Shinwari in Bradford

We were regular customer but from past few months it's disappointing us. Last time we visited for breakfast. Ordered nihari, paya & chana. Nihari is totally look.like meat in water, paya was so tasteless and finally we eat only chana. There were too much soda in naan. I think chef is changed now and now we definitely not gonna try it again

I been to this place few times and I really loved it. Food is banging service is excellent.

Ordered kabuli palau. Got kajus Palau. Meet was perfect small portion and the rice had nothing on it. I couple pieces of carrots and Raisens. Could of been much much better. We payed for it. We didn't get it for free.

Good fresh food. Personally, I think it just needs a little renovation & and makes it more family-friendly

ordered chappal kebab and he gave me unhygienic and old one which caused food poison will never eat from there... Updated Now you call it fake review -here i upload pictures of chappal kebabs i ordered totally disgusting and horrible experience these kebabs were old, sickening ,sour in taste which caused food poisoning and rather than admitting you trynna blame customers

I regret to say that my recent dining experience at shinwari restaurant Restaurant left much to be desired. While the service was passable, the food fell short of expectations. The dishes lacked flavor and freshness, and some even seemed reheated or stale. Presentation was lackluster, and portions were smaller than anticipated for the price. Overall, I was disappointed with the quality of the cuisine and wouldn't recommend this establishment to fellow diners seeking a satisfying culinary experience.

Today I went to get kabli pilau I'm so shocked this is what they call kabli pilau paid 12 pound had zeera and the lamb shank was boiled clearly have no sense how to make it I suggest go to Birmingham taste of kyber alum rock road see what actual kabli pilau is and alot people would eat anything in bradford some don't have sense I ws told from cuzns which said good discusted

Alhamdulillah we open Fasting. Excellent customer service. All food was delicious and freshly made. Ali bahi always welcome us with a big smile. All workers are very polite and friendly. Definitely I recommend this place for Charsi karahi, chapal kabab, lamb chops and kabuli palaho. Just hard to find parking. There is parking around on the back streets

We went from Middlesbrough to Bradford to taste namak mandi Karahi but We were really disappointed by the taste . Smell of lamb in the Karahi ..Too much salt in the Fish fry.... Just charsi Karahi was reasonable upto some extent. No value for the money especially when you travel 2 hours for the food.

Restaurant Staff is very professional clean and tidy, Floor is always clean and washrooms is just unbelieveable clean like new with good fragnace in it soap every thing is avaliable in it. The main facilty i found is the prayer place in a safe side suitable for mens and womens. Food is halal and an in Asian style taste you will find in all dishes..

Food taste and service was awesome we ordered a full lamb with rice. It was awesome.

I found it underwhelming, bland and overpriced, disappointing as some friends of mine swear by it. Really need to question those friendships. Drove an hour to have such a meal, but grateful that we filled our bellies Alhamdulillah. Will not be back. Ordered the Kabuli Pilau with Shank Mixed Grill Chicken Namak Mandi Naan Drinks

Poor service. Didn’t really know what I wanted and had to wait ages for someone to serve me. When they did they didn’t help with menu or anything. Ordered the kebab which was far too much for one. Not sure what it was either tasted ok. The nan bread was nice.

I ordered lamb shank kabuli pulao rice online and it was ready to collect quickly. The food was delicious. The rice was well spiced with a pleasant aftertaste and the lamb fell off the bone as it should. I am very happy with every aspect of the food and service.

We came long away from Nottingham for break fast and dinner really enjoyed the food , staff is very co operative food is just awesome.

The restaurant serving breakfast was empty at 9:30am, this should've been a sign! The food was bland, the Paya looked like it had been cooked over a week ago and the channey were probably the worst I ever tasted. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THIS PLACE! YOU WILL BE DISSAPOINTED!

