The best restaurants serving American food in Cardiff South Wales

Probably the best restaurant BBQ food that I’ve had outside of Texas. Service was friendly and speedy. My only very minor gripe was the volume of the sports on TV, but I get that I was in Cardiff and it was rugby. 🙂

Ok so I wasn't impressed it's been a few years since I've had a five guys and I remember why...... Massively massively overpriced, flavourless food and it's a just a bit rubbish and I absolutely will not be rushing back at all in fact i would rather go to a greasy spoon food truck than go back here....

So I want to Blue Jay Bar yesterday for furmeet event, the venue is really lovely inside with a lot of space for furries and it is well designed including upstairs. Now I haven’t tried the food sadly but I been hearing is lovely and staff are great too. The only problems I seen is some of lights don’t work or some are flickering which I’m sure does be fixed soon and me & my friend did notice upstairs the ventilator is leaking. But all in all, I well come to this place again (for furmeet obviously) I will give update on this review with the food when I’m going to try them, I see you all again soon. I've had it a few times. They're best branch is in JFK airport in New York funnily enough. The cardiff branch can be hit and miss. When it's good it's pretty darn good, but sometimes your left wondering where the flavours disappeared to.

huge disappointment with the Venue that was attended on Saturday. I have attended the venue many times before, where we were greeted at the door, taken to a dedicated VIP area and looked after. Drinks were on the table and all in all we had a great time. This was not the case this time around! When attending I told the door man that we had a table booked. He told me to go and see someone at the bar. After waiting for 15minutes, the bar tender told me to find a table and then come back for my drinks order. We found a table, but it was messy and other party goers were dancing on tables around us. We then waited another 15 minutes to get served. I asked for drinks to be bought to our table, but they said they didn’t do that. We then ordered 8 lagers, 2 ciders, gin & tonic and a whiskey. We asked for draught stout, but this was off. The selection was very, very poor. After starting to drink the lager (pilsner) we all thought that it tasted awful so went back the bar to complain. Again, we queued up and were told that we could have CANS instead, which were better. At this point I had enough and spoke to a manager and asked for our money back, but he said that he couldn’t do that, and we would have to request this via head office. He said that he would put me in a VIP area and reluctantly we agreed. It was so far removed from a VIP area, No heating, no entertainment and no atmosphere. We were then given 8 cans in an ice bucket, which tasted the same as the draft (Awful). We had a bottle of Rum, which was fine but to be honest by this time we just wanted to get out of there. So drank up as quickly as possible and left. Another group then entered the VIP area and left after about 10 minutes and even gave us their beers, which we didn’t drink as they were horrible. If I was to mark down my experience out of 10 it would be -10. Absolutely awful, I was very embarrassed that I took my guests there and will never attend again.

Vino para el cumpleaños de Hallie, así que fue un fin de semana lleno de entretenimiento, pero después de las películas en Cardiff decidimos pasar a comer algo y Sally fue increíble! Realmente nos hizo sentir extra especial! Sally es un mérito para tu equipo y si no es la gerente, ¡deberías hacerla porque era increíble! Espero que reciba una buena paga porque me encantaría que viniera a trabajar para mi equipo con habilidades como la suya. ¡Muchas gracias Sally!

Joey and Levi were amazing, they helped me with my drink selection, easy to talk to, easy to have a laugh with and they make the best coffee I have ever had!!

Fuimos a este restaurante anoche después de una visita al teatro y no encontramos ningún otro lugar para comer después de caminar de regreso a nuestro hotel, ya que era un domingo por la noche y era tarde. Éramos un grupo de 6 amigos de la Edad Media que nunca habían comido en cinco chicos antes. El personal era encantador muy acogedor, servicial y nos dijo cómo pedimos, encantadoras hamburguesas frescas estaban hechas para nosotros, nos sentamos y comimos y no nos sentimos apresurados a salir. El personal es un crédito a este restaurante, nada fue demasiado problema y allí sonrisas amables hicieron nuestra noche. -Muchas gracias.

Our daughter wanted to go here for her birthday, before bowling and cinema. We had chicken tenders meal. Our order was taken by a very helpful member of staff called Sally. We sat down and waited, not long after our food was delivered to our table by a helpful young lady, The food was freshly cooked and hot. The drinks are free refills. I will be happy to return to this restaurant.

Mi novio y yo visitamos este restaurante para una noche de citas improvisada, la realidad es que no podíamos ser culos para cocinar... A los dos nos encanta el pollo frito y después de haber descubierto este establecimiento en TikTok, decidimos darle una oportunidad. El servicio era eficiente, educado y amable, pero la comida era demasiado cara, mal cocinada y sosa... En un intento de darle sabor a la hamburguesa la ahogaron en salsa que luego dominó el tierno y no ayudó a la causa ni a disimular el bollo seco. Las alas estaban muy rosadas y mal cocidas y no las toqué. En retrospectiva debería haberme quejado, pero decidí no hacerlo. Las ternuras eran la única parte que se estaba poniendo fuerte hasta el último bocado cuando mi prometida tuvo un poco de pollo “masticable” que luego nos apartó de estos también... Para mayor claridad estoy muy decepcionado y no pensé que iba a dejar una crítica negativa, pero hemos tenido un excelente pollo frito últimamente y esto ciertamente no estaba en ese club.

Visitado después de un concierto de comedia desearía haber seguido caminando hasta MacyD’s. Entre nosotros tuvimos 2 patatas fritas de búfala ultima hamburguesa 8 alitas y pollo tierno. Era horrible que las patatas fritas no fueran comestibles, solo cubiertas de energía de chile. Las tiernas estaban tan picantes que no podía comerlas. El sabor de las alas era terrible.

always a good night out. security guards are lovely here, drink prices are relatively cheap for the area, the only issue i have is the entry fee

went in for breakfast and was met with mixed feelings. my girlfriend ordered the salmon, egg and guacamole bagel to which they received their egg cold. i ordered the sweet chili chicken melt and there was way too much chicken to the point you could not even taste anything else. in my opinion, they could have added less chicken with more sauce and perhaps some fillings could have been added, such as salad or tomatoes. i personally didn’t like the fixed options, i think it would have been more fun to mix and match whatever you wanted inside your bagel but to each there own. overall, the food was good!! just wish there could have been more flexible options
