Likely the worst food I’ve ever eaten, Luke warm smelly fat made the Chicken Burger coating drop on the soulless nothing whatsoever added bun, nothing, no lettuce onion anything, most uninspired meal ever… No one asked if it was alright, still tasting dirty fat, unbelievable….

Been there couple of times. Food was absolutely amazing, but service have some room for improvement. Orders were wrong both times and you are left to yourself for a long time. They clean your plates, but no one come for 30 min to offer either desserts or bill to pay. We had to go to the bar and ask for it ourselves even though there was only 3 - 4 tables to serve and every other table was empty. Please be careful if you have any food allergies! Person with nuts allergy has been served dessert with nuts sprinkled all over even though we said they have the allergy. On a busy day you will wait for your main course and dessert 3 hours. Not busy day we have waited 2 hours for one course meal and a bill.

We popped in as cocktails are 2 for £10 so be rude not to! They were great, flirtini & daquari delicious! We were enjoying our drinks but surrounded by gorgeous food smells it was difficult to not order! Will be popping back for food for sure! My hubby will love it as it's all American style deliciousness. They were quite busy with a mix of families, friends & couples. It's decor is cool & industrial looking but clean. Everyone seemed happy so a must try!

Went in for my brother's birthday .The food was very tasty and e excellent value for money. Great service from waitresses . Will defiantly be returning.☺

We visited on a Friday night and booked in advance as it was my nephews birthday so there were 17 people. Always a bit tricky to get food at the same time and get it all right. We sat outside and had drinks and the manager came and took our orders whilst outside then we went and sat inside once it was nearly ready and pretty much everyone's food came out at the same time. No long waits which is normal with big groups! Smashed it! The food was definitely nice I had the liberty burger which I would recommend. Nowhere near as expensive as other similar places either. Manager even gave us a free bottle of prosecco as it was a birthday meal.

Visited twice, throughly enjoyed the food,I had a steak and it was cooked to perfection! Very generous portions and lovely friendly staff who go out of there way to give you everything you want ..have recommended to several people 👍

Had a meal with my husband on Saturday tea time. Rang Thursday and the young lady could only offer us a table at 6pm which was great. We ordered and had drinks, they had Ciroc vodka, which is our favourite , so we were pleased, and after a short wait our food arrived. It was delicious, exactly what we’d ordered. The prices were very reasonable too. The staff were attentive and friendly, we definitely enjoyed ourselves and will return again soon. I don’t know why we haven’t been before !!! I give this restaurant 5*

Well what can I say. Fresh burgers... Fresh onion rings..fresh crispy chips. Good service and a peanut butter milkshake that is simply wow! A MUST go!

Food is seriously overpriced and poor quality. The takeaway option is even worse burger buns like mush. £30+ for 2 burgers hmmm

Never in my life have I had food like this link chicken pulled pork no smoke an like water ribs out a packet no smoke first time and last for us staff didn't seem bothered no 1 else in the place now I no why

Ordered food to my house this evening. I had the burger with beef brisket on it with extra cheese. One of the best burgers I’ve had in Doncaster. The food arrived quickly and was still piping hot. The sides which were fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings. They were all brilliant.

Great burgers at reasonable prices. Had the holy cow burger which was topped with beef brisket and 2 homemade onion rings. Came with fries and coleslaw for a tenner...bargain. Plenty to choose from, nice pint of Sam Adams too.

Poor at everything. No coke..no steak. Food cold. Waitress was too embarrassed to ask if we enjoyed it. And grandchildren still waiting for their desserts

Ordered this evening, hour and a half to arrive. Quality and portions were appalling will not visit again.

We went for an unexpected night out and had a lovely meal. The surroundings are very authentic and the food was lovely- although be wanted the buffalo sauce is hot!!!

We visited on a Sunday at 6pm, 3 adults and 3 children.Food was good and portion sizes were good. Onion rings were bland but the rest of the food was tasty. Staff were friendly and the restaurant is nicely decorated.The reason I've marked it only as a 3 is that there are no desserts. No cake or cookies, nothing. The kids got ice cream which they said was really nice but that was all that was on offer. An American themed restaurant like this could easily offer key lime pie or Mississippi mud pie or brownies even if they bought it in. We felt like we were missing part of our dinner after we all saved room for pudding without realising that it wasn't an option.

