This was, without question, one of the most pathetic dining experiences I’ve ever had. After years of wanting to visit, we finally decided to give this place a go after a concert on Friday night. What an absolute mistake. We booked a table, arrived, and were seated—everything seemed fine at first. But oh, how quickly it all went to hell. Not long after ordering, it became apparent we were in for a nightmare. As the minutes dragged into hours, the frustration at our table was mirrored by others nearby, who were openly kicking off at the staff. And rightfully so! Over TWO HOURS passed, and we still didn’t have any food. I eventually had to get up and ask an update from the staff, who, by the way were more busy standing around gossiping like it was some social club that I wasn’t acknowledged for ages. When someone finally did, they offered us either a free drink or the option to leave. What a joke. At this point, it was already after 10 pm, so leaving wasn’t exactly a viable option anymore. Then the food finally arrived. And honestly? I wish it hadn’t. After a two-hour wait, you’d think they’d get it right—nope. It was cold. Was it just sat on the side for an hour whilst we sat miserably? The so-called “pizza fries” were an abomination. Drenched in some sickly, overpowering BBQ sauce, they were nothing more than a soggy, unappetizing mess. An insult to pizza. The burgers? Equally revolting. I’ve had better burgers from the greasiest of late-night takeaways. Again, everything was drowned in an obscene amount of BBQ sauce. I like BBQ sauce, but I wasn’t prepared to drink an entire bottle in one sitting. The whole meal was a disaster—cold, mushy, and utterly inedible. And let’s talk about the service—or lack of it. It’s bad enough that it took over two hours to get our food, but it’s clear this wasn’t a surprise for staff. Several other tables were visibly pissed off too. Here’s an idea: instead of cramming people into your restaurant and making them wait for eternity, why not be honest? Tell customers upfront if there’s going to be a ridiculous delay so we can choose to leave rather than suffer through your incompetence. Oh, and one final thing. If your staff are going to use the same toilets as the customers, they might want to WASH THEIR HANDS after using the loo. Nothing says “five-star hygiene” like realizing the person who just handed you your food didn’t bother washing up after a trip to the toilet. Utterly vile.

Después de ordenar tuvimos que esperar 2 horas para que llegara nuestra comida. El personal solo se comunicó con nosotros, cuando fuimos a ellos. Nos dieron una ronda gratis de bebidas que nos dijeron que serán “15 minutos”. La comida llegó 1 hora después. Los baños estaban sucios, sin jabón y basura en el suelo. Las mesas donde se había sentado a la gente, se dejaron impuras durante 30 a 45 minutos. Todos en el restaurante estaban esperando comida. Así que no fuimos los únicos. El personal de la casa era joven y hacía todo lo posible, especialmente con algunos de los abusos que estaban recibiendo. Tristemente esta será nuestra primera y última vez visitando.

My daughter and l had her Birthday there assuming but we thought we was going to get half price burgers throughout January, but there's a catch ,it doesn't apply Saturdays which on the add is misleading the customers , just found this out after emails and phones calls since this started , We had no choice as my daughter is GF and had burgers there before , , So l suggest ignore the add and ring direct then you will when booking for to confirm and ask details of times as well

Disappointed with the service and food quality: 1. We arrived without a booking and were turned away, even though we later saw online that a table would be available in 10 minutes. The waiter could have offered us the option to wait, but this wasn’t suggested. 2. We booked a table for 7:30 PM and ordered two burgers and chips, but the food didn’t arrive until 8:35 PM. Waiting over an hour for such simple dishes is unacceptable. 3. The chips were cold and inedible, which suggests they were prepared earlier and left to sit while the burgers were being cooked. This experience was disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to others.

My partner and I first visit to Almost Famous, but it was very good! To be a Friday, the staff was clearly under a lot of pressure, but they rose to the challenge. My partner and I had a good time, the food was overall good and the service was excellent - with all of the staff on the floor trying to make us comfortable despite running off their feet. All in all, today was very good and we'll definitely be back!

Visited here on a Monday for the half price burgers. We booked a table for 6:45 and were seated straight away. We were told there were a few things unavailable (chillis, coleslaw and a couple of other things) which was fine. We ordered two burgers and a side of tater tots, the food took around 55 minutes to come which for what was ordered felt slightly excessive. We weren’t advised there was a long wait on food when we arrived or ordered, staff weren’t really engaging and letting us know it would take a while but they seemed rushed off their feet and slightly stressed. The food was good but due to the wait time and service I wouldn’t hurry back.

