We had a lovely evening. Our food was delicious and the service excellent.

They have stopped the BOB so you can tell this used to be a big feature of the restaurant, due to less people in it. Food was lovely however and would recommend visiting. Pricing was fair as well.

We visited on a Saturday night, called ahead to book a table for 5. When we arrived there was only a table for 4 and the staff were very unorganised. I asked if I should just pull up another chair and the staff nodded. I sat propped on the end of a 4 seater table with my knees knocking against a friend's. The decor was nice, but didn't look well kept. There were stains on the tablecloth and we noticed an old food stain on one wall. If we'd had another option to eat with short notice on a Saturday night we'd have left then. But with little options we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. There was a table of 12-15 that was just finishing up. We ordered our meals after a long wait and after another long wait (for poppadoms) the poppadoms came out. In this whole time they'd still not cleared down the large groups table. The server put down two plates for the poppadoms (for 5 people), then left. When we asked for more plates, he seemed a bit flustered and came back with an extra plate (looked like the one they'd serve the bill on). Then after going back to the kitchen a few times, they went to the large table, picked up a plate that didn't look like it had been used, turned it over and shook it. Then proceeded to place it on our table... Shortly after, the server returned to the large table, picked up a single naan bread (that didn't look like it had been eaten) and returned it to the kitchen. It was very pretty suspicious and not part of the clearing down of the table (that didn't happen for a while still). I even commented to a friend "Good job no-one has ordered a Peshawari naan". At this point we discussed leaving and getting a takeaway, they brought out our food. They had also finally cleared the large table down and offered us a new table due to me being in the isle. The food was ok, maybe a little cold. They clearly knew they'd provided a poor service as they did not add service to the bill (I checked as I'd have asked for it to be removed). Finally as we walked out one of the servers said "Thank you for putting up with us guys". I am not sure if this place has recently changed hands as our experience seems to go completely against the other 100 reviews here, but honestly it was carnage. Poor service, average food and a lot of waiting. I will certainly not be visiting again.

Went 15th December with a group of 14 for xmas celebration. Bookedin for 8.30pm didnt get any food til 10.30pm. We rx the most appaulling service and then luke warm food in spit and spats , that was of poor quality and little difference in each dish. When most had finished what we did get ( as we were all hungry by then) the rice then turned up at end of meal. Dont go there on a busy night or woth a big group.

Celebrated special birthday with friends. Took our own alcohol, which is still acceptable despite now having a bar. Food was very good and reasonable. Staff very friendly. Decor has been updated. Definitely recommend it!!

They take so long you don't even feel hungry by the time the food turns up

Food quality was nice, price was expensive compared to other local Indian restaurants. Service was extremely slow even though there were only 5 other people in the restaurant. Absolutely no atmosphere whatsoever. Would not recommend and will not go back.

Passing through the town I stopped off here on a Saturday evening. I can confidently say the place has everything I'd want for a satisfying dinner. Friendly, happy employees, tasty vegetarian dish with fresh herbs, just the right amount of cooking oil (many Indian restaurants struggle with this). The decor is clean and bright and the prices are competitive. My only suggestion would be more green vegetables in the dhansak instead of so much potato and onions. I'd come back again if in the area.

Impromptu visit and this will now be my go-to Indian in Rayleigh. Service impeccable food delicious price on par with others. Really nicely presented and delicious.

Went here for an evening meal last week for a friends birthday. There was 12 of us. Once seated it took awhile for us to be served. Most of us had our own drinks but 2 of us asked for soft drinks and it was at least 15 mins before we got them. Once we had ordered our food we waited for at least another 25 mins. ( we had the £15.50 deal) 1 starter, 1 main, 1 side and a rice or nan.. very good value for money. I understand there was a lot of us but there was 4 servers.. our food started to come out with the same server, and he was was bringing 1 dish out at a time (mains) It took so long! Myself and a couple of others still only had a main and was still waiting for the rest of the food. A server came over asking if everything was ok?? Well , No, I’m still waiting for my rice and a side my friends were still waiting for nanns and a side. Once the rest of the food was delivered to the table, I must say the food was very nice and flavoursome. We asked for the bill and when I was paying, the server mentioned to me that he took off the charge of a nann bread as I had waited for so long. Well no you didn’t because my nann bread was included in the ‘meal deal of £15.50’ .. Not sure what he was trying to say but I’m not daft. We didn’t leave much of a tip either due to the poor service. The food was lovely but the service not so great. Shame really..

