Halloween event for the kids has been really lovely, the team have been amazing at engaging the children offering sweet bags, balloon ghosts and face painting (all free). Food and drink fantastic as always, a really nice place to come and relax 😊

I’ve been eating/drinking at Legra for a while now. I love everything about the place, the owner has bent over backwards to accommodate me and my family a few times when we’ve not booked or turned up just after food orders have finished. The staff are knowledgeable and courteous and it’s never a problem to sample a new cider or ale on tap. The food is cracking too, a small but tasty menu always keeps me coming back for more.

First time here over the weekend and the food was absolutely superb. A lovely place to visit and will be back soon!

Been here twice, once ate from a la carte menu which is top notch. Second time was wine pairing night and food was below average and very disappointing. Service is great, beer is outstanding and always a good atmosphere.

First time here and I'll definitely be back. Heard some bad things and haven't got a clue why. Really friendly staff, good beer list. Great food. Hit for me.

Good selection of craft drinks, bottles and draft. We had sharers which where very nice too.

We visit for quiz night, always busy, food is consistent. Basic but tasty. Can be quite a wait on food but generally because everyone is arriving at a similar time for quiz, can't say about other nights. Staff are super friendly and it's dog friendly. Toilets are always clean.

Always seen the place but never ventured inside until last weekend, wish I had come sooner! Legra has a large selection of drinks to choose from and the food was also very nice! Nacho’s were very good, great flavour and thankfully not using generic shop brought Doritos! The tacos were very nice however felt like they needed 1 more because 2 tacos is one short of a full rack! Burgers were very good, Legra burger and chef’s special fried harissa chicken burger, would definitely have them again and would thoroughly recommend them! Only downside was the hotdog was very bland in comparison to the other orders, no real flavour to it unfortunately. Staff were extremely attentive and friendly, they couldn’t do more to help.

Fabulous find, yum yum and great local beer

This is a lovely bar which my son has been trying to get me to for a few weeks. Very nice inside with beans but also very modern bar and drinks. I had the 'silly moo' apple cider and he had the cherry cider. Both very enjoyable. The young man who served us was lovely and told us about all the upcoming events which was very helpful Very nice experience will go for a meal there next time too

Food was okay although I ordered 4 dishes and 3 had crispy onions all over so they all tasted the same! Most of the menu seems to have crispy onions on which just ruins the taste of anything you order

When two such names as Leigh on Sea Brewery and Black Circus Food collide you know you've got a total winner. There's always an incredible menu on offer that's supported by wonderful beers! Service is always second to none too

We hired Legra Tap & Kitchen for a family private event in February. We would like to extend our gratitude for the way the manager Terry and his staff went out of their way to accommodate our family. A mention to Rhys who took our original enquiry and moved it forward. Nothing was too much trouble and all communication was with thought and kindness. This was from re-arranging tables etc. and looking after guests on the day. We decided on the cold buffet option which was really nice and well received by all our guests. I would not hesitate to recommend Legra Tap & Kitchen to anyone looking to hire a venue. Jill and Max

Came for the kids Easter do. It was eggcellent. Service was on point and most importantly the kids had an absolute blast with face paint and decorating eggs. Very rarely do reviews but this was worth it! The only thing missing..... Get a gate on the entrance so the kids can run about and the parents don't stress

Imagine being both the best place to eat and drink in this part of Leigh. Everything we've eaten has been so delicious, and it's such a novelty being able to enjoy so many different local drinks. Service is absolutely faultless, everyone is so friendly and accommodating! We have to come more!

Came here for dinner, the menu was very limited and when the food arrived it was disappointing. Seems to be just frozen battered food deep fried and served, nothing special. Good selection of beer and ale however.

