Top tier food, great customer service, staff is brilliant, overall 10/10 would definitely recommend

I was hungry after a long day. I had been let down the night before in another establishment. Chunky Chicken came through. No messing, half peri peri meal went down a treat. It was all reasonably priced.

Always fantastic. Not your average takeaway.

Peri peri chicken fries are my favourite. And always request for some extra jalapenos and they happily do it. I have tried fried chicken combo box it's so filling. But to me, chicken is a bit salty (fried chicken). Service is fab.

food was not ready on time, waited till receiving the ready for collection notification before setting off got there and they told us they haven’t even started making it yet.clearly rushed as we was missing pieces from our meal and chips were pretty much flat cold. normally very good service here and use very often.not happy with meal at all

I had an exceptional experience at this restaurant when I went to pick up my order. Despite being extremely busy, the staff provided top-notch customer service, treating everyone with patience and respect. The cleanliness standards were impeccable, with all staff members wearing uniforms, hats, and beard guards for hygiene. Not only was the food prepared promptly, but it was also ready before I even arrived for pickup. Based on this outstanding experience, I wholeheartedly give them a solid five stars and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for exceptional service and delicious food.

My favourite takeout in Wakefield. Consistent and always tastes good.

Food eventually turned up 1hr40mins late from ordering. When it finally arrived the food was stone cold bland and tasteless. If you are that busy turn off the machine and catch up with orders so people don’t receive cold food and have to wait nearly 2hrs

It's been about 4 years since I last had Chunky Chicken because of moving for university, so I wanted to see if the quality of their food was still as I remember it - I'm delighted to say they have blessed me once more with their consistently yummy wraps and burgers. Tortilla and bread were nice and soft, lettuce is crisp, chicken flavourful. Tried the popcorn chicken tonight and it was lovely. Thank you for being consistently delicious and even tastier than the big names out there.

Great pizza, cooked to perfection which arrived steaming hot with a fresh, crisp green salad as a side dish along with a smooth mint dip and a large (very generous) portion of fries from Chunky Chicken of Wakefield. Very rapid delivery by driver who was extremely polite and attentive ensuring my order was correct and as I had phoned it through. As usual “Just Eat”are still number 1. in their field giving the customer service sadly lacking in other would be imitators ! 5 stars for Chunky Chicken👍

Amazing chicken fresh salad and chips definitely the best halal chicken in Wakefield. Also the garlic mayo was soo tasty 🤤. Highly recommended lovely staff will definitely be going again

Really tasty food for a good price, didn't have to wait long. Eat in the takeaway and tables etc were very clean. Good customer service also. I will deffo be making this my regular takeaway.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE !! Food came very late and had to wait for the other half of our food even longer. Chicken wings were uncooked smelled and tested like fish. When we took it back to them they refused to swap it with something else!! No refund. Sometimes bad food can be forgiven with good CUSTOMER SERVICE however they were both pretty bad. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE !!

Usually a great place to order from. Today was a nightmare. Took over 1hr 35min for order to arrive. Had to phone twice to chase them up. Was told the rain was slowing them down. Food was in his hands but took another 25mins for it to arrive. Refused to accept it. Poor customer service, would have expected better to be honest. Never had an issue before.

Been eating chunky chicken for years now and have to say there food is the best in flavour and it also tastes fresh. The peri peri wings has got to be the best in Wakefield. There pizzas are nice too,platters and wraps. I can’t fault anything on the menu. Chunky chickens food is the best as it doesn’t give a greesy feel after it’s been eaten

So, we have been ordering from chunky chicken for well over 2 years now, only dined in a few times, we mainly order fo delivery. I know most people only review when they have a bad experience, I on the other hand have never had a bad experience from chunky chicken and can honestly say they are our favourite takeaway, our food has never been delivered cold, never got a incorrect order, never been under or over cooked. I cannot fault any order we have ever had. So for that, well done guys!! Thank you.

Chunky Chicken used to be better. I used to call it the best fried chicken in Wakefield. Recently the chicken and chips have become bland and no where near as tasty as they used to be.

Ordered quite a few times from here and it's always been good, great food.

Often order from here if not eating in. Food is amazing delivery takes longer than most places but worth the wait :)

We are a regular visitors to chunky chicken and whilst I can’t comment on the chicken or delivery, the pizzas are amazing. Fantastic value for money and they cater for all appetites and ages. The staff are great and can’t do enough. The food we’ve ordered is super fresh and not really greasy like some takeaways. Everyone is really helpful and when we’ve sat inside waiting for our order it’s extremely clean and the service is second to none! Highly recommend and well done chunky chicken for a first class service - we’ll see you soon x

The food is lovely I'd prefer to eat here than nandos or KFC 🍗 and great choice! However, if you order takeaway order it well on advance as it usually does take a long time to be made and delivered.

First tried Chunky Chicken 10 years ago when I moved to UK and lived in Wakey. Haven't been there for years I had a sudden urge that I fancy their chicken burger, went there and it tastes excatly as I remember. Deffo will stop by again in one of my next visits to Wakefield.

Very poor takeaway shop and dishonest staff about the timing. Orders wrong and when asked for correction took over an hour without even an apology. Very disrespectful staff over the phone. I have given them more than a chance but unfortunately do not improve
