The Bagel Place in Cardiff

went in for breakfast and was met with mixed feelings. my girlfriend ordered the salmon, egg and guacamole bagel to which they received their egg cold. i ordered the sweet chili chicken melt and there was way too much chicken to the point you could not even taste anything else. in my opinion, they could have added less chicken with more sauce and perhaps some fillings could have been added, such as salad or tomatoes. i personally didn’t like the fixed options, i think it would have been more fun to mix and match whatever you wanted inside your bagel but to each there own. overall, the food was good!! just wish there could have been more flexible options

The bad reviews are hard to believe. I’m glad I looked AFTER getting my bagel. Came here for breakfast Sunday morning. Around 11am. Ordered a bacon and Brie on plain bagel. Bloody delicious. Due to a recommendation by a friend we only ordered one between two of us because of the portion size, which is fantastic. Would have had one each but lunch was booked so didn’t want to fill up. Tasted good. Really good actually. Good size and no skimping on the bacon or Brie. Will go again… and then again… and the probably again.

Very disappointed, have been here in the past and it's been ok but our pizza bagels today were soggy, the toppings fell off, and the cheese wasn't melted on one side, unless this changes I would not recommend, very hard to eat!

4 people behind counter waited ages for 2 bagels and 2 coffees, 1 boy doing our order the others standing around laughing and joking, He did my cappuccino first, that was standing there going cold while he did the iced coffee. Don't think we will be back

4 people in the shop including me waiting, So wasn’t busy…30 minute wait! For a sausage and Bacon Bagel, and an avocado bagel. No where to wait, everyone felt in the way, as staff were passing from where bagels where made, to the kitchen.. there’s no reason there should be a wait longer than 5 minutes. Nothing was made to order, so what was holding them up I don’t know. The avocado bagel… never again… there was hardly any avocado!! The ‘Avocado pureè and tomato slice’ it should have been called. Really poor..shame because the bagels were nice.. so In essence..speed it up, and change your toppings… and definitely re-think this rubbish avocado idea.. or put some on 👌🏻

Staff are absolutely brilliant, very attentive and polite. But I was disappointed with the food after hearing good reviews. For what I paid I was hoping for a bit more flavour, I had the pulled pork and it could definitely have done with some better bbq sauce and not shop bought slaw. This place could be brilliant if the ingredients had a bit more investment! I would return however 😊

Very nice food, prices not too bad. Good service. Make sure you go to the back of the shop and say hi to the dogs while you wait for your lunch!

Great choice of filled bagels and nice coffee.Quick service by smiling, friendly staff. Recommended.