This place is a little gem, we had a family meal for my daughters 18th birthday and we couldn't have picked a better place. The food was amazing not only in taste but value too, all our allergies/preferences were catered for, food came out quickly and hot considering we were a very large group. The staff couldn't be more helpful, had colouring for the children and a fantastic range of drinks. Will definitely be back

Food last night for valentines was lovely. Bit of wait for food, but the wine with the set menu went down well while we waited and the food was delish and super fresh when it was served up. Great value and the live singer was a nice touch 👌

Reasons to love: very friendly, monster hot dogs (maybe too monster) and spicy selection of food if that’s your thing - no pretence at being ‘gastro’ as such but fresh, tasty street/festival/pub food; big selection of ales and decent wine (refreshing change from standard pub Pinot and Chardonnay) and very dog friendly - so much so that Daphne the dog automatically turns in when walking by - this is wholly the fault of my son I will add. Things that could be better? I don’t actually like spicy food so maybe more options that aren’t and please bring in the fishy things that the kitchen has provided in the past/externally - absolutely delicious…. Especially the cockle popcorn that came and went so quickly when it opened!

Usual Friday evening drop in for a quick drink. Love the friendly atmosphere and and service and the beer.

Interesting place. Friendly and knowledagble bar staff, but was lacking atmosphere when I called (it was a very wet and stormy day and there were few people about). Probably better under different circumstances.

Delicious food - one of the best burgers I’ve had in Essex and the Korean fried chicken is juicy, flavoursome and tender. Great range of local beers, a new favourite IPA!

Recently just been having drinks, but have previously eaten food, Leigh on Sea Brewery are a great local brewery, with a huge selection of beers ranging from pales, ipas, ales, and some guest beers. You will find something to drink. Plenty of street parking, plenty of seating.

Shocking experience - ordered lunch, ORDER WAS TAKEN only to be told 10 minutes later that we'd have to wait at least an hour for food!! Service was abysmal, confrontational and very rude. If your open from 12pm perhaps you need to think about serving food before 3pm...what a joke!!! The response from the owner is poor...I came the previous day to when I left my initial review and oddly, ordered food for lunch at 1pm & it turned up 10 minutes later. If you're relying on customers to look at your website for the oddities about when you decide to serve food, then make sure it's consistent. And BTW I have never come across ANY restaurant, pub or cafe that makes a decision to serve lunch after lunchtime at 3pm, let along the appalling way we were spoken to by your staff!!! Southend and Leigh are fully of good places to eat, where not only do they serve lunch AT LUNCHTIME, but they make sure their staff are trained approoriate to do their jobs...so we'll be eating in these places, and not Legra Tap (and so called) Kitchen.

Absolutely brilliant night out. Wine tasting and quiz night. I tried two of the beers on tap suggested by very knowledgeable barman, pier train and lovely. Liked them both. Quite different. One bitter and the other sweeter. Restaurant was clean and roomy with pleasant and friendly waitresses. Loos were clean and well serviced.

We have paid a number of visits to the Legra since it opened, most recently in August. Not big craft beer drinkers, although I’m partial to a pale ale or a cool cider, but the wines options are good to accompany a meal. The service is consistently excellent, importantly so is the food, and it’s great value. Tacos or the burger being our norm, but must try the chilli on its own as it’s great with the tacos. Everything is fresh and full of flavour. It’s easy to over order as the food is plentiful, particularly if you have side dishes or starters. Well worth a visit. The only downside is it can get loud at times, and acoustically, particular out the back, it could be improved. A lot of that is down to who is in and how long they’ve been there though :-))

So nice to see something different appearing to be going so well. Loved the atmosphere, dogs and families being welcomed was great and a big selection of unusual drinks

Brilliant local bar! Really welcoming vibe, lovely staff and great drinks selection. They do a really good pub quiz too every couple of weeks!

This place is great! Lovely atmosphere with music in the background and not overpowering. There's lots of seating outside and the inside is deceptively big! Rhys on the bar (apparently known as the bearded beauty) is really knowledgeable on the drinks available and so polite! The food was great too I recommend the loaded nachos, loaded fries harrissa popcorn chicken and the prawn crackers with firecracker sauce. Tilly served us with food and was equally attentive she made sure we had everything we needed. It's also child and dog friendly! The whole experience with manners, service and attention to detail is beautiful to be part of.

A bit disappointed. The bar staff were very pleasant but had little idea about the beers on offer. More of a pub that Craft 'Tap'.

