I dine at at this restaurant for the food first and foremost :-) however Sammi is a legend at this place and always looks after me and adds that personal touch that makes this establishment so special for me. Hammem looked after me and was superb to every detail and nothing was too much trouble, he remembered i preferred the Booth table and he sorted it straight away.

First time ever at Akbars tonight and well what can I say apart from it was absolutely fantastic food, just like my partner had told me. Our waiter for the evening was Hamza. What an amazingly polite young man he was. He was rushed off his feet serving everyone, but still very attentive. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

Been coming to Akbar’s for years now and the service has always been good however our last visit as a family a young man called Hameem took care of us and made us feel like the restaurant was ours. Amazing lad keep up the service.

Ordered 2 starters and other few main dishes, but gotta say lambs chops, king prawn tikka was to dry! And got asked if I wanted a pickle tray or not? I mean if you going to serve starters am sure you would give some sort of souces and salad to go with it, otherwise how would you eat so dry. Cheeky thing was I got charged for the pickle tray LOL WHY??? Plus the menu was to pricey. I work in a restaurant too always give the customers salad and mint souce with the starters no matter what. Stingy that! Laters losers 🤔🤦‍♂️👎👎

Served today by Ali - fab service as always (even when we were too busy talking & didn’t order for over half hour 😂). The manager Sammy also double checked how everything was. Gave Akbars another try after being disappointed last time & so glad we did! Lovely food & great service, will defo be back!

Was welcomed and seated very quickly. Mo took our order, advised on what we should get, and made sure we had everything we wanted, and that everything was good with the food. Nothing too much trouble. Will definitely return. The food was great, but customer service makes all the difference.

I went to this restaurant frist time won't be going again Chicken wings white uncooked You couldn't even bite We spent forty-three pounds We were embarrassed to complain to them at the time but we decided we will never go back there again We're only at bits of chips on the side the chicken smells raw

Travelled from Stoke-on-Trent to Bradford mainly to see if Akhbar's "King of Curry" boast was just that a boast or if incredibly it may be by some miracle be actually true, turned out that their Chicken Karahi was on a level of it's own, pure genius, simply delicious, spicy (we asked for hot), flavoursome, tender, moorish, etc, etc, etc. Need I go on, simply the best!!! Lamb Karahi was good too, not as good as the Chicken, but hey ho, Not everything can be superb. Family Nan was absolutely lovely & just the perfect texture & easily enough for 4 of us, soft drinks were good, Mocktail was good, starters were ok; fish pakoreh batter was brilliant, fish inside was maybe too soft, too indeterminate I could not tell what type of fish it was at all, couldn't really get the traditional fish buzz that you get with fish pakoreh. Sauces were good, chips were different but good in their own way, Chapli kebab was really beautiful, simply a work of art, crispy & caramelised on the outside & soft, fluffy, flavoursome, meaty & spiced to the exact level of gorgeousness. Service by Imran was spot on, 10 out of 10, Thank-you Imran, just the right amount of checking on us & leaving us to enjoy the meal, being honest & helpful & to be honest all the staff were very polite & friendly from the reception staff to every chef / waiter / assistant. Thank-you Akhbar's for a beautiful meal. Well worth almost 3 hours driving in traffic (accident on M6) & 1 and half hours driving back. We Will Be Back 100%. (We did make a day of it & visited several places beforehand to make it a proper day trip, turns out we absolutely Love Bradford!!!). Price was £75.60 for 4 ppl in total, we would have expected to pay £90 for a similar meal in Birmingham & about £80 or so in Manchester. So best value for money too!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Went here after visiting Manchester, no comparison, full of gypsies very loud and felt rushed, my lamb shank was georgous but husbands biryani was average at best, no Alcohol!!, service was excellent though, am afraid would not go back

We went out to celebrate my Mother's Birthday yesterday at this restaurant and it was so fun! We came with a party of 6 and were served by Jamshaid who did such a great job and was such a polite guy They brought out our cake with candles on it and clapped with us, it was a great experience and I would recommend you definitely visit here!
