Great food and very good value. As a regular takeaway customer, the food is consistent and the service is always friendly.

One of my favourite Indian restaurants to go to these days. Excellent service, food is just right and brilliant value for money. I've been to thousands of restaurants and this one is great 👍

Excellent quality food and arrived on time. Only slight issue is one dish was advertised at (very hot) and there was minimal heat. Also add the papadams because they won’t be included

Really nice restaurant, great food and friendly staff. All going well until we were presented with the bill for our table a couple of hours before?! Which was just under £200 instead of ours which was £120. Had we not checked would have been easily paid. Food excellent though. Enjoy

Visited on a Friday night. Booked a table and glad I did because it was full. The atmosphere was buzzing and if one criticism, it was extremely noisy, but the interesting menu and excellent food more than made up for that, as did the very friendly service.

The delivery was early which was great and the food was really delicious. We were missing the nan bread but we called them and 5 minutes later it arrived. Excellent customer service, especially on a Saturday night. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be ordering again.

Pleasant place but issues with the food: - Cobra and Kingfisher draft didn't taste right/good. - Poppadoms tasted stale / not fresh - Chicken tikka seemed rubbery and not tender Lovely onion bhaji, nice selection to go with the poppadoms and curry sauce tasted fine. For me, there are better places to go in the town/area.

The food was so cold and biryani was not great . I had to to make the food hot again . Also there was salt less in the food . I would like a refund if you can speak to the hotel as I really did not enjoy my meal and unhappy as I had to go back to make the cold food hot back again

Majhi really pulled the stops out to make it up to me! Brilliant customer service and I’m so grateful!! I had a bad collection unfortunately- I ordered a wrap as wanted something small & simple for myself, so I ordered a chicken tikka wrap which I’d never had before, but when I got home, I was so disappointed and it seemed tasteless, I guess that kind of wrap doesn’t work. I called them to say how disappointed I was and they immediately offered to send me a Balti which is my usual and within a few mins they delivered me the most delicious Balti and pilau - (I really recommend their Balti and also Dupiaza by the way!) I really thought that was so lovely of them to do that considering it was just past closing time! Thanks so much! It more than made up for the previous disappointing experience! And I will be back regularly again!

Absolutely delicious!! Best Indian I’ve had in a while which makes up for the fact that we needed to stick it in the microwave for a minute to heat it up a bit.

Sadly, very bland and cold food. We were so looking forward to trying this new Indian restaurant. We ordered delivery and were told between 45 mins to 1 hour to deliver. After 1 hour 30 mins we chased to be told he thinks the food is on the way and we should have our food soon. The restaurant is 15 mins from our house and it was stone cold. The chicken tikka masala was flavourless, the cheese and onion naan was like a dry pizza base without even the slightest hint of cheese or onion, and sadly that theme was consistent throughout the entire meal. We wont be using this restaurant again. Mela in Aston Clinton is the place to eat indian food.

We've worked our way around all the local Indian restaurants and this is by far the best. Nice decor. Tablecloths. Good service. Freshly made dishes. Incredible flavours. None of us could think of a single area to improve upon. Brilliant.

Fantastic place for an Indian food experience. The menu was excellent. The food was also excellent, probably the best Indian food I've ever eaten. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, also excellent customer service. Very comfortable seating areas. Highly recommended when you are visiting the area.

We visited this restaurant as part of a group of 20. (We have a Curry Club which eats at a different Asian restaurant in our area every month. Although seated in one long line, the group was split into tables of approx 6-7 people to amke ordering/ bill paying etc. easier. Our group of 6 encountered a few problems right from the off. Only 5 starters were brought to the table so only after the others sat waiting for over 5 minutes trying to attract the attention of a waiter,did we establish that one had been ;missed; so that was re-ordered for us. By the time it was brought to the table the other 5 had finished their starters. The consequence was that when the mains were then brought to the table, they had obviously been sitting around waiting for the last person to finish their starter so the food was only 'warm' not hot. Then we discovered that one couple were short of a side dish that they's ordered so again , that was re-ordered (with no apology) and was brought to the table half-way through the meal, Very disappointing. The food itself was accepatable (apart from the temperature) but certain;t not outstanding. Having now visited several similar restaurants in the area, this one only hit 'average' on the scale for food quality and well below for service and attention to detail. They certainly need to up their gane when dealing with larger groups.

Food was terrible, chicken was not nice, only thing I ate was the poppadoms and they wasn't great!

Food was ok as usual. Unfortunately I bit down on something hard, turned out to be a piece of plastic from a lid of a container 3cm long! I phoned the restaurant to inform them, they offered me another dish. Too late, I’d just eaten.

First class food. So impressed . Was a bit wary trying a restaurant we had not been to and we were not familiar with but we did not have to worry. The staff were lovely and the food amazing. We were staying at Pendley Manor for a few days but the food there wasn’t good so we drove into Tring which was only 8 minutes away and found Majhi Indian Restaurant. We definitely were not disappointed. I can honestly say it was the best Indian food I have ever had. Going back to Pendley Manor in the winter and will definitely be going back to Majhi Indian Restaurant.

We were going to go to Storia but the lovely food aromas coming from Majhi enticed us in. I was there with my elderly mum but sadly there were no other customers at all. The service and the food were absolutely wonderful. The menu has some really unusual items on it ..not just the usual bhunas, kormas and rogan joshes! We shared three dishes, a Rajasthani lamb dish, mixed veg balti and tarka dal, with naan breads. All was really delicious. The naans were to die for ...crisp, light and fresh. The staff were lovely and went out of their way to help mum, with her mobility aid, out of the restaurant at the end. This restaurant is 100% recommended and having lived in Leicester and Bradford and been to India and Bangladesh I know a good curry place when I find one! People of Tring do give this place a chance!

Absolutely delicious food, highly recommend. Still hot and having tasted all 4 dishes ordered think this is one of the best takeaway meals I’ve had in years.

We’ve been a few times since the Majhi reopened. The food is hot, perfectly spiced and plentiful. Whilst the service is excellent - being both attentive but not rushing. The restaurant has a modern look and it is now a regular curry house. Strongly recommend.

A lovely refurbishment and a welcome addition to Tring High Street. Excellent Indian / Bangladeshi food, served with enthusiasm and warmth. Definitely on our "go there again soon" list.

I've been here twice, before going to the theatre. The food is very good, service is attentive in a nice atmosphere.

Attentive service throughout the evening. We ordered mixed starter which was delicious though onion bhajis a little crispy. My husband had a tasty lamb bhuna which had a traditional sauce with it and the chicken curry was okay. I ordered the aloo Gobi which was very flavoursome. Unfortunately the Dahl was watery and bland. Overall we had a very enjoyable evening.

My family and I had our first dinning experience at The Majhi yesterday evening. We chose a variety of dishes all of which were excellent. Even though the restaurant was very busy we couldn’t fault the service. Highly recommend.

Ok. Biryani was a little wet. The spicy dishes were not spicy. Tasty but not great what I expected.

Had a lovely meal for our first takeaway last week. Will be our local Indian now 😊

Great to see new restaurants opening up! We tried Majhi for the first time, and it was OK. We ordered two dishes off their Chef's Recommendations, and they were nothing special. I will recommend the onion bhajis, which were massive! Overall, I don't have any bad words, just seems a little average.
