Fantastic service with a menu reasonably priced . Also the most important thing which is the food a fantastic choice and tasted amazing . We will be going back again when we stay in Bradford in December .

Food not enough warm, ordered 2 h before.. driver still late.. disappointed of order...

Cold and tasteless food. Roti was harder than stone. Lamb chop felt they cooked 2 weeks ago(dry and tastless). Worst food ever

We came to this restaurant yesterday. We ordered the lassagne and the nihari. The lassagne was very delicious. My husband said that the nihari is the best nihari he has tasted at any restuarant so far. The staff were very polite. The restaurant decor was beautiful to be honest. The place was a little empty, but it might be that more people came later on once we had left. I would recommend going as the food was really tasty

Travelling all the way from London, I was very pleased with Lahori Gate and the quality of their authentic panjabi cuisine. The food up North is made with love and to a way better standard. Everything was delicious, and the restaurant was nicely decorated. Lamb Karahi and Kebabs were amazing. Service was bad (forgetting to give my cutlery and tissues), especially considering we were the only ones in the restaurant at the time, but I’ll give the waiter the benefit of the doubt.

Giving two stars as the food was good but the rest of our visit wasn't great. Firstly walked into a pure empty restaurant (though the decor was nice) wandered about wondering if they were open until the guy in the back eventually acknowledged us. He was polite once we were seated and ordering however we were told no diet soft drinks as they were waiting for a delivery so I just had water, then told there was no paneer for the curry but thankfully that was then changed to be told there was. Mains came, my friend's had chicken in when she'd ordered a vegetarian curry. She told the server and he quickly rectified it and was polite and apologetic and then brought us each a mocktail after too which was a nice gesture. The food we had was really nice. Then it came to paying - we asked for the bill and he just told us the total which in hindsight should definitely have asked for the receipt. Then it was can only take cash as card machine not working, which we weren't told upon arrival. Couldn't bank transfer and neither of us had cash, almost didn't have a card for the card machine either but "luckily" my friend had hers in her car. So then we had to schlep out following his directions to St Luke's Hospital to get cash out to then drive back and give it to him which was just a bit stressful when unexpected tbh and felt like one thing after another. Pickle tray (about £4), shared pilau rice and garlic naan (about £6 for both), a coke and two main dishes (£8.95 each on menu) came to £42.50. We ended up paying £40 as he mustn't have had change from the £50 we'd drawn out so just gave me a tenner back which seemed like a nice gesture until driving home after our show we realised we'd definitely been overcharged, can only assume for the replaced meal after their error or the complimentary drinks we thought were to apologise for it. Didn't realise at the time as it was really stressful trying to sort payment as we had timed things to get to our show at the Alhambra and the faff of trying to pay just delayed things so we felt rushed. Disappointing after wanting to visit thinking it looked nice from the outside, understand why it was dead on a Friday evening now and wouldn't recommend.

Great food here, traditional well cooked and really tasty. Obviously halal. We were a big party (40+) and we were well looked after although service was slow but the food was great. Good value. Will definitely visit again.

Ordered ‘Melted Nachos’ The nachos were not melted. I told the guy, he brought it back & the nachos were burnt. The mix grill was not fresh. The seekh Kebabs were sweet & had a rubbery texture to them. They had no Diet Coke, no Sirloin Steak as advertised on the menu. The decor of the place is good & well designed. But the Food is Mid! Spent £100. Was not worth it at all.

Opening time is not accurate so call them to see if they are open. Usually open from 5pm. Preparation is slow and the service is very lazy as a drink order takes more than 10 minutes to be served while the restaurant is empty. Food quality is average but the prices are reasonable. I would like to come back again only if they were quick enough.

