Thamanna Tandoori in Rochford

We have always used Lubbards for our Indian food and it used to be outstanding. However, tonight’s food was very poor in comparison, there was just one bag of salad, no raita, and the mixed starters were dry and quite tasteless. To top it all, I asked as I always do for the vegetable curry that accompanies the biriani to be Madras hot, when it was delivered, I had been charged for an extra full size vegetable curry although I had gone through the order twice with the person on the phone! Will not be bothering again.

Absolutely amazing service, food best Indian around “don’t go anywhere else as waste of your time”. Flavours are natural and extras a lovely touch. Always on time and hot on arrival, I love the fact they use tinfoil trays as cuts down on plastic, cannot wait for my next delivery.

After being a very loyal customer and friend of Khan since their opening, their son has taken over and the business has gone down hill. The customer service is terrible and the son is very rude, after refusing to change dishes of an order he questions an elder who is meant to be a friend of his father, what his job is (aggressively and completely irrelevant) orders are also wrong and they fail to get orders right. Very appalling, will never return again, the business is run by disrespectful youngsters!

My family have had a takeaways from Thamanna several times since returning to Rayleigh in November 2018. The food is very high quality and reasonably priced. It is my favourite takeaway in Rayleigh/ Rawreth, by some margin. Portions are a good size and the set meals are very good value. I choose to collect, as it is just 5 mins away, but please note that it is not easy to find. The people who work there are very friendly. I wholeheartedly recommend this takeaway.

Called on a Saturday night and after 45 minutes it arrived. It was beautiful. Every dish, every bite. Was less than £15 per person and everyone loved it. We hardly ever eat Indian food but after this it’s a new favourite of ours. Well done that team!

Good food at reasonable prices. {sometimes gets very busy on a Friday & can take ages to arrive}. Based in between HULLBRIDGE and HAMBRO HILL. Last Friday, I could not get them to answer the phone. {needs to expand}.

Read the reviews and thought we would try it. Curry’s were bland and all tasted the same. Saag paneer was served with cheddar cheese instead of paneer cheese. When questioned, all of their paneer dishes are served with cheddar !!!! On the plus side, the lady who took our order was so helpful and polite x

Had our first order delivered from here last week and are just about to order another! Food was excellent, delivery was about an hour, but they did say it was busy and it was on time, so not a problem. Recommended 😎

A lovely meal yesterday, staff are first class. Good portions and chef uses their knowledge to ensure it's perfect. Spices are always well balanced but can be adjusted to suit your taste, just ask and it's no issue at all. If searching for a meal that is superb quality and value. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

Hemos usado estos chicos un número de veces y tenemos, sin excepción, han sido muy satisfechos con nuestra comida. Es muy sabroso, no grasienta y recién hecha. Al principio estaba un poco indeciso sobre pedidos desde un lugar que no es una "tienda", pero no dejes que eso te desanime, es realmente encantadora comida. Usted no será decepcionado.

Finalmente hemos encontrado la mejor pizzería en India Rayleigh. La comida es muy sabrosa y no grasa como algo de comida india. El servicio es fantástico. This is actually known as Lubbards now and is consistently good. In my opinion the best Indian in Rayleigh that offers delivery. Delivery is always prompt and food hot and I use it regularly.