This was our 1st visit to the restaurant. We were greeted by a very friendly waiter /barman who seated us very quickly. He was very helpful with any questions we had about the menu and the restaurant. The food arrived very quickly and was delicious. There was live entertainment while we were there too... We will definitely visit again.

Booked for 7pm , sunday, two couples.Groupon deal is for a burger and drink each ( bottle of bud or glass of wine) for 30 quid..bargain..we spent a further £40 on beverages in addition to the included drinks.There was just us 4 and another couple when we arrived.So a quiet evening.Service from the staff was excellent..we asked for half an hour to enjoy our first round before ordering the food..no problem..Food was excellent.. burger fries and a small side if coleslaw.. we asked for some chilli sauce and was offered the house hot sauce.. it was very hot and enjoyable..Just before our food came out a guitarist/ singer started his performance in the bar area.. he was engaging confident and professional..( Paul Barras)..he created a top atmosphere and made our evening in the smokehouse top draw..I tried the pickleback shot just before leaving.. it was unique and definately worth the 4 quid..Wc upstairs.. adequate..High chairs and baby changing facility was also stored upstairs.Overall the service food and entertainment were difficult to fault.Will be returning.

Looks great from the outside and inside is fantastic too. Staff were all very good, polite and friendly. I ordered a rack of ribs in southern BBQ sauce. As I'm greedy, I decided to go for the full rack with accompaniments. I was slightly disappointed with the portion size as it looked like one of those pre packed Tesco shove in the oven varieties. For £16.50 I'd expect an adults size. Not a child's portion. Having said that, they were ok. The sauce was delicious . I couldn't grasp the idea it was delivered on a metal tray covered in a red and White striped piece of grease proof paper. ???? the chips were served in a plastic basket???. C,'mon manager. Get the presentation right. It's a shame as this place has so much promise . Food tastes nice, but portion sizes need to addressed for the pricing.I left feeling I'd been to an American theme park and was waiting to join the queue for the next ride. Lol.

Went here with a good friend and we had a great time. Atmosphere felt a little flat and the pricing for some of the food was a bit much for a smokehouse. Its a little small place and its mostly dominated by a bar area that feels totally unnecessary. The chefs don't seem to have much room to move or cook effectively but they push out semi-decent food. The quality of your evening comes down to how busy the restaurant is. The quieter it is, the more corners seem to be cut such as canned drinks and food coming out a bit too quickly implying that quality is being ignored.

Visited the filling station with family to celebrate exam success. 6 of us in the party, each had main course, drinks and either coffee or desert after meal, bill was just under £70. Great meal and great value too. The service was fab, definitely would go again and would recommend anyone else to go too. Thankyou.. :)

I've been here a few times as just a "let's pop to the filling station for a burger" type of meal, always good food, always GREAT milkshakes, always very quiet when we go but maybe we just pick odd times to go! Will definitely go again!

First time for we was passing and the smell hubby said let's have tea here I had hot rod burger he had hot cow and oh my god it was good best food we had in a long time the staff was lovely we was seated and served quick it was full when we got there apart from 1 table of 6 now most places won't sit a table of 2 on a 6 but these girls that work there did there job very well thanks girl we can't wait to come back

great £5 lunchtime menu. Very good value and tasty food. Great venue for birthday party groups and you can call and pre-order if you only have an hour for lunch.

