Went for a family night out and it didn’t disappoint! The food was amazing, so much choice, plenty of drink options and the Dubai cheesecake was to die for! The staff were so lovely and attentive and great atmosphere

Food is really tasty and service even better! Very nice decor inside. I recommend the garlic mushrooms and the shawarma. The cocktail selection has something for everyone. Been here plenty of times and keep coming back. Big shoutout to Sam and Lana for serving us.

Came for a birthday meal with family. The service was the worst I have ever experienced and we eat out a lot. Took them 30 minutes to take the 1st drinks order then another 15 to bring the drinks. Had to then wait another 20 minutes for the food order eventually the food came and one of the orders was incorrect. Had Togo to the bar to get more drinks and was told the would bring the drinks to the table which took another 20 minutes. Service needs to improve 100% before any of us return

Absolutely perfect! The only place everyone loved their meals. Deffo recommend friends and will come again. Well done guys - I’m hard to please and you nailed it. Best bit. Coke and not Pepsi.

Geeeting was very nice and drinks order was quick but once food order was placed it was a very long wait for food! My hubby said his burger was nice but I had to send my mac and cheese back as it was swimming in grease and tasted awful the rest of my food was swimming in grease apart from the chicken which was hard. No one asked if we wanted another drink I had to go to the bar and staff seemed disinterested and rushed off their feet tbh. Cocktails were amazing and the best part of my visit. Don’t think we will visit here again!

Went here for a family’s birthday meal , service terrible waited over an hour for food , I had chicken katsu curry which the chicken was overcooked & there wasn’t hardly any sauce so it was extremely dry , never got asked if we wanted any more drinks after sitting for an hour & half ,we all had dessert which were very bland , unfortunately we will not be recommending or returning.

***DO NOT VISIT*** We waited 90 mins for food we had pre ordered and the wait staff were bringing out 1 plate at a time. This was the worst dining experience I've had . Don't waste your money. The manager couldn't care less.

It's a favourite of mine ... Plane and simple. Good quality bbq in Wakefield. Staff are attentive, venue isn't normally busy, but was when we went, so food took a while, because it is prepared on order! (I know some BBQ is obviously pre cooked) Drinks and food are a reasonable price considering what you get. Always leave here very full. They accommodate us regularly as a couple, a family or larger group! Always go at least once every 6mths ... Love it.

We came here with our 6 year old and we all had a range of different foods to which absolutely everything was delicious. The range of food is fantastic and everything was fresh and tasty. This was our first time visiting and certainly won’t be the last :) Thanks for having us.

We visited on the 8.2.25 for a family of 5 all arrived at 19:30 We waited 20 minutes for someone to take our initial drinks order, which took an additional 20 minutes to make The food order we had to remind the staff to take the order and reminded the staff numerous of occasions our food order was placed around 20:05. We also had to remind that we wanted another drink at the table while they was sat behind the bar (three of them) We had no forks on the table for a staff member to say we’ve ran out of forks Part of the food came out at 20:49 which was ribs, kids meal and a side of mac and cheese We waited another additional 11 minutes for more food to arrive and then another 3 minutes for the last meal to come out. Food was ok Never once asked is there anything else, staff just seemed to be lacking customer service skills and wasn’t customer obsessed for a valued experience.

Without doubt the best curry I've ever had was from this place. The staff the chefs and the restaurant is truly amazing very happy

An incredible meat feast! I could hardly fault a thing with my meal nor the service. The 'Full House' burger was top tier. A mouthwatering stack of chunky beef patties which had superb flavour, tasty pulled pork and bacon as well as thick wedges of brisket. The brisket was a tad dry in places so a little chewy but had amazing flavour from the smoker. The bun was sweet and nicely buttered but fell apart quite easily and was also a bit dry. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite though. The sweet potato fries were great and the coleslaw was some of best I've ever had. I also had a half rack of BBQ ribs. These were really good value for the amount I got. They were also up close to the best I've ever had. Very little fat and the meat was lean but had a nice crop coating from the grilling. It's not a cheap place to eat but you do get a lot for your money so perfect for a rare treat.

Had the pulled pork burger with chips. Burger felt small for the price. Atmosphere was quiet....it was lunch time on a grey December day. Service was fine.

