My experience with The Hide was somewhat of a mixed bag. Let me explain. My partner and I decided to go here for our anniversary - we are both big steak fans and wanted to try something new. Upon arriving, the restaurant was very quiet - for a Tuesday I expect this and it served us well. The lady who served us was nice, if a little clueless about what they did/didn't sell but more on that later. We sat down at a window table and was pleasantly surprised by how lovely the whole restaurant looked from where we were sitting. We decided on a corner-window seat as we didn't know how full the place would get later and didn't want to get in the way. I sat directly in the corner and was slightly dismayed to see that I had sat DIRECTLY under a speaker. It was rather loud and I had to raise my voice higher than normal to be heard by my partner sitting only 3 feet away. The server came to take our drinks order, and this is where things started to sour slightly for me. As a steak fan, I am also a huge fan of a good red wine to go with it. I asked the server "What wines do you have?" her response..."Red, White and Rose" - I couldn't help but chuckle slightly, so I asked what reds she had, she didn't know. The first thing any server should know is what they are serving, what is available and how much it is, she knew none of these things and instead had to go across the restaurant to the till, to check. She came back to me there was a Shiraz, Malbec and Merlot - not exactly a billionaire's banquet as you can see, but I reluctantly got the Shiraz - it was vile. I then got a pint of some-thing or other, and that tasted lovely. Partner got a gin and a cider, and again, no complaints there. Next comes the food. Like so many, we had looked online to see what was available and had chosen our meal, when we arrived, very little of it was available and for a 'steakhouse' the choice was rather lacking. We looked at the "menu" - which was a small piece of white paper with some items on it and appeared to have seen better days. For an establishment as outwardly beautiful as this, it was a big let-down to be handed a flyer - rather ruins the atmosphere in my opinion. We both got a rump with all the trimmings and a calamari starter - no complaints there, food was lovely, steak was cooked to perfection and the trimmings were delicious even if the peppercorn was slightly too peppery for my tastes. We had a great time there listening to the slow atmospheric music which was being played - if rather loudly and paid for our meal. The meal came to around £80, which was more than reasonable for what we had. My last point of contention is with the server's behaviour as we left. We started to make our way over to the door to leave, and she barely looked up from her phone to say goodbye - found this rather rude considering there was no-one else in the restaurant. All in all, a rather mixed experience. I would go again, but I would sit in a different place and lower my expectations going forwards. Special mention to the chef however, as he was lovely and came to see how our food was - you don't see that nowadays and it was a welcome addition to our experience. Probably see you again on Valentine's Day The Hide, even if the experience wasn't an overwhelmingly positive one, I believe you can do better and I look forward to seeing you try.

First time at Five Guys and the best burger ive ever had. Went for cajun fries, a nice blend of spices but maybe a little too much salt. Would have preferred less seasoning or half and half. Milkshake speaks for itself. The only negative is that i probably put on 2 stone drinking it. App was slow and laggy. No googlepay option?

Solíamos ENCANTAR este lugar, los batidos las bandejas de auténtica barbacoa. Las salsas en las mesas, los cócteles, el servicio. Solo puedo asumir que ha habido un cambio significativo en algún lugar donde se ha tomado el control para centrarse en las ganancias, sin salsas, menú reducido, sin extras y filetes en domingo, la reducción de costos hasta el punto en que sin duda reducirá tanto que ya nadie irá. Las colas de un domingo por la mañana eran una gran señal, mesas vacías y ahora no hay opción. Vete a otro sitio.

Called on a Monday around 1pm for an ice cream on the way home from Yorkshire Car park was not even a quarter full and only a handful of small children playing with their grown ups No queue at the ice cream parlour and got served straight away by a pleasant lady with a smile which makes you feel better The 2 scoop waffle cone with biscoff sauce was delicious and generous scoops and the coffee was nice and hot Will Come again at this quiet time !!

Pedí un par de donuts. El de la frambuesa estaba bien, Aparte del esquivador de la mermelada en la parte superior no había mucho sabor a frambuesa, El remolino de crema de mantequilla en la parte superior no era muy agradable, tengo un diente dulce y era demasiado para mí y era muy arenoso también Mi compañero tenía uno con sabor a limón que tampoco tenía mucho sabor a limón. La crema de mantequilla encima era de sabor muy artificial. También pedimos algunas cosas más amables galletas. No puedo reelaborar lo que estaban destinados a ser. El amable de arriba estaba rancio y el chocolate blanco no era muy agradable. El camino rocoso debajo era bueno.

Drove specifically to this subway as it stated online (and on the door) it’s closing times, however the staff this evening decided to close 20 mins early. The door was still open and upon waking in, a member of staff stated ‘we’re closed’ with no explanation or apology for closing early, and just stared at us as we stood there waiting for this. It was not forthcoming so we turned around and left. This affected our plans and wasted our time. Bad staff, bad experience.