We’ve just been for a birthday meal for my daughter and because we’ve had a great experience before we thought we’d try again. Well wat a mistake to make !! Out of the 9 meals 4 phoenix fries came out cold 2 burgers were warm not hot and 2 chicken dishes were cold !! After waiting approx 25 mins we got our orders hot but not all at the same time !! Fries still swimming in fat !! Eventually we asked for the bill to find we’d been overcharged for xtra fries !! We asked the cashier to take them off and mentioned again about the cold fries She went to see the so called manager who was an absolute waste of space with no customer service skills whatsoever !! He was a disgrace and only wanted to argue that if u didn’t like it u shouldn’t have eaten it !! We have never encountered customer service as bad anywhere ever !! Needless to say we will never go back again and would advise against anyone wanting a good burger and fries to avoid this place like the plague !!!

Muy caro. Hamburguesa muy pequeña sin lados, £ 14. 50 -Las patatas empiezan en £ 4. 95 Son casi 20 libras por una hamburguesa con papas fritas. - £ 7 por una copa de vino - £ 27 por una copa de vino, hamburguesa y papas fritas me parece excesivo No volveré a ir a este restaurante, la comida es mejor (y más barata) en Wetherspoons.

HEPZI WAS AN AMAZING SERVICE WORLD CLASS

Had the famous burger as it was a first time visit and you can tell alot about a place based on their signature burger. No marks lost for the food and the service was brilliant, however where we were seated, if you're on the corner then the light shining down the booth is directly in your eyes for the entire meal. It's the only thing I would change about my experience here at Almost Famous. Otherwise a brilliant spot for food and pleasant atmosphere. Hepsi our server was very attentive.

Had great bottomless brunch, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere our server was hepzi and never felt like we had to ask for refills as she was prompt in asking us what we would like. Would recommend this venue to others and ask to be served by as she was faultless. Look forward to coming again

Normalmente me encanta casi famoso, sin embargo, esta visita estaba muy por debajo del estándar. La razón principal fueron los “nuggets de pollo festivos” que se anunciaban en £ 6. Estaba emocionada de probar estos y dijo que venían con salsa especial. Lo que resultó fueron 9 salsas de pollo con salsa de tomate. Quiero decir, entiendo que los tiempos son difíciles y los restaurantes necesitan obtener ganancias, pero literalmente el servicio de pollos fue increíblemente descarado. Se evitará en el futuro, como he notado, casi famosos se están moviendo hacia estafar a los clientes en los últimos tiempos. Muy decepcionado como solía vivir este lugar, pero apoyará a otros restaurantes en el futuro.

Didn't have a great experience to be honest. Brought my partner for he's birthday and was really looking forward to it. We went early in the day and was very quiet. We waited nearly 20 minutes for someone to come take our order even though there was only 1 other table in. We then ordered super sized chips and not sure if we was given the wrong portion but they definitely wasn't super sized as we was charged for it jusy looked like a normal portion which is annoying as you have to pay for chips separately. Unfortunately couldn't find a member of staff to ask. Then after our meal we then couldn't find a member of staff to take our payment. We was stood around almost 10 minutes waiting with no staff in site. We could of easily walked out and no1 was around to.stop us.

Juicy beef, cheese stacked high, One bite in, I thought I might die. “Amelia,” I said, “this burger’s insane!” She laughed, “That’s why they all know my name.”

A great experience all together! Food and decor was brilliant but the highlight of the night was definitely the service from Amelia! She knew the menu inside out and gave perfect recommendations for us🤩. Will definitely be coming back in the near future!

Shae was our server, we have the best brunch experience very time and drinks couldn’t come out quick enough which is different than most places, so impressed with service - me and my fiance have been coming here for 7 years and the brunch is our fave now!

Almost Nothing. 45 minutes for the first drink to arrive. 25 minutes for them to take our food order. And yet they kept piling people onto free tables??? Overheard another customer whose order was wrong after waiting so long for it. Waiter abruptly put down the replacement and turned away without asking if it was OK. No IPA and at least two other items not in stock. In the end we walked out without paying a penny as they hadn’t even put our table in the system 🤨. Absolute shambles.

I'd like to thank almost famous - for 21 quid I will be fed for the entire Xmas period! Amazing cocktails, even better scran! Feel very full and satisfied after a superb meal!

Service was great and staff very polite. However the food was just ok - at a push. £11.50 for a burger that sounded amazing on the menu, but was mediocre at best. It was a cheap cheese burger and nothing more. Plus is was lukewarm. The fries with pulled pork were overly doused in bbq sauce and again barely warm. The worst bit for us was the awful, old plastic tray the fries came in. Absolutely awful. Really off putting. The fab reviews tempted me in but sadly I won't be going again.

Me and my partner came in for some food on Saturday night. Everything was delicious, drinks were delicious. Jack our server was an icon! Some of the best and most attentive service we’ve ever had! Thankyou jack for a lovely meal.