Couldn’t find an option for 0 star. No wonder they have a just eat online ordering link on top of this page. When they have only one waiter and one worker in the kitchen then they have to find a way to pay these poor lads wages. Now let’s talk about our visit today. Use to go there before when the service was absolutely crap due to the fact they only employed students (females) who never used to listen to their managers. The boss ( one of the partners sons) would only sit in the corner room with his laptop and suddenly come out and run around the tables and booths without even asking the customers anything or even enquiring if the customers are happy or not. The food was greasy but ok as I believe they had a good permanent chef. They used to be very busy as almost the restaurant used to be full. Even then they were very overpriced. When o was sat with my family experiencing their service I had doubt that this restaurant would stay that busy as No customers could be seen happy. That was some 5-6 years ago. I had my guests today when I thought I’d visit Lahore gate once more hoping that they made guy have improved. It was absolutely shocking. We were the only table (party) in the restaurant and the food took nearly 40 minutes to arrive. One waiter took around 20 minutes to finish serving and the Nan breads were burnt and tangy. Don’t know when the Nan dough was prepared and put in fridge. There were children who ordered kids meal such as kids chicken and chips and were given Chicken boti tikka (spicy) and chips. Children couldn’t eat anything. Other foods we ordered. Don’t really want to go in details as it’s never ending. In short, most of us having stomach ache. It’s time they shut their doors and let someone else take over with a different name as it happened before couple of times . Get ready to say goodbye lads cz your time is coming up, especially for those ignorant lazy owners ..I remember Shareef ,use to be the owner.. a very good person who knew how to run a restaurant but the two young lads will be closing it soon

Went today at lahori gate for my friend’s daughter birthday party, we were about 40 people food was alright but service was too slow. some people went back home because of the slow service and they charged too much. it was prebooked by us but service was bad. never gonna recommend it to someone:(

Went with my family for a birthday meal. The service was ridiculous. So slow. Had kids with us. Requested thier meals to be bought first but that took forever too. NEVER again. Only go if you have hours to spare....

Worst experienced i have ever had. Came with family and special needs child and we waited 2.30 hours still food was not ready we ended up leaving without food. Simply short staff...it was not super busy at all. Very disappoiting. Wont be trying it ever again.

It was really good I loved the inside decorations We had a family wedding and went there for a little function, for tea and starters. Then we went to the main wedding hall. This lahori gate was booked before hand for 100 people I had good experience Everyone enjoyed it

I went with my grown up daughter. It has a good sized car park and is easy to find at the bottom of Manchester Road. We went on a Wednesday and the place was a little deserted, apart from us and a group of Asian men (good sign if the locals eat there) The staff were attentive and helpful. Service was a little slow. Food was good but not exceptional. IMHO it seemed quite pricy at £20 each (being in Bradford) but it's probably me being old and tight. The décor inside is plush, however slightly let down by the surroundings which is obviously completely out of their control.

Fresh tasty and authentic Asian cuisine. The fish masala is the best I have had, a generous portion, and my lamb bhuna was fantastic, accompanied with fresh thick chapattis. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. I will be returning and highly recommend this restaurant.

What a very regretful visit…. Poppadoms Arrived freezing cold and tasted pre-packed. Dips x4 Were small and not so great and tasted bland. Meat Samosas x3 Again looked pre-packed and tasted foul as if the meat inside was going off and also was rock hard. Chicken Pakoras Really small portion and I mean really small but probably the best thing I ate whilst here. Chicken Karahi Large Arrived on some kind of Tawa/Tava and made to look more than was actually there by spreading it out flat, I condensed the curry together and it was less than what you get in a regular carton from a delivery. The curry itself was disgusting, the amount of fatty like Knuckles in was unbelievable and the quality was shocking. Chapatis Again arrived cold and was more like rotis. Boiled Rice Again arrived cold and we barely touched it. Honestly could not wait to get out of this place, couldn’t be messed to complain as you never know what happens in the kitchen they could spit in your next course. (That is any kitchen not just this place) This review is my honest opinion and I would not recommend going here at all. If I could put less than one star I would.

