We love the Taj Mahal Night! Every time we’ve ordered a home delivery, our food arrives before the time given. It always arrives hot, full of flavour and absolutely delicious. We wouldn’t go anywhere else for our curries. Highly recommend!

Well where to start. This place is the best Indian in Chelmsford. I would never go anywhere else. The staff on the phone are always happy to help you and will always go the extra mile to make you happy and give you the best experience. Food always turns up hot and on time, delivery drivers are always very respectful and polite. If you want an Indian and live in Chelmsford and surrounding areas this is the place to order from. 10/10

Great tasty food plus very fast delivery also. They have an online app which tracks your orders you had before and just makes the ordering process easier.

Purely a takeaway, but the food is really good. Excellent loyalty / points system that add up to good discounts. Not cheap, but nothing is these days. The loyalty system does give good savings and the food is VERY good.

Food was delivered hour and 30 minutes after order time - it was also marked as delivered when it wasn’t. Also - setting the minimum delivery time to 1 hour is going to turn people away - it may help the restaurant with saying it ‘met’ its delivery time but it’s just far too long. Every time i’ve ordered from here recently it’s taking an age to be delivered. Going to try elsewhere from now on.

Delicious food, well cooked and was still hot. We couldn’t eat it all because the portions are very generous. Always happy to order again.

The Peshwari Nan was really delicious and so was the Tarka Dhall.

I realise the restaurant would be very busy on 14th Feb but the delivery estimate was so far from reality. I ordered at 6.45 with an hour wait. I called the restaurant 3 times and was told it was leaving within 10 minutes each time. Yet it still took 2 and a quarter hours to reach us. Delivery times on the app didn’t change throughout the evening.

Wow as Allways arrived piping hot and so tasty the lamb melted in your mouth l would not go any where else give it a try you will not be Dissapointed scrummy.

Ordered at 6.45 didn’t receive until 9.25 called restaurant at 8 to be told on way tried called again at 9 to no answer if you can’t fulfill orders please don’t accept them , we order from here a lot and are very disappointed the food was nice but couldn’t enjoy as we were tired at this point

Order was missing onion bhajis. Watery runny curry. Madras was a lot spicer than it should be.

Wont be ordering from here again unfortunately after the last few orders especially the most recent. Samosas were undercooked, everything was cold & the curry was tasteless. Very simple order took over an hour Seems to be going downhill.

3 out of the 4 curries were far too spicy. Couldn’t eat the Karahi it was too spicy and inedible despite not having any spice level on the menu. Really disappointing, won’t be ordering from here again.

Top notch food, we always say this Taj Mahal nights is a hidden gem - the tandoori sauce is out of the world we have tried many Indians in Chelmsford but the tandoori sauce here is just out of the world

Some of the food items were okay but some were very clearly tailored to a western palate. The makhani was way too sweet and wasn't reminiscent of any true Desi daal makhanis. The lamb chops, kebabs and chicken tikka had the same marinade which wasn't very flavourful and lacked spice, again on the sweeter side. The bhuna could have used some spice as well, not a Desi flavour. The naan, puri and rice were fine. The samosa was good. The chaats had no papad unlike what was shown in the picture.

probably the worst Indian food I've ever ordered, burnt dry rubbery lamb chops, tasteless precooked curries. every dish seemed old like it was cooked day before. Will never order for this place again. waste of money.

Taj mahal nights is a regular place where me and the kids love to get a takeaway from, food is amazing full of flavour and it always meets the highest standards. Service is outstanding, they are all very friendly and very well mannered. I would highly recommend taj mahal nights to everyone that's looking for the perfect Indian.

This was the first Indian takeaway place we tried since moving here and it did not disappoint! We accidentally missed an item when placing the order and phoned the restaurant, the staff member who answered the phone was very friendly and kindly amended our order and the food was delivered fresh & hot. Food arrived piping hot. Great flavours and delicious fresh food. Quick delivery. Loads of tasty options on the menu. I love all the new dishes that are being added - makes this restaurant unique compared to everywhere else. Hats off to the chefs! My only request is that they make the chips gluten free (separate fryer) as I would love to order some Taj mossala chips!. And finally, lots of the dishes are gluten free so great for us celiacs. Fabulous place.

Quality has dropped off a cliff. Not sure if they've lost their chef or something but the red special curry was mush, a weird mix of overcooked and undercooked, tasted strange. The naan was tough, not sure how they messed that up. Bhajis were ok.

I recently ordered butter chicken, chilli paneer, and chicken biryani. Unfortunately, the meal was disappointing overall. The butter chicken was far too sweet, which really threw off the flavor—authentic butter chicken isn’t supposed to taste like that. The chilli paneer was also a letdown; it looked and tasted more like paneer tikka than actual chilli paneer, and the portion size wasn’t great considering the price. Thankfully, the biryani was decent, but it wasn’t enough to redeem the meal. Not the experience I was hoping for.

Butter chicken was too sweet, which is not how it supposed to be. Buying butter chicken was the worst choice made. I ordered chilli paneer and ended up getting what looked like paneer tikka. One of the worst experiences I have had here. The butter chicken ruined everything for the worst and I can't get rid of the taste even though I only had two bites. Genuine let down. Briyani was the only thing that was normal and tasted close to how it should be tasting, and something that's a regular order.

Food was good in portions and taste, but it took over 2 hours to arrive which is abysmal. The restaurant staff were apologetic and they have a new delivery driver apparently, but it doesn't change the fact it was unacceptable.

Worst curries ever. Heaps of sauce, find the meat. Four small lumps in each curry - the lamb was really tough! The sag aloo potatoes were undercooked and the poppadoms tasted stale. Complete waste of money. Will definitely not order from there again.

I ordered the non chilli version of the Karahi but it was so spicy it was basically inedible. Also the description of the Karahi is chicken or lamb but you get no option to choose so it's basically luck which one you get
