Garden Of India in Harlow

Harlow itself is horrid. Narrow minded people. Restaurant has Horrible service. They don't give wifi service. Prayinto your private information. Suspicious behavior from waiters. Food is below average. There was stone in my food. Some part of it is half cooked. Waste of money.

It is a great place to enjoy some delicious Indian food. I tried the Biryani twice, and it was good. The staff is friendly, and the ambience they have created is impressive.

Went there for a last minute dinner, food was lovely and so was the atmosphere. Family friendly and welcoming. Food was served hot and didn't take long with each courses.

We visit harlow from Ireland roughly once every 6 months for the weekend, from the minute the trip starts we talk about moes restaurant and what we are looking forward to getting! Everything absolutely spotless and food always amazes us all! Until next time Moe, thank you 👍

Had one of my wedding events here, the food was amazing, staff was very accomadating and Mo (the owner) was very helpful in organising the day and making sure it went as planned! Would definitely recommend this restaurant

What van I say, this place is fantastic, the food is out of this world. The owner Mo is very friendly, this is my go to Indian style restaurant from now on. Very enjoyable.

Worst service ever!!!. Ordered a takeaway to be delivered. Got an email confirming order. Got a second email with invoice. Shortly before the meals due arrival got a third email saying food was ready and on its way, confirming the original estimated dekivery time. About 15 minutes past its due time rang the resaurant to ask where meal was. Got the response "are you trying to scam us?" Then they hung up. Waited a minute then rang again. Git told no order in my name and hung up again. Went in to restaurant next day to ask about it. Got told no order taken for me. Showed confirmation email and invoice email. Still denyed it. Showed last email saying foodcwas ready and on way. Still tried to say it wasn't them. Showed on banking app that money had gone to them. As for the phone calls and being accused of scamming they said phones were faulty and kept cutting out!! Eventually agreed to cook meal for us then to takeaway. Food was very nice. Unfortunately despite the food being very tasty we will never use them again due to apauling service with no appology and similar service again. . AVOID!!!!

Food excellent. But the two waiters trid to overcharge me .which I questioned and they deducted ten pounds..otherwise qood experience. Also seems service charge was also put on bill .that was for Sunday buffet.

Credit when it is due, food was lovely and enjoyably fresh. The only minus was the poppadom that was soft so didn't eat it. Defo worth ordering from.

Set menu it's not a buffet. Pre cooked cheap ingredients, all curries are cooked in a grinder, looks like a dog food, this restaurant would not survive in east London, London in general, Set.menu lol Vegetables curry Chicken and lamb curry and rice some sauces, and small one piece of tikka, purposely so that customers dont order more. Ilford to Whitechapel you can find highly rated buffet buffet restaurants charging £12 to £20 all you can eat as many times, no restrictions lol

We had a fantastic meal here, first time coming to the restaurant. It won’t be the last. We had Really great service. He had great knowledge of his dishes.. the food was so tasty and full of flavour, the meat was so tender.. it really was worth the drive to this restaurant. Totally satisfied with everything

Wow.. What can I say.. Being limited because of an intolerance this didn't stop Mo asking what i wanted from the menu and tweaking it.. He went above and beyond to make my meal perfect.. He said "pick what you like and leave the rest to me".. I felt total trust and he delivered a lovely meal.. Highly recommend, and appreciated.. Our party of 5 also had the best meals.. We were all certainly looked after..

Food was ok. The restaurant has 4 hygiene rating and it is clearly evident.The ambience was ok too, does need refurbishment. Dishes are priced higher. Positive : has parking allocated, Service was ok and can be managed better.

I can honestly say, this is one of the best restaurants Ive been to in the world. The host and staff are the most welcoming and you are treated like a friend. Our host suggested dishes for us and was very generous with portions and complments. The food is delicious and fusion foods that I never would have tried, were offered to us. Their original creations are sensations on your tastebuds and all made fresh to order. You enter this restaurant as a patron and leave a friend.

This place never disappoints so good and the food is just amazing. Best for miles around and the staff are second to none 5+ stars

I was in Harlow on business and googled a good Indian restaurant for solo meal The food was ok, The mixed grill was ok, the Sheena Kebab had good spicing, the Tandoori Chicken tasty. but the lamb was too chewy for me. The Naan was ok but the Aloot Chat had the consistency of babyfood and surprisingly bland. Not what I was expecting at all! The service was ok. I asked the waiter when I arrived what he recommended and he replied "Don't worry, we will look after you." The manager was far better and attentive and made an effort with other customers. They let me sit at my laptop all night as I worked and the bill and left. I have a few more trips to Harlow for business and will check out other restaurants...

