Terrible food! Not visited for a few years and was very disappointed with the portion sizing and quality of food Used to be the go to place but standards have completely changed Will not be visting again!

Food was excellent came quickly and was very very generous portions. We had a mix of hot starters and there was five of us. It we only needed to main courses to share and ample enough to eat. Value for money

Very quiet when we were there! But good portions of good food at a reasonable price, served up quickly. A bright note at the end of a not very good day.

Freezing cold with no heating. Toilets out of order. No hot water to serve tea, I ordered Thai green curry and it was horrible. I returned it twice and didn't pay for that dish. Very slow service although the waiter was polite.

Always enjoy our meal when eating out at King Du, the service is quick and polite, great selection on the menu, and food always tastes delicious, plus the portions are very generous and reasonably priced. One of our favourites

Been twice this week and both times amazing! Cannot fault it everyone loved their meals. The salt and pepper chips were a big hit - incredibly tasty! Highly recommend!

I love going here, the best place to grab noodles, forget about the chains that come up, personally they have nothing on this.

Second time we have had a takeaway from here sadly will be the last. Prawn toast that was deep fried absorbing the oil like a sponge medium sliced instead of thick doorstep surely is no brainer. The rest of the meal was sub par and could definitely of been hotter although this could of been down to the delay caused by cutting through the cling film.

I've visited this restaurant 3 times now due to business trips away from home. Chinese restaurants are very hit and miss in the UK but this place for me is definitely a hit. The quality of meals and friendly service I've received have been beyond what I was expecting on all visits. The ambience of the restaurant is also very relaxed and unpretentious. All I can say is "try it" and make up your own mind. I'm back in the area tonight and really look forward to my meal later this evening!

Great staff and a big menu full of lots of options. We booked in advance this evening, they were expecting us and held our table despite us being slightly later than planned. Food was very good, salt and pepper quid was just cooked and was crispy and delicious. Really visible and attendant staff who were always available if we needed them.

Excellent food & good service. If you like a lot of flavour & a little bit of spice, I highly recommend the Mai La Beef Ho Fun.

Had a quick pre cinema dinner and it was tasty. The place is comfortable but not somewhere I’d like to spend too long at and the price was very reasonable.

It's been a long time since my last visit, possibly changed hands, used to be a wagamama style place, food was 'ok' wasn't keen watching the rats run around outside. must stress nothing to do with the restaurant, council should sort out as they have made a home in the tree beds outside.

Was a little disappointed with my birthday meal at King du. Always been a fan and always go to 1 of their resteraunts but for whatever reason it feels like they have made some bad changes. You used to get free rice or noodles with your main which now they are charging almost £4 extra for. I asked prior to going to keep people's orders separate so each person could pay for themselves. But they didnt. And left me to try and figure it out? Which led to me paying £15 extra due to confusion. They did this as they like to charge you 10% extra on large groups for a service charge. They are passing plates to my guests and asking them to pass them to the correct people which is very unprofessional and are we not paying the service charge for service? We likely will not be going back again or holding our work meals here anymore. The food is nice but as mentioned poor service. Poor value with the menu changes. Also to add a rather strange situation. My grandfather asked for a shandy. He was told they don't do that. He then said please could I have 1 beer and 1 lemonade and then they said no. Likely a misunderstanding but was a bit comical. He ended up with an OJ!

Used this takeaway for first time food was good, the only criticism is that it's rather expensive, it seems over priced, could do with the menu text being larger little on the small side

Quick pop in for a dinner with hubby whilst kiddies are at clubs. Food and service were amazing. Toilets and resteraunt clean and fresh .

Popped in as was out shopping with a mate & fancied a Chinese... Well all I can say is.. Fantastic food.. The pork noodles tasted great & not dry like others I've had before the beef in black bean sauce was just right & garlic chicken was just as good.. Well recommended & will be returning their when next over that way...