We've been a loyal customer of this restaurant for three years, making the drive from south to north just to indulge in their delicious Lamb Charsi Karahi. However, during my recent visit last week, I noticed a slight change in taste which left me wondering if there's a new chef in the kitchen. Despite this I must commend the impeccable service, cleanliness and attentive staff. Overall, it's still a top-notch dining experience deserving of five stars.

Had afghani pilau with lamb shank absolutely brilliant taste and portion size. Lamb chops and chapali kebab were also very very tasty. My family loved it. Would highly recommend. Staff are always there if you need anything. 5* all the way.

Enjoyed our meal thoroughly!! Authentic afghani cuisine which me and my husband love so much.. We called 10 minutes before walking in to make a booking and a gentleman answered politely and promised me within a time frame to be seated. Though the waiting area can become very crowded which means people hovering over tables that patrons are already seated at and trying to enjoy Thier delicious meal.. Fresh, piping, finger licking food is served quickly without much wait. We ordered the namak mandi lamb karahi. Do try their kahwa (tea) too, its lovely to have after a hefty meal!!

We have tried Shinwari Restaurant for the first time and it was awesome. Food taste is extremely great, we have tried Chicken Reshmi kabob and Lamb Nimak Karahi. Both were well cooked and extremely delicious. Above all service is exceptional, we were served by Kashaf, she was extremely professional and made our experience memorable. We definitely recommend who love authentic Shinwari.

I heard from an Uber driver that there was a nice halal restaurant in Bradford called Shinwari and that I should check it out. Since he was very nice, I decided to take up his offer and bought a train ticket from Leeds to Bradford. Although it was raining that day, I do not regret coming at all. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were very nice, especially one who I met whose name is Baca. The lamb was so soft and tender, it came off easily from the bone. I really liked the lamb karahi with the naan. I recommend everyone to come over and enjoy the food here, especially if you're coming in big groups. Lunch is served from 1pm onwards, so I recommend to eat either during lunch time or dinner time.

Tried this place for the first time but definitely not the last . Truly impressed by their mouthwatering dishes . The murgh malai is by far the best of the best ever to be found anywhere . Try them you will not be disappointed that’s a guarantee. Truly worthy of 5 stars.

Don’t order from the website as this place don’t fulfil the offers on their website , i said then you need to update the website and the owner said no he doesn’t Secondly the food was cold updates say food will be ready in 50mins, I got to the takeaway 10mins before this 50mins and the food was already packed and awaiting

Kawa (Tea) , Except that kawa the food was tasteless. Qabli pillao was average, Charsi Karahi not even touch the real Charsi karahi , Chapli kebab was half cooked . Please improve the food . Its bring bad name to real Pashton foods . Service was excellent.....

WOW!! That's all I can say. The Best Nihari and Channey in the whole of Bradford. I have ate from a lot of places but this truly gave me the Taste of Pakistan. The Kebab was so delicious and Charsi Karahi was on Point. Mashallah the food is Fresh and Tasty and Something Different from the Rest. Well done Shinwari. Truly Amazing 👏👏

this is what happens when you Amalgamate inexperience with average/poor ingredients. What are the first things I normally assess is The quality of salad and accompanying sources. Suffice is to say that neither Ticked anything beyond an average. The service was appalling to saybtgr least. This is not an experience that I wish to repeat, so unless we suffer an all out global catastrophe and food becomes an impossible commodity, I will be back

This place is amazing, best Chapli kebab we have ever had. So flavourful, they were so good that after dinner we got some to take away as well! We also ordered a whole lamb for a family party and it was delicious, amazing taste, great portions and the rice and salad it came with were excellent. I cannot recommend this place hughly enough, great food, friendly staff and cozy atmosphere.

Good Afghani restaurant. Ordered Mutton Karahi, Mutton Tikka and Qabli pulao. Tikka was dry. Not typical Afgani. Qabli pulao was far from Afgani taste. Mutton Karahi was best among all. Cooked by Chief Chef Mr Iqbal. Prices are fine. Quality is okay. Quantity is good for Karahi. Half kilo Good for 2 people. Afghani green tea was available which was good in taste. There is good room for improvement in terms of food taste and quality. Service was excellent. Parking around the restaurant, free after 6. Takes cash and card.

