Jinnah in Harrogate

Absolutely superb I can't understand why it's not got 5 stars. The curry's was perfect, The staff lovely and the ambiance was spot on. I will be back! Good price aswell :)

Excellent food with great service - loud due to the amount of people but definitely go back again.

Attending a conference, so we looked for a restaurant that would suit our party. Jinnah were very accommodating for everyone's tastes and needs. The mixed starter was delicious. The restaurant had some nice Kashmiri dishes. The Tajine was perfect. Good service.

I went with a group of colleagues to the restaurant to dine after a day at a conference. How can I put it? The whole experience was superb! Drinks are not overpriced, the service was faultless (staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble) and the food! It was the best Indian meal I have had in years. From poppadoms with a varied selection of pickles, to a mixed grill starter that was tasty and spicy without being overpowering, and in to main courses that showed variety and flavour and had obviously been cooked with care. It was fab! A wonderful way to celebrate the end of a break in Harrogate

Excellent service and food, papad and variety of pickles followed by sizzling starter. Main course was six different dishes veg and non-veg, rice and big nan.

Needing some food quickly before an event I walked past Jinnah a couple of times before the aromas lured me in. Very quiet evening for them, but they were super-attentive and the food was absolutely delicious and so quickly delivered. When I’m next in Harrogate I shall definitely make a point of coming here - and you should too. Many thanks.

Welcomed on arrival. No wait. Staff very attentive. Food choices very good. Food arrived promptly. Good sized portions and fab tasting food. Atmosphere really nice. Busy but could still hear ourselves talk. Warm inside and very comfortable tables. Great place to eat. Would definitely recommend.

Second time I’ve dropped by here after a long day and just wanting a quiet booth to sit in and a couple of starters and a glass of nice wine. On both occasions, most recently tonight, I haven’t been disappointed in the slightest- Professional, promt and personal service and even though I was ordering just light duos from the starter menu, the service and attention made me feel like I was at a banquet for many. Very well managed and with excellent service, aside the food which came in very close proximity to the overall ambiance. Excellent all round, bravo!

We’ve eaten here twice before and knew how great it was. It didn’t disappoint this time. Consistently excellent. Love the fact that you have a Desi section on your menu. Please open in Sutton Coldfield.

Prices in Harrogate have rocketed in the last couple of years. In 2020 I recond this was great value, today it is expensive. Thankfully the food is good.

We tuned up at 9.30 and asked for a table for four; we were told we’d have to order quick as the kitchen was about to close. We ordered our food and also a pickle tray which was brought out very quickly. Less than 10 mins after the pickle tray the main course was brought out and we literally had to abandon the pickle tray which had hardly been touched. Credit where it’s due the food that we had was great but the service was diabolical. The music was turned off and we were made to feel like we were wanted rid of. We weren’t offered any drinks other than the initial drink we had upon arriving. Once we had finished our meal one of the staff came to clear the table and we were given hot towels immediately. About two mins later the bill was brought; I joked with the waiter about “..any chance of coffees?…” and I was quite bluntly told “No!” Three of them were stood waiting that bar making us feel like we should no longer be there so we paid and left. All in all we’d been in the restaurant about 45 mins. A bill of £91.50ish which to be fair wasn’t bad but a terrible dining experience. Great food spoiled by poor hospitality. I’d have rather they told me that we were too late to eat when we arrived than rush through our food and make us feel uncomfortable like they did. Definitely one to avoid when in Harrogate; we certainly won’t be going back!

I had such a wonderful experience at this place! The service was absolutely top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction. 1st time at Jinna Harrogate. Recommended by a friend. Had Prawn Puri starters followed by Lamb Mirpuree, and Chicken Tikka Maselader. Mushroom Pilau rice and a Keema Naan. Absolutely beautifully cooked. Swift and good service at a very reasonable price too. Will definitely recommend and will return 100%

Reservation made online, on arrival seated, menus given drinks order taken. I opted for a vegetarian curry with a Nan bread. Curry was lovely as was the Nan, no complaints.

The drinks were fabulous and had a wide variety of them also along with a varied selection of dishes to choose from. I personally chose the lamb chops which were succulent and tasted absolutely delicious. For the main I went for the Chicken Nawabi with a Garlic nan this is probably the best curry I have ever had and I’ve had plenty in my time. All in all we couldn’t fault anything definitely the best curry in town.

Cannot fault the attentive service on a busy evening at Jinnah, however, after a promising start with a very good pickle tray to go with the poppadoms, the rest of the offerings were distinctly average.

Came on a Saturday night and just about managed to get a table (will book next time). Really busy, buzzing atmosphere, nice decor and the food was amazing. Especially loved the curries we chose (Kabuli and Pathia), and the pickle tray was exceptional. It was our first visit but we’ll definitely be back.

I went for my 44th birthday with family and the staff were amazing and catered for us how we wanted our food I also got a surprise birthday Ice cream which was amazing.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. Started with the mixed platter, followed by Chicken shashlick… was moist and full of flavour! Only critique is that the portions are too large for one person, but I’m only a small person so many would find that a positive.

This was a stop for tea before going to a concert. Probably cheapest restaurant in the centre of Harrogate. The curries are good. It was cold inside though and the toilets are a bit poorly looked after.

We ordered from here today and collected. We mainly ordered for the lamb chops... This time they came back like Charcoal... Badly burnt. The naan was cold too. The 2 chicken curries were lovely. Just dissapoining this time.

The Rogan josh curry was a bit too watery (perhaps from the amount of tomatoes used) which meant the sauce lacked a depth of flavour & consistency for me. The chicken was well cooked however. A nice setting for a modern curry house

This is a large restaurant with lots of small booths for privacy. There is a big range of dishes and I enjoyed the two I had on successive evenings. Service was very prompt and efficient and prices were about average. I thought it was decent value for money and would recommend the place to others.

So we chose this venue to enjoy a celebratory meal for our engagement with my family, as we entered the building one of their members of staff disgustingly looked my partner up and down to the degree I told him to keep his eyes to himself !!! One of the worst experience I had in UK in South Asian cuisine. They don’t even know what is Nihari and instead of that they served lamb shak snd they say it’s nihari they have 20yr experience. However, staff and manger is too rude he doesn’t know how to speak to their customers. They even have tea but don’t in menu and they give normal paper bill not computerised one this needs to be checked. Think 100times before you go.

Been visiting Harrogate for the weekend, went to Jinnah on Friday night and had probably the best Indian meal we've ever had, it was so good we went back tonight (Saturday) and was not disappointed, absolutely excellent meal, the staff are amazingly friendly, can't wait to come back and eat there again.

Delicious, mid price range and nice decor - there are good vegetation options for most dishes and they have very good pickle trays for their poppadoms. Centrally located as well.

Food par excellence! I ordered from the non hot section and was blown away by how delicious it was. I asked for help from the waiter who was so helpful and friendly as were all the staff from the person greeting you at the door to the person delivering the food to the table. Such good value. The decor was just lovely too.