Waited for over 15 mins for someone to come take our drinks order but never happened so was forced to go to the bar our self's. We had pre ordered our food due to being in a large group and the first time any member of staff came to our table was to serve our meals, and that was after waiting over one hour for the first starter to come out. Tried to raise my concerns with a member of staff but they clearly had no clue as to what to say or do. Good food, young staff lacking leadership.

We have been coming here for years and the food has always been of a good standard and today was no exception. Sadly, the introduction of a service charge has completely put us off going back, as the meals are no longer value for money in my humble opinion. I will now sadly take my custom elsewhere.

Good food and choices, new system of adding service charge automatically will just make staff not put any time or effort into Thier job and actually deserve a ten percent tip.

We went on a Friday night, it was busy but not too busy. We received a warm welcome from the staff who were friendly throughout our stay. The seats were comfortable and food was excellent, especially the brisket and loaded skins. Alcohol was fairly priced. We would definitely recommend and very likely to come again.

Out for a celebratory dinner with the family and was left unfortunately disappointed. This place is on the pricier side of things, nearly all of the main courses will cost you the fat end of £20 or more, add a couple of drinks and a dessert and your easily between £30-£40 a head. Then they sting you with a 10% service charge at the end which on a table of 6 for us (4 adults, 2 Kids) was almost £20 extra. Too polite to refuse it like a lot will be. The service is the same as you get at most places for free and you have to pay your bill at the bar like its a Nando's or a Wetherspoon's. The food is generally nice, hence the 2 stars but the portion sizes are quite stingy. My son is 10 and easily finished a double cheeseburger from the main menu and still had room for dessert. I got the BBQ combo Brisket and salt, pepper and Chilli chicken wings, the wings were really delicious but only 4 small wings on a plate that's costing £23 just isn't good enough. Then there's the brisket, I have had smoked low and slow Texas brisket before and this is not it at all. Its written all over the menu that its smoked for 14 hours but I strongly suspect its a beef joint cooked very slowly in an oven, then it has a kind of watery gravy poured on it to give the illusion its juicy and tender. As it happens, its quite nice and I ate all of it, but I was disappointed that you don't get a real smoked sliced brisket with smoke rings and the crust of seasoning on the outside. Its served with fries and coleslaw which were nice, but there's nothing extra or special about any of the dishes which justifies the hefty prices. Desserts, again were nice enough but nothing special and at £7 a pop will significantly bump up your tab (and service charge). Biscuit bases on the Banoffee Pie and Cheesecakes were a bit thick and claggy with chunks of it being left on the plate. There were no condiments on the table and we sat and waited almost half an hour for the bill which it turns out you pay at the bar, might be an idea to tell people. In conclusion, I have been served far worse food than at Smokehouse but when your charging high prices you expect better, and there is nothing about the service level that warrants a charge. I hope nobody from Texas ever visits and orders that Brisket because it could get messy. Like giving an Italian a Dolmio Spag Bol.

Average food for not very average prices. Knock £5ish off each dish & maybe forgiveable. Poor value for money

Nice food waited a while for it to come. Prices was bit expensive. Loads on offer,only 2 disabled parking spots was full no badges display. Outside huts for if you got dogs which I was impressed with.

Lovely selection of food and a great atmosphere here at Smokehouse. Portions are generous, we all chose a dish from the tapas menu as a starter as the prices were very similar to standard starter prices. I had the garlic, chilli prawns which were delicious. My main was the meat combo; ribs in Kansas sauce were delicious but my belly pork was a tad dry to be honest not as nice as the ribs. Would I come back? Absolutely

We'd just left Red Lodge Farm Raw Milk after restocking them with our Beetroot, Turmeric and Ginger juices. I googled restaurants near me and the Smokehouse came up. The name and bio sounded just like something I'd really like. We were not disappointed. We shared the Yorkshire pudding burger. . . It was awesome. Service was very good and the price very reasonable.

Standard food, a lot is deep fried and the oil needed changing as everything was dark brown and crispy. Came for tapas and was rather underwhelmed, sauces tasted straight for a jar.

Good food and very good service. Wouldn't say it was the best, most authentic bbq in the UK but scratched an itch.

