The best restaurants serving Asian food in Brighton and Hove South East

Upon walking in, the waitress was incredibly kind and served us so nicely. When the food was ready, there wasn’t any napkins or knifes and forks as we were getting a takeout. We then asked the other waitress if we could please get napkins and knifes and forks. By this point she was talking with her friends and had been from The time we walked in. She then gave us a cold look and seemed really annoyed that we asked her something while she was talking with her friends. She then replied and said ‘ we just got chopsticks ‘ . The food portions are incredibly small and the taste was quite bland. For a restaurant it seemed a little weird that they only had chopsticks as we don’t know How to eat with chopsticks and I’m sure not everyone does either so we struggled to eat our food. Will not be going back.

He tenido una obsesión de toda la vida con el curry (bueno, ¿por qué no? ¡Es el plato nacional de Gran Bretaña, no es así!) Y mientras caminaba por el mercado abierto un día me atrajo la tentadora bocanada de Mohammed's Spice Of Life. Al pedir un plato de verduras a la amable sirvienta, me senté afuera bajo el sol y mientras disfrutaba de los sabores de dahl, espinaca, samosa, curry de verduras, etc. Me preguntaba si este era el futuro del Open Market, ¿como un patio de comidas internacional? Ya tenemos la excelente cocina griega Kouzina, Smorls falafel, un excelente lugar coreano / japonés, ¿por qué no? Todo el centro del mercado cubierto podría ser un área para comer con bancos y mesas largas. . ¿Qué tan bueno sería eso? Con restaurantes de calidad como Mohammads, Open Market tiene un futuro maravilloso por delante.

Had lunch today. Staff were helpful and friendly and didn't try to hurry you out when finished. Fantastic food, fresh, hot and tasty. Best salt and pepper squid I have had in a long time. Will definately be back.

The lechon kawali and sisig are delicious! It just took time for it to be served but it is okay. The staff are friendly too! What I liked about this restaurant is it automatically includes rice (as should be for Pinoy restaurants)! Unlike other Fil restaurants I have been where you always have to order extra for rice. It is cheap as well considering their great serving! Will definitely come back next time I am in Brighton!

Delicious curry and excellent service.

Walked past this place for years, meaning to and finally went in. The bibimbap is delicious and staff really lovely. Planning to drag more people along next time to try the barbeque!

Having previously enjoyed Lucky Khao’s food at the Cin Con Noodle vs Pasta showdown; we booked a table for their Michelin Mayfest 4-course dinner. The food is exceptional, and it packs such a flavour punch that knocks you out. I never knew a Massaman curry to have such incredible deep flavours beyond what I have previously experience only in Thailand. The grilled mackerel was simply sublime and again, some of the best Thai food I have enjoyed!

The staff here are so so so kind and helpful, they work very hard to make sure you are happy and are very polite. Even holding the door open for everyone that comes and goes! We were given some poppadoms and dips whilst we waited for our food which we highly appreciated. The food was really tasty, flavourful and super filling. All I could say is sometimes the veg felt like it had been frozen for a while but its not a major problem. I’d recommend giving this place a go, they put a lot of care into their service and food. Thank you.

El plato principal de pollo al curry verde era una salsa delgada con una pequeña cantidad de pollo y dos o tres verduras pequeñas. Media taza de té de arroz. Falta de sabor. As a ramen lover, I was thrilled to discover Shogun Ramen during my visit to Brighton, and it was my first stop when I arrived! The ramen was absolutely delicious savory, perfectly balanced, and easily the best I’ve found after struggling to find a good ramen shop near me. The food came out impressively fast, which made the experience even better. My only suggestion would be adding some light background music to elevate the atmosphere and make it even cozier for enjoying the meal. 🍜