Absolutely lovely service and lovely takeaway meal iv been back a few times now always have the same each time which we enjoy

This place is possibly the best Indian restaurant I've ever been to. The food is amazing and is only topped by the incredible staff and service. Won't be going anywhere else!

Had a loverly kiyma naan bread with a lamb biryani was the best biryani i ever tasted apart from the one mum amd grandmother make i felt like i was eating some good super home cooked food . Dal was good stuff and tandoori CHicken my pAl had a vegetarian curry and was absolutely delighted with the taste guys were all such LOVERLY with service swell

Really nice food, the Sunday buffet is excellent. The staff were very good and we hadn't booked ahead so was unsure but no issues on this occasion. The food is top notch, they really put in the effort and it showed. Can't wait to go back. It's gone up a bit, but hey everything has recently!!

Popped in for a last min birthday dinner. The food was amazing as usual and moe let us try 2 dishes from the new smaller menu and it was amazing Music is always the best in here too ! Thanks moe for all u do xx

Great atmosphere friendly staff and fabulous food

I went to this restaurant for my birthday with family. The Sunday buffet was superb. The service was brilliant and they even gave me a bottle of wine as a birthday present!

Lovely food, had a 'vegetable doom' which was delicious best thing ive ever tasted, pilau rice, vegetable curry and samosas and chips all lovely best takeaway ever!!

I can’t write enough words about how good this restaurant is from food to service absolutely faultless. I chose the Artful Dodger stunning and my mum chose a Jonny T amazing. I have eaten a lot off Indians and these ones are on a whole different level thank you. When I fly again from Stansted Ada in I will come and visit 👍👍👍

Dropped into this restaurant on a quiet Monday evening and loved it! All the dishes were really tasty and flavoursome, not too oily, good quality ingredients. The standout dishes for me were the lemon rice - zingy and delicious! - and the halloumi/spinach samosas... they were small and expensive but the filling was so fresh and perfectly balanced I was almost tempted to order a second portion. Service was great too. Wish I lived nearer, would love to return!

Two Americans who lived in India collectively for six year and we loved the food. Quite upscale and creative. Rich flavors. Amazing naan. Not hip, but classically nice atmosphere down to small touches (like warmed plates) and slightly innovative twists on Indian fare that was so delightful.

Ate with with my mother reunion, 15 minutes away from Stansted. The second best curry I have ever eaten in England. The first one was a Michelin star. This place needs to be visited. Hospitality faultless. Can’t wait to come again

Staff were welcoming right from the start. Food was absolutely delicious (there is enough choice to suit various budgets) and was piping hot. Quality will usually come at a cost, but didn't think the prices were unreasonable. It seems that 1 negative review per year over the past number of years is just proof that humans are fallible. Staff went above and beyond to make the experience pleasurable and am sure a quiet word in the manager's ear would be acted upon. Wish we lived locally to make this restaurant a regular stop. Thank you Garden of India.

Absolute 5 star, food was the best Indian I’ve ever had and the chap there (sorry didn’t get a name) went above and beyond making sure I had exactly what I wanted (halloumi curry) would definitely recommend and definitely return when in the area again.

I have known Mo for over 15 years and from the first time we met he has been nothing more than a great host. Still to this day we frequent the garden as the food and atmosphere is excellent. My 8 year old son now has this as his place to dine out. Keep up the good work all.

I have been visiting the garden of india for over 15 years. Mo is an extremely welcoming host who will cater to whatever requirements you may have. The staff are always on hand to help and the restaurant has a strong family vibe (as my 8 year old will agree with) the menu is vast and certain dishes can be whipped up to suit your taste buds. We are always welcome at the garden and long may it continue.

Called last minute to grab something to eat while in the area. Such friendly service and made to feel very welcome. Lovely food and lovely service.

From the second we walked in we were welcomed like family. Mo and his team are beyond compare. Absolutely beautiful food and cooked to perfection. Everyone working here is a delight - so enthusiastic, dedicated and passionate about the food they create and serve. Their charity work goes unnoticed but is vitally important. As a 'northen' family we couldn't have asked for anything more xxxx

Absolutely beautiful food...cooked to perfection...staff are absolutely delightful,friendly and welcoming..I was also pleasantly surprised to learn this restaurant donates a take away meal for a family of 4 every month to a local charity that supports women and children fleeing domestic abuse. This a business I would loyally continue to support being as they pour back into the community. Had a takeaway this time but upon collection was wowed by the stylish and pristine restaurant...I'll definitely be eating in next time! Also there is a bar which was generously stocked. I can see us having a wonderful evening here

Really good Indian restaurant, all the normal dishes plus a great list of chef's specials. Friendly, attentive staff and prices are pretty good too. If you like your food properly hot and spicy try the Ron Mirchiwala, excellent dish.