Really tasty food, will deliver but we usually collect, with a discount. Staff super attentive. Dining in is sometimes quiet early evening and that suits us.

It'll be there in 15 minutes.... 2 phone calls, 2 hours later, still no food. Jeez. One thing I hate is liars. If you're busy, or running late, say so. Worst service I've ever had. Will never use the again.

First time we have been to the Asiana since before lockdown and OMG what a difference. The restaurant has changed hands recently and lost all of the atmosphere and vibe it had before. We felt like we were on the set of Fawlty Towers with one of the waiters. Plates were almost thrown at us, as were all our dishes. Food was mediocre at best, completely different to how it was before and one of my pet hates, loads of sauce with hardly any meat. Such a shame as this was one of the nicest and good value Indians we loved to eat in at. There is no way we will be returning.

So tonight my boy had his first taste of an Asiana curry and he loved it.. Granted it was a Corma, but he absolutely loved it... Plus it got delivered by Pretty Boy who is my favourite member of staff.. You guys are the best.... Not only is the food out of this world, but the service both eating in and delivery is second to none!! Keep up the good work.. Neil

Terrible service. Only one waiter and even what he did was awful. Food wasn’t nice at the time and my wife got ill within an hour of leaving restaurant. Our son and friends went there a few days later and three of them also got ill too. We won’t go back. Shame as we used to like it for a cheap night out. Would prefer to pay slightly more and have a nice meal and not get ill.

Really enjoyed a recent visit to this venue. The food was very good indeed, as was the service. I note that they have introduced a £2.50 cork charge for persons supplying their own alcohol, would be great if they could offer fridge facilities to store bottles, cans. Wouldn’t hesitate in booking again when visiting Rayleigh.

Unfortunately this was very disappointing. For starters we had onion bhaji and vegetable samosa, both very dry and the samosa was tiny for the price. The currys weren't much better for us, very much lacking in flavour and watery. It was the most unusual tasting peshwari naan I've ever had, and we couldn't finish it because of the odd flavour. The vegetable rice was fine, but the potato wasn't chopped up so half the serving was effectively a whole potato quartered.

Best Indian I've had in ages. Would definitely recommend. Food came quickly, was still piping hot and was very very flavoursome. Couldn't recommend more highly.

Fed up with getting Luke warm food here we specifically called in (knowing previous experience) and asked that it be served hot. We were assured it is being made fresh for us and would be red hot. It was barely luke warm. Colder than normal. Nan bread was stone cold. Is it that hard to get this right? You are making it very hard for us to support you as a life business if you just cannot serve hot food for a takeaway. It's not even if it was sitting there waiting for us! We are completely miffed how it can be cold. Very disappointed as there is just no excuse.

Had a birthday dinner for family. Pre ordered the food over the phone , which was so easy to do as the staff are very friendly and helpful. Very reasonably priced and great tasting. The food arrived bang on time on the day. It was fresh and lovely and hot. A BIG THANK YOU for making our evening so easy during these " stay at home times. "

Food was good as usual and the waiter was really pleasant and polite. Beware though they now charge corkage! £2.50 per person...so the bottle of wine that we opened and poured ourselves would have cost a £5.

Terrible service and bland food, took ages to get served and then for the food to come out, even getting the bill took and age. The food was bland and disappointing, the restaurant was very loud due to a large group of people and as a result the order was taken wrong and then we were blamed for their misunderstanding. Would not recommend.

Can’t understand mhaydenuk’s review. I have been going to this restaurant for years and the food is amazing. The menu clearly states that you can bring in your own alcohol but that soft drinks must be purchased from them. I was in the restaurant the same evening and witnessed this group trying very badly to sneak their own soft drinks into their glasses. Poor show from them, and poor show on the review. Great service and I say again fantastic food.

Food luke warm, service was rude and unfriendly. Advertises bring your own drinks yet it seems an issue when you do got charged £7.50 corkage will never go back.

Ordered at 6:45pm, didn't arrive till 9:47pm! Called twice in that time, at 1.5hrs said it was on the way (was marked as delivered) the second the manager was very rude and threatening. 'We are busy, driver has left if you want to complain we'll bring your food back'. Driver was lovely and very apologetic, but food was luke warm and we had to microwave it. £3 compensation given after we requested a full refund. JOKE! If you can't cope then STOP taking orders!

