph the food! 1 x large green Thai chicken curry noodle box (£6.90) contained <1kg noodle, 30g broccoli and 0g chicken. Maybe they made a mistake and forgot the chicken? 1x Large mixed meat satay (£6.90) contained <1kg noodle and 34g meat, 3g spring onion, 1g egg and 1g carrot (thats one small piece of carrot!). That’s a ratio of 25:1 On the plus side the prawn crackers were ok.

Love a Mc Noodle King. Their not quite two for Tuesdays make it pretty great value for money. The only thing I've definitely noticed. The seasoning on the KT box has changed and it's pretty tame now. Bring back the spice. It needs to earn those little red chilli's next to its name.

I think the cook have changed recently as the taste significantly underperform and became horrible. Honestly I don't think anyone expect the Satay Box is super sour. They waste me almost 7 pounds......
