Lovely food delivered slightly early. Perfect!

The food from Deshi Spice is always superb and isn't stone cold when it arrives! Delivery is always great - either a bit early or on time. The guys from there are always really pleasant to deal with.

I've been a happy Deshi Spice customer for years - never had a bad curry from them - however my latest order was sensational. Lamb Rogan Josh, Channa Massalla, Mushroom rice and Cheese naan. All were absolutely perfect and utterly devoured.

We always receive perfect service. All of the food is cooked exactly how we like it. The curries are excellent.

Really unpleasant meal unfortunately. The motor paneer was almost pure cream, which was very indigestible. The chicken was tough and stringy, which is really difficult to find appetising. We've barely touched half of it because of the overly sickly taste. We've had some nice takeaways from here but a few bad ones now so will not be ordering from here again.

Really lovely food! only negative thing is the king prawns in the king prawn masala were a lot smaller than expecting, more like baby prawns.

Overpriced for the quality of food - I asked if they could put some mint sauce in for me and they still charged me even tho I spent £50 I’ve never done a food review in my life but I wouldn’t order again - 95p for 1 popadom too lol

Never normally leave reviews but this place deserves one. Easily the best Indian I've had, foods incredible. But also the delivery was so early it caught me by surprise. Finally the guy who delivered the food was such a friendly, polite guy, which makes all the difference. Cannot rate this place enough!

Delicious food and excellent service as usual!!

Used to be our favourite Indian in Hemel, slowly the service in the restaurant became poor so we favourited delivery but now for the second time the food is really not good anymore. Not only did it not taste good, but it wasnt cooked properly, or maybe old and to top it all of the food was cold. Not cheap but was definitely the last time for us, it's gone from amazing to very poor over the years which is a shame. Not for us anymore.

Normally order from here as our go to. Today the chicken smelt horrendous and looked grey. Was really tough like it hadn’t been cooked through. Was horrible and we won’t order again. Our whole meal was inedible.

Ordered veggie jalfrezi and cheese naan bread, I got a plane naan, was tasety just not what I ordered, and the curry was quite oily, there was sauce which was nice but was just caked in oil

The restaurant got our order wrong so phoned and they said the driver was coming back to collect it. Then we have a phone call from someone else who was just rude about our order. Finally over an hour later we get our food. Still not our correct order. Not a great New Year’s Eve. Will be sticking to our normal Indian restaurant from now on.

Unusually late delivery even though we pre-ordered. I guess to be expected as NYE. Food was not as hot so had to re-heat. Food was tasty as always.

I have ordered from Deshi Spice before and it was really nice but this time round the taste was not as good. I ordered a chicken madras. But the main part for me is that the food was cold, which is strange as it arrived early. Hopefully next time will be better.

I did not get the 2 chilli naan I ordered nor did we get the condiments with the popadams. I am sure I am due a refund

This is the best curry house in Hemel.

While food was delivered before time and was hot but the curries were just swamp of sweet coconut paste. Ordered two different curries and only difference between them was colour. one was red and other was yellow coconut swamp. will never order again. supermarket curry boxes are much better recipe and taste.

The Quality and taste of the food was very poor. Me and the family do enjoy Indian and Chinese food, but on this occasion most of it ended up in the bin, and it really felt like a waste of nearly 30 quid down the drain. Food delivered on time, but food not the best.

We've been ordering foor from here since about 8 years and it used to be a really good experience, but it's gone downhill in the last couple of years. We always order the same dishes and they have always used the same size plastic containers, but suddenly they started only half-filling them. They were always a reasonably priced takeaway but they're serving shrinkflation in reality as the dishes have technically doubled in price. The food is still usually some of the best tasting in Hemel Hempstead, but due to the tiny portions, we mostly go elsewhere these days. However, we thought we'd try them again last week and all the dishes were incredibly salty - like so salty that we both woke up twice during the night and had to drink a pint of water each time.

Nice food. Quicker than expected. But too expensive and small portions of some of the sides.