Arrived at 7. Place was empty. Coke was flat. Was replaced by cans.crab cakes like house bricks .No calamari. No rib eye steak. No filling In liberty chicken . trailer trash veggie meal was very bland.onion rings were greasy and burnt. Children's meal of chicken strips was in fact the cheapest nastiest chicken nuggets I've ever seen. These went home to the dog! And we are still waiting for the child's ice cream or even to be offered a dessert menu. Felt for the wait red who was embarrassed and apologetic. They knocked the price of 3 cans of pop a beer and a coffee off the bill. E-mailed them but have had no response...says it all really. In total we counted 14 diners ...7 of us and 7 more

Booked a table online via their website (super easy and fast) for Saturday evening at 6pm. Got there a little early but were seated as soon as. The server was very prompt with ordering food and drink so great to not be sat waiting for ages.I ordered the roadhouse burger, my fiancé had the full rack of baby back ribs with a side order of mac and cheese, my mum had the wham bam thank you lamb burger and dad had the sirloin steak.Over all the food was good but certain stuff could have been a little better, the salad my dad had with his steak looked a bit tired as they tend to do at most restaurants and the ketchup they had in the condiments tray was cheap. The beef burger meat was tasty and thick, the brioche bun was nice and sweet, you could tell the oil used to cook the fries was clean and fresh which is bloody brilliant,the large drinks actually were large and the coleslaw was rich and creamy. If you get a chance please try the mac and cheese as it ain't some crappy tinned stuff!I would definitely go again if I want a good burger but maybe try something a bit different next time.All in all it was a decent tasty meal out and would recommend it to anyone.

After commenting how good the place smells every time we've walked past, we finally decided to give it a go. Can only say we were disappointed in the experience, we ordered the sharing platter for £32 along with a bottle of white zinfandel rosé at £15.50 (massively overpriced for such a cheap nasty wine ), and expected much better quality food for the price. The ribs were massively overdone (the biggest disappointment, I've had better tasting ribs microwavable from Aldi ), the chicken wings and hot dog just bland, highlight were the huge onion rings but even the fries were just generic frozen kind. Expected a lot better from this place, certainly wouldn't be in a rush to come back, once we paid we were ignored by the staff and not even a thank you or goodbye as we were leaving. Probably being generous with 3/5, I likely scored them higher for the decor. Much nicer places to eat around town.

I Loved getting filled here. Probably the best I've had for a while. A bit of a lack of teens though.

Visited on a Saturday evening with friends. Tried to order various cocktails but no coffee, no amaretto, no Baileys. So finally ended up with Strawberry Daiquiri. That was nice. Ordered pulled pork, brisket, garlic fries and traditional slaw (couldn't have sweet potato fries because they had run out of them). Orders came out and they'd mixed the entire groups sides up and put them on the wrong plates. The "slaw" you got as part of the meal was a thimble full, the pulled pork was watery and bland, it tasted like it had come from a packet. Brisket was OK but again was lacking in BBQ flavour. Garlic fries were very nice. At the beginning of the meal we asked if we could have separate bills, to which the answer was "no, but I will work it all out for you at the end". That didn't happen, I had to sit and work it all out myself whilst the same waitress stood there looking puzzled. All in all, service was poor, food was just about OK, they had run out of a lot of key menu items on what should be their best night of the week for business and the whole place lacked atmosphere and a sense of identity. The manager was quite rude and impatient with us when we dared to ask why their special "Red Slaw" was basically just pickled red cabbage from a jar. Not a place that I will be returning to any time soon.

Arrived at a very quiet time 3.15pm on a Sunday. Only one other table was there. The heating was on full max blowing over the bar. A chef seated me and I said it's hot in here. He said it's the waitress who always puts in on as she's unwell. Having sat down and opened the dirty menus - I know it's a BBQ place but the menus were covered in sticky stuff and grubby. It was just boiling in there and I felt uncomfortable with someone who's unwell handling my food. So we left and went elsewhere. I wouldn't go back.

We wanted to try a different restaurant and was in the mood for some good american style food, chicken, ribs, slaw the works. Unfortunately we were unable to go out so was really pleased to see this restaurant is on the "just eat" app.We ordered a mixture i.e. combo consisting of ribs, wings, chicken thighs etc.. and a philly wrap along with fries and slaw. Total bill over £23 and this was with a discount!The food arrived hot however that is the only good thing I can say.The combo was 1/2 rack ribs (very small ), 1 chicken thigh and 4 wings!! All overcooked and very overpriced for what we got.The wrap was no better. Very disappointing. We will not be ordering again. Thank god I didn't waste the time getting ready to go to the restaurant. Not great and much improvement urgently required.