This Chinese was the worst one we have ever eaten. The rice was tasteless, The crispy duck was soggy and fatty, the prawn and chicken balls were just doughy. The chicken was hard and burnt, This was a large order and came to £100, yet all of it was inedible. Will never eat from here again! IT DOESN'T EVEN DESERVE 1 STAR!!

I tried this restaurant for the first time and loved it. The food was really nice, portion sizes were good and the staff are friendly. The toilets are also very clean. I'll definitely be coming back.

Haven't been here since years before the covid outbreak. Came back just 2 days ago. It was brilliant. Staff were lovely and food was as good as I remember!

The menu is vast which makes it difficult to order because you want so many dishes. Food is cooked as and when ordered and literally takes minutes to arrive. Always had tasty food and the noodles dishes are huge! Keep it up!

To the management of King du noodle bar I would like to say you have changed the quality of your dishes drastically your sauces are very watery and bland why these changes to your food .You had the best by food in the surrounding area . I've been ordering from you for years these changes seem to of happened when you relocate to the restaurant next the harlow bus station this is such a shame I would like to here from the owners on there thoughs

Best Chinese takeaway around; make sure to order their special yum yum dishes

Food was horrible. Rice was all squishy and no flavour. Noodles full of onions. No flavour, quite disappointed. Won’t be ordering again

Food and service is phenomenal. The only thing that stops it being an absolute top notch restaurant is the down to earth location and décor. Nothing wrong with that as I'd rather not pay more for things that are irrelevant. They concentrate on the important things and boy do they get them right. Generous portions and very tasty.

Extremely disappointed today. Ordered via GoGetters, arrived on time. But the food was nothing like it used to be. Haven't ordered for a while. Noticed the prices have increased again, but we wanted a treat so paid the price. We ordered: yum yum chicken with noodles - the noodles were bland, didn't taste like normal, only ate 1/4. Yum yum beef with egg fried rice - beef was clumped together & soggy. Salt & pepper chicken - it was as if they forgot the seasoning then placed it in the container with the chicken & gave it a little shake. There was a miniscule amount of seasoning at the bottom of the container.

Quality of food is second to none! Quantity is more than enough for the average person! Presentation is professional. Customer service is good.👍 I just wish they had sweet and sour chicken balla on the menu. Would highly recommend to others if you want somewhere relaxed and good positive atmosphere to enjoy lovely food.

My original review of this restaurant was 2 years ago: ***** Great food, good portions. Nice staff. 10/10 will eat there again. Now I've tried to eat there today Saturday the 26th of September and I walked out of the restaurant. The lady working there made us feel unwelcome and was rude to us, the place was also dirty and the table she told us to sit at was sticky. I will never go there for lunch again and I am disappointed how my original review had to be lowered to a 1 star review. If I could I'd give 0 stars. Wont be eating here again with such rude staff.

During the government scheme, eat out to help out, me and my friend went to king du for a meal. We arrived there around 4.30pm and it was getting busy and we were very happy to see they did abide by government guidelines, but we were so wrong. By 5.30pm the restaurant was almost full and there people continuously flocking in. There was no distancing between tables and all the while I could see this man, who clearly had some authority, kept letting people in and totally ignoring the rules of social distancing. Within 20mins all the tables in the restaurant were occupied and the area where we was packed to the point that the poor waitress had to squeeze herself between tables to take orders. We were disgusted at how they totally put peoples lives at risk. With this point put aside I was very disappoint with the food. It was inedible. I ordered a pork bao bun and it tasted utterly vile - one bite was just enough for me. the sauce did not go with the rest of the pork bao. furthermore my friend ordered a malaysian fried rice without pork and all we got was a few shreds of chicken and 4 shrimp, which we counted clearly this is not good value for money. Overall our dining experience at king du was awful

Absolutely lush, the service is friendly, the seats are ERM, wooden but who cares the food is tasty and the art on the walls is appealing even of some of it a piece bizarre. It's all worth it though just for the smily service and good food

Staff are helpful and attentive, food arrived in good time and everything was delicious. If you are ever to visit Harlow you've got to eat here.

