The best restaurants serving Asian food in East of England

Food very nice and staff friendly and funny.Atmosphere was quiet when I was there but a band on later which would have been better for me but had to leave urgently

We have always used Lubbards for our Indian food and it used to be outstanding. However, tonight’s food was very poor in comparison, there was just one bag of salad, no raita, and the mixed starters were dry and quite tasteless. To top it all, I asked as I always do for the vegetable curry that accompanies the biriani to be Madras hot, when it was delivered, I had been charged for an extra full size vegetable curry although I had gone through the order twice with the person on the phone! Will not be bothering again.

I've stopped here for coffee or tea in the past and have been impressed by the location. St Peter's Hall dates from around 1280 and is a short 10 minute drive from Bungay. It is located in a rural location surrounded by green fields and has its own moat. Its decor is genuine and contains many original period pieces.We booked the hall for a private family celebration and were not disapointed. The restaurant normally closes from January through to early March but opens for private functions and this is one of its strengths. It's ideally suited for such occasions. The food was exceptionally good as was the service. We were made to feel at home and welcome from start to finish. A variety of tastes and diets was catered for. Although we couldn't take advantage of the grounds this is something to savour during the summer months.

Exceptional service food was outstanding would highly recommend and will for sure be returning!

Went here for the first time last week and the service was the fastest I've ever experienced. The options on the menu offer something different to your average Indian restaurant. I went for the deep-sea special and it was so delicious, I took the rest home in a doggy bag as I couldn't waste it. The best curry I've ever had

I rarely give reviews, but these guys deserve it! The manager was very welcoming on arrival. I mentioned I would order my usual choice as undecided. The manager asked what i fancied and was recommended something different to what I would normally order, and it was beautiful! Best Indian food I have had in years and highly recommend the visit! Service was perfect, and the food was amazing. Will be visiting again when in the area!!

We visited for the first time on a charity night. We were very impressed. They had to serve a full restaurant a set menu at the same time. The food was really good. Hot plates. Friendly staff, clean toilets & nice seating.

Love the atmosphere! Beautiful instruments, music and kind intelligent people surrounding you :) highly recommended. Especially - if you need something for your violin! Amazing selection of dumplings! Our toddler had a feast when choosing from all these options on a table! Highly recommend! *Cucumber salad is also the best!

Food was tasty particularly cauliflower popcorn but bar service was painful. Wasn't that busy but had to wait a long time, gin served in small glass with no room for a mixer so had to ask for it to be changed plus ask for ice etc, understand it is more of a real ale place but need to cater for all

I like noodles and Thai tea. Very good