Went as party of 20 good was amazing as every service very good cocktails good had a very good night an rest of the family loved it it was there first time they all said it was a fantastic please so thank You all for a brilliant night

Had our first take out from here tonight.. It was absolutely beautiful... Hot and so tasty...I can't believe we have had restaurant quality food from comfort of our own home for less than 20 pound. Highly recommend and will definitely be ordering again...we struggle to get a babysitter so this means we are able to have the luxury of having a nice meal cooked for us but at home... Thank.you x

Hmm, I had high hopes for this place. The though of good smoked brisket and pulled pork made me really keen to try out this place. We shared a bit platter for 2 that had brisket (good but watery gravy stuff at the bottom), pulled pork (a bit tasteless and also accompanied by loads of watery gravy stuff that was also a bit tasteless), ribs (meh) , corn on the cob and chips (decent). Don't think I would go back to be honest. May because it was a Monday. Shed loads of Just Eat packages going out the door for a Monday night.

My sister brought me here for a meal to celebrate my upcoming wedding. We called on a Saturday just after lunch time, there was plenty of space to sit, it wasn't busy or overcrowded. The waitress was friendly and told us what cocktails were available, and made polite conversation about our day. There was a lot of food to choose from, all of which sounded really tasty. Eventually we decided to have wraps, they came packed full of meat which was delicious!! We somehow managed to put them away & instead of dessert ordered a cocktail each! The food was reasonably priced. I would call here again if I was in town. A good place to eat to start a night out off.

Nipped in here with our lass as we were a bit peckish. The place was deserted but then it was 4pm which is a bit of an odd time.Anyway got seated and orders taken by really efficient and friendly staff. Food arrived quickly, I had the brisket and the pulled pork and our lass had a philly cheese wrap. Both meals were great and plenty of it, especially for the price, my brisket was very soft and the pork was flavoursome. The wrap was also tasty.Why only four stars then? Well the slaw was a bit bland and the brisket is so juicy it made the wrap a bit soggy but minor points on what was a lovely meal in a place I will visit again

Had a meal here after myself and the wife got married the staff were brilliant nothing was too much trouble all the orders were correct and all the food came out together, the food was amazing really cant fault it we enjoyed it that much we used there takeaway service when we got back from honeymoon. Amazing food and lots n lots of variety definitely recommend!!!!!

I went with the family to this restaurant for a meal after a wedding.The meal itself was amazing. I had the Roadhouse burger and was very impressed with the product. Great juicy burger and pulled pork with onion rings. The size was perfect and price was very competitive.A lot of grease too but that's got to be expected with American cuisine lol.The staff were very friendly and kept the hungry kids entertained while we waited to the meals. Thanks for that!!Highly recommend and will be visiting again

Just stopped off here for something to eat after work. Never been here before and I can safely say it was one of the best meals I've ever had in Doncaster. This place brands itself as a smokehouse and just hits the nail on the head. Everything was perfect from the food to he service, and great value too. Definitely going back soon

We booked here for something different for my sons 12 birthday... Food was average.. Portion of coleslaw was a mouthful, Mayo left out on table which meant top of squirts bottle looked awful.. Staff not in uniform and needs a good clean .. No atmosphere at all but meat in burger and hot dog really good.

We visited filling station as a group of 8 and had a btilliant service from start to finish. Very polite and friendly on the phone. Very enjoyable night. Very friendly staff, very good food and reasonable price. Great cocktails and the staff gave my partner 2 free cocktails as it was his birthday. Other places could learn a lot about customer service from here. Thank you

Visited the filling station in a group of 15 for a birthday meal, we asked staff if we could make separate bills to make it easier at the end of the night and this appeared to be a big problem. They were reluctant to do this and told us that our food would be coming out at completely different times. What we couldn't understand is how separate bills affect the speed of the chef? We however went on with this and had a very delicious meal with good food and company. However the staff continued to make remarks about our group and how we were causing them issues. Very unprofessional. I would visit again as a couple or small family but would never take a group again. As the organiser I felt embarrassed that I had brought everyone to a place that made them feel unwanted and uncomfortable.

