Diabolical. Shocking customer service. I’ve come to idle balti for years and not a single complaint to be said about them. However last night me and my partner ordered from here and we both had severe vomitting at 5am. We’ve both had to take the day off work with food poisoning and awful stomach aches. I’ve never complained to idle balti and when I called them today to discuss my concerns with the food poisoning we’ve had, it was almost rehearsed explaining that we definitely don’t have food poisoning and we are wrong? I’ve been more than understanding saying I’ve always been happy with their service and as a long term customer to be completely brushed off and loose a days worth of work it’s unacceptable. I explained £33 is a lot to pay for 2 curries along with a few sides and to then loose more money by not being able to attend work is not fair and requested a refund, to which I was told I was wrong, it wasn’t food poisoning and was thanked for my call and hung up on. With their prices going up to almost restaurant quality markings, idle balti are getting too big for themselves charging £12 for a small tin of curry and clearly think they’re better than the people who have supported them for years. Will not be going back here again and I strongly avoid others to do so as well.

Where do you get charged £12 for a Keema just plain no frills and 3 chapatis unless they come in a gold plated tin foil?? Only at IDLE BALTI my friends

Bland !both curry’s exactly the same even though one was a balti one was bhuna 😔

The food is great but the staff preparing the food in the shop keep licking their fingers to open bags and count money then continue on with the food preparation. Not hygienic at all ( please sort this out with regular hand washes or even stop licking fingers or wear food prep gloves )

I ordered my currry of choice Which is a keema spinach dipioza Which was perfectly cooked very tasty with soft coloured pilau rice And chappatis that was soft but cooked with a char reason I gave 5 stars delicious

Raw chicken in my curry I rang to complain as I'd spent over £30 on the take away for them to send another but ask for the old one back. Which was in the bin. So they took the new one back disgusting

I find the curry’s fine but very expensive so use the one that’s just as nice up the road , idle balti was 4.50 more expensive 🤔. Was only a small order just a curry ,3 chappaties and sheesh kebab so 4.50 is a lot extra on a small order .i only live 2 mins down the road , used them for years but always check price now with one up road .

Great food as always. I'd still prefer a bit less oil used...as its incredibly messy whilst trying to plate up (oil leaking during delivery etc) but great food 👍

Far too hot, asked for 1 kebab with chilli 1 with mint sauce, both came with chilli. Mine went in the bin as I couldn’t get through to you.

The Korma and curry were ok, but the Naan, Pakoras and bhajis were tasteless.

Not normally one for leaving a less positive review but unfortunately some of the food was of a poor quality especially at the prices they want to throw out there. Donner kebab meat wasn’t nice at all really, bland and quality of meat wasn’t that good. I got salad with it and it was just chopped lettuce that was soggy from the sauce, no tomato, cucumber or red onion that you would normally see. We also got the chicken tower burger, again, chicken was dry and chips were over cooked. We also got the Chicken Tikka Makhani, that curry was actually not bad from what my partner said, decent curry but I’d expect that from Idle Balti. The price for this all and also the £2.99 delivery charge that is set no matter how close we are was just over £33 - not worth that at all!

Spent £50 and every single piece of the order was bland, absolutely no flavour in anything, ordered a keema bhuna and a chicken tikka masala. Both items may as-well have been warm paste of nothing. Wouldn’t bother, will never order again, shambles

The mains were ok but starters were disappointing, they were oversized and lacking in freshness or flavour. It was a pity as we ordered before and was great... Will not use again.

Turned up a bit of a mess in the bag, oil all over the containers/packaging. Food was great as always and would order again.

Absolutely 1st class tasty meal. Wasn’t my first order and won’t be the last. Still hot on arrival. 1/2 early but not really a problem. I personally highly recommend Idle Balti for a tasty delicious and plentiful meal. Also recommend to go large which is £1.50 but well worth it. I can’t praise this takeaway highly enough.

Food was delivered twenty minutes after I received the notification of the driver setting off, even though we live two minutes away, so it was not hot. It was tasty though.

Best chips and curry I’ve ordered

The food arrived in good time, however the curry was crushed in transit so it was quite messy. Part of our order was missing which we were disappointed about & also we felt the food was overall quite bland. The samosas were good! But disappointed by the lack of flavour in the onion bhajis.

Been going here for many years and the food has always been 10/10, on this occasion I got the special mixed starter which at £9 may seem like a lot however for what you get its actually good value, great quality once again.

Chicken Byriani, Chicken Bhuna, onion Bhajis and pickle tray ordered. Arrived early which was good. Food was excellent full of flavour and cooked well i.e. Chicken still soft and not dry. We've got food from Idle Balti for some time now and it's got even better.

An item on out order was forgotten buy they credited us with no issues. Great food!

Walked into the takeaway to see a member of staff eating the actual kabab order he was preparing with his fingers and then adding more kabab meat with fingers that had just been in his mouth! He then started to wrap up the order of which I said ' I hope that's not mine!' Absolutely disgusted, I walked out without my order and won't be returning after being a regular customer for years!
