I waited ages for my starter and the customers who arrived after me were being served after a total of 50 minutes my main course had still not arrived so I paid for my starter and left without so much as an apology from the server Won’t be going there again so it’s their loss as I will go to my regular place

Hidden gem, like a throwback to the 80s free chapatis or nan or rice with the meal, generous portions at reasonable prices and great quality indian food.

I have been using the rajpoot for years I have spent thousands on takeaways. The last straw was 18th May 2024 . I ordered my girlfriends curry and I got chicken tikka on the bone it was obviously a warm up leftover from the previous day or it might as well have been. It was inedible sawdust. Fool me once shame on you. I won't order again

I had booked a table for a birthday meal for 7pm when I had arrived they had told me they had over book and patronised me I swifty told them that isn't my problem and that they should have respected the fact it was a birthday meal staff were verry rude and didn't seam to want to help at all

An amazing hidden gem! I have personally frequented this restaurant for 20+ years and can guarantee that it provides the best curry around. If you would like an AMAZING meal and some FANTASTIC service look no further than Rajpoot restaurant, it really is the best.

The restaurant was really dirty, the service was slow and the food was terrible. Naan bread was both stale and cold. I also found 3 hairs in separate dishes which were definitely not mine!

Wednesday 24th April 2024 Today, I used this excellent Shipley curry house. I had a mixed Kebab starter picture on the website for 6.50 and a chicken and prawn masala for masala This great meal, including 3 chapatis, is less than 16 pounds 70 p This place is my essential visit when I have a curry in Shipley now👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Nice food but a very rubbish service, every month lads get together and try different curry places, today recommendation was RAJPOOT picked by 1 of the lads They was 7 of us today, Starters took over 1 hour to be served, then a further 30/40 mins for the mains, overall poor experience.. YOU CANNOT BRING YOUR OWN ALCOHOL... instead you after pay £2.60 for a 300ml bottle of coke/pepsi... You are also not able to switch any of the food out on the menu, some of us didnt like some of the stuff on the mixed starter but was told we cannot switch them to other items or extra of one we have already... The pickle tray isnt really a pickle tray, it was a couple of spicy yogurt sauces, onion tomato dip and a mango, overall experience wasn't that great, we give it a 3 out of 10 for the service but a solid 8 out 10 for the food but unfortunately the poor service means none of us will be visiting again..

Staff are an complete joke! And no respect for anyone. And their version of cleaning is putting dirty chairs on top of clean table surfaces, then mopping and putting back said chairs without cleaning the tables after. Utterly disgusting place. Never again! 😡 And as for the noise levels, what a total joke!

The restaurant itself, and the table wear are all basic, which isn't important to me anyway, however what is important is the food,and Rajpoot did not fail to deliver such delicious food. The taste and consistency of all our currys were exceptional, the side dishes and flatbreads also fresh and tasty. The staff were very polite, and the overall experience a delight, I will most certainly visit again as I enjoyed the food so much.

Had a chicken tikka masala from here omg best curry I’ve ever ever had. It can be hit and miss as we always have currys from here. But omg don’t know what chef they had on but it was absolutely beautiful 😊

Such a shame. Many years of going here and generally one of the best old style curry restaurants. Unfortunately last two visits have been way too hot. People like spicy curries to taste the spices not hot so you can’t taste them( unless of course requested) waste of money as couldn’t eat the food, couldn’t taste anything.

Cheese chicken makhani is like Campbells tinned chicken soup - watery, no flavour, no cheese in it. The chicken tikka masala is very salty! Ordered cheese naan which didn’t have any cheese on. Will never order again customer service is appalling (cold food as well) Made an order and was told it would be an hour. We waited 1 hour and twenty before ringing back. When we rang back we were put on hold for 5 minutes as he kept on asking for our address, then told us he was packing it up now and we would have to wait 50 minutes for it to get too us. When it’s a ten minute drive away. They clearly forgot about our order!!!!!. Not the first time they have done this food has also arrived cold and items have been missing. Quite frustrating when it’s costs over £35.00 for two curry’s,chips, two popadoms and a bottle of coke.

Been going here off and on for over a decade. Food is generally decent but has to be because there is so much competition in the Bradford area. Sadly what is also common with curry houses in quite a few Bradford restaurants is sullen staff who either don't want to be there, perhaps a young lad having to work in the family business, or at worst issues with your very presence that can only be known and justified by themselves. Hello! and how is your food? are good starting points and a general given at most places. Sadly you will never get this at Rajput and that is off the lead waiter who is mature in years. A face that says 'bloody hell, customers' is not what you want from a paid 'experience'. I can't help but think there is something more sinister behind this attitude. Not asking for special service just sick of feeling and being looked at like I'm the sh*t on someone's shoes before giving them money. Cancelled order and went to Sharma...probably not as good standard food but at least wanted the custom so we could relax while we ate.