Went for lunch had the fill up for a fiver lunch time spiecal my God for a fiver you can't go wrong services was excellent and and food was very good you can't even go KFC or macds and get what we got for a fiver this place is a little gem going again on Sunday for the 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for 25 pounds what a bargin if you haven't tried it give it ago you won't be disappointed

Went in a party of about 14.... maybe we went too late? Arrived at 8.30... got drinks at 9... food after 9.30pm.... one waitress seemed to have had a bad day and wanted to go to bed...... she sighed a lot.... the food...... meh..... we've been to a smokehouse in Sheffield so was excited and expected the same. Very disappointing. Some of our party had starters.... glad I didn't. Calamari consisted of 4 tiny rings burnt to a crisp. The chicken in pretzel I think however.... massive portion. We had a sharing platter. At over £30 you'd expect a good feed. No ribs left..... the beef brisket was like ur mums roast beef on a Sunday when she forgot about it and it was a bit rubbery. Hot dog sausage was the worst quality...... pulled pork had no sauce... no flavour. Chicken wings were ok? Chips not handmade..... McDonalds French fries. Not nice coleslaw (cheap out of a tub). Not the kind of quality food you expect for the price. If you can see in the kitchen and you want to show it off then perhaps tell the young lad to stop taking off his hat and playing with his hair and then handling the food...... no...... I wasn't impressed. Shame, can see what they're trying to do.

After seeing good reviews of their original location in Retford, I thought I was in for some good American style food.Service was pretty quick, and friendly, we came in lateish on a Friday night and had no problems. It's clean and looks good but unfortunately the food didn't really live up to expectations for me. The nacho’s starter was okay, my hotdog was just okay too - the coleslaw was bland, chips definitely from frozen and not much flavour to the 'dog.The steak was fine, but again, nothing special about the ribs.But, Maybe they concentrate on the smokehouse, and nothing we ordered was smoked, so will have to try it again sometime as none of the food was bad, and thought it was still good value for money.

Brilliant place to eat, they're good with larger groups and smaller tables. The food is always lovely.

The food was prepared quickly and was exactly how it looked in the pictures which was refreshing! It also tasted great!! The atmosphere was perfect for our Christmas party of 15 but also were families and couples as well. Would highly recommend calling in even if its for a drink at the bar, one of the best White Russians i have had in a long time...

Went out with the hubby and brother and sister in law and they recommended the Filling Station. Really glad we went! They confirmed that there was a 30 minute wait for food but took our drinks order quickly and we were happy to wait. The cocktails were great and our starters arrived a lot quicker than expected. The crab cakes were amazing! We all had burgers for main and they were all huge! We ordered a side of onion rings and Mac 'n' cheese to share as well. We were stuffed by the time we finished and very happy! Would definatly recommended. The staff were friendly and chatty even though they seemed a bit under staffed.

We went with a party of 8, it was pretty quiet in the restaurant but took ages to come and take our order. The burgers were 'ok' but no better, the chips were no better than McDonald's. It just wasn't that special really which left most of us disappointed

I've read a few reviews that personally seem to be made up. I've eaten here and the food cannot be faulted , if anything you get too much , the staff are welcoming , the setting is bang on , had a couple of fussy kids but that wasn't a problem as rhey changed meals for them , frankly it's the best of its kind in Doncaster . Price wise it's very reasonable , of course not everyone will have the same experience, but some of the negative reviews I have to question if they have even visited the place , top notch in my book

Regular visitor to this little gem. After a warm welcome we sat to order our food and drinks. Customer service was excellent and very friendly. We ordered a medley of food from the menu and wasn't disappointed. Generous portions with lots of flavour. Looking forward to our next visit

Found this place Monday night and oh my God why didn't I no about it before were do I start are waitress was lovely drinks order taken and came within a few mins nachos to start out of this world then we had a sharing plater for 2 iv never seen so much food everything tasted amazing excellent value for money couldn't finish it all so we took it home had it the next day and it warmed up just as good I would recommend this place to any other place we have been before we will be back ever week now on are date nights

We thought we would try this American smoke house and we wasn't disappointed. Myself and my son had the piggyback frankfurter fries and onion rings, my fiance had a steak.all the meals were well cooked and delicious, my only gripe was the onion rings had too much batter on them. Would come again.

