Amazing little place in the back of the market! Both my boyfriend and I ordered the crispy noodle chicken and it was sooo good! Perfect veggies, tasty chicken and amazingly warming broth on a really cold day. Will definitely go back!

It's the only place I know in Chelmsford that does this kind of food, the soups which is a broth with either duck chicken or beef with noodles is amazing!!!

Wonderful, never been there before, my husband is in a wheel chair and we found the Isles in between the displays very easy to wheel around.

Very authentic Thai food/noodle base, obviously a homemade stock (noodle soup is all about the stock) very big portions. I ordered the beef noodle soup on this occasion and I wasn't disappointed. Definitely worth a visit if you like Thai noodles , not the prettiest of locations but true foodies will appreciate the food over the location every time ! (My views only)

Great little place hidden at the back of Chelmsford market, serving noodle and rice dishes plus bubble tea. The duck noodle soup was incredible - bubble tea not as good as some of the places on Moulsham Street but priced well!

I've been coming here (and to Lek's) regularly. The authentic food is so good & always fresh, tasty and affordable with good portion sizes.

This food stall is in some way connected t Lek's just a couple of stalls away and has the same excellent food and cheerful service. It was my first visit as I fancied some noodles and my spicy Udon seafood noodles were delicious. 50% of the customers when I was there were Asian - a good sign! I need to go back to try their other dishes.

Delicious food, big servings, always packed and ran by lovely people. I wanna start getting a bubble tea here regularly. Can't recommend more. ♥

Absolutely delicious. I had the chicken rice and it tastes like home. I also had the crispy noodle and it was delicious. Portions were great and priced well. I finished the food before remembering to take pictures!

A true like for like of Thai noodles/1 plate dishes you get on Thailands streets and markets proper stock used, recommended.

Chef dish out master pieces everytime if only he have more woks to cook faster. 40 mins wait for a bowl of noodle but still worth it. Understand tea may have better margins unit wise. Taking some shop space too but seems people coming for the hot food mainly?

They serve a very good thai noodle soup and boba tea. The noodle was a little sweet but they have chilli powder and other mixer on the table to mix it to your liking.

I asked the member of staff what to get and he kindly gave me his suggestion and it was amazing. I would definitely recommend going here for lunch/takeaway.

Very frienly gentleman helped me choose what to have. I said I like sweet things and he recommended the duck leg with honey and red bean sauce. It was delicious! Thank you

My partner made an impromptu stop here and asked the server for vegetable only buns, checking that there was no meat. After waiting several minutes for them to cook and being charged more than the menu states he brought them home to discover they are actually full of pork! Given then he specifically asked for vegetables only and no meat (which was confirmed back to him) this is very frustrating and in the current climate seems baffling!

Really nice lunch, the Chow Mein was lovey. The restaurant is in a unit in the market so basically outside, Wish i’d worn a better coat as it was freezing cold the day we went. Will go back though, maybe when its a bit warmer.

I don’t live local so planned a visit to enjoy the park and when I go I always eat here/Leks. For a change I thought I would give Baan a go as I fancied some noodles. It was very busy but hung around for a few minutes and managed to get a table. It is possible to order and eat at Leks as there are more tables to eat outside weather permitting. I chose the Beef Noodle Soup (£6.50) with a couple of Pancake Rolls from Leks. You can choose which type of Noodles you want and I went for the Udon thick type. The people and service is always lovely and the food once again didn’t disappoint. Lovely bowl of tasty noodles with large pieces of tender beef. Absolutely delicious. My only regret is I wish it was closer so i could eat here more often. Leks thai food is to die for too. Look forward to my next visit.

Had the duck soup noodles. Great alternative for a boring sandwich for lunch. Will be returning to try other dishes. My 3 year old loved the roti with condensed milk.

Popped into Baan as my go-to option (Leks Thai) had a queue. I ordered the chicken crispy noodles and although well cooked was a little bland. There were plenty of other diners eating away happily so perhaps it was just my dish. Will I give it another go? Almost certainly. It was clean, the food was cooked mostly from scratch and the staff were pleasant.