Heard amazing things about this place and they are all TRUE! Ordered the kabli pilau which came with a lamb shank that was literally falling off the bone - so soft and the flavour of the rice was divine! Filling portion for one and enough to share as 2 if you order other things off menu. The masala fish was some of the best I’ve ever had, ever. No fishy smell at all, just soft and flaky, great spices used and not greasy. The naans were definitely freshly made, perfect combo with the masala fish, the salad and mint sauce/chutney. Chapli kebabs were also great, great portion size and having them with the naan, salad , sauces were sooo good. Will definitely be coming here REGULAR! Got 3 drinks too and it came to £29.50 Theres traditional afghani tea for 50p too, a really nice refreshing taste - got a cardamom taste if you dont mind that but thats the tradition. The service is good, nice and friendly and easy to get their attention as they’re always alert for the customers. Atmosphere is homely, nothing extravagant in decor but they’ve got some booths in the back, perfect for families. - Came back again for their breakfast and tried the channa and Nihari with paratha. Enjoyed the channa but felt like more desi flavour/spices were needed, felt a little bland only tasting the chickpeas. The nihari was so soft and the gravy with it wasn’t spicy at all. Taste more like a meat stew/soup sort of thing. Meat was nice but I wasn’t feeling any desi spices to it at all unfortunately. - Came back a third time to try their new tawa menu. Tawa for 3 people cost £40 which was overpriced for the amount they gave. On the menu it said “chicken curry, lamb curry, …. Etc” but the waiter said you can only choose either chicken or lamb. Why is it included in the description when you dont offer it? Dont get me wrong, the lamb curry was amazing but the portion was NOT FOR THREE PEOPLE. Definitely for 2 people. It was 3 seek kebab, 3 small chicken boti, 3 small fish pakora, 3 chapli kebabs (not chunky, they flattened it out to make it look big!!!) and chips and nan - How do you offer 1 naan in a tawa for THREE????? If another curry was included, then fair enough. Other tawa places give more curry and a larger portion on a tawa priced at £40. Lower the price or increase the portion. (Also, prices have gone up by a couple quid here n there)

we paid 40 quid for that tawa thing it looked good. I liked the presentation, but everything else was really disappointing because i heard a lot about this place, but it's not worth it that tawa only comes with one curry nice, but the portion was way too small for 3 people to share and for the amount that we've paid. Starters were tasteless and cold, and the guy who took our order he didn't know anything about taking orders or explaining them he was completely lost they didn't even bothered to ask us about the food. horrible experience

We had the lamb kerahi with Nan. Lamb was so tender and perfect. The Mango lassi was a 2/5 compared to what I had in the past.

Visited this restaurant again as its a family favourite now, the service is second to none, great atmosphere and very reasonably priced. They have started offering a tawa for 2/3/4 people and the portion sizes are amazing. The food is all freshly made and you can taste the freshness the masala fish was so soft inside and the batter was lovely and crispy, I loved the Kabuli Pulao rice and Seekh Kebabs. A must try. They also give a really nice green tea to finish the meal.

The food was not fresh and it was not grilled either. Food was fried up when it says on the menu grill. Never again.

Recently ordered Chapli kebab portion to take out and on arrival at home found it really greasy, rang in to tell them and either the manager or staff answered the phone, when told him the issue he said what do I want him to do about it, well what you do about it is upto you but at least provide some solution or perhaps a simple acknowledgement of it, he said they replace oil each day which i don't doubt but there are many reasons why it could of been dat greasy perhaps the oil wasn't got enough etc I don't know, any ways food is normally decent i am a regular here so don't let thi review put you off, customer service is normally good I'm being generous with sore because they are normally decent if it was my 1st time visiting same scenario id of scored them less