Lunch special for about a fiver so we didn't waste too much. Food served on a tray without a plate a la macdonalds. But why? Bbq sauce was unpleasant and drowned whatever meat i had ordered. There are many other restaurants in that road eg Lalezars so I'd try then instead.

Very poor meal , burgers dry ,panko chicken tasteless I asked for salad instead of fries ,served up in a tiny dish was a bit of lettuce and had 2 cherry tomatoes so all in all very poor food but must say reasonable service .Would not recommend , over priced for standard of food .Decided to go else where for pudding was not disappointed wish we had gone for the full meal ( popadoms and cream) which we all enjoyed .

I ate here with eight others recently. We ordered a variety of different meals from across the menu. Every person said their meal was either tasteless, dry or disappointing. There didn't seem to be much fresh food preparation in the kitchen and I suspect most of the food was in fact frozen then deep fried. I had crab cakes which were actually more of a cheap fish cake with some spice. I substituted fries for a salad which came as two cherry tomatoes and one lettuce leaf chopped up. I think if we'd have gone across the road to Iceland, we'd have been able to purchase a better meal. The brisket tasted watery and we actually took it home for the dog. Don't bother

Eaten hear loads of times and it's always gorgeous. Burgers, pulled pork and beef brisket are all lovely and live there sweet potato fries Decorated retro and always really clean.

Went in on a Friday lunch with my friend and daughter. The place has a good atmosphere and lovely staff. The food was mega and my friends daughter got free ice cream also which is always a bonus, that's how lovely the staff were. Will definitely be returning.

We went to the Filling Station in a large party for a work function. The staff couldn't do enough to help us, especially as we all arrived at different times. The service was prompt yet we were not at all rushed even though it was a busy Friday night. Meals were all served in good time and the quality was excellent. Thank you very much to all staff. Came here the day after leger so was really quiet. Service was good, menu was amazing hard to choose what to order. Ended up ordering the bbq pulled pork and cheese tortilla wrap with chips couldn't finish it as I was hungover :( food was amazing defiantly going to go back for a second visit

When me and my partner first saw this restaurant was open I was very against going I normally don't like to eat anywhere new, that was over a year ago and saying that we have been every single week nearly without fail, the food is that good. If you love bbq if you love meat heck if you love yourself you owe yourself a notorious P.I.G. I am currently on a tour of the menu again and have not found a single item that I wouldn't recommend to a friend a family member well anyone who will listen.That's enough about the food (but trust me you will never have enough of the food) the staff are very friendly and nice I have some strange quirks and habits that are embarrassing but the staff everyone from the bar staff the chefs to waitresses don't make me feel any different which is amazing.All together once again I have to say if you've got this far without one of their meals in your hand that go go now don't wait a second longer, future you is already thanking you.

The board outside happy hour on cocktails 4.30-6.30, we get there for 6pm to be told happy hour isn't valid on Fridays ( the sign doesn't say that) the cocktails were horrendous I had cosmopolitan which tastes like vimto and my husband had mojito which takes like lime juice only , when ordering the drinks we was told we could only sit at one table near the door ( there was 1 couple in the whole restaurant and the rest of the tables were empty) this is our first and last time coming here !

We visited the filling station tonight only to find they did not have most of the stuff on the menu eg mushrooms my philli steak wrap had ( well supposed to have mushrooms in )mushrooms in but no one explained that they would be missing I found that out for myself plus the wrap itself was dripping in grease so we're the onion rings in the end I just left the whole meal very disappointed and hungry !!

My second visit but first time for family after tell them how much we had enjoyed it . I didn't feel the service was as good as last time , the burger was good but the fries average , I thought we had had proper chips last time , on the positive my vegetarian granddaughter said it was the best vegi burger she had ever had .

