Haven't been here for at least a couple of years, having had a less than satisfactory meal on our previous visit. We thought we'd try it out again. Very friendly and welcoming service. We had the set meal for 2 and have to say it was excellent. Really tasty, as good as any Indian meal we've had in a while. Very reasonably prices too. If anything, there was too much food, as we struggled to finish everything, and left feeling uncomfortably full! We'll certainly be back soon, but probably choose a little less from the main menu.

Absolutely shocking experience . Phoned ahead to say “ we understand that you’re closing soon , is it still okay to eat in the restaurant , a table for two please“ We were told yes. We arrived promptly and were just seated , to then be told to “hurry up“ We proceeded (quickly)to order at least £30.00 worth of starters , (as neither of us can eat big mains ) After taking the order, the waiter then told us “no you can’t have any starters without ordering mains as well“ Sat feeling really awkward , I stated “I’m confused as to why it’d be a problem as the starters would have cost more than some of the mains advertised ?“ We were just stared at…As if that wasn’t beyond rude , and unprofessional, upon leaving we were then met with laughter from the staff. I really don’t understand why you even agreed to serve us in the first place? A real shame, as my family , 8 of us in total , were looking to dine here next month. I’d advise against anyone bothering to pay a visit to this place . Especially when there are far more accommodating and POLITE restaurants in and around Felixstowe & Ipswich

Have visited this restaurant over many years the food is always of the highest quality, the staff are always very friendly and polite and knowledgeable about the food on the menu, they also do a great take away service, you can even have a drink from the bar while you wait for your order to be expertly prepared, the only downside is they don’t deliver, but overall this is fantastic restaurant, would highly recommend.

We went to Bombay Nite as a couple for a spontaneous date night and for my partner to try Indian cuisine for the first time.. ordered one large coke each with 4 poppadoms to start. The cokes were slightly warm, but the poppadoms were fine….. we ordered our meal of a chicken korma, chicken tikka masala, egg fried pilau rice, plain pilau rice, saag aloo, Bombay aloo, onion bhajis and a plain naan. The korma was okay, tikka masala was okay, but over cooked chicken, egg fried pilau rice tasted like a microwave pouch not fresh, although the plain pilau was okay. Saag aloo was simply tasteless, bar the salty potatoes, Bombay aloo had the same salty potatoes but the Bombay was also way too salty, we had to order additional glass of coke because of the over saltiness, which took forever to get to our table, Onion bhajis were very nice! Plain naan was okay, but I’ve definitely had better… We were given a complimentary desert which was nice, however we both felt it was overpoweringly creamy. The service started okay, but very early into our meal the staff started having full blown, really loud conversations with some of the other customers, appeared to be friends, but continued their loud conversation right next to our table where we were trying to enjoy our meal and have a nice date night together… having this loud conversation next to where we were eating was incredibly off putting. Also no table cloths and started hoovering whilst customers were still dining… This being said they did take off the saag and Bombay aloos.

This is my 3rd of 4th visit to this establishment and again they did not disappoint. The menu choice is vast and there are plenty of different options for any eater. The food is excellent and favour cannot be beaten. Inside it is very clean, although the tables are not very spacious. We visited to celebrate a birthday and the staff were very attentive and go above and beyond. I will definitely be visiting again for my curry fix!

One of the sauces I'm sure was BBQesque which was nice & something different. I was in a hurry as under orders from her indoors, wish I could have stayed longer. Disgraceful. As just moved into the area tried the takeaway service which was ok but they sent us away with two very burnt peshwari nans. Complained and was told we could get two free ones next time. Gave them a second chance and regretted it!! The food, apart from one dish, was dreadful and the Nan breads were bad again - one inedible. Chicken Tikka was pink and not properly cooked. The chicken korma and passanda were in watery sauces. One of the dishes was supposed to come with rice but it didn’t. Wasn’t even worth complaining as will never use this restaurant again - be warned.