We’ve tried loads of different curry restaurants in the area (and we are in the curry capital) and this is the best one by far . We have never been disappointed by the food . Quick and friendly service , restaurant is no frills but food is top notch . No reason to go anywhere else

We ate in as we were staying near by and our favourite was closed for refurbishment (Sharla). We were not disappointed, we had a great meal, the only drawback was they did not allow BYOB, but we were happy with water instead! Prices are reasonable and we will be back!

We order from Rajpoot every time we get a takeaway, it is absolutely amazing! The customer service is always phenomenal, the staff are lovely, the delivery is always on time and the food is BEAUTIFUL! my partner is allergic to nuts and they are so brilliant when it comes to allergy safety, everything is clearly labeled, they keep allergens separate and always so helpful when we call to check about an allergy order. Their website is really good too for ordering and delivery is waaayy cheaper than any other round here. Could not recommend them enough!

Order No. 944123626558 Initially I received my order and 2 items (chicken dopiaza and chip) were missing. I phoned and then you sent me what Should have been my missing items. The chips seemed ok but not great, but the dopiaza, I’m not sure it was it was as it looked like a generic sauce with dry chicken and fried onions just dumped on top. The bit I ate was not pleasant and ended up in the bin. Seems a waste of money.

We have visited on 21-Jun-2021. The food taste was awesome and the service also very good and friendly. Only small suggestion that could reduce the oil in food. Apart from this, the taste is really awesome especially fish taste is awesome. We enjoyed a lot with great food. I would suggest this restaurant for taste and price also reasonable.

Having used rajpoot for a number of years the service has seriously gone down hill. Waiting hours for delivery and things being wrong on nearly every order. Have decided never to use them again. The food was excellent just service is dire.

First time trying this takeaway and it didn’t disappoint. Chicken dopiaza was delicious and caramalised onions used which was a different touch. Value for money aswell, will definitely return!

Ordered a takeaway it took a hour and half to arrive but then when it did arrive all the food was flat cold like it had been left waiting to be delivered, we had to warm it all up in the microwave including the chips....

Having eaten here a few times in the past we thought we would give it another go tonight seeing as we were in the area and driving into Bradford didn't appeal.Worst decision of the year. To be fair the Bahji starters weren't bad, the shock was when the mains arrived, my mates keema bhuna looked like chicken mince in a thick chicken gravy. Unfortunately it didn't taste anything like a curry or chicken mince and bisto ,it was inedible and was left. My meat palack consisted of some dubious hard lumps of meat in a bazaar tasteless sauce with a few bits of what I hope was spinach.Sack the chef or close down, it's an insult to your customers to serve such appalling food.

Great place; friendly staff, food was superb especially the kofta and beef curry! Fluffiest naan ever too, and luscious mango lasso. Even the raita was delicious, lots of cumin! Toilets need some TLC but the food, atmosphere and prices are top notch. We'll be back!

I personally have slated this place before but my wife seemed to like it, but tonight has made me not want to use them again. Placed an order on phone but did not arrive and made numerous unanswered calls to enquire. Over 90 minutes after order it arrived, with the help of us looking out and showing driver where we were! They always seem to struggle to find us! The food was very poor too. A Pathia dish is supposed to be quite tangy and tasty but mine was very bland. The "salad" type sauce thing that comes (usually has onions, cucumber, tomato and sauce from other takeaway Indian food) was just a tasteless milky sauce with very few onions. The kebabs were very fatty and tasteless. This place seems to have tried the upmarket look but have gone downmarket by tonights standard. I don't think they care about reviews on here which shows you they only cater for the "after a skinfull of ale" brigade who will eat anything!

A nice and cosy little restaurant. The dishes are brilliant, very flavoursome and well cooked. Priced well, just a little let down with the menus as they are outdated, and the decor and toilets need updating. But other than that it's a place I would definitely go again, with family, as a couple or with friends. Well done. 👍

Ordered deliver of curries. Driver came was £15.10 handed a £20 to be told that he had no fivers. So we said thats all we have or in change we had £14.30 he didn't want to take either . He then tried to blame us saying we should have stated that we were paying with a 20 when we ordered. Im sorry i have never known a delivery person not carry change and i will not be blamed for that. I am not a mind reader the company should state when ordering that the drivers do not carry change and that the correct amount is prefered . I would.like to point out that we were not told how much the bill was when ordering so again we are not mind readers. The driver then stated he would check his car and funnily enough re appeared with £5 note even tho he told me he had none. Funny that ! He then tried again to blame me for not stating i was paying with a 20 pound note. I shut the door on him because of his attitude . He continued to talk through the door so opened it again to tell him to.leave . He then got aggressive and started to walk away whilst saying not to order from them again . I asked him to repeat so he said don't order again witj what sounded like abuaive language . As i stated to him i do have recording equipment with a sign stating this . I will be reporting him because i refuse to be spoke to and treated in this manner.on my front door because he had no change (even tho he actually did ) .i phone the restaurant up and was told "i know your p***ed about it but ill have a word with him i think i know who it is .but please dont tell me about social media as i had mentioned i will be reviewing on social media and other review platforms. Shocking behaviour of delivery driver who was rude and abusive because he failed to carry change and we only had £20 note for a £15 order. At no point during this or previous ordering have we been told that only exact change will be accepted so the fault lies with the driver not the customer. Driver had to be told to leave the property because he would not stop the abuse even with small kids in the property who were left upset and shaken by his behaviour. Food was cold after the time it took for the driver to leave the property. Phoned up to complain, restraunt not interested at all. Avoid.