Everything I said in my last review I stand by but this time the food was delicious. The noodles were perfect and the service was faultless. Overall the meal was excellent value for the money.

I like this place, its often lively and not the place for quiet meal for two but for a tasty meal for two then it’s perfect.. i have been as part of a larger group sitting on a large bench style table and as 1 of 2 and the food is great quality, fair prices and the service is good. The only down side for me is the location if your driving having to park and walk through the precinct but i would say its worth it.

Been here several times over the years and its great for lunch and evenings in groups or couples...not a huge menu which is great & you can ask for things that aren't on the menu sometimes...night time is great if you want to get food on a night out b4 or after drinking & it's a quick turn over which is great! There are benches for groups so you can all squeeze in

Managed to get in on a very busy evening and as usual, was not disappointed. Quick service with food at the table with a minimum wait. Huge portions and excellent flavours and choices.

A Jewell in Harlow's crown...If this place closed down, what would would be the point living here?!... Friendly staff and excellent food at very reasonable prices....Love the Malaysian fried rice.

Most delicious tofu in area and new chairs are very comfy.

I had vegetables noodles and both straight tofu (pepper and salt) and tofu based on a beans sauce (I think). Everything was perfect from service to food. Prices are inexpensive. Highly recommended if you are in Harlow town centre.

It was empty when we entered the restaurant. The waitress welcomed us warmly and explained our questions about the menu very well. She did mention that the portion size is big. And it is BIG, there are about 9-10 king prawns in the dish at the price below tenner. The dish comes with fresh mint and coriander, which is a big plus for my wife. I ordered Singapore noodle which is different to other restaurants (dry, curry flavours) . This one is moisture with a bit sweetish taste which I like more.The total cost is 28 pounds for 4 adults, really value for money

Quick service and freshly prepped Asian cuisine which the whole family enjoyed. Salt and pepper squid and beef in black bean particularly good, generous portions and Chicken and beef pho went down well

what a shock to find chicken in my vegetarian dish, i took back to the kitchen as they ignored me at my table. they didn't say anything just took my plate and said sit. i wasn't being treated like this so we all left with out payment. then the manager found his voice and became very rude to us.

A lot has changed since we last visited. The menu is different, there are no meals choices any more. You have to order everything separately to create your meal instead, like at a takeaway. This means the prices have gone up and there is less choice. There is a set menu you can choose from but everyone in your group has to be ordering from it, or nobody in the group is allowed. Very bizarre. Also, if you choose the set menu you're not allowed to have a doggy bag for your leftovers.The benches are hard and not comfortable to sit on, I had back ache by the time we had finished eating and couldn't wait to leave. We had 3 members of staff watching us eat which I found quite off putting. I dislike the way the food was brought out to us, it took about 10 minutes for our group of 5 to get everything we ordered. Everything is bought out in seperate bowls and you have only a small plate to pile it on to. Another complaint is that they don't bring the dishes out on trays and every dish was handled in such a way that ended up with a waiters thumb on the inside of the dish. I know it's petty of me but I don't think this is hygienic and I personally hate it. The only people who should touch my food in a restaurant are me and the chef. This place used to be buzzing on a Saturday night but the empty tables when we were there spoke volumes. I'm pretty sure we'll be choosing somewhere else for our next girls night out.

We have been to King Du several times and never been disappointed. Always had a good atmosphere and delicious food.

Me and my friend had gone to dinner here and it took over 35 minutes for us to get seen so we could order our food and then it took an extra hour for us to get our food and drink and when they had brought out food out they had then forgot our drinks and said we hadnt ordered any and we had said what drinks we ordered and proced to take 20 minutes just to check if we had ordered drinks or not and bring them out to us I will not be coming here again very disappointed and disgusted with how we was treated and spoken to..
