The best restaurants serving American food in Yorkshire and The Humber

Good quality food. Yates good. Place is clean which makes a massive difference to me. Although I haven't been in a while I think I should visit some time soon

I have always liked this place and the atmosphere is still nice but the change of menu is a let down. While the burgers are not bad as such, there is a total lack of variety on the menu, it’s all fat food (burgers, chicken wings, etc. vegan available but still fatty greasy stuff). It just doesn’t match at all with the place. I won’t be coming for food until more variety is back.

Likely the worst food I’ve ever eaten, Luke warm smelly fat made the Chicken Burger coating drop on the soulless nothing whatsoever added bun, nothing, no lettuce onion anything, most uninspired meal ever… No one asked if it was alright, still tasting dirty fat, unbelievable….

Having eaten here for both breakfast and dinner I have to say it is really decent food for a mid range hotel. The selection at breakfast is vast and fresh, the new evening menu has a good selection of tasty meals. I tasted the ceasar salad which came without anchovies as advertised however was tasty and fresh. The chunky chips were delicious and some of the best I have eaten. I also had the focaccia and the tagliatelle pasta which again was tasty and fresh. A big applause for the chef. Whatever she/he does they do it well and deserve a shout out on here.

Soy un habitual en The Cock Inn y quería equilibrar contra algunas de las críticas negativas ya que es lo suficientemente difícil para los pubs locales. A menudo bebemos aquí y siempre lo pasamos genial. El concurso de los martes es brillante con premios en efectivo, bingo irlandés y sándwiches gratis (incluso pan y goteo en ocasiones) Las horas del té del viernes siempre están ocupadas y un gran ambiente. La hora del almuerzo del domingo es ideal para una bebida y un montón de pantallas para ver el fútbol. Sábados divertidos con karaoke! Fuimos el último sábado de enero y estaba lleno! Dudo que muchos pubs sean lo suficientemente buenos para hacer eso. Estaba lleno de todos los grupos de edad jóvenes y viejos todos despiertos para un buen tiempo. Sí, algunos estaban borrachos (shock horror en un pub), pero absolutamente no hay signos de ningún problema solo una noche divertida. La dueña es fantástica y hace que todos se sientan bienvenidos si eres un lugareño o simplemente de visita (pregunte a los trabajadores de Tranvía). ¡Acompáñame y pruébalo, no te decepcionará!

On a very busy Friday early evening we called in for a drink prior to our restaurant booking across the road. It seemed odd that with almost every city centre bar packed to the rafters with the after work Friday crowd there were just four people in the Guildford. I soon realised why after ordering our drinks. As we walked to our seats by the window there was an overpowering smell of urine, stale beer and body odour. We stuck this out for a while and then left. Not an experience to be repeated!

After looking at the menu i plumped for the fully loaded burger which came with fries and a drink of your choice, at a cost of £12.50. I haven't been here before and was expecting something quite special for the price. OH how I was wrong , after waiting over 30minutes i was finally given my order which came in a nice ,what i can only call , a small shoe box. with great expectations I opened the box to find some over cooked fries ,a small pot of Mayo and a sad looking burger . The fully loaded burger came with house sauce ,lettuce ,tomato , 2 pieces of pickle a slice of cheese and thin squashed over cooked piece of meat which was dry and tough. I would have been better going to MCDONALDS AND GETTING 2 BIG MAC MEALS which would have been tastier and cheaper . I cant see myself stepping over the threshold at this place again....

If your looking for a great venue and great food give this a try very good for a steak in a fantastic setting

I think this is the first time we’ve visited since it’s changed hands, and it didn’t disappoint. The food portions were really generous and the quality of food was good. I had the Mac and cheese and chicken which was lovely. Service was friendly and made us feel welcome. A few things that would make it even better… they have sachets of sauce which I don’t like at all… seriously, a bottle of ketchup or mayo goes a long way.. the seating is now looking dated but these weren’t issues that would prevent me from coming again.. Freakshakes….. you have to try these.. they were AMAZING

I ordered at 7:30 on uber eats not even a big order i scheduled it to be here for 9:15-9:45 still a joke but was willing to wait. I then got notified my order was only going to be here at 10:30 onwards. I called up politely asking about it i was very rudely answered too i asked if i would have my money back and was phone put down . Luckily ive had a message saying i will from uber eats .

Excellent food with brilliant service from the young girl Meadow who was very friendly and always on hand. Will definitely be visiting again soon

Lovely area this place is situated in and staff are friendly and polite we had a cookies personalised and it was absolutely amazing we will definitely be ordering again.

Been going here for many years. His donner meat and chips is excellent, comes with a large choice of salad and sauce. This man has been running this shops for more than 30 years. No one lasts that long if the food wasn't good.

Absolutely disgusting handling of food and the staff make fun of their customers in the back as you can hear them... the boss refused to pay his staff when they left due to having crazy people work for him with no back ground checks and pays extremely low wages to any one that's foolish enough to work for him. Reporting business for many reasons due to the nature of how the business is run and respect towards customers. Also write their own reviews so...

Nipped in here for one, very impressed with overall cleanliness and décor, good beer selection, snap looked good but did not eat myself, very smart and well - maintained toilets which are a pretty good indicator of what the place is like I think, strongly recommended.