Lahori Gate is a MUST TRY restaurant. I recently visited the restaurant with my family after hearing praises about their food. The establishment's beautiful decor and ambient lighting gave this restaurant a nice and calm tone. Moving on the the food, the starters were delicious. The Kebabs were succulent and juicy. The lamb chops were tasty but the main starter I was hooked onto was the Fish, Mamma Mia! oh the Fish was absolutely delicious. For the main course we ordered a variety of dishes. My two standout dishes were the chicken bhuna and the lamb on the bone. You could tell both dishes were cooked fresh, seasoned perfectly. The herbs and spices were amazing giving both dishes amazing and unique flavours. I cant knock the vegetarian dishes, the Dhaal made at this restaurant was smashing, an absolute must try. This restaurant has a nice atmosphere, good food and good service. Hats off to the gentlemen who served us and my compliments to the chef.

Visited this place with family, was seated by children who appear to be working there, I had to reselect my food choice 3/4 times as they didn’t appear to have much available. The food was overly spicy, probably prepared the night before, terrible service, staff informed me that the owner takes their tips. Would not recommend

Quite a disaster. Even with a reserved table it took a while to get seated,only one menu on the table and waited about 10 minutes for the waiter to arrive. The place wasn't even halfway full but it was mentioned that the kitchen was "very busy" and it took a bit more than an hour for the food to arrive. Steak from the menu wasn't available and ordering an orange juice got us J2O... Other drinks were flat when served. The food itself was alright, but the experience terrible.

Told me they gave my order to the driver but never did and pocketed my money very dishonest do not use their services. I have reported them to my banks fraud team

We booked a table for 6pm to eat before going to the Alhambra, it wasn't overly busy at this time and there is a huge car park, easily accessible. Service was friendly and very efficient, our food came timely so we had eaten and were on our way by 7pm - thank you. The restaurant is clean, well maintained and beautifully decorated. The food was lovely. We started with popadoms and pickle tray then I had 'nihari' lamb (stew) and was surprised to find the lamb served on the bone ... it melted off, so tender, and was delicious in the mildly spiced sauce. Wish I'd taken a photo but I just couldn't resist getting stuck in! Hubby ordered chicken jalfrezi which was gorgeous. Will definitely visit again, and we recommend as a very convenient and reasonably priced option for pre-theatre dinner!

Table of 7 booked on a Sunday. The most slowest service I have recieved at a restaurant ever. The waiters would come to the table take my request and disappear into thin air. We arrive at 6:30 the waiter had taken our order at 6:40 and the started arrived at 7:15 the mains arrived at 8pm. It was pathetic. We ordered a pickle tray at the beginning and the pickle tray nor popadoms arrived. I would not recommend this place to anyone. If you have been recommended this place please do not go and go somewhere better.

The retaurant has parking and excellent decor inside. It's really a nice restaraunt however, the one staff member that is the waiter is not good at customer service - he is there just because he has to be - this should not be obvious. The music played is stupid and if they want to improve the ambience they should consider perhaps some background cafè tune or ibiza style saxophone music quietly playing - what they have is loud and weird. The food is all brought out at once which means everything has to be eaten quickly or eaten cooled down and this is unnecessary especially when a customer specifies that they want starters and then mains. The curry dish we had was extremely sweet and just looked re-heated from days ago. The grill on the other hand is nice and everything else we had in the starters are good. We shall not be returning but have provided some constructive feedback - if this is how the restaurant continues with customer service, they will lose custom unfortunately - much like they have now lost us. Please try harder with paying customers - they deserve a better experience - we felt like an inconveniance and won't be letting that happen again. Missed opportunity for repeat custom.