Unfortunately I decided to try this place based on the reviews on TripAdvisor and this is the first time it's let me down. :-(The best way to describe this chain is as a very poor version of TGI Fridays. The food is probably OK for those who like it a bit spicy but even then it was quite bland/basic and nothing was to my taste, even the chips and coleslaw weren't as tasty as most other places I've eaten. Bare metal seating may be trendy but it's not comfortable, especially at my age. The service was probably the best aspect of the place but even that lacked lustre, so had I known what I was about to experience, I'd have made the 30 mile drive over to Sheffield to TGI's. If you're young, on a tight budget and into burgers and the like, this might be your kind of place but if you're more mature (lol) and appreciate the finer things in life, stay away!!!!

One of the best places to eat in Doncaster , the staff are really friendly , drinks are reasonably priced and the food… well the food is out of this world, nowhere else in Doncaster can offer this caliber of BBQ food, filling station is the place to be !

This was my 2nd time to the filling station after the 1st putting me off but I was persuaded to try again. All I can say is that the food and service are rubbish. It's overpriced and not a nice place to eat save your money

Oh my god went here Monday night I had a piggies back dog it was amazing never before have we had food so nice hubby had a burger with everything on it it was massive both served with fries and slaw both very nice you can tell slaw is own made it was very nice thanks guys for a wonderful meal

Tried all burger places in Doncaster, nothing comes even close to Filling Station. Their American food is more American than.... American Food In America.

As a vegetarian and allergic to wheat I'm pretty awkward to feed, I checked before coming and found some nice salads but thought I'd double check just to be sure. The staff here were more than helpful and made sure nothing was going to make me ill. To my surprise one of the staff popped over shortly after and offered to make me something special. A veg stir fry with beef mushrooms, chips and corn was agreed on after she checked what I liked. The food was delicious and over and above what I had expected from this trip, it was cooked well and made sure I wasn't ill. I've left very happy, the price was extremely reasonable and I'll make another trip if I'm in this area again!

Me and my friend visited for a hangover lunch and cannot recommend this place enough! Staff are friendly, perfect atmosphere and awesome decor! And the food!!! My god! A massive portion of deliciousness! We were gutted we couldn't finish it all but the pit grill pulled pork, beef brisket and ribs are to die for! We will be back... Probably every week! Thanks!

Being very much a carnivore, the Filling Station was an obvious choice for me! First visited last summer for a friend's birthday, and cannot for the life of me think why it'd taken a year to return!After a few hours of shopping with my brother in town, we decided to find somewhere for a late lunch. Popping into the Filling Station we found the perfect cure for our hunger! We had a 1/4lb barbecue pulled pork sandwich with fries, and boy were we full at the end! My brother didn't even manage to finish his, yet I just got the last chip down and needless to say wasn't even peckish for the next 12 hours!Great food, great atmosphere and great staff!

They do a kids menu so we expected this to be accommodating to families with kids. However they only really accommodate kids over toddler age. There are no changing facilities (we had a 4 year old and new born with us) The food is still very nice and the staff are very nice. Just they could accommodate families better. Also if you are disabled the toilets are up a few stairs with no lift access.

We went mid week so was quiet, I have been on a weekend before and would recommend booking so you aren't disappointed.The food was lovely, nicely presented with a burger, fries and slaw. The burger was a proper burger no pancake if you no what I mean. The fries where lovely, very crunchy.The kids menu is good aswel, and my daughters portion would easily fill an adult (she's 6, didn't manage it all but she said it was nice) the kids menu price also included a drink and an ice cream.

To the management- If you're going to accept online bookings make sure you check and add them to your handwritten bookings sheet instead of leaving them in your iPad beside the till and missing us off. Good job it wasn't busy so we still got a table. Other than that another great meal at the filling station. Very tasty. Service was a bit slow and inattentive tonight but it's been great on other nights so would still go back.

We had seen this restaurant when we visited the superb The Relish Bar & Grill the day before and this restaurant was just as good. Greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of staff as we entered we got a nice table were we ordered drinks while we checked out the menu. I opted for The All American Burger with a side of fries and after a short wait meal's arrived. The burgers was outstanding,big and juicey with a great filling served between fresh buns and the fries were also delicious,the combination made for an outstanding meal.the restaurant itself is cool with an American Diner theme,old cars built into the walls,gas pumps,U.S.A. memorabilia plastered all over the restaurant and exposed brickwork,just one great place to just enjoy a nice meal & drink. There was not one thing I could fault about this restaurant. We left here full and ready for the night ahead. Very easy to locate on East Laith Gate. Opening hours are;Monday to Sunday,11.30am till 9.30pm.A superb restaurant and well worth checking out.

