Ordered a mixed kebab, Lamb doner and chicken doner, received lamb doner and normal chicken with hard bits in it... They took like 10 minutes and the guy serving the food licked his finger every time he put an item into a bag , not to mention rubbing his head. This wouldn't be an issue until a couple of hours later when my bottom let go and this is the only food I've had... Shame as the reviews got my hopes up.. Maybe there's a better kebab house in town. Edit, an hour after going to bed I actually soiled myself, sober so it's not that and I can smell the onions and kebab. Only wasted a pair of boxers as I caught it in time. Second time this has ever happened from a dodgy kebab place.. Please avoid.

Everything was terrible, the cashier was intimidating. I have had lots of donners and chips and this was the worst so far, nothing had any flavor, all the hot food was melted into the plastic containers, the "large garlic dips" where no more than 10ml or garlic sauce which is crazy and where 1 pound. I am never eating here again please don't get there donner.

Desperately trying to find a nice Indian takeaway in Harrogate, and tried Aakash after amazing reviews in Just Eat, only to be a little disappointed. When ordering, Just Eat told us the food would be ready for 5:55. At around 5:40, we were notified it was ready and we hadn't even set off yet. I did ring them and ask to keep it warm as we had issues with our front door not locking, and the man in the phone WAS super nice and said he'd keep it in a heat bag for us which was nice, and the food was still warm when we eventually got home around 6:15. Now, the starters. I ordered a chicken tikka and my boyfriend got onion bhajis. I was aware that the starters came on "a bed of onion", but it was way too much. My chicken was dry once put on my plate and tasted too much of onion and not enough tikka. My partner didn't like how fried his bhajis were and we both said we wouldn't get the same starters if we order online again. The mains were okay. The curry portions were quite small, I barely had enough sauce leftover for the next day (I always eat half and save half for the next day). The containers were small and there was too much chicken in my korma (odd complaint, I know, but I like a lot of sauce to drown my rice.), might just get korma sauce next time. My partner enjoyed his madras and he said it was very spicy which is what he wanted, but his tummy wasn't the best the next day, and he handles spicy food quite well, normally. Finally found a takeaway which has actual pilau rice with herbs and spices which was a nice surprise! I enjoyed that quite a lot, made it feel more authentic as opposed to white rice with colourful red green and yellow dyed pieces. The boiled rice was nice and reheated well the next day. The naans are big! We could have definitely just got the one to share. The garlic was subtle but strong enough. My partner said he couldn't taste the garlic, but I could, but I had a more "middle" piece. Overall, it was nice, however, I wouldn't order again. It was around £41 for just the two of us, which is the most expensive takeaway we've had (normally no more than £35 from elsewhere), and it was almost worth it. We'll deffo save next time as we'll just be getting the 1 naan and maybe not starters.

This is the best curry we have had for years chappatis we’re amazing too ! moving from Leeds to Knaresborough it’s nice to finally find somewhere that does a proper curry would highly recommend 😊

We were recommended this place after using Khans for years so thought we’d give it a try.. was very pleased up until tonight! We went to there website to place our order as usual, took £30 and an email came up to say awaiting pick up of order .. we sat 2HOURS… then drove to shop to find it closed! On logging back on to there website to find a contact number they had put CLOSED DUE TO EID on there page not allowing orders to be placed., I have not got a problem with the closure at all but to let the order be placed, just like we do normally then have us sit and wait from 6pm to after 8pm, is poor service. It seems to me this was an after thought on there website and if it would have come up straight away beforehand all this could have been avoided.

Ordered loads of times before. Food always been lovely. Due to ill health as a family the 3rd order today this week and tonight's delivery suddenly when arriving had a £10 delivery charge. Quoted £26.85 on ordering tried charging £36.85 on delivering. Rang to verify and was rudely told not to order from them again as I returned the food.

OM GOODNESS..... This place is frikkin awesome, the amount of food you actually get is amazing as the portions are massive and for the price you pay, is a tatal bargain, the food is really tasty and of the best quality, I would recommend these guys every day of the week, We are one happy family :-) Definitely our go to place as they can satisfy everyone in the house as the menu is huge and fits any hungry tummy :-)

Food from Aakash has always been great! Pizzas are gorgeous but I go for the cheesy chips! Always friendly service when I go in and there's never a fuss when delivering to our slightly remote location

Had Chicken Tikka and Mushroom Korma, pickle tray and naans with rice were OK. The Chicken Tikka was virtually tasteless, which is some achievement. I think they must use food colouring instead of spices. I've had much better from supermarkets for quarter of the price.

