Best service I’ve ever received in a restaurant, staff were swift in a pleasant manner and I’ve never felt so looked after in a restaurant. Had drinks, starters and were asked about mains within 5 minutes of sitting down. Food was exceptional and atmosphere was perfect with excellent lighting and a smile on everyone’s face. Would recommend to all. 👍🏼

Family visit - overall good experience. Service was a bit erratic and when asked about certain dishes seemed flustered however everything we ordered was lovely with the crispy beef & salt & chilli prawns stole the show. If the staff were a bit more amenable and friendly it would be a 5* experience

The best all you-can-eat Chinese in Harrogate, hands down. If you want good quality food in unlimited quantities then go here! Seriously, I don't want to make it out that this is simply quantity over quality. The food is VERY good and everything is cooked to order and the service is quick. Literally amazing when you consider it's £20 at peak times plus a beer.

This place is probably best suited to hungry drinkers after a session. In a nutshell, the range of starters (order as much as you want), can only be described as the chef has been to Iceland and deep fried the party food. All edible but fairly bland. Tastiest, were the salt and pepper bones. After this it goes downhill fast. The mains were what tasted and looked like canned chicken in stock that had just a hint of flavour of the sauce it was pretending to be. If you are after a nice Chinese restaurant, keep scrolling

Best Chinese restaurants for my taste

Fantastic impromptu meal out when staying in Harrogate. The food was cooked fresh despite being an all you can eat. We were encourage by staff to order more initially than we did. Everything was very tasty and would not hesitate to go back if there again.

Absolutely terrible, did not catering nut allergy. Did not understand the issue. Never again. Very poor language barrier.

Seems to be the default destination of the unimaginative in Harrogate, so much so most don’t realise you can get identical food with better service for less round the corner at Cheung Won. For Imperial, the food is acceptable as it arrives piping hot and resembling what you order. However, the wait staff are brusk and somewhat cold, treating you very much like you’re an inconvenience to them, plus if they mistakenly put someone else’s dishes on your table (even if you have ordered these) they will stand there scowling at you for their mistake. Furthermore, the interior tries to exude an air of superiority, only to serve as an amplifier for every inane conversation in the restaurant; the result being a volume akin to a Prodigy concert when the place is busy, great if you wish to masticate ‘Chinese’ food whilst listening to how someone 3 tables away is suffering with their Fybromyalgia. If you get dragged here by someone else then you will get served edible food, however I would not choose to eat here.

Always happy and very fast service would recommend

We have visited Imperial Palace a couple of times now and always had an enjoyable good value meal. Whilst there isn’t a huge list of dishes to choose from, there is a good selection and plenty to keep cater for the tables different tastes. The mixed starter is a good place to start and the supplement for the duck is worth paying. Would certainly recommend on the basis that it is all you can eat for under £20!

This is a great place. Recommend booking if you want a seat before 8 especially later in the week or weekend. Excellent food - despite saying smaller portions I think they were quite generous. Lovely serving staff. Ask for chopsticks and bowls - not a knife and fork!!!

Really nice place, A good all you can eat restaurant and the great thing is you don't have to leave your table for about £21.50 per person. Would recommend.

Wonderful place for a meal in Harrogate. We walked in on the off chance without a reservation, and although busy, we were seated immediately. Fast service from very attentive staff. It's a buffet restaurant with a difference. Rather than going up to the food area and filling your plate, you are seated and served with whatever you want from the menu for a reasonable fixed price. We were encouraged to order more than one starter each and offered more than one main meal each, too! I can't remember exactly how much it cost per person, but I know it was under £20 each. This, of course, didn't include drinks, which were also reasonably priced. The food itself was all excellent. The mixed starter platter is fantastic for a little taste of a lot of different items. 😋 I would also recommend the chicken in black pepper sauce, which was delightful. I'd have given the atmosphere 5*'s if the tables weren't so close together, but I can't really complain because, like I said already, they were busy and still managed to fit us in.

Absolutely AWFUL! AVOID! Staff are so rude and unprofessional, rush you to get other tables seated. Food is frozen and I’ve had better Chinese meals from the supermarket. Never again!

Great service even with the group having a fussy eater (me) but I never felt I was being a burden. Each dish came out hot and perfectly cooked. Prefer this style of buffet to going up and helping yourself. The range was great and got to try some new dishes.

The all you can eat menu is absolutely delicious 😋, everything is cooked to order,the mixed starter is brilliant, there was 4 of us and usually we end up on staters and don't go on to mains. Very friendly service.

Mine and my husbands go to for take out, a bit more pricey than other options im harrogate but 100% worth it! Always fresh and good quality ingredients. I live in starbeck but it always arrives hot and correct in good time. Have eaten in a few times before and although the menu is limeted compared to the take out menu it its just as good!

We found our food in the door step. There was no knock at the door. Food is cold.

Really great food. Buffet style in that you can choose anything from the menu. Or everything! The food is delicious with a fixed price to dine and then eat as much or as little as you like. Great service, lovely atmosphere. Can be busy so best to book.

Was not just that food was late being delivered, other than acknowledging order at 17.05 no other Just Eat updates. Not even showing as an order on my App, until this today.

Revisited here after they recently obtained their 5 star hygiene rating back following their 1 star a few months ago. Food was absolutely spot on and the service was above & beyond, with the staff able to have banter for a change. Will definitely be going back.

Won Ton soup meat was full of gristle and had to spit a third of it out on my plate. Awful to be fair, and binned it. Chicken and OK sauce was nice.

Group outing to Yorkshire, came across this fantastic restaurant that exceeded all expectations and more. Had to return another night and would highly Recommend. We will definitely be returning again. So close to The Crowne Plaza.

