Best Thai food experience ever.. Be it Food.. Service or ambience.. Everything was just perfect.. Would Highly recommend.. there are limited vegetarian options but everything was so delicious.. Our non-vegetarian friends too loved their food. All the ladies managing the place were very welcoming and took care of everything to the point. Would love to go again. ❤️

Really disappointed with the meal this evening. Sadly it was stone cold on arrival and the quality and flavour just was not there this evening. Really poor when usually it is brilliant. Did not hit the spot

Generally always good at Udom but the platter is overpriced for what you get.

I've been to Udom Restaurant more than five times, and they consistently deliver exceptional quality. As an Asian living in the West, I often crave authentic flavors, and Udom perfectly satisfies that longing.

Wonton soup was not at all good.

We had amazing lunch today! Pad Thai was delicious and the surprise was on the Mango Sticky Rice as dessert! Mango was sooo sweet and even we were full and we still being amazed! And the service from Ms. Bow was professional and she was so nice to us! Worth to go!

Excellent food in Southend - mixture of tasty, spicy and good range of options.

The restaurant has a nice vibe and staff are very friendly. I had the beef salad, it was really nice, only downside is its incredibly spicy. I can handle spice but this would blow your socks off 🙈😂 please put a warning on the menu 🙏🏽 otherwise really enjoyable

Had a really lovely meal here yesterday, arrived early, so it wasn't busy. We shared the starter platter for 2 which was delicious and accompanied with 3 dipping sauces. the main courses were equally as good. I had the stir fried prawn with chilli and thia basil, which had plenty of prawns, was well balanced with a bit of a punch. My companion had the prawn green curry with Jasmine rice, which he said was extremely good. Staff were very pleasant and attentive. This place was a great little find, will definitely be returning.

Probably one of the best Thai restaurants I had in the UK, very authentic and food cooked to perfection. Do keep in mind most of their meat dishes are quite spicy. Highly recommend the Thai milk tea, refreshing and not overly sweet. Also very friendly and caring service. Approved. Food ordered: Pad See Ew with beef Tom Yam soup with chicken (mushrooms come by default) Thai milk tea (this is goated)

Great Thai place probably the best in Southend. The food was so tasty and the service and friendliness was top class. Highly recommend this place the food was absolutely delicious!! We had pad Thai, red duck curry, soft shell crab and black bean chicken.

Wonderful Resturant. Superb food came today with family. We always use to order online. This is our regular eat out from now.

First time writing a review ever because I loved the food sooo much. I had spicy yum talay and it was hands down the best! The freshness of the spices and seafood is just perfect. Would totally recommend to people who love seafood and can take spice. Service was fast and friendly:)

Chicken Pad Thai was awful. No taste to it. Like each ingredient had been pre cooked and then thrown together. To describe as bland would be a compliment. Red curry and rice was nice.

Delicious food, very authentic Thai taste. Papaya salad with crab and fermented fish The basil and beef noodles are very delicious. I recommend it for people who miss authentic Thai food. The price is not too expensive. The best original Thai food. I recommend fried basil, beef noodle and somtum. It’s not expensive but good quality and delicious. If you find some original Thai food, I recommend this restaurant.

Honestly, this thai restaurant is wayyy better than the one in westcliff. You can taste the difference. Excellent service and the food is amazing!

We booked last minute on a Saturday night for 3 people. Restaurant had been recommended by our Thai friends. We arrived and were greeted and seated quickly and menus left. We were checked on and staff let us decide when we were ready for ordering and receiving food, they were very attentive, despite the restaurant being very busy. It had a lovely atmosphere. The food was amazing, having recently returned from Thailand, we were expecting authentic! We had the mixed starter for 2 plus salt and pepper prawns which were cooked to perfection. For mains, we had duck in tamarind sauce (very tender) , chicken and prawn green currues, vegetable pad thai , sticky rice and a papaya salad. We will definitely go again, it’s the best we’ve tried locally, thank you, lovely unexpected gem in the town.

Been coming here for quite some time. Good variety of food to choose from (vegetarian and non vegetarian). I ordered way more than what's for one person. Friendly helpful staff. they helped me to pack away the leftovers to take home

Excellent food with set meal planned and blended to give a combination of diverse flavours and textures which went together so well. Quantities just right to give a feeling of satiety. Staff welcoming and service both friendly and efficient.