Being the 27th Birthday of my son and we we looked for a place to eat in Doncaster and we found this place called the Filling Station and what a find, great find. The hostess Was helpful and guided us to some awesome food (of which we could not eat as the portion was massive). A really good place to come and the atmosphere & music complimented the feeding enjoyment. Eat here and you will not waste any money, throughly enjoy.

went here with a groupon offering a burger and drink for two people for £15. me and the wife both ordered the cheese and bacon burger and I had a bottle of Budweiser whilst my wife had a glass of wineas an extra we ordered a portion of onion ringsthe burgers when they came were absolutely huge and tasted delicious,obviously a prime piece of beef and the bacon and cheese were also lovely.came with a huge pile of chips and coleslaw.the onion rings were definitely homemade and were also great.couldn't fault the service and price for what we paid. had a glance at menu whilst there and the prices are on a par with other places in Doncaster like nyc,zest and relish,drinks seemed a little expensive but not too badenjoyed it enough to order another groupon and we will take the kids next time as we were informed it is a fiver for a kids meal which includes drink and ice creamthey also do a lunchtime deal for a selection of mains at a fiver eachlooking forward to returning soon

After seeing photos of the food from this restaurant my partner and I couldn't wait to try it! It was a lot smaller than I thought it would be, wouldn't go with as a group bigger than 4. The staff were very welcoming and we were seated immediately. We got some drinks and was given good time to check out the menu. It's a meat lovers heaven! Steak, chicken, burgers, brisket, ribs and more. We only ordered mains but they came within about 15 mins and it was delicious! I had ribs and the meat just fell off the bone! The pretzel covered chicken was also cooked lovely but lacked seasoning (I recommend cracked black pepper.) We also indulged in 2 cocktails. My fella had the Long Island iced tea which was yummy and I had a frozen strawberry daiquiri which was to die for!!! The meal cost £46.80 but we paid £50 because it was worth every penny. Would be more of a place for lunch but still recommend for evening meal too!

Attended as a group of 7 for a Birthday party. Food was Great and tasted really nice. Service was fantastic and the waitress couldn't do enough for us. There is a Bar, and the Milk shakes were really good. The restaurant it's self is very clean and comfortable and the presentation of the food was very good.Would recommend this restaurant to all. Really enjoyed the night thanks to all the staff.

Just come back from having a lovely meal with my other half! What can I say it was very nice I had the half baby rack of ribs (wish I had full rack) and they was beautiful the meat fell off the bone they was very juicy and full of flavours. I up graded my fries to the garlic ones they was nice just could of done with abit more garlic! (I love garlic) but apart from that the fries was amazing. My other half had the bacon and cheese burger that looked really nice a big juicy burger a lot of cheese and a side of fries and he loved the fries that much he asked for another portion! I wish I had more room for a dessert but I was just to full. I would recommend it to anyone and deffo go again I loved it. Thank you

Staff are very friendly and helpful here. The food is delicious, I could have eaten it twice and am looking forward to returning to try more options. (There's a small desert menu, BEAUT! We shared a salted caramel cheesecake between 3 of us, just to try and it was gorgeous)The milkshake menu...omg totally amazing (I had the Galaxy milkshake it was divine) Can't wait to go again (also can take the kids as there is a kids menu)Priced reasonably, and excluding drinks was £15 for a main a milkshake and 1/3 of a desert!

looking around for a quick snack saw the ad outside fill up for a fiver so I had chilly fries which were just the job filled the gap and had a beer too so not a bad place

Ate there last night. Great place, great food and fantastic service. We tried brisket, pulled pork and ribs. Brisket was juicy and falling apart. Pulled pork was smothered in the tastiest bbq sauce. Ribs were falling off the bone, and covered in a sticky sweet sauce. All were finger-licking good!You couldn't ask for more if you're a carnivore! We'll be back!