Meat was very tasty, which really is the only pro. None of the waiters were very attentive. We visited Saturday night, there was no atmosphere unfortunately. They automatically add a service charge on which I dislike. I would have takeout food, but wouldn’t visit again.

Smokehouse is the hidden American barbecue gem in Wakefield. Honestly from the food, drinks to the ambience, you get yum and relaxation, just the kind of mellow everyone needs for date night or lunch date

Visited with family for a midweek tea recently, booked in advance but restaurant wasn’t too busy when we arrived. Nice selection of specials on the board as well as an interesting menu. 3 chose the burgers of differing varieties all thoroughly enjoyed and I had the chicken shawarma which was absolutely delicious can highly recommend. Nice clean restaurant well done out with comfy booth seating in many places, nice friendly efficient staff: would definitely return

Felt really hungry and decided on the trio of meat which was more than a match. The crackling on the belly pork was perfectly done.

Had a meal today for Father's day. Was disappointed. Looks beautiful, the decor is lovely. My husband chose the Full Monty burger. This was very small. A tiny pot of coleslaw and a few chips. My daughter and I had 5 different dishes of tapas. The food was nice and tasty but very small portions. We had to ask for a plate each and thought the staff where very inexperienced. The prices are on the high side, which we don't mind as long as the food and experiences match, but sadly they don't. We have come away still hungry! Unfortunately we won't be returning.

The food here is amazing, but unfortunately again the service has let it down. Came for Father’s Day, service slow, tapas served without plates, and then came to ask if we were finished when we were still sat with knife and fork in hand. Father’s Day, 4pm not even that busy… just little bits that are noticeable. However, the food is worth it…

Found this place for a spot of lunch. We were the first ones in. The place was beautiful, clean, and definitely had a good feel place to it. The service was quick. The bartender and the waiter were both helpful. There were so much to choose from the menu (see photos) they gave us reccomendations on what meal was a fan favourite etc. We ordered: "Nachos" to start with then"The Full House" burger and "The Chicken and Halloumi" Burger. (See Photo's attached) Absolutely incredible!! Tender, Tasty fully stacked goodness. I was blown away with it. The portion sizes were generous for an 18 stone man it filled me really well. The price is standard, it's not cheap but it's not expensive either but the quality is definitely worth the money. I could not discredit the food here from start to finish. I would highly recommend coming here with family and friends if you fancy a meaty feast bonanza.

The BBQ was delicious and cooked to perfection and the burger was also excellent. The onion rings are to die for!

Toilets were a mess. Staff did apologise and said ours was only table to notify them, umm. Food was brilliant as before.

The workers were very nice and friendly, the only issue I have is with my food, I ordered the 27£ steak-10oz and it was in a bath of oil, and so was the mac n cheese. Overall my boyfriend liked his food.

Really pleasantly surprised. The food was fantastic, particularly the pulled pork croquettes and Korean chicken burger (closely followed by the belly pork). Service was attentive and friendly. The interior didn't seem to match the food on offer, and the both seats we were in just seemed to cut you off from the remainder of the restaurant. It was also quite cold inside, which my wife and kids didn't particularly like. We would 100% revisit and recommend.

We went into town for food and were passing and decided to see if they had a free table luckily it was early afternoon so we were in luck. We sat a large table which was good job as we had tapas. The food came out quick and was lovely. Would highly recommend.

Visited for the first time yesterday and will definitely return. I went for the BBQ combo of Brisket and Pulled Pork and my friend had the Rack of Ribs. Both dishes were cooked to perfection, really tender and full of flavour. Both of us opted for the Banoffee Pie for dessert. You definitely get your money's worth with the portions served. Staff were really welcoming, and overall a really good dining experience.

My partner fancied ribs for lunch and we found Smokehouse on TripAdvisor. Staff were friendly and attentive and the decor and atmosphere were spot on. We had a couple of cocktails each which were delicious. I had fish tacos and potato skins and my partner had the ribs and pulled pork combo. Food quality was excellent and the menu had lots to choose from. We'll definitely go back.