Service was a bit slow but the food was lovely. If you don’t mind the wait it’s worth it. Lemonade is flat as a pancake, but hey ho! Curry was awesome .

We booked a table for seven people on Oct 24th last year for Saturday 11th Jan for a celebratory meal. We arrived to be told that there was no booking, and they suggested should have rung to confirm just prior to the booking, although no mention was made of this when I booked the table. There was no apology at all. We got a taxi home and talking to the taxi driver the same thing had happened to him. Customer service was extremely poor, especially as it was completely their error!

Great food and friendly service with bring your own drink so works out at a great price too!

Have visited a few times, the food is excellent and taking your own booze makes the evening very reasonable.

Lovely fresh food, but you have to take your own booze if that is what you want.

Not one to leave reviews but this was appalling. Took over an hour to be delivered to us and missing part of the order. Plus the food was nothing to write home about. Won’t be ordering from them again.

Currently in the restaurant one other table busy. They have been treated with friendliness and attentiveness. We have been ignored the whole time and when addressed treated with sulleness

I ordered a takeaway tonight at 18:53 for my family including my children. We were told it would be an hour for delivery. I had never tried this restaurant before but thought I would give it a go . When the order hadn’t arrived within 1 hr 15 I called back and was told the driver was leaving.in all I called 5 times and the delivery took nearly 2 hrs!My children are usually in bed at this time and it was no very late to start eating.When it finally arrived at 20:45 I was mortified that after the wait the food was cold and all had to be reheated and the mango chutney was runny and the poppadums were stale tasting. As it’s a local restaurant I thought we would support it but it was almost £50 down the drain.I wish I had never bothered and will not get anything from this restaurant again.If you want good service avoid this one!!

I must admit I've only ever used Asiana for takeaways. My daughter recommended it to me and since then I've visited about 8 or 9 times. I have always found the food excellent and the staff very friendly. They use proper chicken too! Not that pasty, pumped full of water chicken you find in many takeways. Obviously can't comment on the restaurant itself but if you want a great takeaway give them a try

We’ve eaten here a few times and know it’s a consistently nice place to eat. The main reason for this review is the level of customer care we experienced tonight. Unfortunately a customer was taken ill during our visit and even though it was our waiter’s first night there, he handled the situation with a cool head and all the staff came together to aid the poor guy who was awaiting paramedics, whilst making sure the rest of the customers were ok. Their professionalism was outstanding throughout what was no doubt a high stress situation.Aside from this, the food is always extremely fresh, full of flavour and well presented. It’s bring your own alcohol which really cuts the cost down on a great meal out.I cannot recommend them enough, thank you again Asiana.

ordered a Balti, it was fine, nothing special but I have had much better elsewhere in Rayleigh and surrounding areas. BYOB is good, easy to get from the shop opposite. Service was good. Decent if you want a cheap night out with friends, very good value but maybe not if you are a dedicated foodie, I would go to Rayleigh Spicy for a better-tasting meal.

Really good food, low key vibe, doesn't get too busy or too loud as larger restaurants can. Plus you can bring your own alcohol so it can help to keep the costs down.

I had to write this review today as went back for the second time last night and again the lads didn’t dissapoint. Great food and great service! Love the byo drink idea too. Will definitely be back!

Unfortunately our visit was very disappointing. The food was to a good standard but the service was shocking. In fact the worst I’ve ever experienced when eating out. The waiters table manners left a lot to be desired. It honestly came across like they didn’t want to be there and that they had no respect or value held towards their place of work. We were a table of 11 and all said we would not be returning.

Have been here on three occasions now, and each time the food has been fantastic.

Enjoyed a meal here last night, everything was delicious including two veggie dishes of jalfrezi and dansak. Also chicken passamda and dansak. Onion bhajis, sag aloo and naan lovely, couldn't stop eating!BYOB option made it cheap and good value for money.

Me and my family visited last night the food was delicious, I had chicken zalwala with special fried rice, saag ponir and garlic&chill; Naan. What a great restaurant bring you own alcoholic drinks which saves lot off money. Good customer service very professional.