Mushroom rice , think they got the portion wrong , hardy any rice in the container. The chicken tikka in the 2 curry’s was like the normal cheap chicken, pathia madras’s was like a watered down masala, no taste , no spice , and no temperature. Chicken tikka curry , was also watered down . Very poor indeed . Who the hell is in the kitchen, certainly can’t be any chefs . Wouldn’t recommend. Save ur money

Ordered takeaway from here for 6 on Sunday 20th August to celebrate my daughter's birthday. A selection of starters, sides, rice and main's for both meat eaters and vegetarian's. All dishes were delicious, hot and plentiful. (In fact the salad that was left over was still crisp, fresh and tasty on Wednesday!). If I had to fault anything at all it would be the poppadoms. But these are never the same as a takeaway as there is obviously a delay from cooking to serving so not Bombay Nite's fault. (We chose to order them!) Thanks to all for a very enjoyable birthday meal. Highly recommended :)

I was so looking forward to going to this restaurant for my birthday as I had been before just before the pandemic and it was excellent. However this time it wasn't a good experience at all. It took a while before someone took our drinks order and when we drank them the lager we think had been diluted down and my shandy just tasted like sweetish water. When the starters came they were just plonked on the table so we had to take them ourselves and my prawns were like rubber and over done. The pilau rice had frozen mixed veg mixed in the rice! I've never seen it served like that and definitely not authentic. The rest of the food abysmal. The decor needs overhauling as very worn and the table coverings were brown vinyl wipeable cloth and depressing...no white tablecloths which would have looked more pleasant. How has this award winning restaurant become like this with offhand waiters?

Terrible food ever! Funny how such poor food is being served in the name of Indian food. We ordered Mattar paneer or “motor ponir” in their words and saag paneer and guess what there was no paneer but rather some cheap sticky cheese in it with a lake of refined oil on top of it! 🤦‍♂️ The Parantha was deep fried and the complimentary ice cream was low quality. The poppodoms given initially were taken away once main course was brought! I visited Felixstowe for the first time and tried this restaurant after reading these google ratings but what a waste of an afternoon. I even felt a little sick after eating there. I feel pity for the people who come there in the hope of eating Indian food and this is what they get.

Disappointing. Used to go here when I was younger in late nineties. Had a nice catch up with some mates. Decor is pretty much the same, or so it appears. Service was slow, forgetting drinks order 3 times, no pre meal poppadoms offered - had to ask, food was slow although it was quite busy so I'd allow that - 7pm booking so prime eating time. Staff chewing gum is not a good look I'm afraid and men's toilets clearly not cleaned regularly. as it stands, I wouldn't go back. Also, the sauces that eventually came with poppadoms tasted a bit funky - I've had raita at loads of places and they yellowness of this combined with off taste leave me wondering whether I will get an uninterrupted night sleep or not. Guess they've got complacent with regular customers who may not have noticed lower standards. There are much better Asian restaurants in the local area I'm afraid. I wouldnt recommend this at the moment. Shame.

There is a comprehensive menu of various curry dishes and the usual couple of English options for those with other tastes. When driving by you would probably not notice this restaurant but once inside you will find a very cosy layout of alcoves perfect for intimate dining. Must of been unlucky as majority of other reviews are good, unless they are all just easily pleased or don’t know any better. Food tasteless, service seriously slow. Chutney and onion bowls which go with poppadoms = disgusting. Can tell they re-use them without cleaning as all spilt down the sides and bowls put on shelf ready for next table after customer finished. God nows what germs are in the mango chutney if you checked it

Brilliant brilliant brilliant! The staff were excellent And very funny, the food was excellent and they even let me order a dish that wasn’t on the menu. Free ice cream and baileys at the end of the meal. Best Indian restaurant in Suffolk. Hands down

Went for a family meal chose a set meal for 3 people, there was a fantastic variety of dishes, unfortunately there was far to much food for us to finish it all, would definitely recommend, can’t wait to go back in the near future

Really gutted this used to be the best in town! Sadly the food was luke warm and bland. The place was cold the service was indifferent with little or no ambience. The decor is tired but maybe 🤔 If the food was good we would not have noticed so much. We won't be going back!