It was our 1st time and safe to say won't be the last, a great vibe from the get go. The service was great, atmosphere was super chill but most of all the food was excellent value for money. Would highly recommend the brisket, belly pork & cracking with the hand cut chips (propper lush) as well as the Smoke house pilsner which was clean, crisp and refreshing. Our bill came to £51 which for 2 plates of food and 2 drinks I don't think is bad at all. We will be back!!!!!

Amazing, friendly atmosphere, tasty food and good prices too.

We arrived to be greeted by quite a rude member of staff in charge who was quick to inform us we had an hour and a half before he needed our table back. Upon getting seated, drink orders were taken and didn't arrive for 15 minutes. When we reminded the same guy we hadn't had our drinks, he rolled his eyes and said 'yea I know. We are busy.' There were 6 tables!! Food arrived and was mediocre. Ribs were full of fat that hadn't been trimmed and consequently veins and blood vessels that hadn't been removed. We were upset to have paid £65 to leave hungry and still end up needing to eat again. Definitely won't be returning, quality/quantity are not reflected in the inflated prices

Looked way more impressive than it tasted. Brisket, gravy great but why go to the effort of smoking brisket all day to pair it with dense hard burgers. At least use a panade in the burger mixture or have smash burgers. Disappointed.

quiet as it was weekday lunch but I suspect it's quite lively in an evening. interesting and unusual food not sure I would call it a BBQ place as there was much that wasn't meat or BBQ sauce.

Lovey staff and atmosphere, we we're a little bit disappointed with some of the the meals. The burgers, I think was a frozen patties, very dry, the price didn't reflect this. The chicken resembles a greasey deep fried fish. But the pulled pork, and brisket very very nice. I was told the ribs were excellent. But we weren't put off as there are many other items we would like to try (looking at other tables)

Decided to try a new smoke house as we normally go to hickorys. Sorry but for the price the food was very average. We got bao buns and at that price, 2 really small buns with little to not much filling and no sauce inside is pretty pathetic. We also got the fish tacos again , very poor. It wasn't a taco at all, it was some kind of small flat bread the same size as the bao bun, again with no filling and half of the ingredients missing. It isn't a taco so don't label it as a taco and for £8.50 it's daylight robbery. We got the beef brisket which had no flavour and came on the plate all wet. It didn't really taste like much and I had to ask for some bbq sauce to put on it. The louisiana ribs were good but again not much flavour as I was expecting. Service was poor but it was during the holidays so we didn't mind so much but we never got asked for drinks or anything else. But servers pleasant and polite. Looked understaffed. Not their fault. Place itself is really nice, good decor and clean. All in all for the quality of food and prices you charged for it we won't be venturing back.

I’ve visited this place once before and the food was spot on, service was great and drinks was spot on. This time however, terrible. When we first arrived we weren’t greeted with as little as a Hello, to then to told we only had an hour and half at our table. Poor attitude. In the hour and half we were given, from ordering drinks and receiving them, was 25 minutes. My partner then had to go ask a member of staff to take our food order to which he had a reply of “we are very busy” again poor impolite attitude. We then received the food, personally in my opinion I’ve cooked better salmon myself and the noodles were way over done and went clumpy and stuck together. When I questioned this to the member of staff, yes, she’s tried to resolve the issue but again stinking attitude. This visit was a version of events that I didn’t like and unfortunately I will not be visiting again because of this. All in all, the food was not worth the price.

Came here for a meal with my boyfriend the atmosphere was lovely and we got served fairly quickly. I ordered the holy cow burger and my boyfriend ordered the bbq combo and the food was delicious. The service we received was amazing and the staff were very polite. Safe to say I will be returning soon.

Went for lunch here with the husband after being really disappointed with other tapas restaurant. Food was absolutely delicious. Big dish of huge spicy olives , followed by six tapas . All were gorgeous! Order five or over tapas and get a free bottle of wine 🍷 The young man who served us was very helpful and efficient. Definitely be returning.

Food was subpar, ordered an eagle chicken burger for it to come extremely dry and half was batter. Took mains over an hour and a half to come, no glasses cleared from the table. Garlic bread was okay. Went to pay at bar and staff mentioned that I left half my meal. I said that I thought the food was poor. Only to be told that I’m rude for making this comment when I’m a paying customer! Absolutely appalling customer service. WILL NOT BE RETURNING.