Booked a table for 18.00 on saturday, we were taken to a table and asked if we wanted a soft drink which we did my wife had soda water and lime which arrived promptly and I had a mango lassi which took 15 minutes to make. We waited at least another 15 minutes for our order to be taken but when the starters arrived they looked good and were really nice, we had to tell the staff after waiting once again that we were ready for our mains, when it arrived it looked really nice and was very tasty. The whole time the staff are taking calls for takeaways which meant that there wasn't anyone actually overseeing the restaurant. When we had finished we had to wait to actually catch the eye of a waiter (the word waiter is used very loosely as they are just young men who are not at all professional and not very well mannered) In the end we went to the front desk to try to hurry the bill along and once again the wait for the waiter to add our order up.on a calculator The general decor is very shabby and doesn't seem particularly clean, We will not be going back.

Excellent food and take your own booze will definitely make it a favourite

We used to frequent this Indian a lot as the 'bring your own booze' option was a good idea. But after several 'oily' meals whilst dining in and a very poor take-away we now eat at alternative Indians in Rayleigh. Such a shame as the waiters are so friendly. New chef required?

Visiting Essex from Worcestershire the Asiana was a real find for my wife and I Genuinely fine dining, our two mains were fabulous, the mushroom pilau rice was divine. The garlic naan was lovely. Add to that some excellent service from Jay and you have a recipe for success. Do try it. Excellent value.Colin P.

All agreed food great, service top notch been going for years

Really enjoyed our first visit - three couples enjoyed main and sides - poppadums to start with salad and sauces etc - huge selection of dishes - my choice was Chicken Tropical Balti made with fruits (including lychees) plus shahi pilau rice also made with coconut and fruits - 2 course meal for 6 with some soft drinks (friends brought wine etc no alcohol licence so good for keeping costs down) was around £100, including four of us having desserts. Eastern Delight (Turkish Delight Ice Cream in Chocolate) was my choice. Great evening - place was full so would say essential to book.

Just had a fine takeaway delivered. Lovely food and lovely staff on the phone. Only downer was the onion bajis were a bit small and overdone.

Was having a lovely meal until I bit on something crunchy. To my disgust I pulled a wood louse in my mouth. Called the waiter over who took it to the kitchen who confirmed the unordered ingredient. Absolutely disgusted will be calling environmental health in the morning!

Lovely chicken masala, naans were a little small but can't really complain as we're tasty. BYOB is great extra!

As a BYO venue this place offers a level of value not enjoyed many places nearby. The food is good; no - the food is excellent!

Bring your own alcohol but you have to pay for soft drinks. The staff are all very friendly, I had the vegetable biriyani and it was so flavourful. When we arrived about 7pm it was empty and when we left at around half past 9 it was full up and very noisy. Very lovely atmosphere really enjoyed the good food and the night.

Quaint little restaurant. Bring your own alcohol. I had the English dish, Omelette, chips and salad but there was plenty and we'll cooked. My fellow dinners where pleased with there dinners, buffet style. Plenty left over for a doggy bag.

I organised a charity night out here for my sons pre school on 15th March. From the word go the service was great, good communication and I popped in to sort a menu out. There were around 30 of us and we had the exclusive use of the restaurant. Our food was a buffet and I have to say it was lovely! Plenty of choice and really tasty. The fact you can bring your own alcohol is great and makes it very appealing for big groups. We held a raffle and the staff were great throughout the evening. We liked it so much we are going to hopefully organise another charity night here in the next couple of months. Thank you Asiana!

Went here with friends for an evening out, the food was amazing, so much flavour and really well priced, we took our own alcohol which made it a much cheaper night than most Indians, the staff where great all night, gets very busy so would strongly advise to book if your thinking of going, look forward to going again one night

10 of us for a birthday meal, set menu on a Saturday night £16 starter main with choice of side. Great value. I had the tandoori mixed gril which was delicious. The service was excellent very friendly helpful staff nothing was to much trouble . its bring your own drink as well so don't get fleeced on price. Fantastic evening.

Hands Down the best curry in Rayleigh. The staff are lovely as well. The only thing that lets it down is they don't serve alcohol. There is a good selection of soft drinks.

Don't be put off by the stairs up to this restaurant, there is an extensive menu, the food is excellent and the staff are very friendly. The Asiana doesn't hold a drinks licence so you take your own which means a reasonably priced visit. I have been several times over the last few years which is all the recommendation you need.