Ordered on phone to be delivered. We paid by card over the phone. When I realised I had been over charged, I called to query this. The boy was rather rude saying:nah, your wrong" even though I had the website up in front of me. The food turned up cold and the bread was chewy. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because it turned up quickly.

The best Indian food in the area. The owner take care of all customers. Try it, I found it very good!

Mo and the team are truly wonderful. Making you feel welcomed, special and valued. Food is truly amazing, we tried a couple of the specials including a chicken and lamb dish. We were so full that we took some home so had a curry night later in the week. All food is very fresh, full of flavour and clearly prepared with ❤️ love

We popped in for the Sunday Buffet and were looked after nicely by Mo & his team. Garden of India is a league above the rest.

My wife and I visited on our way to Stansted Airport and if/when we are in the area again, this will definitely be a place to consider. The service was very attentive without being too effusive and all the staff were very polite and pleasant. The menu had a lot of interesting options aside from the usual things you might see. We explained my wife's dietary preferences and these were catered for without fuss or question. The service time between courses was long enough to not feel rushed and not so long that it felt slow. The food itself was top notch and the portions were well sized i.e. not too big, not small. Therefore we did not have too many leftovers 😉. This restaurant obviously takes great pride in the quality of their offerings.

Visit to this place was an absolute winner for me in Harlow. I enjoyed my meal and most importantly the service too. Genuine people and lovely food with great atmosphere. The place is air conditioned so a bonus during these hot evenings. I look forward to taking my extended family and friends there soon again. Thank you.

Found this place on trip advisor. Was working in the area so I thought I would try it. Was pleasantly surprised. The decor was beautiful. The staff were friendly. But the food was phenomenal . We tried items off the Nashta menu . Small tasting plates every dish was exquisite. The owner was a funny man. Walking around making every one laugh . Which I thought was strange . Also I asked for S club 7 to be played he denied my request. Definitely visit again .

Ordered a Cheese Nan, Keema Nan, was gutted to realise what i ordered there was very little Cheese or Keema, Complained to Staff, they were rude and arrogant, told me to go and eat elsewhere. Asked for refund, Staff refused, Will not be coming back here again. The music played was lame and stupid, playing opera music what the heck.

What a fine establishment. Had a meal here with my family and I cannot fault the restaurant at all. Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Very tasty food accompanied with impeccable service. Highly recommend to all! 10/10

The most expensive Indian meal I’ve had in 40 years… I’m astonished, Harlow essex, not a affluent area but saying that the food was nice. Shouldn’t moan about the price but it’s astonishing high and I’m not short on money I just can’t fathom how...

Mo and the crew are very friendly, welcoming and hospitable – and the food is amazing! Well worth making a special journey for :o) I'll be back there as soon as poss...

Great staff, nice atmosphere with lots of families celebrating birthdays - and complimentary birthday dessert which was a lovely gesture. Naans were lovely and fluffy, sizzling chicken and boozy wings tasty but two prawn dishes were a bit bland. Overall a nice meal.

Having moved away from Harlow in 2021, this was our first return visit since then & we weren’t disappointed. We met up with friends yesterday evening & choose the buffet menu , for all four of us. From starters to mains , the food choice...

Went for the buffet and was told it was a set menu and sit down buffet, I’ll be honest wasnt to fazed by this. Was offer popadoms which we thought would be included in the price but wasnt. Most of the staff were lovely and the food was very good. The owner couldn’t do enough for you even if u ask for a dish to be amended! The only disappointing parts where the waiter who cleared our table make us very uncomfortable that we left a lot. We did tell them the reason we came for a buffet was so the kids and us could try new items.the other let down was the price for drinks! We ended up paying nearly the same amount for drinks as the meal! Overall the food was lovely and nearly all the staff it would just be the price of drinks that would make us hesitant to come!

On the advice of friends, we visited this wonderful place. An amazingly beautiful place. Cozy atmosphere. The room is clean and beautiful. Delighted with the delicious food.

visited this beautiful restaurant on sunday the 8th of January . everything was exemplary up until we had a rude immature young waitress with black hair, ruin it. We asksed for the manager but another young blonde waitress came over and apologised on her behalf....

Sadly disappointed withbthebtaste of my dish, I had tika masala, instead of tasting sweet was very very salty. Not nice at all, ordered pashwai and a garlic nan, were mixed up rather than separate. Others in the group were happy with their food, manager is lovely. But won't be returning.