Was such a let down ribs had no taste portions were tiny and drink was out of date very poor

Didn’t enjoy my expensive take away. The Pad Thai was too greasy and the prawns were tasteless. The Paneng Curry was too oily and watery. Fish cakes were tasteless and greasy and the sticky rice was hard, yellowing and too sticky.

Wonderful. We traveled from London and ended up here for lunch; although we didn't have a booing, they were kind enough to accommodate us. We had a big lunch for 2, and it was perfect. Every dish was done carefully and tasted like being in Thailand. Will be back

What a little gem this is, we went for a set menu with a variety of dishes. Everything tasted fab and fresh will certainly be back to try more. Beautiful teak furniture all hand carved a great spot we went for dinner

The food was lovely. it was a bit late, but that's to be expected as it's Valentines day. Two items were missing from the order which would have made the meal better.

Ordered a mid week takeaway as our thai friend had recommended Udom to us. We spent some time in Thailand and absolutely loved the food there so are really pleased to find a new thai takeaway to try and we were not disappointed - honestly my husband thought this was one of the most authentic massaman curry he had ever tasted with melt in the mouth beef. All the dishes we ordered were delicious - highly recommend!

Food is nice. Service is good, staff are friendly. Nice clean place. Service charge is added onto bill, no hand wipes after meal or mint which is a down side. Some drinks on the menu are shown as measures sizes, expected drinks to be served in glass bottles for under £4 but instead drinks are served already poured into a glass.

Will never order from another Thai !

Amazing Thai Food Place to go to! Everytime we go Southend Sea 🌊 we would need to visit this Udom for the authentic thai dishes. Good portion sizes, very sweet Thai Milk Tea for those with sweet tooths. Tom Yum soup was 👌 perfect blended with the right amount of spice, sour and flavour. Get the king prawn salad a must!

I’m in southend once every three weeks. Always eat here. Never disappointed!

Enjoyable food full of flavour. I really enjoyed the pork ribs which came in a really rich gravy and fell off the bone.

ordered prawn dumplings and they tasted off and fishy when they aren’t supposed to. pad thai was overcooked and not very nice. do not recommend

So happy I visited this little gem as been searching for a restaurant that serves Tom Yum like in Thailand and was not disappointed! I am from Thailand myself so finding authentic Thai food is not easy to find. Everything was lovely and we were given an above and beyond customer service allowing us to make a special request, making recommendations etc. Just brilliant! P.S if you’re a tea lover, please try the Thai milk tea. Promise you won’t regret.

Ok so a very disappointing first purchase from this particular place. Green curry, nice taste, nearly six tiny prawns for £13.00, was very as between myself and my daughter. Chilly mussels, again five tins muscles in huge shells. Sauce was nice but soooo much money for what did not feed two pescatarians. £32 - starving !!!!!

We had a wonton noodle soup and Beef slice noodle at lunch. We have been to Thailand many times so knows what the authentic flavor is. They were the same as what you eat in Thailand!! Great foods and great service. We will definitely come back again and spread the words to our family and friends!!

Lovely clean restaurant 😋 I had starter and main off the main menu but there is a lunchtime menu available. Waitress very friendly and the chang nice and cold.

I've been coming to this restaurant as a regular customer for over a year. The food tastes great, authentic, service very friendly and the atmosphere relaxing. Like the Thai ambience. The lunch deals are good value for money, good variety on a la carte menu. Would highly recommend the Thai style salads and chef recommended dishes. Ingredients tastes fresh. Food was absolutely delicious! Marks deducted on delivery because the driver dashed out before handing us our food or clearly informing the concierge that the food belonged to us.

After shopping I fancied a pad Thai . So we ordered a take away . Ordered 2x pad Thai prawn crackers and asked for pot of sweet n sour sauce . Food was yummy . Wasn’t till I got home realised I was charged £5 for a pot of sweet n sour sauce . Won’t make that mistake again .

No food received - so can't review the food. Why are you telling me to enjoy my food when I don't have it?

Food was divine. Took 40 mins to arrive instead of 1 hour 10, so that was great too, as I wanted it ASAP. Duck in Tamarind was so delicious. Pad Thai and coconut rice also superb. It ain’t cheap, but when it’s good, as it nearly always is, it’s well worth it, for a lovely treat.

I don't want to talk about how good that food was. That wonderful experience is in the past now xox