Ok meals and good value on the £19 all you can eat meal offer. Smaller portions but decent options. Singapore Noodles were very good.

The Imperial Palace is a great Chinese restaurant. We went for an all-you-can-eat buffet which they do on Monday to Thursday evenings for £19 per person and it was great value for money. We were in a (booked) party of 18 and they were happy to make room for an additional 3 people at the last minute. Very rapid service too, which can be a problem with large parties.

Excellent Chinese buffet food - staff were fantastic and food was too.

After reading the reviews I was expecting less than welcoming staff nd good food. We visited as a family of seven and we have not got a single complaint. The food fresh and tasty, the staff were efficient and nice. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Absolutely superb meal here tonight - booked for 5:30 and what a great dining experience. Warm welcome, excellent service and superb food, beautifully cooked in perfect portions. First time here and we will definitely come back. The restaurant was fully booked with staggered diners so everyone could receive the best service. Definitely worth a try - you won’t be disappointed 👍

Wrong order. Ordered ribs and you sent me chips instead.

The family love visiting this restaurant. There us a set price then the customer can order anything off the menu. The food is then served within minutes. We have eaten here half a dozen times and never been disappointed. Authentic Chinese food, which tastes delicious. The duck dishes are my favourite.

The driver was wondering around the street for good 10 mins, even though i left a note how to find the house. He clearly doesnt know which one is his left hand, and what does it mean firts house.

Food was cooked to order came piping hot and nothing was too much trouble. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit would love to go back when in the area again 😊

Order placed in advance for 6pm delivery. Called restaurant at 6.20. Food had been prepared on time but no driver had been assigned. Food finally arrived at 6.55. Driver advised that food was ready an hour ago but he had only just been given the job. Food was usual quality from this restaurant but needed re-heating to be satisfactory. I have screen shots of app timed 6.31 stating that driver was assigned and delivery time was 6.11. Another timed at 6.42 stating that driver was assigned and ddliv

Went at 9.30 after checking on google that it closes at 10.30, we thought this would be plenty of time to have a meal, boy was we wrong!! As soon as we walked in we were told that we had to order starters and mains together as the kitchen closed at 10pm, we thought ok and did as they asked. All the food came out together and they were trying to take our plates that still had food on them. We ended up being in there for 35 minutes. I have never felt so rushed to eat our food, it was embarrassing. Then they presented the £91.50 bill. Never again, no customer service, and made to feel like we were taking up their time!! The noodles were nice though.

If I could rate it less I would. Seemed to friendly to the average person. Seen me enter jn my tracksuit and they discriminated from the second I walked in. Was rude to me got all my order wrong. I asked for some salt and pepper king prawns and some prawn toast, they brought me out 1 slice prawn toast and 3 king prawns meanwhile the table next to us got a pile of prawns? I walked out yesterday and went straight over to McDonald’s. I genuinely think this restaurant didn’t want tracksuits in there and genuinely wanted to disappoint me so I did not return.

Outstanding for the price and genuinely exceptional service and communication. Some dishes, like the crispy beef and salt/chilli squid felt hollow, as if they were empty with no protein inside. Great selection of Malaysian dishes.

Noodles had too much pepper. King prawns were good. Other than that we enjoyed our meal.

Oh my god. what an absolute BRILLIANT place this is, the service was second to none, the food was just delicious and ALL YOU CAN EAT, and believe me the menu was just so vast, there were four of us and we all enjoyed every minute we were there. We went on a Wednesday and the place was rammed from 6pm onwards. We cannot recommend this place HIGH ENOUGH. Thank you to the staff, keep up the good food.

Order was slightly late but not an issue. When it arrived was missing the main curry I had ordered instead had a mixed starter. I contacted just eat but also the restaurant to explain what happened. Although the lady at the end of the phone was very polite they explained as just eat had delivered they were unable to get the right dish to me and to wait for a refund or go and collect the right dish myself or call the restaurant next time I want to order and they would take some money off. Not ideal. The rice and chips I did eat with the mix starter I was given was fine if very dry.

Fair choices of dishes and taste is good. The yam soup is too salty, but the crispy pawn and mushroom are good. Do not expect a warm welcoming and friendly service. The service is as cold as the winter weather. I gave them a 10% tip, but they seemed unhappy. To be fair, the service was not worth any more tips.

Have ordered multiple times and nearly always really good but this was not the case this time. Food was not warm, was very over cooked and not to the standard we have had before

I absolutely loved the place at first , but when I tried to find out whether they have halal options , one person said the chicken was halal another said it’s not guaranteed though quite dismissive , asking about information due to dietary restrictions is important and it would have been nice to be more accommodating, give answers, explain if there is no cross contamination, is the same oil used for frying . I wish I got those answers.

I visit at least once a month. Everytime the food is spot on. we were forgotten about on one occasion and we just laughed it off when we waited to have our first drinks/food order taken 20 minutes after sitting down. it was a one off so its not the end of the world. food always fresh and hot and it is priced very reasonably.

Takeaway food in a restaurant setting. Food quality isn't very exciting. Everything has the same base sauce, tweaked slightly per dish. The staff can be quite blunt and rude. Cheung Won is nicer round the corner.

We've eaten here many times. The service is always great, and the 'all you can buffet cooked to order' idea is excellent - plenty of food that's freshly cooked. Heartily recommended.

Absolutely disgusting service, ordered through just eat for the fourth night on the trot. Average price per night £48 my wife ordered vegetable mains and I ordered chicken curry. No chicken curry delivered just the veg. Phoned restaurant and told to take it up with just eat and re order !!!! Probably spent £600 with this takeaway this year, it's my last order I'm furious.