Quick lunch of chicken ramen soup for myself and prawn chow mein for hubby. Huge bowlful of food, very light and tasty soup with masses of chicken and a few vegetables, the chow mein was very generous as well, both were enough to keep us full for all day, shared a bottle of water and all for £14.00 excellent value meal. There are pots of various types of chilli condiments and soy sauce on the table to add extra spice if required. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the chef is outstandingly good. Chelmsford Market is becoming one of our favourite places to eat.

Really lovely food, all very fresh, hot and delicious. The noodley soup dishes are under £7 and great value. With only half a dozen or so tables i would suggest going at slightly off peak times.

Just moved to the area and wanted some chicken Ramen was prepared to pay the Wagamama’s prices. But this was 5 times better and cheaper. Go there it’s lovely and relaxed although I ordered my soup way way toooo 🌶🌶🌶🌶hot 😲🔥🔥🔥🙏🏻🙏🏻😭😭😬😫

Oh my word that was good. Iv been a fan of Ramen and chicken noodle soup for ages. And this is honestly fantastic and the prices are brilliant. Well played Baan Noodle well played There right in the left far corner of the market

Great Thai food in the middle of Chelmsford. Cooked freshly on ordering. Take away and a few seats too.

Iv had the roast duck with rice and it was amazing ! And iv had the roast pork in red sauce with rice and that was amazing too! 100% recommend eating here

Really enjoyed a quick lunch here, it's a noodle bar but they also sell dim sum and some rice dishes. I had barbecue pork with rice and my wife had chicken chow mein. Both were good sized portions and were freshly cooked. Mains are about £6 so really good value. It's very relaxed, being located in the market. Basically street food but you can sit in and enjoy it. I'll definitely be back.

If you fancy somewhere different to eat then why not try Baan Noodle, which can be found in the market complex. The staff are nice & friendly, they have a varied menu which should suit most tastes & everything is very reasonably priced.

Baan is hidden away in the Chelmsford market hall and could easily be missed but it is definitely worth the effort of a visit. There are not many tables but Baan offers superb value for genuine Asian and tasty noodle dishes. There are plenty of local car parks but the restaurant is only open during market hours. I ordered Spicy Udon noodles with chicken at lunchtime after trying a different dish on my previous visit. The food was freshly cooked and took around 10 minutes but it looked and tasted excellent when it arrived. Great chilli taste and fresh veg offered in a good portion at an excellent price. This is a real great value location and I will definitely be back. Highly recommended. The service was good and from ordering to leaving took around 35 minutes. Give it a try and you will not be disappointed.

(Kraftwerk) Baan Noodles - Chelmsford Market

Came across Baan Noodle bar the other day. Ordered hot and sour soup with pork. It was delicious and there was plenty of it too, also loved that there is pots of sugar, chili flakes, soy sauce and tamarind I think on each table so you can adjust each dish to your taste!! This will be my go to place in Chelmsford! Yum!

Won ton soup is the best here ! I'm always missing Asian food away from home and this place has the best broth

If you like noodles then come here as they've so many tasty noodle types. Top quality food for a fraction of the cost of a restaurant.

Today, I popped in here for lunch and I was very impressed. They stock proper steamed buns, rice and mango desert and other delicious asian food. I had roast pork and rice - with steamed buns. The portion was generous and very morish and there was even change from my £10.00.

If you like Oriental food & are in Chelmsford then make your way to the covered market & you will find this café right down at the bottom near the butchers. The staff there are very friendly & they have a nice selection of food available which is all freshly cooked & can be purchased for a very reasonable price.

Whenever the wife and I are in town this is now our choice for lunch. Lots to choose from on the menu and so far all have tasted amazing.. we always recommend this place to friends and family and we continue to go even after we have tried the whole menu. Staff are always friendly and happy to help with any questions. Beats anywhere else in the town for good Asian food.

This place just hits the spot. Delicious noodle dishes cooked freshly in good portion sizes. Also recommend the bao (pork steamed buns). My perfect place for lunch.

Went past this place a few times and noticed a lot of Asian people eating. Checked the Menu and watched them prepare food, it smelt so good.Went back the other week and was really impressed the food was delicious. I know understand why there are so many Asian people eating here, the menu is varied and of high quality. Great atmosphere will be back for sure. Yummy