Popped in for a couple of beers and some dinner. Great selection of locally brewed ales and lagers with some ciders as well. Food was well presented with great portion size for the money paid

Good selection of food. Went on fathers day for the first time so may explain some of the following issues. App was having issues so had to order from bar. Tables outside were left for ages before being cleared. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Saw this place from the road and decided to give it a try! Sat in the lovely shaded garden and shared the amazing Korean tacos as well as sampling the BBQ! Great food, attentive friendly staff and lovely inside too. Will definitely be back!

We dropped in for a drink and something to eat. Food was great. Fresh and spicy tacos. The waitress Tilly was lovely and the barman was bearded and beautiful! We’ll go back again and again!

We went on a Sunday and we a bit disappointed that there wasn't a roast dinner option - however the options they had were delicious and we really enjoyed what we ordered. The staff were so helpful and let us move into a corner so my son didn't get overwhelmed. We enjoyed it so much we went back the following day for the tacos and they were amazing too. Good choices of wines/beers as well.

A wonderful refurbished pub, used to be The Harry. Serving great craft beer and delicious quirky international street food.

All the family enjoyed the experience, I had the mexican tacos, which were very tasty , the fries are very good. All this complemented by a great range of beers and ciders etc. The staff are efficient and friendly.

Fantastic roast dinner. The shin of beef wellington was a delight. The option of vegetarian pumpkin wellington did not disappoint. So much flavour and everything was cooked to perfection. This was backed up with the best chocolate browny and ice cream. We sampled a few of the local beers, so many to choose from we could have stayed all night. The friendliest of staff, chatty smiley and happy to be there. Dogs are welcome which always adds a calming atmosphere. Great value for money. Will be recommending and returning again by soon. I had originally posted quite a negative review of this new pub/bar/restaurant as I had been anxiously been awaiting its opening as it is a few minutes walk from my house. I attended on the opening night and while they had made the place much more attractive then the old Harry I was very disappointed with the beer as it was following the American trend for over flavoured/hopped IPA etc. Ok it wasn't designed for me and I guess I wasn't their target market. The table only service also really put me off. I am delighted to report that they have changed their business model and I now I love the place. The aspects I love the most are: they always have two first class ales on cask, the bar and restaurant staff are really good (particularly Ellie and Terry who are stars of the show), my dog is always made welcome, there is a nice buzz about the place, when its sunny it nice to sit outside in the spacious seating area, the foods great too. Anyhow, its splendid to be proven wrong about this place and find out that I am a devoted fan.

I went with my husband for a drink and some food we were both very impressed. The firecracker prawn taco’s were really good and my husband enjoyed the local brew. Going to try the Sunday roast next!

Brilliant place for a top quality pint, don't be fooled into thinking 'Legra' is solely for eating, the front area is bar service and excellent for a 'session'.... And you're spoilt for choice, with an array of top quality well looked after beers and ciders to try, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about what's currently on offer, and if you're unsure about a beer you can try a small sample before you buy!

The food in this place is amazing! ! I had the prawn taco's and my friend had the chicken, both were absolutely delicious and packed full with flavour.. Very friendly staff, great atmosphere and service. The beer is great too!

Had a lovely lunch a few weeks ago with friends I had the vegi tacos 🌮 , followed by the vegan brownie . Food was excellent as was the cider. I had the white peach 🍑 still cider, recommend by the waitress, this was so good and easy to drink. Definitely going back again!

Great choice of craft beers and though we only had bar snacks..nachos / fries etc, the food was good , overall a vast improvement on the previous establishment would highly recommend. Will return to try the burgers etc.

Great Sunday lunch with family. Excellent food, tasted home made - great Beef Shin Wellington and vegetables. Friendly service. Few menu choices for a main meal and quite pricey for a local restaurant. Good children's menu. Prices a little misleading - we thought the main course cost included dessert as they weren't priced separately. Despite all this we would return and would like to try the snack menu which looks amazing!

10 of us had a top quality Sunday lunch, that was enjoyed by all ages. The service was perfect, the atmosphere was great. Will be back