Fast, clean and decent service. Kids love the curry from here, the pizzas are damn good for a non pizza joint. I personally love the chicken tikka kebab in pitta with chips and salad 😂

After reading all the good reviews, I decided to order from here. I ordered a chicken Madras, asked if it was small containers or the large ones, the guy said was Medium, so I asked for extra chicken as this was an option, i picked my curry up from Aakash, got it home and it was a 'Small' container! Opened it up and it looked like a korma but one that had chillies and Madras powder added to it to make it more Madras style, it was nothing like a Madras the taste was bland and the chicken pieces where tiny, so not worth it at all.i did not enjoy any of it. I paid £9 for my order I got the, chicken Madras, 2x chapaitis and one poppadom... The Chapatti where also not great and where really thick, I'm so fussy with curries and I come from Wetherby because the Indian shops here, they just can't make a Madras how I like it... I usually order from Zolsha which is my usual place but they where not answering the phone, I'll never make the mistake of ordering anywhere else again, Zolsha is really nice and I aeven if there closed for what ever reason I'll cook instead lol.. never had a bad curry from there

I live wayyy out in the villages. Before I got a job in knaresborough I used to order occasionally as these guys were the only ones that delivered. I decided to get food from these for the first time in yrs as I now work in the town. I ordered a chicken kebab on chips for £4.50. i asked for a large garlic sauce and bossman threw me in two small ones in for free as they only did one size. Very polite quick service. They were bang on time. Highly reccomend. LUIS

Nothing but good things to say! The Balti Jalfrezi is awesome & so is the Balti Rogan Josh, recommend both. My favourite place to get curry, also, collected a few times myself, staff are lovely, though it's always busy, but busy for a reason! Haven’t tried the pizzas though, can't comment on those.

My fiancé and I had the most amazing food, it was authentic to taste (as we like it), great service and from such small set up they deliver great food. It was sooo good we treated ourselves to a second visit, naughty but nice. We are working it off 😉😉

By far the worst takeaway I’ve ever eaten. Asked for thin on both the pizza and garlic bread, both were deep pan. Ordered lamb biryani and got beef instead plus it had egg in it. Pizza was soggy and you can tell it is cheap quality. If you want to waste your money then order from here.

Eaten from here 5 times now! Staff are proper sound and ive had the Kebabs, curries and pizza. Food is always early when delivered despite being very busy. Definitely the best takeaway in the HG postcode without a doubt. 100% would recommend!

Have used this takeaway for a while now. The food is normally good but in the space of a week they have inflated their delivery charges to over £10. This is a rip off and I will not use again.

Easily the best takeaway in knaresborough

I thought I would try this place out for the first time. Upon ringing this establishment concidering its the first time I have ever rang them I was greeted with, "before you order you owe us £25 and if you don't pay your barred." This comment was portrayed in a rude and intimidating way. I said that I had never ordered from that establishment before and he cut off the phone. I rang the premises again and the staff member went on the attack being unprofessional and very rude. I asked to speak to the manager and he said he was the manager. To me for a manager his behaviour was inhospitable and totally unacceptable. I would never order from this establishment again. And I would not recommend it for anybody else

I ordered a takeaway via Just Eat as it was past the closing time of my normal Indian takeaway. The food was delicious (plenty of side sauces which I LOVE) and came quickly and the delivery driver was lovely. Would definitely order from here again. (Ps. The garlic naan was beautiful!)

Best takeaway in Knaresborough. The guys pay attention to special requirements and are in general really pleasant and helpful. I've had loads and have never had a single issue. Their mixed special kebab is out of this world and their pizzas are the best in the Harrogate and Knaresborough area. I think for the quality of their food the prices are really good.

Every time I have ordered from them everything always tastes salty. Tonight will be the final time I order anything again. Korma in the past was runny. Previous orders were cold. Gave the benefit of the doubt over and over again. But last time tonight no more orders from me.

Apparently my postcode was wrongly inputed, I understand by 1 typo. But my street name and number was correct. The incorrect postcode does not exist but my street address funnily enough does. Waited 1 hour 45 before calling and they recognised my name- address and number but then was told me contact details were incorrect. Akash replaced my order, buy took another 25 minutes to replace and just accusations at the door. Thanks guys

I wanted so much to enjoy this meal as the Aakash is quite local to us and the other reviews were very good but .... The food was delivered in 35 minutes - 30 mins earlier than expected and the driver was very pleasant. Unfortunately the food was poor. The spicy chips were soggy and cold and were just chips sprinkled with what looked like paprika. The peshwari nan was large but tasteless apart from some sweet powdery pasty inside parts of it. The most disappointing part was the curries themselves. Both were just a soggy mush I wasn't planning to leave a review until prompted by justeat.

Saag aloo was watery and bland. Jalfrezi had unclean prawns and was flavourless. It came with almost no sauce and was clumpy.Rice was greasy.

Have now used Aakash for years. Incredibly reliable, charming delivery, even remember my name sometimes. I'd prefer hotter curries, but I know they spice to their consumer demographic. Great local, couldn't be happier.