First time ordering from this place although the food was nice it was cold and unfortunately I can’t eat my food cold especially chips the curry was luke warm, delivery was 1 hrs 20 minutes instead of 50 minutes I guessing maybe the delivery driver got lost I’d probably try again as the food itself was nice, I’ve given a 3 as this was a average but the food a 4 and the service a 2 if that helps

Best curry’s and best staff the curry’s are amazing can’t ever fault this place, it’s a small place but I would say best in Bradford

Don’t waste your time going anywhere else

Visited this place twice with friends on rec of a work colleague.. The trip advisor reviews were very mixed and the place looks in need of a makeover. However, Rajpoot is a gem of a discovery for good old fashion home tasting curries which Bradford was once famous for.

I am a regular customer of raj poot because the quality of the food and the service are both superb. The takeaway service is also great and they deliver to me in baildon regularly

A friend recommended that I try Rajpoot as he believed that the food there tasted like no other restaurant he'd been to, or ordered takeaway from.

I went to the Rajput last night to pick up a korma for my daughter (4th May). Took it home for her only to find the most anemic disgusting load of slop I’ve ever seen.

Well priced decent curry with a family atmosphere. Very polite service - sometimes have to wait when busy but this feels okay.

BEWARE DO NOT PAY BY CARD!! we paid by card, only for them to say my card had been declined, re issued my card for payment again... only to find out later in the week that I had actually been charged twice. Having used this restaurant on a number of occaisions I thought I would call in and they would just give me back my money. I took along a starement from my bank to prove the error, for them to dissmis it saying it isn't their fault, telling me that this had happened to a number of other customers and that it was because I do on line banking! No apology, just rude to the point of arrogance! Now taking it up with the bank. It really is a good curry, and such a shame that the way they handled this means that we shall never go back!

Went early on Sunday evening and the place was already half full. Ordered onion bhaji and chicken Phall, but was told Vindaloo was the hottest dish they do. After some playful negotiating we agreed on a Vindaloo +++. Bajhis came and were wonderful, crisp on the outside and lovely and juicy in the middle with plenty of mint yoghurt. Then came the main course which was great, loads of chicken and although a little on the mild side for my particular palate, was amongst the tastiest curries I've had and I've been at it almost 40 years. Having lived in Shipley in the 1999’s, I was passing through and thought I’d visit Rajpoot for old times’ sake. I was not disappointed.

No frills basic curry house in Shipley. Starters were excellent especially the onion bhajis crisp on the outside and succulent on the inside, whilst the sheek kebabs were meaty and tender. Mains of keema bhuna were of decent portion sizes and tasty. Breads consisting of a plain naan and chaphatis were fresh. A very decent traditional West Yorkshire curry house and good value for money

My only negative point on this excellent establishment would be that the portions are impossible for one person to eat. The more positive point is that they are more than happy to box up what you can't manage to take away and eat later. Bring your own booze.

Ordered our first delivery order ever which took 1:30 hours to arrive. driver apologised for the lateness of the order as he had been unable to find us. When opened unlabelled bag it was cold and not even our order.

The main I had (Mixed Balti) was top quality, meat was good and the sauce taste was nice too. I also got a keema naan which was something I'd never had before and this was also of decent quality. A few other points away from the main dish though let this meal down for me. First of all the starter was of very poor quality, I ordered on-the-bone chicken tikka but it was basically a chunk of hard dry meat with no taste and no sauces offered to soften it at all. Secondly on the food side is that we had poppadoms at the start but they just brought out one tub of sauce rather than most curry places where you will get a pallet with maybe 3-4 different dips to try. Lastly a big aspect which you notice as soon as you walk through the door is the poor decor; the restaurant and also toilets could do with a bit of DIY. If I was judging just by the main course it would be a higher mark but these other aspects let it down a bit.

Nice food and pretty consistent

Went for a meal with friends for the first time here as it was recommended to us. Must say it was very traditional, the food was excellent and the staff were great. Will definitely be going back with family. Defo recommend.
