Slim Chickens Cardiff in Cardiff

Our daughter wanted to go here for her birthday, before bowling and cinema. We had chicken tenders meal. Our order was taken by a very helpful member of staff called Sally. We sat down and waited, not long after our food was delivered to our table by a helpful young lady, The food was freshly cooked and hot. The drinks are free refills. I will be happy to return to this restaurant.

Excellent salad and tenders. Prompt service. Clean and tidy. Salad had more than I can remember, but the fried onions were a highlight and all the ingredients were fresh

First time at Slim Chickens will also be my last. Slow service, dirty tables and uninterested staff. Chicken chewy and cold. Back to KFC for me

Used to love this place came here today me and 2 of my friends and our food came out cold the man asked if theee was anything wrong I told him yes and he walked away so I got another girl over and told her all of our food was cold and she said we can stick it in the microwave which I replied no as my food was already stale and would be worse I was absolutely appalled with there customer service nothing was done about this!

RE-REVIEW. Last time I left a review we were invited back for a meal on them due to the service we received. We were offered either a free meal on Slim Chickens of our choosing, or 50% off both meals we were purchasing. We went for the latter and were not disappointed. The food was excellent and staff went above and beyond to ensure our experience was much better this time. Thank you, we’ll be back!

Tasty freshly cooked food but took far too long! Waited approx 25 minutes for chicken tenders. Service wasn’t overly busy either. It’s a shame because the food was great (far better than KFC!) but sadly we’re unlikely to return given the poor service.

Never visited before and pleasantly surprised. Very friendly, helpful staff and great choices on menu. Food was delicious and very good value for money. I opted for chicken salad and can honestly say it was one of the nicest salads I have had in a long time, beautifully presented and delicious. Would definitely recommend and will certainly return.

Weekend in Cardiff tried slims as I felt it was a no brainer. Had some tenders and they were delicious my burger was nice but not as hot. The fiery sauce was yum

All staff are happy which doesn't happen in other restaurants, I ordered a 7 tender hungry meal, with refillable drink and siracha garlic sauce. the meals are cooked fresh and are always hot. Well my first and last visit, as a seasoned traveler staying away 3 days a week this is probably the most inedible food I have ever eaten! I had the honey bbq meal and fried onions as a side, The salt level was absolutely ridiculous and the meal served Luke warm. On my honey bbq there was also no pickles! Sorry I wouldn’t serve this to my dog!

Great location and a simple service. Payment machines as well as counter. Fair amount of seating, advised by a ‘host’. Very good chicken!

If you like fried chicken 🍗 you would like this place as it offers more variety with different sauces of Chicken wings like Korean, traditional (plain) or choice from its six other different flavours. Chips are perfectly cooked and the milk shakes are good as well. Very tasty for a first timer to this restaurant one last thing - no greasy food at all.