Went today after a while and had booked for my little cousins birthday party. Decor and location is really good and comfortable surroundings and staff are friendly. The lamb karahi and naan and tandoor roti was nice and tasty but was cold and not much masala but it was nice. The starters were all piping hot and delicious. Very poor in terms of what was available on the menu and what wasn’t, also baring in mind having a small menu as it is we was told they dont do beef burgers or sirloin steak anymore so that was two options out the equation. We was going to order lassi 2 x mango and 1 sweet only to be told they haven’t got any sweet lassi today, so that was fine they comped the sweet lassi and gave us a extra complementary mango one instead, but the lassi was lumpy and tasted weird hardly any mango flavour and it wasn’t sweet atall. Secondly as you can see from the pictures we was given a cremated chicken steak with charred garlic bread, come on guys who sent that out from the kitchen? Its very unacceptable to serve food of this standard to your customers, the chef should know better then to send food out which looks like that. Biryani although tasty unfortunately it was stone cold so only managed two spoonfuls of it the side mash potato for other chicken steaks were cold, the portion size of the lasagna was tiny but it tasted nice. There was another function on today which the staff attended to more then other tables ours included and although I know they were understaffed tonight the staff kept using the other function as a excuse for our mains being 30min late, also staff were not really attending our table or checking if our food was okay and also were not well informed as to what they did and didn’t have left in the kitchen. All in all even tho this time wasn’t our most enjoyable experience, the owner and staff did comp and take items off the bill which we were not happy with, the owner and the owners brother were very apologetic and didnt have any quibbles comping or adjusting the bill they also offered us free ice cream or desserts to take home. The service by the owner i cant fault very nice chap and was very sorry and did make up for the poor experience by comping items.

First time at Lahori Gate, stunning decor and attentive staff. Food was pleasant, fresh and well flavoured, however paneer tikka could be improved. A little expensive but great atmosphere especially for party or family.

First time here and it was beautiful and classy looking on the inside. Food was good- overdo it with the onions and peppers in their Chinese stir fry/chow meins. Dessert menu is currently getting an overhaul and what they had to offer was not great- tasted stale and just odd. Service was okay, looked like they had a new member being trained tonight but it was very quiet albeit two large tables that were there for birthdays and we had to keep asking for things to be done as there were no waiters when needed. Overall it was a 3 star rating from me and my friends and we don't know if we would come back again.

Good decor. Starters was good the main 1/2kg lamb on the bone was very dry. The service is the slowest I have ever seen with only 1 waiter. Probably slugs can do a faster service.

A great find, just off a main road into Bradford. Beautiful inside, used, it seems, by the local Indian redirects. The service was excellent, the food very nice, good portions and a good choice of dishes. For a real authentic Indian meal I recommend this restaurant.

Avoid Avoid Avoid This place is the worst restaurant in the whole of Bradford. I wish you all the unsuccess in your business. To feed people that sort of food and provide a horrible customer service you need to be shut down. My reccomendation is you happen to pass this place just keep going and under no circumstances go inside

Quite disapointed went there first time 2 weeks ago....it says open 3pm ....we waited until 4pm still was closed...and was really looking forward to the meal ....what time does this place actually open?

I have never been here before but yesterday night i came here with my uncle and brothers for iftaari and all i can say is Wow Lahori Gate is one of if not the best restaraunt i have been to.  The staff was amazing,  very polite and courteous and super attentive despite it being very busy. The manager checked on us multiple times and even sat down at our table to thank us at the end of our meal! The food is also outstanding! the dishes we had were amazing. The prices are very reasonable , You cannot go wrong with anything.. Lahori Gate was absouloutly beautifull inside and out, i would highly recommend this place as  it's the best place to go with your family and friends Massive Thank you to everyone for an out of the world experiance i will definatly be coming back with my family and friends..  Hope to see you soon I wish you all every success and hapiness... Went here today for first time to open fast and what a stunning place we were greeted by friendly attentive staff, seated quickly, when it was iftar we were fetched, water with fruit in,a bowl with pieces of orange,apple,strawberries and dates and then a strawberry milk drink all free 😀 we then had a mixed grill, and then a lamb curry the food was amazing and staff were brilliant, will definitely be coming back, thank you for making our time special
